My score should not be so high. Although I acknowledge that it’s very convenient and quite user friendly, I had a problem with the password today that had no reason to be, unless you force us to change our password periodically. I understand the need for security to be very tight but nowadays we are drowning in passwords. However, I do appreciate the app particularly for deposits. Best.
The new update looks nicer, but functionality I use all the time is worse. For example, you only see 30 days of transactions now vs 90 before. The typeface and format is less compact so you have to scroll and then click/arrow more to see additional transactions in the account detail. You still need to bring back the ability (from more than a year ago) to make notes on ALL transactions, especially deposits and transfers but also debits. Compared to Chase, which is what you are being compared to and which sends me offers to transfer my deposits all the time, this app needs a lot of work.
Zelle has been the biggest hurdle in transferring money. Most of the time it blocks the account and the number provided to resolve or unblock the account is not helpful as it is an internal BFSFCU number. The BFSFCU agent is unable to unblock the account as they have to contact Zelle which is a 3rd party vendor. So one has to wait till BFSCU contacts Zelle to resolve the issue which in some instances takes days if not weeks. It is frustrating!
I was excited about this app especially with the facial recognition feature but after using it for a while it does not work well. The feature doesn’t work each time, maybe 1 out of 5 tries and it may or may not work. Then I try signing in the old fashion way which defeats the purpose of facial recognition. It is very frustrating. Please fix!
New app is basically an embedded web browser for a poorly integrated mobile site view. Lack of UI testing is evident throughout. Hint: try it on an iphone SE for overlapping text. How can you not make 4 buttons fit where other finance apps fit 6?? Billpayer is an overlay from the same external service, not fully integrated (and still requires extra authentication, even in the app - which is a poor user experience, and a step back compared to the old one) Visa credit card view is still the same old non-mobile page, impossible to view on a phone screen. Also - touch id still does not work, after one use results in an arbitrary error. Good thing the new app stays logged in for an extended time (of course a poor security practice) You guys should take a look at Alliant CU app - that's what a well designed mobile banking looks like. BFSFCU app (and UI in general) is a disgrace, and shows lack of care for your member's money.
Excellent customer service; quick response. However, it is grossly inconvenient to lack weekend access to unlock online and app accounts, reset passwords and transfer between accounts. What an horrific experience especially when I have draft protection and I’m told that I have zero money in my account!
Amazing and User Friendly - wish to see cards one on the same App for easier and seamless transactions processing. Thanks again for the great team on the evolution of the App from where it started few years ago to where it is now with all added features and user accessibility easiness.
That the CU refreshed their app with a bit more functionality is highly appreciated. However, this needed more beta testing before the IU was ready for the big time. Buggy and very, very slow! Please get right on to ironing out the kinks! It’s getting there... (at least most functionality is now accessible on the app).
The mobile deposit function is not very good; the application has a hard time reading the images. Look at the TD Bank mobile application. It is much better for check deposits. Also there are errors and the application logs out suddenly.
I had written on a survey some of my disappointments with customer service. However, I tried using it again lately and I feel my concerns have been heard!!! I was able to talk to a live person who was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful and all reasons for the call were addressed and resolved!!! I am now back to being a satisfied customer. I am glad for this development. I have always been a loyal customer of the credit union and I would like to stay that way. Improve visibility of response when pushing a button
When pushing a button, there is no sign that the command has been registered and you have to wait a while without any change on the screen to see if it worked
The deposit button is hard to read on my iPhone after searching for some time. I recommend a button at the top of the screen in addition to the tiny one at the bottom.
I used to think that AMEX and Centurion Bank had the best APP among the APPs of financial institutions I use. I also use JP Morgan Chase APP. Now I am certain that the BFSFCU APP is much better than all those that I mentioned and the ones I didn’t. It is very easy to use and it is very intuitive. As I say in the title, you nail it ! ! !
They need to hire proper developers to redo this app completely. It is slow, ugly and limited. The interface is not intuitive, the widget does not work. I have seriously considered changing banks based on the poor quality of this app. Aug 5 update: The developers responded to say they would take my feedback into consideration. Today I tried to login to the app and got a message saying “We’re sorry, but an unexpected error occurred. Please try again later.” Just not acceptable. I stand by my original rating.
I love how easy-to-use this app is. Not all banking apps are made the same. The good ones allow you to spend the least amount of time navigating through their features. This way you can get through your day.
This new update is terrible. The password never works even when it’s right. I’ve locked myself out for the fourth time. I have the right password it rejects it and after 3 attempts it locks me out. Last time they unlocked it and it took the same password I had been using all along! It only seems to work when I’m on the WBG domain (at work - what’s the point?). Even with fast internet on my home WiFi it fails every time. Beyond frustrating! I never had a problem before the big update.
Updated but still laggy. I have the latest iPhone and and it’s slow to authenticate. Slow between pages and navigation is sluggish. Randomly forgets login credentials by less so now than the previous version. Get it together.
Security questions screen won’t let me move forward even after answering all of them...keeps telling me to “Scroll down” but there’s no where to scroll. Wasn’t able to get anywhere past that.
This App has been one of my favorites, very easy to use and simple. The new update made the app very slow and not efficient. Why change something good for something bad ?
Previously things were slow and sluggish, especially logging on. Now with this redesign I can set up finger print login and can see my account much faster and move money much easier than before. Excellent.
I like all the enhancements made to see the credit card transactions. Please also show the total of posted transactions and total of pending ones. Right now I have at manually add to see how much hasn’t been posted yet. Thanks
Even after I click logout I remain logged in. That’s the not secure part. I frequently need to get 8 digit verification numbers via text to perform simple actions like paying bills. It’s bad enough they make me need to remember and type in such long numbers. That’s made even worse by their not being able to do what so many other app developers have done, allow transferring those codes with a single tap. That’s the annoying part.
It’s a bit of learning where everything is again, but it works and you have more control on this app than previous version. There is a bit of fluff (like I don’t care that about changing the color scheme), but it’s a definite improvement.
The App locks me out even when it’s right and at the first attempt. Just like many others have written here. And I already called the number, many times indeed and reported the problem—to which the deny—nothing has been done. I’ll give one star because it is not possible to give -1 star. I do urge you to take care of the problem immediately, also considering that a lock up on iPhone means lock up on laptop too. Thank you.
I love the internal transfer option. Quick and easy. I am a frequent user of the BFSFCU app for all my transfer and payments needs. Convenient, fast and easy! It has everything I need.
I have been banking with BFSFCU for many years and only have the best things to say. They stay on top of the latest technological updates, ensure security of their members, and overall provide topnotch services.
It has become painfully difficult to persuade the app to collect an image of the check when making a deposit. This now takes a long time and many repeated attempts.
The app used to work so much better in terms of making deposits. For some reason the last few weeks it has been a struggle to capture the image. This is the only way I can make deposits to my account so it’s very frustrating. I hope they fix that asap.
Tried to use the app to deposit a check. After taking a picture of the check, app locks me out of my account with no error message. Cannot make it work no matter how I tried. The user interface is a joke also. But that’s a minor flaw comparing to the glaring fact that the app can’t do the basics like depositing checks. Called their support, who offered no support except bunch of wrong information.
App works fine, except that the check viewing feature does not work 99% of the time. I wish you would fix this. I use an iPhone with the latest system upgrades. Thank you!
I thought they had revamped their on-line and mobile platform but it continues to be the worst I have ever used! I just tried to deposit a check and after taking the picture of the front it just crashed then couldn’t log in and gave up after three attempts. Obviously visiting one of their branches is not an option.
This app has generally always worked as intended and provided me with excellent results and appropriate responsiveness. I would recommend a juice to anyone considering it.
Terrible. Ever since this new app was released, I constantly get locked out of my account because it doesn’t seem like they are reading my password properly. This is hugely annoying as I constantly have to call the bank just to be able to log into my account. And on top of it it makes me constantly recreate new passwords. This is not how I expect online banking to be in 2020.
... that in the year 2020 my credit union is still struggling with creating/maintaining a usable mobile banking app. Version 2.3 has a barely functioning (dysfunctional would better describe it) mobile check depositing feature where the camera takes a picture that turns the image by 90 degrees - but not in a good way. :-( Please fix asap!
Helpful app but fast balances feature doesn’t work
The app makes banking really easy! Only complaint is that the fast balances feature is very glitchy and does not work with hard taps to the icon, or as a widget.
The website and app are just bad, even when upgraded, and why did you separate credit cards in another app? Makes no sense and that app doesn’t work either
The junkiest and worse banking app on the market today. It is incredible that the WorldBank cannot find a decent team to develop a useful app. The biometric face recognition decides on its own when to work and when to stop. It has to be setup every time after failure and Instructions on how to set it up again fo not work. Too many issues with the app to fit in a short review.
Depositing checks has become impossible after the update. The app crashes every single time I try to take a picture of a check. I am back to going to branches again which is very annoying. The old app did not have this issue.
All the different options to transfer funds are unclear. It’s almost impossible to understand which is the right one. Also, the app does not provide actual information on credit card balance.
