Great ON THE GO
The way American Airlines has this application set up is great. If you’re a flight attendant, pilot or simply work at an airport whether with a ground handler like Menzies or directly with an airline the app is great and you qualify to open an account with AAFCU and so does immediate family members! You don’t have to constantly set up a travel advisory and have the option to look up free ATM’s anywhere you go. Also, the app gives you the opinion to look up shared branching locations, so your banking needs are all taken care of no matter where in the US. I live in Florida, AAFCU is based out of TX, long haul to go to the bank if it wasn’t for their easy to use locator. Again, great app... hasn’t failed me once. I just wish they would send me a text message after every single transaction.

Clunky
The worst banking app that I’ve used. Organization of topics is unintuitive and the app is clunky and slow. The option to pay a credit card bill using another bank is hidden and buried 5 menus deep (home -> view activity -> information-> more servicing options -> make a payment). It is not accessible where it should be, i.e., where the other payments are, in the “payments and transfers” menu. USAA is the gold standard for banking apps and has so much more functionality while still being easier to use. I recommend that AAFCU use USAA’s developer rather than reinventing the wheel, especially since the wheel they reinvented is shaped more like a square than a circle. 12/19 Update In the most recent app update they changed the location and look of the payment options but you still have to drill down 4 levels to make a card payment from a non-AAFCU account. Took me an extra 10 minutes to pay my bill with the changes. It’s like an Easter egg hunt to pay my bill and I’m totally perplexed that someone thought this was a good way to organize an app. 7/20 Update Still have to drill down for levels to make a card payment from a non-AAFCU account. Please make an easy to find and clearly labeled payment button like almost all other apps have.

It’s okay... I mostly love AAEFCU
...But bill payer is not as good as it use to be. Doesn’t seem to honor push date according to my input. Verizon for example somehow gets processed and posted in advance. Not sure what’s going on with DATES. Seems electronic deposits are posted up to a week early, which is confusing; and push dates set by me are all over the place. It is difficult to manage a very tight budget without exact dates. This problem persists and has gotten progressively worse as my budget is increasingly tight and TIME SENSITIVE. I no longer feel i can control and pay responsibly according to the billing cycle dates I have asked my billers to honor. AND..I am incurring $25 NSF fees. This is hurtful. Another related problem is it inability to set advance payment dates for paying AAEFCU cards in anticipation of automatic pension and SS deposits. Again, mostly love AAEFCU. Have been a member since 1976, have seen much advancement with technology, but now feel it is turning away from member advantage. Tried but couldn’t get through the recent “update in terms.” Feel I am forced to just trust and hope I don’t get burned.

Pretty good 🤷🏻‍♂️
It looks good and works good u til It doesn’t. I’ve talked to a lot of different people about why I was having a problem with logging. It kept locking me out and reset my password. The reason I don’t think it was someone trying to get in was because it only occurred when I had the app downloaded. I stopped using the app for a couple months and then recently started using it again. I no longer have to keep resetting my password, and getting locked out, thankfully. But now I keep getting alerts that someone has entered a valid password. I’ve reset my log in I’d and password multiple times since this started happing, but it hasn’t ever gotten better. It’s a little concerning, but it doesn’t effect me using the app. Other than thoes inconveniences, which seem to be unique to me, the all works very well and I love it!

Needs more flexibility
I wish the designers would add a link to make loan payment from “external account”. Instead, the options only allow a transfer from outside account to savings or checking only: no transfer to loan is allowed. Thus I must make 2 transactions over the course of 3-5 days. I have to transfer from external account to checking or savings. Then watch for 2-3 days for that transfer to be made. Then I have to log back into app to transfer my loan payment from checking/savings. It is an unnecessary 2-step to pay my loan that no other financial institution would require. I know this is possible since I have this option with other financial institutions, in which transfers occur in 24 hours. Now making car payment requires about 3 days for the eft transfers then 1 more day from checking/saving to loan, instead of directly crediting my auto loan in 1 day. Needs improvement!

THIS APP WORKS BETTER THEN MY PUBLIC BANKS APP
I really like this app for its flexibility and fast pace in publishing transactions and current balance. I bank with other large institutions and I realize the small details within this app that makes a big difference. I’m able to see all my accounts on this app, below every transaction is a small total current balance amount of how the transaction affected the balance, and my payments from checking to loan accounts post immediately instead of on a business day or 2 days like other bank institutions even though all accounts are within the same institutions . I’m looking forward to more advance technologies with this app like rapid bank to bank transactions.

Pretty good, but..
98% of the time the AAFCU iOS app is actually pretty good. I usually don’t have issues with it. There are times that it glitches out though, for instance the “chat now” button isn’t fixed on the screen, but moves as you scroll and covers transactions sometimes. Also I REALLY wish the AAFCU would implement a savings program where your debit purchases are automatically rolled over to the next dollar and that change is deposited into your savings account. And by that I mean that it happens with every transaction, not accumulates for several purchases at a time and then suddenly 5 dollars gets transferred to the savings account. But like I said, the app is pretty good. 10/10 I would recommend AAFCU to anyone in the airline industry. I’ve always had a great experience with them and their customer service.

Secured Peace of Mind
I’ve always been skeptical of apps, especially banking apps but with the current pandemic it was necessary to download since branch locations were closed. Before I would call daily or a few times weekly to check balances, transactions etc. since I’ve had fraud on my account years ago. Now, I easily login, make deposits, check everything I need on a regular basis all safely and securely. In today’s world of scams, ID theft and uncertainty of what comes next, I’m grateful to at least have the peace of mind that what finances I do have are safely being watched over and easily managed through the app.

Easy to use, mostly good features, one of my regular go to’s.
I use this regularly for scheduled transfers, balance inquiries, and check deposits. All of those features are very easy to use. There are two features I wish it had. The first is good integration with password managers. The login URL could be supplied to the password manager, which would allow LastPass or OnePass to directly insert the password without additional work on the user’s part. The second is available on other banking apps, and that is toAuthenticate a deposited check before the transaction is marked complete. Occasionally I have had checks rejected on the first photograph, which requires that I redeposit the check.

Confusing
Well, I tried to set up a transfer to a CU member, and the app wouldn’t allow me. I went to the agency for help. Nobody could do it. Nobody knew how to do it. That says it all. This app is not user friendly. You have to be an expert to use it. Please guys, come on! Seriously. Other banks you transfer money using the person’s phone number. Simple like that. And here we have to answer a bunch of idiot info for nothing. When are you guys going to make this app really smart? My God. Just check the apps of other banks. AACU is way behind them. Very very very difficult to get what you want. Again, everytime I try to make a transfer, the app will ask for information that is totally unnecessary. Really? Just acct # and name is not enough? What about phone number then? How many pple in this world will have the exactly same name, acct # and phone #? But you have to make it harder to transfer money. You have to. Thanks for that.

This site is crucial to successful time-juggling!
I frequently travel for work so being able to bank from my smart phone is mandatory in those situations. However, even when I’m staying in my hometown, I am busy during the week. When you consider work time, time spent commuting to and from work, time invested in exercise and/or entertainment, any shopping, any honey-do’s, and then sleep- there’s not a minute to waste. Life involves time juggling. This site is one of the crucial tricks to keeping all of those balls in the air.

Ok app
The app is OK in terms of being able to use it to check your balance. Major flaw that I noticed that it doesn’t update to show deposits it will show withdrawals but they don’t coincide with the deposits so it’s very hard to keep track of what’s coming in and going out. I spoke to customer service and they advised that it can take up to three business days for their system to update which is crazy, also Bill is not that great. Had a few bills set up and they actually on my account before a deposit that I had already predetermined to come in and was success and nsf fee because they decided to send the bill out earlier than the deposit not happy with the bill pay

Horrible customer service
Although this app is decent in functionality, I’ve had way too many problems for customer service to not be even be available mid day. Everytime I want to chat on customer service it’s either down or a ridiculous wait time and when I call I always get an incompetent representative that just reads from a script and does actually help me with any of my issues. It took me a month and talking to TEN different people for me to finally get a replacement card and then when my replacement card arrives after all the hassle it declined even though I have money in it. And I’d love to fix the reason for my card declining but how can I when CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALWAYS DOWN. Just love feeling hopeless and having my money caged👍🏾.

American Airlines Federal credit Union
I just joined American Airlines Credit Union a few months ago. I had bank fraud at my former bank that I have been with for 36 years, and they were extremely nasty to me. What a breath of fresh air American Airlines Credit Union has been for me. Never once being upset that I’ve asked a million questions. Never once upset that I would go into the branch to get help. Their website is extremely simple to maneuver. I am very happy with them and wish I had switched over years ago.

Deposit notification
I like to get the deposit notifications, but unlike my other bank when I get just one email message for the deposit this credit union will send me an email notification everyday sometimes twice a day until my next deposit and the cycle starts all over again. I wish they would fix it so I just get the initial email for the deposit and that’s it. It’s crazy to keep email the same notification and when I call they say that how our system works, it’s extremely annoying and a waste of email space.

Tools integration
There are several tools (Cashflow, Activity under Budget and Finance, Activity under Quickview on the home page, Budget, Goals, etc. Integration if the tools is disjointed. I.e. Changing descriptions of Draft expenses of Activity under Budget and Finance requires going. Back to the Quickview Activity where the check actually can be viewed. The monthly Cashflow should be more automated. Requires manual input of amounts rather than using the payment schedule of Autopay and ACH. Under pay bills ACH and Autopay should show up under previous activity.

Absolutely amazing
I’ve been lucky enough to be a member of AAFCU since I was a teenager. It wasn’t until recently I’ve been exposed to my girlfriends and some friends banks in general and their mobile services. I’ve been able to see how far apart, or should I say below, they are in the functionality and scope of the services. Between AAFCU itself and the mobile service, I will never ever switch banks- and I’m very excited to bring my fiancé in, the second that I can.

Great app if you live in Dallas
For the most part this app works fine. It gets you to your accounts quickly and allows you to do most anything you can do while at a bank. But if your looking for an ATM location it defaults to Dallas. And trying to get it to locate where you are is not very convenient. The map itself is terrible. And if you’re trying to make a deposit you’re in trouble. I also wish the print was easier to see. Everything is crammed onto one screen. No one does that anymore. Separate the info and make it easier to read.

My Work Colleague recommended me to open an Account and I would say it was the best decision I ever made!!!!! I get my salary a day before other people, and I can get approved for cash quick and easy when I have emergency faster than other banks( I don’t wanna say names😏) that I have been using for years! The only thing I ask of you, is to connect Zelle with the bank so that I can pay my bills easily!!! Thanks ☺️ I love everything about AAFCU ❤️

Love the app, bug with mobile deposit
I get my paychecks in paper and being there’s only one bank location within the nearest hour’s drive, going in person to deposit my checks is difficult if not impossible most days because of work schedules. The mobile deposit has worked twice in the past 6 months I’ve used this app, trying it every week with my checks to see if it will even take a picture. The rest of the app works great and is user friendly. Major downfall with mobile deposits. If you offer it, be sure it works. If it doesn’t, don’t offer it.

Easy to use
This app is super easy to use and navigate through. You can do anything in it: transfers, deposits, payments, check your credit score, open a new account, etc. Without having to visit a branch. For me, since I live in overseas and the branch here closed, it has been a life saver! I love this app. The only thing I would add is a chat feature, that messaging capability is good but you take too much time resolving a simple issue.

Easy to Find and Use Features
I have been using this App for over 20 years, and I find it to be extremely user friendly and intuitive. It’s features are titled clearly, allowing the user to find the information or transactions needed quickly, without needing to guess what is behind vaguely named headers that are prevalent on so many other banks mobile banking Apps. Makes my life easier!

App needs fixed
May 29, 2024 - Please fix your app. Since around 3 weeks ago, every time I scroll down or up once I’m logged into my accounts, it will start re-arranging the accounts. The app keeps thinking I’m attempting to re-order/move my accounts into a different sequence when in reality I’m just scrolling down or up to view my accounts and balances. This is very annoying and I keep having to rearrange my accounts to my desired order. Please fix this!

Aa credit union app review
The credit union itself is unbeatable and has always been better than dealing with any run of the mill bank. The app itself is accessible and easy to apply for a loan or move money from here to there. I do wish they would take a note from Ch**e with a notification for every transaction made and a simple Face ID. Still, these are small quality of life things and I would still choose to do business with this credit union than any bank

AA CU App
Compared to other banking apps, this one is a little less user friendly. It is a very basic app that does the job. I think being able to find my whole bank account number is more difficult . Also it is hard to determine which account you are working in other accounts due to the AACU App showing the last few digits of your account number, which are all the same compared to the first few digits of an AACU account number. Would make sense to show the first few digits xxxx****** vs *****xxxx then the digits.

I would like to say that I appreciate everything this bank has done for me since I have open this account five years ago.I am able to do so much buy a house by cars go on vacation and they have the best rates when it comes to borrowing money.. Very User Friendly
Everything is super user-friendly and easy to find. The AACU Team has designed a near-perfect interface with a great self-service menu that is categorized efficiently, and everything is backed by a highly responsive security alert system that constantly notifies you of anything and everything (down to incorrect attempts at logging in). It is perhaps the best banking app I have ever used.

Bill pay is incredibly complicated
While traveling abroad these last few weeks, needed to set up beginning of the month bill pays. 30 minutes later I think I have payed them. The bill center is nothing like the desktop version. Yes I’m old fashioned but I got used to seeing all billing in alpha order to pay. I felt like I had search several times so again I think I got them all paid. I know you’ll have a quick and easy response to fixing this but I don’t care. You should be able to choose full desktop version and be done with it.

AACU is doing good! It’s just your average mobile banking/savings app. My only issue is that I have to manually put in my password because it doesn’t immediately do the facial recognition thing but that is such a dumb thing to even complain about, now that I am writing this. Lol. The benefits of opening a savings with AA to me are well worth it and easy to navigate. The information is always laid out clearly so there isn’t much room for confusion.

Yes I am pleased with the new ap! It is much easier for me to closely watch my finances and easily check in using my finger print. My only concern is an error message when I try to print my statements. I have no problem printing other documents from other sos so it seems, not to be a problem with my phone or iPad but a problem with my AACU account only! Thank you for your time!! Yes I like it!! I’m now able to print my statements after Getting help from an AACU tech!!

Opening a savings certificate for a current member
Unless something is obvious for an occasional site visitor, some transactions are difficult to find and sometimes irrational. For example- when I go to open a 12 month savings certificate, I am asked to fill out a ‘credit report’. This is not a loan… it is a money transfer from within an active AA account. That makes no sense. Thank you

I can’t seem to find anything bad to say about American Airlines Credit Union. The on line access is not only user friendly, it is constantly updated with improvements. I belong to two other credit unions and this by far is simple and straight forward. Being a senior citizen I find that many software applications don’t take into account who will be using them. American is thoughtful and inclusive. Thank you for all that you do!

Accessibility & check deposit
The site is not as easy to maneuver. Some things are hard to find AND, the deposit check feature is ridiculous. Hard to take pics. Have to try too many times. The feature needs work. Some check deposit apps all you have to do is point to the check and it takes pic. AA’s is too problematic. Also when you think ur check is deposited days later you find out it is not!!!

Surprisingly functional, solid bank app!
FYI for the Devs, the Push Notifications you recently added do not work. Haven’t gotten a single one despite having all permissions set correctly. SMS notifications worked fine previously. May have to switch back. For a relatively small financial institution, I never would have expected how well and how often this app is updated with useful features like mobile deposit. Also keeps up with iOS versions to take advantage of correct phone resolutions and more. Not sure it’s up to the app devs but I do wish you could get real time notifications when transactions are made like almost all other banking apps. That’s really the one thing missing for me. Right now it only sends a daily summary the next morning but real time is much more useful, especially for security.

Poor card service
Poor service! I called to call center and asked them do not block my card on my international travel. Call center added some countries which I planed to visit but anyway when I tried to use it the card was locked and I got to the stupid situation without money!!! Call canter does not answer after regular working hours. Guys you need to improve it.

Very user friendly
I have been using apps since they became a thing. This AA credit union app was okay when first introduced, but has since evolved into probably the most user-friendly banking app I use. Unless what I need to do requires personal interaction by phone, I can literally do all my banking/loan transactions/pay my bills, etc., right here, without spending a lot of time hunting for the procedure because it’s all laid out neatly in the menu.

Card lock
Service is good , card very inconvenient . The card will not unlock at times more often than one would expect. Leaving me unable to pay for a dinner out , unable to check in to my room when on vacation. Pay for groceries. Card always stating error asking the customer to try again later while system catches up ? I don't know it happens regularly. I have spoke to a representative a couple of times no relief from issue. Now I keep a little cash on me to embarrassing to not being able to use the card.

Well secured and offers clear info
I have used this application for 3 years for FREE. resisting to review it, waiting to find that thing to complain about 😁 The application does what it is supposed to do. The design is not the best but all the information you need are accessible; and it offers enough security not to worry about even when my phone is in someone else’s hands. I don’t know why I would not give a five star 👍🏽

Mobile Deposits
At times when I am depositing a check the screen quits before the transaction is completed. Accounts order: It would be helpful if the accounts could stay or be adjusted to a consistent order. When I log on, Flagship is sometimes at the top, sometimes at the bottom or in the middle. It would be nice to have the accounts I access most often at the top. Thank you.

Happy Camper
All of the products I have with American Airlines Federal credit union. I have no complaints and now I just did a balance transfer for a very low rate, and after that very low rate is terminated or completed that I will still have a lower rate than what I had with another creditor I am pleased I’m happy. I am a member and I love to tell people about how well American Airlines credit union take care of me.

I’ve had a decent amount of time now with the app. I have had no major issues. Mobile deposits clear for me within hours …. Definitely more of a fan of credit union banks than traditional banks. Only downside is that there are only 2 physical branch locations near me🤷🏽‍♀️… however since it is a credit union bank I have the open availability to go to any credit union branch and deposit and/or withdraw money at any time 😊

Very easy to use.
I like the distinctive colors on the site and the ease of using the site in general. Live Chat usually works well and it is very easy to transfer money. If I had a complaint it would be that while transferring money from savings to checking or vice versa, transferring money to pay any of the AA Visa cards is very slow. It usually takes about 4 or 5 days.

A no go with the iPhone 6s
Hope you have a backup plan if you switch to the iPhone 6s! This app will not launch once you upgrade to the new iPhone. So, keep your old iPhone if you want to do mobile banking with this credit union or just find another credit union with a development team that can respond to iOS updates in a timely manner!

Simply the best! Still!!
Been using this app for years, and it is old reliable. Nothing super fancy, but they do manage to keep it up to date. I love using the finger print entry on my iPhone, and the key is it always works. The entire app is fully functional and I rarely encounter errors or issues. That’s all i expect from my banking app, for it to work when I need it to, and for that reason alone this is easily 5 stars..

Love this app!
I love this baking app, very easy to use and clean view of all accounts. I use this daily and even to make most of my payments from. But I do suggest adding in a widgets feature for IPhone. This will really be the cherry on top. Extremely useful feature to see your account balances at a glance on your Home Screen! I really hope this is added soon!

Wish it was easier to see my deposits
I wish I could see where my deposits had come in and where money had been subtracted more easily. Perhaps there should be a tab that I could click on to see just my deposits and another one to see just my expenditures. I find it a little confusing, when I am looking at all of my different accounts to see the movement in and out to double check and verify my total income and total output

Review of the app
Always had issues with the electronic payments or paying the bill pay. It takes forever to get a bill to go out and when it does go out, you guys don’t take money out of the account right away so I couple of times overdrawn the account because I thought I had the money in there, but besides that it’s OK.I just wish you guys would improve the bill pay. I need some major work. Also have a Chase account that your system. It’s pretty awesome but I like the credit Union better thank you.

Not super user friendly
I’m a customer of Bank of America as well and your app needs to be a lot more user-friendly. Also, in this day and age why do you not have Zelle as an option? And I don’t me download the Zelle app and do it from there, but actually have Zelle in your bank app. I would probably use this account whole lot more. If it was a little bit more user-friendly, you have Zelle options in a couple more other options and make it easier.

Timing out
The main problem I have the app is that it times out so quickly. It does give one warning that it is about time out but it should give more and should allow you to continue to stay on for as long as you want to win keep notifying it to stay on. Especially when I am doing recordkeeping it is most annoying to have to keep logging back in to continue my reviews. I have complained about this and have been told that there is nothing that can be done. I don't believe that. GJAndree
