Should add notifications. Don't let them show up until you open the app but have a little mailbox icon or something with random numbers of notifications you can check. They will be totally pointless of course. Just have them say, "you have a notification!" Or something.
Sometimes I feel like I just need to scroll but I don’t actually want to be on social media! This is exactly what I need for that! No social media nonsense just the satisfaction of scrolling. Hey, gotta take it one step at a time. And this is the first step for me. Great idea! My only suggestion is that it’s kind of difficult to actually get the posts to swipe away. Maybe there is some way to make them swipe away more smoothly?
Got diagnosed with OCD recently and excessive scrolling on sites is a symptom of mine. Like completely unintentional 13-hour stretches with no break till my eyes hurt kind of thing. I’m learning to embrace the discomfort of not giving into those urges, but at times when the anxiety is too much to bear, this is a good mediator. It keeps me aware of the fact that my brain wants mindless scrolling, not a real urgent task to complete. Thank you for this app.
I’ve been going crazy trying to quit social media during lockdown. Just downloaded Binky and it’s actually quite soothing. If you want to rub your phone without all the politics, drama, and fear of the last year you should just download binky. 10/10 I would recommend.
It would be awesome if there were even more pointless things to do-- like, a search bar that just displays random results no matter what you search, or a message option where you can just send insignificant, meaningless messages into the digital void. Still, very nice & nihilistic
This app is so stupidly well designed I can’t handle it. It really gives you relief to the urge to scroll scroll SCROLL. It feels goofy enough I feel it’s not worth spending time on it, the realization I SHOULD have on actual scrolling social media. It is perfect for what I need and it really does help.
This is really weird and creative and a way to confuse your friends. But I think it could have a bit more like maybe have a way for people to post their own things on like a forum or is that a bad idea...
I thought I would fiddle with the app for a minute and then delete. Except I only closed the app now, two hours from when I opened it. And it definitely helped that very real craving I get when nothing's happening anywhere.
I love this app It’s amazing! The one thing missing is to click on binks and discover what is being posted. Like the glockenspiel, like we should be able to click on it and it gives us information on it.
Literally it's really satisfying I feel like I'm still keeping my hands busy. It's practically like a digital figet non spinner! I love the little sounds it makes I wish it would be more personalized but it definitely has my attention!
From Naan to Ankles, his app has literally everything. The art looks amazing! I think that you should have a messaging function, like in a real app, but its just a randomly generated name and message. Its a great tine waster
This app is pretty fun and kills time. All the photos are so random! Don't know how this will hold up long term to keep me away from Instagram but so far it has me in tears 😂
This thing is so hilarious. I can't stop "writing" comments. Or should that be "writing" "comments"? Either way, it's really funny and delightful and strangely compelling.
Add a feature called "Add a star" where you can friend up to 5 people, but they have to be random users of the app and you can't look people up. Then you can message them with the autofill typing
i really really like the idea behind this app, but it's still not the same feeling. i think there should be an option to leave your own comments for example, or a profile with the things you've re-binked. just to still feel like youre doing something, even though ultimately it means nothing
Binky is the most stress-free social media app ever! Think about all those times when you want to scroll through a feed on your phone, but you don't want to read depressing news articles or see photos from people who seem happier than you. Binky gives you the incessant micro-thrills of scrolling through stuff, never knowing what's coming next, without all the hassle. And the things you do in Binky don't end up on a server somewhere for the world to see. It's all the fun of social media with all the privacy you wish you had! Features: * An infinite list of random stuff (we call them "Binks"), with pictures. You won't care about some of them, but others will give you a fleeting feeling of satisfaction -- just like a real app! * Each Bink has a Like button so that you can like it, just like a real app! * Swipe left or right on Binks, because it's weirdly satisfying, just like a real app! * Leave a comment! Unlike a real app, you don't have to stress about what to say. Just mash the keyboard and Binky will think of an appropriate comment for you! Where's THAT feature, Facebook? * A "share" button that doesn't do anything! * Scroll through over a thousand Binks, including: sawdust, Sam Cooke, rutabagas, laser tag, merman, mascara, puddles, and elbow. If you read all the way through that last bullet point, you're already hooked. Download it today!
