These earbuds do connect but only have limited functionality. The volume swiping doesn’t work, NC doesn’t work, and I’m sure there are other things that don’t work. I like functioning buttons, if I would have known these buds are the swiping type, I would have passed. However, they sound great while connected to my iPhone and the app opened. AKG - make a Apple Watch app, please!
The power that the AKG N400NC can deliver is the only reason I still use these headphones. Now, with this latest app update, the maximum volume has decreased significantly. Please revert back to those changes, as now these headphones have become just regular cheap headphones rather than being AKG. Please revert back to how the sound reacted to the EQ in previous version. Once more, the impressive maximum volume these headphones delivered with the previous version of the app is the only reason I still used them, despite all the other issues the app and headphones have. Now, I literally have no reason left to use this app and thus these earbuds. At least provide some optional setting that would allow for truly maximum volume output, if you don't want to make it the default.
My N400nc earbuds connect just fine to my iPhone. For a little while, there, this app couldn’t detect them. This got fixed! I don’t have to switch my headphones to my iPad to program them anymore! I can change the equalizer in real time again! Life is sweet. At least, this particular bit of it is. It could be better, of course. The equalizer is a bit hard to use with precision. Devs, if you are reading this, adding an interface to the graphical parametric equalizer that has actual boxes with numbers to allow for precision into the app will earn you another star.
This app had stopped working thru all the iOS16 betas and then still didn’t work even when the official release of iOS16 was out. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be fixed since the app hadn’t been updated in 2 years, but to my surprise it has just been updated. I’m glad it works again and unrelated but I really enjoy the N400NC, especially with a little EQ. They absolutely blow the AirPods Pro out of the water in terms of sound quality.
The app is good when it works. However, 90% of the time it is not connected to my Y600 headphones. It will eventually connect, but usually after an hour or more. In contrast, the app for my Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones connects instantly and stays connected. I hope Harmon will fix this problem soon. Even deleting and reinstalling the app does not resolve the problem.
Earbuds I got are great. The app is not though. I’ve been having issues getting the application to recognize the earbuds. Even when my phone is connected to them, the app doesn’t recognize them.
This app is so frustrating. Everytime I try to go in, it does not recognize my earbuds being in. My left earbud is also turning off randomly which may be a part of the issue? but I thought it'd still be able to find the right bud at least. Frustrating experience from both the nc400s and the app.
The app found my N700NCM2 headphones instantly, connected, and everything works perfectly. The equalizer is great, adjustable throughout the entire frequency range. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍
The AKG K371-BT are some of the best tuned (to the Harman target) closed-back headphones you can get not just for $150 but period. However, the Bluetooth model doesn’t seem to be compatible with this app. This is really sad because these are so good. I plan to mostly use these with the XLR port instead anyway, though.
Often have my headphone paired and listening to music but app will not connect so I cannot adjust any settings. Akg needs to fix this so this app isn’t so useless.
The latest update has decreased the max spl significantly. I’ve changed nothing in the phone settings. The old version was much better. It also takes longer to connect the headphones to the app.
This app do not connect with my Y600NC most of the time, and when it does there don’t seem to have much functions. When the it does there is not much function: Smart Ambient, smart start/stop function, auto off and an equalizer.
It’s June 2020 and the app doesn’t work with the N60 headphones that came with my Note 9. Two years should be sufficient for compatibility. BT won’t find N60 so NO connection. Worthless.
it works first time then afterwards app keeps saying not connected and acts like my headphones not connected even though it clearly is and is playing music
My headphones are very clearly connected. I am literally listening to music on them right now. But the app seems to think this is a lie. I restarted the app, restarted my phone, unpaired and repaired the headphones. Nothing works. It is stuck on that screen asking me to connect. So the app fails at the one thing it should do. Completely worthless (good thing it’s free), don’t download it until they fix this bug.
This app is dumb stays on the screen that says connect your headphones wirelessly they already where so I forgot the device and did t again still just stuck on the screen and the headphones are already paired. I think it’s forcing meTo connect them with a plug which it didn’t come with.... so essentially the app is useless
Me he comprado unos AKGn60nc y cuando abro la app no está ese modelo quisiera de favor q para la otra actualización de la app agregan ese modelo saludos y espero respuesta
Something must be wrong with the current version of the app, normally these work fine. But the current app doesn’t connect and it’s an issue both for IOS and Android. Manual connect won’t work either no matter what trouble shooting process I try per the manual.
This was a huge surprise to me as I figured as these headphones are so good there would be support on IOS to let us monitor the battery and such. I do not care for Apple to start with and the fact that you need an app to start with for this is to say the least appalling. The N60’s work perfectly fine with all my Samsung phones and tell everything you would want to know even without unlocking your phone. Yet another reason why I prefer Android phones to Apple. Before I get grief I want to say, I left Apple after the appalling experience with the IPhone 5c, and did not turn back until it became apparent that most of my customers used IPhones so I changed the business phone to the Xs Max, the phone itself is an 8 out of ten that means they are getting back on track but, AKG needs to work with them so an app is not even needed.
I have the AKG N700.They are successfully paired with my phone via Bluetooth. And for basic listening they are OK. However this app will not find them even though they are already connected to my iOS device. I happen to have a USB C to Lightning cable. When I connect the two via that this app still doesn’t recognize that headphones. So many of the advanced features are not available because the app does not work
