You will be approved for projects and they claim you can work on them but you will never receive an email sending Pins or links to be able to directly access the projects. When asked they will say that the target demographic has been reached already- then why did I get approved for the project if it’s full? I would assume it would reject my application not accept and approve me stating I can now work the project I just need to access the email that I was never sent. You will also apply for multiple projects and won’t get accepted or rejected for any of them, they will remain in a pending status for months. I have not been able to see any other offers as I have applied to all the ones available for me so there are no more for me to apply to. I figured this would be a good way to make some money on the side however it only would be good if you could actually work anything. Customer service was fast at responding to me and polite when I mentioned the issue at hand which was really nice but the issues I have still stand.
Like everyone else on the reviews, the program itself is very chaotic and confusing. I get emailed repeatedly over the same projects, telling me to apply. And then it never materializes into anything. Then I get more emails telling me there’s a new project and to apply…but it’s the same old projects I’m already applied to and in a pending status with. I also am constantly asked to choose some sort of Chinese interface or data collection situation, what is that?? I finally got accepted into a project and barely knew I did, the conditions/pay didn’t make sense to me. Because it’s saying $X for *the* submission, but it’s supposed to be multiple submissions. I’ve never dealt with something so confusing in my life and I’m a master at computers, software, apps, etc
I am supposed to read prompts and record it. But the prompts never show up. There is no way I can guess what I should record. And I don’t know who can I ask help from. Waste my time for all the applications and setting up all the accounts and apps.
I signed up for this over a year ago, possibly longer. Every time I tried to sign up for a job I would get accepted and that’s as far as it would go. I never received any of the follow up to proceed. After a few months of this I stopped applying. Fast forward to now. I decided to give it another go to see if they have improved. I download the app again and login only to have it crash on me every time I try to apply for a job. It worked for one or two jobs and then just crashes now. While I was filling out the paperwork again it kept resetting on me, voiding all of my answers and making me have to start over. It is all very frustrating and disappointing as I was looking forward to participating.
Customer service is robotic and cold. I worked on their projects as an independent contractor for over 3 years. One day I randomly decided I’d change my mailing address since I had moved (even though we get no mail) and instead of explaining anything to me… the rep terminated my account effective immediately. During a global pandemic they used an address change to terminate a 3+ year contractor with high performance in all projects I was on. Worst part is they still email me all the work available on these projects as if my account is still active. And the support team can’t unsubscribe me or diagnose what happened to reactivate my account. I’ve worked for a lot of “freelance” or task based companies like this… they are by far the most corporate and cold. You’re totally on your own and they won’t help you. It’s been 6 months or more and I’m only finally getting any sense of a decent reply recently but still no resolution.
The app is trash. The forms asking for demographic data ask the same questions repeatedly within the same form then never submit. Once a task is applied for, through the website because the app is unusable, nothing ever proceeds and the task is never available to be completed. Email correspondence for available tasks floods your inbox but without a link to the task leaving you with the fun task of searching pages and pages of “tasks” to locate what you’re looking for. I don’t know who setup the app and website but based on the level of clunk I’d hope they rebook the entire flow. -5/5
Confusing website and app non responsive. Frustrating experience
The app is non responsive when you click on projects you’ve applied for. If you receive an email saying “you have been accepted… do this next step” the website and app do not show you that you’ve been accepted. Unresponsive site and app make for a frustrating and slightly chaotic experience. There are so many different ‘sites’ and its unclear where you should be going for the approved work and for tasks. When I did begin a task, the videos the task were referencing we marked private, and unable to view, so to get the full understanding was impossible - which of course makes passing the test impossible. I was really hopeful, but have found more frustration trying to maneuver my way around the app and the website.
This app is worthless. The entire platform is glitchy but that won’t be a problem bc you’ll test for projects then wait weeks upon weeks for an email that will never come. Or my favorite is how their will be available jobs but when you click “work this” it’ll say in bold letters on the next page “sorry there are no tasks here to work!” However the available jobs will stay on the page for days. It’s a joke, seriously.
I downloaded this app for a gig job in May. They take forever to respond and now it is July, I haven’t been paid for my submissions. After sending multiple emails, I was told 6 of my prompts were not accepted. I redid them, resubmitted, and they are still not being accepted. I am not sure what the issue is and no one is able to tell me specifics. At the end of the day, I didn’t get paid and they have my recordings.
When I created my profile they put I was in the United States Minor Outlying Islands. When I tried to contact support it took over a week to get a response even though they claim they will get back within 48 hours. Then they told me there were no projects available because of my location which I was trying to change.
My real rating is ZERO stars. You get notified to apply to dozens of projects. Then you take a quiz or fill out a questionnaire to see if you’re in the demographic they’re looking for. Then one of two scenarios happen: 1.) You get accepted and are given a PIN to work the job. You are immediately told all slots for the project are filled; or, 2.) You are told that they MIGHT consider inviting you to work on the project within 60 days. That invitation never comes. And last but not least, you get an email telling you your contract has been terminated. COLOSSAL waste of time. Sc^^w this company.
This app is actually posting ads on craigslist and other gig sites asking people to sign in and record their voice for different prompts. They tell users that they can be paid for the voice recordings but when you are done they never pay and then they end up with 120 recordings of your voice. BEWARE do not download this app!
This is an update on if you should do this task. For the reviews I don’t have much hope I’ll do one task and see if they pay like they said and go from there. Will see if the company honors its word.
It would be great if there’s more language options, I saw two types of Chin are included, when there’s a lot more. I’m Mizo Chin and would love it if it’s included.
Definitely do not download this app if you’re seeking to do any voice recordings for a specific company. If this was a legitimate job, you would have a better app trying to make a voice recording for companies. Awful
I’m almost inside an insulated cabin, there’s no background noise but the app keeps showing an error message saying that the recording needs to start and end with 0.5 to 2 seconds of silence. This is ridiculous.
When trying to sign in, it says “Userid not found.” Yet, when I try to create a new password, I get sent an email saying “Email Already Registered.” For a “machine intelligence company,” much of the UI has been quite bad and frustrating to use.
Very few “projects” listed, and even when you are “approved” for one it disappears or you are waiting for a magical PIN that is never sent. Prettt sure this is just a scam farming personal information to sell to companies or something. Junk.
It won’t upload my videos, and even if it did, I wouldn’t know what to say. It says read the given paragraph. WHAT given paragraph?? There was none. This is just awful. If I could rate it zero stars, I would.
This app never works like never. I receive projections all the time that I can never apply for because the loading screens just constantly spins. What is the point?
Locked me out when it came time to pay me and refused to send me any type of way to verify my account so I can log in me collect my earnings. What a cheap bunch of losers.
Phone was working fine. Downloaded this and my iPhone 13 stopped getting reception. It also resets itself randomly. I got my iPhone in January for context.
