I love the idea of the app and receiving/managing alerts without having to hassle with phone calls... BUT this app is terribly built, with too many bugs and glitches to be of any use. It doesn’t navigate between tabs easily, often freezing or dropping altogether and forcing me to start over from my phone’s home screen. I receive several notifications every day that have nothing to do with my account activity. It’s an notification saying ‘card information updated’ and it occurs every time I close the app AND usually 3 times throughout the day randomly. Opening the app always reveals the same card information and has become increasingly more frustrating over time. There are options for customized alerts for certain amounts or transaction types. Again... a great idea, but for me, toggling those options back and forth hasn’t changed anything. I still receive the same alerts (most of which are false alerts) regardless of my preference settings. This app has potential to be a great tool, but it’s a long way from being functional, let alone convenient. Needs a LOT of work.
This alert app used to work fine. Now it freezes or never opens up. I have had to remove and reopen it open countless times. This is ridiculous! I guess I will have to stop at the bank and see if they have any answers.
This used to work fairly well. Now it does very little. It will only show one card at a time, and there’s no controlling which one it shows. If you deactivate a card you might not be able to pull it back up when you need to use it again. It no longer shows transactions, and it can’t be used to authorize the ones the system flags. That now has to be done on the phone through an IVR system. This app is quickly becoming pointless.
I use to have it set where I could get text messages everything A transaction was made but now it’s stopped and I can’t find it on the app and I don’t want to use this. Has anyone found a way to get notifications to their number?
I got to my app to activate my card and guess what? It says my card isn’t linked. So I go to the register part of the app and it’s showing a tab where I can click to unregister my card. Yet my card isn’t showing linked. I try n make an online purchase… guess what? It was declined. So basically my card still linked to the app and I don’t have access to activate it. Oh it’s the weekend so I won’t get to deal with customer service till Monday. This is absolutely insane.
This app does NOT work and HAS NOT worked for almost a year. The last app update was more than 2 years ago. Apple just released iOS 18 and now AmFirst Alerts is completely unusable. Nothing loads, multiple bugs/issues, poor interface and layout. Please fix it ASAP! Burn it to the ground and start fresh. This app is extremely helpful when it is running properly. It’s annoying and frustrating when the app continues to send push and text notifications but the app user is unable to approve or deny any transactions. This is a huge problem if you receive transactions that are fraudulent because it is unable to alert the company and put a hold on your card/account. PLEASE HELP! 🥴🙏🏼📵
I downloaded the app so that I could monitor my purchases. After a few days my card finally showed up on the app but I have yet to receive an alert or anything. I have zero notifications all the time. I have it set to send me text, email, and app notifications and I still do not get anything after I’ve made a transaction. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but it does not work for me at all.
I hate this app. They need to fix this app and make more useful. The times you actually need your card to work, they’re updating the system. Every night around the same time they claim they’re updating the system which prohibits you from turning your debit card on or off. This is a terrible idea and they have yet to make changes.
I like having an app instead of relying on a phone call for fraudulent activity. However, the app inexplicably sends notifications 3-4 times a day saying “Card information updated.” I have no idea what card information is updated, why it was updated or why it’s updated 3-4 times a day. It just becomes notification noise/spam. There’s a high likelihood I would miss an actual alert because when you get dozens of non-actionable, meaningless alerts a month, you stop reading the alerts. Please consider revisiting your alerting policy. Honestly for this type of alert, you should NEVER send an alert that doesn’t indicate an issue and/or require user action.
Terrible app!!! You can cut your card off/on but what they do not tell you is the last day of the month you won’t have access to your own funds due to “maintenance” so just don’t plan to go anywhere or do anything with your money on the last day of the month because the app will not let you turn your card off or on.
The app when it works is great. I love that I can deactivate and activate my card from the app when needed but it rarely ever works. Currently my card is deactivated and I can’t get the app to work to go reactivate it. It’s just a blank white screen. Which means now I have to call customer service and wait 10-15 minutes to hopefully get them to reactive my card. The app needs a little work.
I downloaded this app to keep up with my transactions and what not but it failed me. All I was able to see was one deposit and no debit card transactions in which I used my card a few times the day after I downloaded the app. It’s a very nice concept don’t get me wrong but some major adjustments need to be made.
I don’t understand the alerts app at all. If you could consolidate it all into one app it would be great. Customers shouldn’t have to switch between the banking app and the alerts app. The alerts app is built terribly, it’s slow, and it has a lot of bugs.
AmFirst Alerts allows you to verify transactions flagged as suspicious by your credit union. If a suspicious transaction is detected, you will get a notification containing the transaction details. You can "Accept" or "Reject" the activity based on whether you executed the transaction or not. The credit union will be notified of your response and take the appropriate actions.
