Choosing a community bank was critically important to me as I learned about how tradition banks use my deposit dollars to invest in fossil fuels, private prisons, and other things that don’t align with my values. I like that my deposits with Beneficial State support local businesses and nonprofit organizations. Even though this app doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, I’m able to pay bills, deposit checks, and take care of my day to day banking. Highly recommend everyone move their money to a values aligned bank that supports your local community.
What all the fuss is about from the other repairs. Set up process on my phone was pretty easy very secure. You don’t even have to go through that if you login on your computer through online banking to set it all up in the first place. If you do that you won’t have to go through and do it on your phone app. Regardless it was no big deal. The app itself is great. There’s everything I wanted to do. Just deposit a check on my phone into my account. Simple.
I’m a new account holder and I cannot access my account from the app due to it will highlight my password and shake it and not let me log in and then I’m disabled from getting in my account. I’m still on IOS 12 and I have to uninstall and reinstall is what they said to do, but this is ridiculous to always have to do that every time you want to see your bank account. This is a glitchy app, please fix. I am unable to make a deposit of money into my account to feed myself and my family right now. How can this be happening?
Pleased to bank here, solid bank, solid value. I've not had any issues with the website nor the app until today when it won't let me log on to deposit a check on my phone. Perhaps needs a security update? I'm on a newer iOS, and it's never glitched before. Closed it, reopened, and triple checked my passcode. Any ideas?
This bank has fantastic values and great customer service. But this app is awful and barely functional! And now the website is similarly disastrous. The previous mobile app and website weren’t great, but at least they worked properly. Now, I can barely log in, and the interface is so unintuitive and confusing. Beneficial State Bank, please revert back to the old app and web interface, or actually improve this one. You are doing your customers a disservice.
For many months I had no issues with this app. However since upgrading to iOS 13, there appears to be an issue with FaceID/TouchID. It basically tries to login to the app unsuccessfully several times in a row and then disables your account. This has happened twice now in the last week and I did nothing differently than when I was using the app prior to updating to iOS 13. I suppose I’ll just use a browser to login instead. Pretty frustrating, hopefully it gets fixed... someday
So the mobile check deposit function is totally not functional. In order to proceed from step 1 to step 2, you have to put both the check amount and the account you want it to go to. But the drop down menu for the desired account is blank, so it’s totally useless. How frustrating. This is a basic step that should have been caught in beta and/or fixed immediately.
All the functions that an individual user would need and all the while supporting a bank that puts people and planet first. So happy to have left my fossil fuel backing bank and moved over to Beneficial State Bank.
Every time I try to log in to the app, it tries to use FaceID, fails, and locks me out of my account. It locks me out even though I used Face ID onlyonce, not three separate attempts. This has happened several times. I have called Beneficial to unlock my account, tried again, and it doesn’t work. The app is unusable.
The only reason I downloaded the app was to deposit checks. There is an error in the check deposit section of the app that will not allow me to select an account to allow me to deposit the check. I’m a new Beneficial customer, and hopeful this is where the annoyances end.
This application is useless and pointless. You can not pay your loans on here. You have to call and be put on hold and have to re enter your information every time. I am looking to refinance my car with another bank as quickly as possible
Basic check deposit doesn’t work and they aren’t interested to know why or try to fix. Sent me on run around trying to get my money deposited. Avoid avoid avoid
Like others I cannot log in. I was able to for years until an update or something. Now I am caught in a ‘are you enrolled’ loop. Nobody at the branch could help me even the tech person. It is 2009 - have an app that works.
I use keychain to manage passwords. Every time I click the keychain icon and select the login/password to prefill, it interrupts the procedure to ask me “Are you enrolled?” requiring me to type my very long password.
I’ve had beneficial for years and they have great customer service. Unfortunately this is the worst banking app I use. Crashes frequently & is outdated.
