User friendly & amazing options
I joined the site 4 days ago and am completely blown away by the amazing guys I’ve met matched with so far. I almost felt like I needed to pause my profile for a minute just to not get overwhelmed with the amount of options I’ve had with attractive professional black men. Ladies I’m highly recommending this app to you. I’m based in ATL but I travel for work and I’ve met a general surgeon, a cybersecurity global director, an ER nurse, a political consultant, and a computer scientist all in 4 days. All attractive ( in my eyes), all willing to FaceTime the same day we connected, and all willing to do a meet and greet. Pay the upgrade so you can message freely and access the profiles that are verified professionals. Make sure you are showing not just your professional side but your fun side as well. There are women on this site asking guys for $50 for gas just to go on a date so the guys are exhausted with the scammers and they are truly looking for real quality women. If that’s you then I highly recommend this site to you sis. Fellas I’m a civil engineer so there are women who won’t waste your time you just have to weed them out. Good luck out there everyone and if you join and wonder who this is I’m Cat_The_Engineer on the site.

The app is absolutely great and needed
First of all, I will start by saying that I am a Black women who has used a lot of dating apps such as tinder, hinge, bumble etc and my experience has been terrible on those apps. I received disrespectful messages from men who were only looking for a hook up. Finding BlackGentry changed my feelings on dating apps and it is currently the only dating app I use. I saw an ad on IG and I follow their page and I have been in touch with customer service as I initially needed help and they were helpful and truly are passionate about creating an app for us and by us. Since joining I have seen a lot of improvements in the quality of men on the app as well as the stability of the app. I have also met decent men on the app over the past year. One of which I dated for a while. It ended so I came back and I am supriswd at all the new features. I absolutely love the restaurants feature and I see there is now a lot of members. I literally got 50 likes my first day on the app from DECENT black men. Great Job BlackGentry. We truly need to support apps and company’s that make products for us by us and this company is an example of one doing things right and for the right reason.

App is GREAT overall!!
I found the app after seeing an ad on IG and thought to give it a try and so far it has been really cool. One thing that sets it apart is the selfie verification. It really made me feel secure to know that the people on the app are real. I have ran into many fake profiles on other dating apps and got tired of wasting swipes on fake people. The other thing I like about it is that it is very detailed and professional. The deluxe membership really gives you a lot of options because I don’t want to swipe all day so it’s great to just search for people and I like changing my location when i travel so I can meet people. The app crashes sometimes but I see that they update it often and fix stuff. So far, it’s a great app and I am meeting decent men and having good conversations. Definitely check it out.

Misleading
The absolutely worst dating app. They advertise “ambitious black singles” but there is no special screening different from other apps so u are literally getting the same ppl I would get from any other app. Also you can’t see who likes you unless you upgrade and and not a lot of men I’ve seen on here are willing to upgrade to match and communicate with you. This is a fairly new service and after 4 days of a paid subscription I was given a message there were no other profiles for me to view. Again, the advertisement makes you believe you will meet a higher caliber mate but there is no screening or requirements that make this app any different from others and if u don’t upgrade to a paid subscription so many features are blocked making this a full waste of time. Edit: I’ve read the developers comment and of course it’s their job to try to make the app seem good but essentially it’s no different than any others that all functions are free. You can send a very limited amount of messages and u can’t see who likes YOU.I’ve seen the exact same ppl I’ve seen on FB dating, BLK etc. That’s FINE but the advertisement is very misleading. I agree with the person who commented the app is boring. So much so I deleted the app with time still left on the monthly subscription I purchased. A waste of time and money.

This app is just boring
I took a chance on this app because it was FUBU and I really wanted to stay away from the big box store dating apps. I paid for the service and took time to upload a complete profile with CLEAR pics (face and full length). I was so excited to get started but once I got on the app left me feeling totally deflated! First, the questions are very vague and don’t allow you to leave enough detail or even show your personality. Some (men in my case) are just lazy and only leave one sentence or one word answers so I can’t get intrigued. Then, if you do find someone who catches your attention you can only “like” them and you can’t get back to their profile for a second look once you do this. And how do you know who’s viewing YOUR profile? There’s no way to tell if your profile is getting any traffic at all. I’m in the DC area so I know we’ve got a ton of attractive, professional singles out here who are ready to mingle but they must not be on this app! I only saw ONE person that I was interested in and I guess I have to sit back and hope he responds. Then there’s the buying of tokens even if you pay for a membership. It’s like playing Candy Crush and it’s kinda belittling in my opinion...most of the 40 and over crowd probably won’t appreciate this! Looks like I’ll be signing on to Match after all.

Black Lighting strikes twice
I joined BG in hopes to find a love connection like most others that join a dating app. Overall, I have found a variety of men that have detailed profiles to very vague ones. Most with great pictures and a few with pictures that were alarming. BG does ask for each person to pay a minimum fee to join and verify their page. However, once you make it past the initial state you’re able to change the profile at any time. It is apparent that there is not any monitoring moving forward past the initial state. If you are connected with an individual, you and that person are able to chat. The system has a glitch and does not allow conversation to flow. There is a time stamp on both sides of the conversation and it replies are often delayed even if your chatting in real time. BG may not be aware of this problem but does not have a way of report tech support or issues on the app. Feel free to contact for more details.

Won me over
Great experience so far on the app. I mean it’s a dating ain’t so it won’t be perfect but overall blackgentry is the best black dating app right now. there are different people on here. It’s not filled with fake models or people ghosting. Like the women actually respond and communicate first on BlackGentry! I’m a serious dater so seeing completed profiles is important to me. The team actually listens to suggestions. I sent a request about increasing search distance and they made the change. Now that’s a company that cares! Let’s keep the black love going!

Boring & Deceiving
I joined this app in hopes of finding people with class & quality as stated in this app. I assumed the other members were single professionals that keep their pants around their waist. It’s the complete opposite & it’s inconsistent. You see a few decent men that at least look presentable and even state more than just a few words when you read about them. The rest gives me POF vibes , I don’t see anything classy about some of the members. I hate to be judgmental or shallow but I do pay attention to appearance. If I’m on a classy dating app why do I see nothing but men wearing saggy jeans throwing up middle fingers? Ew ! Also, the fact that I spent $24 just to see who liked my profile was a waste. Honestly, I don’t care about the money. I just want my time back. I do appreciate them wanting you to verify your identification , but there should be some kind of standard of how you carry yourself, I thought that’s what made this app different than the rest. The least they could’ve done was post a selfie, I wouldn’t have skipped so much.

Pay for your matches. Just use BLK it’s much better.
If you don’t have the premium subscription, it does not matter how many likes you have. I’ve been on the app for two months and the app says that I have 50 likes. Over those two months I’ve swiped at least 1000 profiles with my range all the way up to 500 miles. It’s almost as if the app hides any profiles that like you in order for you to see them you would have to pay. I use other apps such as BLK that do not hide your matches in regardless if you premium membership, it will always put your matches in front of you. This is just an app looking to profit off a black love. I wish all those who are really looking for love to find what they’re looking for. You won’t find it here unless you pay a ridiculous amount of money. one of the things they brought themselves on is the screening process which is pretty watered down because they are still fake profiles and women trying to sell their selves for a profit. Be careful in queens.

It’s ok
Alright so the app is FUBU which is great. But it does have it’s cons. As a basic user (no subscription) you can only like a profile or message someone but that’s pretty much it. You cant even go back on a profile you liked. And there is a limit on how many profiles you can like. As a subscriber, it doesnt get better honestly. You see who likes you and you have unlimited likes you can give out but again, you can go back on liked profile and there really isnt any way for you to know how much traffic your profile is getting. I’ve been on for 2 weeks, with a 90% completed profile with full body pictures and have received 1 like. I guess one could say its because no a lot of people are using the app but there are no “boost” option, no trending posts; nothing. I like in NY and my mileage preference is set at 150 and only 1 like in 2 weeks..? Yea ok.

Yeah a Hard Nope
So this app is not giving what is advertised. I put what age range, 35 to 45, and nothing but males in their 20s on my page. My DMs are just a bunch of crazy messages, and people who look like they have gout, and hypertension in their 20s. How sway? I even paid for the upgrade, and it feels like I upgraded to more nonsense. Can someone please tell me where is the University of “hard knocks” or “getting this paper” Like, come on, really!!! I wanted to support them, but no one in this app wants to have a serious conversation or put quality into their page. Also, can we talk about how it takes forever to load and will just shut down on you? I think the app needs more fine-tuning and allowing people to filter what they are looking for. When reading the reviews, the developer is clapping back at people who are having the same issue we are all having instead of trying to fix the kinks in this app

Concerns
I’m just a little disappointed because I thought this app would be different than others. BG does not offer a trial period of any sort which is highly alarming. I would feel more comfortable subscribing to a $6-10 weekly subscription/trial; than to pay a $25 non-refundable fee for a monthly subscription to an app I could come to feel is not for me. Lastly, the amount of likes someone has before having to choose a subscription or wait the time displayed makes me feel as if this app is more so about money, than it is to genuinely help black singles establish healthier connections and relationships as stated in the BG missions section. Other than the issues listed above I think BG is a great app that has a lot to offer to black individuals and a great amount of dating and preference options.

More standards for women
I am a young professional male with some good prospects for myself in life and that’s great but what’s not great is this app. For a 21 year old male it’s definitely not the app you want to use. The algorithm is buggy for sure as I kept getting recommended the same women I swiped left on. The women are not professional at all. They look like drag queens and have weed and other substances in their pictures. Some women on there only want to sell “content” whatever that means. This is just a slightly higher barrier of entry than BLK and not to mention why is there other women than black on here? I thought this was FUBU??? Anyways… Advice to young professional black men do not get on this app leave it for everyone else your better than it. Advice to the developers of this app please do more checks on women accounts as well as men because quality men are not gonna stay on this app if there are lack luster women everywhere and the false advertisement of quality BLACK women.

Don’t Let Them Gaslight You!
I really wanted to support this app because it presented as a platform to meet upscale African-Americans but my experience has been terrible. I’ve tried to offer support by contacting these folks via Instagram but it hasn’t led to any significant improvement. 1. The app’s functionality is poor and it constantly just shuts down for no reason while using it. Messages from people who are interested, don’t always show up even though a notification will appear on my phone’s home screen. Whenever the developers update the app, you have to delete it and download it again—which is inconvenient and confusing. Admit these issues instead of denying they exist!! 2. The selection pool of men is not upscale by far! Create filters to allow users to sort out people who don’t complete their profiles. That alone would make a big difference 3. The developers will not own up to the poor experience, and instead throw the dissatisfaction back on the customer like their unhappiness is a fault. Replies from them feel like clap-backs from a hurt child versus sincere customer care Some acknowledgement and grace on the part of the developers would go a long way and yet, there is no way to get a refund. It’s all good though. Karma will catch up with these folks as one day someone will publicly air this app’s dirty laundry. Disappointed and turned-off!!

Hate it
This app have so many bugs. Don’t waste your time. The app isn’t even opening at this point. When I was able to access the app, it kept kicking me out, alert me that there’s new messages but the messages took forever to actual populate up. It’s a pain altogether and definitely not worth subscribing to. They have a llooonnnggggg way to go for it to be an ok app. Seems like there’s no real effort to fix the bugs. Not sure if it’s related but ever since downloading the app I’ve been receiving a LOT of spam calls and emails. It’s annoying. Received a response from the company in regards to no emails from me to them about the issue. Now I need to update my review more correctly. The swipe left/right function sometimes doesn’t work 70% of the time. They show the same profiles you had swiped left on. Also, in mid view of someone’s profile, it’ll say “update face card”. Consider this my email in regards to the issue 🤗.

Soon as the remove my subscription 5 like of the bat please stay away hinge is probably the only legit app left on the market 💯🫡

Best app for Black singles!
I think this is the best dating app for Black people. I have tried a few other apps and it’s hard to find a lot of Black singles so having an app with nothing but my preference is great. I’ve actually been a member now for about a year. The quality of people is decent also and better than other apps. I use the new VIP and Gentry lounge page a lot so I think this were great addition to the app because you get to see the recommended profiles. I think the screening process is ok. I’m taking one star away for a couple of bugs that I ran into but they were nothing major and customer service was very responsive. So far I am enjoying the app and have met a few great people in my area.

$30 for 1 month
This app is almost exactly like tagged and you literally can’t see anyone or do anything without paying first. Search for user is blurred. When you go to the lounge and click on people the app tells you to pay. You also get put on a waitlist until someone approves your pictures. Hella notifications for nothing. They make it hard for you to delete your pictures. When you click your pictures it says camera gallery and cancel. You can’t replace the picture unless there’s a face. Deleted and removed! REPLY: I wanted to delete my pictures because I don’t trust y’all with my content after I delete my account, and there are no free features on that app. The subject says $30 for one month, so why would you even offer me subscriptions? Obviously it’s a problem. This app is just like Tagged BLK and any other trash app don’t play with me.

Don’t waste your time
I wanted to believe this app would be better than others I’ve tried, and of course support us. But do not waste your time; this app is a joke. There’s a cap on likes (even if you’re swiping left/passing on people), the people on the app are not even close in caliber to the people they show in their ads/social media, and the hopeful matches I did get never responded to messages. Anyone can message you even if you don’t match so I received a ton of messages from audacious geriatrics (I’m in my early 30s and not looking for a sugar daddy) and babies (22-26 year olds). You can only filter by distance (miles) and gender so any and every one pops up as an option. My 1 star is for effort and because y’all are also Black, but this app gets zero stars. They have to be paying people who gave anything more than 3 stars because absolutely not.

Needs work! Don’t WASTE your time!
The app glitches so much! It won’t allow you to view your matches unless you pay so no it’s not really free! Update the software! It’s low quality. So much potential I’m disappointed! You put more effort in your marketing. The person responding to critical reviews seems very passive and rude. On tinder and other apps you can see your matches for free and message them! On here you only get direct messages and mines were from guys I swiped left on! Take that feature off why would anyone want messages from ppl they swiped left on. This is so disappointing! Instead of being passive maybe make some changes! The good reviews are from their workers! The men on the app is dusty and not professionals! Stop marketing as such! Talk about “meet ambitious singles”! They’re on there smoking & throwing up gang signs! Ambitious where?! Your so called screening process is off! I can’t believe y’all are not listening to people! You keep getting the same bad reviews! Their business insta page is very much deceitful! I signed up for no reason! Don’t respond back to me explaining and being passive! This app needs to do better or your business will go down and teach the person that’s responding to get out of their feelings!

Black Men with Substance
It is so nice to finally find an app that has professional Black men with substance. Men who are looking for commitment and know what they want. It is very hard to date when you are in your 30s+ but this app makes it possible to find a genuine connection with someone who is done playing the games and want longevity. The potential men that I’ve interacted with have been respectful and genuine in their intentions. I like the fact that people with class seem to be promoted on this app. It’s not about naked bodies plastered all over the app. There’s so much more than just the physical appearance. I’ve met some interesting individuals so far and a promising one at the moment. I’m thankful for this app.

Feedback
I made sure to take my time and give this app a chance before leaving a review. It has been almost two months since I create my account and I have to say I’m very disappointed. I’ve paid for a two subscriptions and have had no luck. I specifically put my preferences on my account yet this app continues to allow 20 years, 40+ men send request. Sometime tell even give person access to send me a direct message even though I didn’t heart their account. The app has so far shown men who appear not to care about their appearance which is beyond disappointing. I will close my account after the end of my subscription. Hopefully everyone else has better luck on this app because I’ve had 200+ requests and I’ve only picked three personally that I thought I like which it unfortunately did not work out.

Ehhh. I’ll update if I see changes
This didn’t make me wanna focus too much in this app. The filtering system is terrible and doesn’t even filter what it offers. I should be able to filter out height, smokers, children, and other things. It’s literally just location distance and age. Both of which are poor because as far as distance it only stops at 20 miles, nothing closer than that, and I still get women like 27 miles away so what’s the point of even picking 20 as the distance if it’s just gonna be ignored? As far as age I get women older than the age range I chose. I stoped mine at 38, why am I still getting women who are 43, again what’s the point of setting parameters that the app won’t even acknowledge. That stuff should be changed asap for a more user friendly experience

Money Hungry App
Like others I wanted to support the app because it is for us, but the app seems to be very money hungry & not about black “love” at all. Other apps that have been successful & that are actually productive and cost little to no money at all. Again I understand that a small start up such as this app must make money in order to keep the app & it’s developers afloat, but i feel as if they should’ve taken another route & focused more on advertising instead of milking the pockets of black singles seeking love or a partner. Apps like BLK (which is for blacks by blacks), Tinder, Bumble and Facebook Dating are light years ahead of this app solely based on the money aspect of it. Bumble as well cannot compete with FB dating or Tinder because of their paywall. The developers of this app should go back a change their paywall to make the app more applicable for black singles.

What a scam. Waited over a year for access only for my profile to be rejected
I saw many advertisements for this app, and had really hopes. As a black woman, it is incredibly hard to find high achieving black men of my caliber on most dating apps. I knew the app would be selective, and waiting to get access to create a profile didn’t phase me. I finally received notification that I had was taken off the waiting list a year and a half later. Then, after submitting my pictures, profile and the verification selfie, my app was rejected. I received a notifications saying I had one more chance to “correct” my profile or I’ll be banned. As an Ivy educated lawyer with much anticipation for a dating app that was advertised to be for women like me, I’m severely disappointed. So much for supporting a black dating app allegedly for black women.

Nice Concept, BUT
You can only see the people you've matched with if they send you a message. I've received over 300 notifications of matches and can only see the few who have sent me a message first. I'm able to pay $30 to see everyone who liked me, but EVERY dating app I've ever been on has a page where you can view all of your matches. Not being able to do that kinda defeats the purpose of a dating app. Also, I've tried multiple times in multiple different ways. I've seen the developer replying to comments saying that it's possible to see your matches but it literally isn't unless they message you or you pay for the subscription. I'm sure once they fix this, BlackGentry will be used more often.

Cool app
Its a cool app. It just needs to be upgraded . You miss messages and they don't pop up . You have to do a lot just to see the messages. Its a lot going on, on the app. So you can look at people through likes, you have direct messages. Or you can do the swipe thing. It gives you way more options than other apps. Make sure you take time to explore the app and all it has to offer. I lowkey want them to make one for people looking for mommy friends 😫 I like the way the layout of their app is. I haven’t found the type of man I like so far but with this app Im hopeful. I did meet a lot of nice people on here though!

This is just like BLK, but with lies.
I’m a young professional woman looking for a upscale man or at least professional like me. Baby, every single man is from south side of Chicago (big red flag for me) and they don’t even have high profile careers 😭 Just regular jobs and regular personalities. UPDATE: I don’t knock anymore that doesn’t work in corporate world but there’s a huge problem when you have “property investor” or “real estate broker” and you work in a warehouse or no where at all. All I’m saying is you need to ask for proof of the occupation before they can lie. If you guys root for men that lie to get the kind of woman they want, just say that then. Y’all got too many men on here that don’t have jobs, no license and no cars. How can you make a high profile dating app and not certify if they are actually a high profile person?😭😭

Disappointed
I joined this app because of how it was advertised to meet black single men. Men who were professional and ambitious etc. It was the complete opposite. I mean polar opposite. The men on this app lie about their ages and then don't fill out their profiles. At the very least the algorithm should block them from showing yaa option until they fill out the profile section correctly. That would make it more professional. Asking for state IDs would eliminate the lying about your age. THEN. This app had the nerve to ask me for 20$ so I can see who liked me, how bogus is that? Whatever, I invest my 20$. For what, I don't know! The app won't even show your profile, even when you have paid to be on this app with their lack of background checks. The app claims it's for serious connections. That is not true.

No, don’t do it
This is the worst app I’ve ever experienced. To start, the concept is a lie. There is no indication that profiles are vetted for quality purposes and most of the prospects appear far from professional. A few even had their occupation as selling illegal substances! It is as if they vet profiles and only approve the opposite of professional and ambitious. Secondly, it constantly shows you profiles that you have already declined. Thirdly, the messaging feature is outdated. There is no talking or video featured and the messages don’t show when the other person is typing. This forced you to exchange personal contact info with people before having an opportunity to speak with them inside of the app. Lastly, the there are few options to filter for traits that you prefer.

Could be the area I live in, but…
I doubt that. I live in NYC, one of the most diverse cities on the planet. I was really surprised at the caliber of guys they had on this app, being that they make you go through a verification process to join. The guidelines definitely mentioned that weed/smoking picture would not be accepted, and I came across a guy smoking a blunt in his first profile picture…so clearly, the “verification” process is not foolproof. I also don’t like the fact that you need a LinkedIn page to join the professionals. I’m a college graduate who’s a small business owner. I don’t need, and have never needed to use LinkedIn, and that doesn’t make me any less of a professional. Anywho, the guys on here are similar to those on BLK and other ratchet apps.

After these ppl tried to gaslight me about saying how I don’t like how it’s limited swipes going back in forth I deleted my account I said Tinder don’t have limited swipes atleast where I live in America they respond yes they do excuse me I didn’t know u new MY LIFE EXPERIENCES lol tbh it’s a bunch of OLD PPL on the app and everything cost and they let a bunch of thirsty men message u that u didn’t even swipe wit the app is ok but ultimately them steady responding gas lighting me and basically saying my personal experiences are LIES and twisting my words tryna say I said black businesses shouldn’t charge when I never said that let me know iaint tryna support no business that 1. Don’t put the customers first or value their views 2. Gas light customers 3. Unprofessional with the constant replies 4. Cockiness u can’t t possible expect to get a customer to pay for your app (that isn’t the best btw) after u gas light then and harass them view app reviews get real Any way the ppl who run this app lack professionalism and clearly just want money they can’t take criticism and don’t value feedback good riddens

I really wanted to love it
I really wanted to love this app, but there are some MAJOR glitches that need to be addressed. I tried using the free features first and got no matches for the first couple of days. So I decided to pay for a month, one, in support of this black dating platform, and two, to see if I would get a different result. However, as soon as I paid for the first month, the app started to randomly crash and wouldn’t even bring up my profile photos. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, only to find out that there’s not even a way to log back in to my same profile. I was prompted to start a whole new one. Needless to say I am not happy at all and I feel like I wasted my money. App developers, please fix this issue and work out the bugs!

Other apps have better techniques
Just a heads up the reviews about the app being basically trash are true. It has no true intentions on letting you match with the people that like you and the only way you will see who has is if you pay and it’s even people in the reviews saying that too is a waste of time and money. At this point I’m just swiping to see if someone who actually liked me around would match lol so far I’ve only came across two within a week span. It’s other dating apps with better techniques on actually matching with those that like you without paying , most of the people on here are on those apps too so you might as well stick to them other apps.

Skeptical at First / I found my man
After a divorce and a couple of years single. I was skeptical about dating again. After texting through the app and talking on the phone to 2 to 3 men. I was about to give up. Then I finally met a guy who was on my level. We both had great jobs, and an MBA, and knew what it takes to be happy. Whew… thought I would never meet my guy. But I am super happy 😁 O waited a little longer.

Wish there were other free features
The app has great features and I like that I can give a little insight into who I am outside of my bio, however I’m not interested in paying to date and I didn’t realize prior to download the only feature that is free is creating my profile you should be a little more specific about that in advertisements or even in the app features section. I got many likes and a couple of messages in the one hour that I had it on my phone but couldn’t respond to any of it without paying for a membership. This made me no longer interested and I deleted my profile.

This app is said to be a higher quality of black professionals but it's the same thing as in every other app. The age range I selected shows many potential matches out of that range, I receive multiple likes from the same people, people clearly don't read my bio before liking my profile. This app is misleading and people are better off sticking with Hinge. Hopefully this app improves with time, but the way it's currently set up does very little to give me faith in meeting someone here. I was rooting for this app, major let down. Oh and there is only a monthly or 3 months options for subscription. No option for a trial. I chose 3 months and I immediately regret paying for the app at all!

Lame
120 likes and no way to see them unless I pay $25? I think not. Limited swipes makes it nearly impossible to match w someone. A lot of “request timed out” messages. Also don’t like that people can message you even if y’all didn’t match because 9/10 it’s someone I would never swipe right on. Y’all need to add more filters like height, children, etc. Facebook dating is better because you can do all of that. You can see who likes you, like them back, & get straight to conversing. It’s just easier on both ends. Tried to support my community but, I’m really not impressed. I’ll give it a 1 out of 10. Hopefully they consider all the feedback cause most of the recent reviews are very negative🫣

Too Restrictive
This app should give a 2 or 3 day trial bc It’s hard to properly explore this app when you have to pay for everything. Which is fine if I can at least try before I buy. Users are limited to the amount profiles they can like, you can’t see who likes you, you can’t go back to a profile if you accidentally unliked it, if you download this app while out of town you can’t set your location, if you match with someone you have to chat with them within 24hrs or they disappear…. You can’t, you can’t, you can’t… I deleted this app and went to Ok Cupid which has far less restrictions for free.

Honest Question
There is a wait list to use this app. Why? There is a list of things that you cannot have in your pictures. Ok, fair. What if you’re white? I was on the wait list for a very long time. I had nothing offensive in my pictures, but I’m a white guy. I am 100% serious about liking black girls. That seems interesting and it seems like part of the wait list is to weed out white people, though it goes unsaid. What if there was an app called white gentry? That wouldn’t be tolerated people would be up in arms over it - not just black people. Think about it. The idea of this app in general is racial segregation. That is something Martin Luther King fought against.

Mmmm 4messages a day should atleast be free
Honestly the app could be so much better , it’s a nice looking app. if you don’t want to pay $30+ for a membership I suggest looking elsewhere as the free functions are very LIMITED so limited that by time you even get to send a message the person doesn’t respond to you because they thought you weren’t interested. There are handsome and possible of quality men on there it just takes a bit of sifting through. I think a 3day or 1week free trial for new members would benefit the app majorly. At the end of the day we’re all desperate for something right? So pay or don’t pay the developers don’t necessarily care …

Great Dating App
This is a good dating app after using several and people are who they say they are only issue I have is that it is slow to load and it will show I have message with the red dot but messages will not always show up. I have to keep closing the app several times and re open this is kind of discouraging as I have paid for a membership and also lots of profiles saying to send a message as they cannot see likes. Maybe you need to update the app. Idk not an app expert but please fix. Thanks

Definitely not worth the price it’s sittin at .
Definitely a bunch of dusties. I downloaded with the hopes of actually seeing nice, well taken care of men in suits, with things going for themselves. not ones talking about waking up and their sausage was hard in Cookie Monster pjs. 😮‍💨 you get maybe ten swipes before you have to pay to swipe more, you can’t really do much without having to pay. So I just wait for them to message. Even that might be limited. Has potential but definitely not what was advertised. 😂

Terrible
I’m getting notifications that people like me but no messages, so I stopped going into the app. I just recently tried to go in to delete my old account and it was telling me to reenter my information, like my account was already deleted without my consent. I hope it was fully deleted and they just didn’t kick me out and my old profile is still up. I do not understand this app at all. And it says it have a community to pick and choose whose on the app and it looked like they approved anyone who wanted to join. I wish I had the option to delete my account instead of it being gone without my knowledge.

Doesn’t seem to vet the men
The app has some great things going for itself in terms of technology, but we are here for the quality dating choices. There doesn’t seem to be a quality standard in terms of the men on this app. I joined hoping to avoid the riff raff and there seems to be mostly that, many “entrepreneurs” smoking weed and holding a bottle (in their photos. Like presenting themselves as dateable like this ) and a few men who actually have an education and a professional job. I have a lot of likes but based on the quality I’m seeing I would never pay to “see who likes you.” Hopefully this feedback can be helpful.

Needs work
I downloaded the app. Put time into making a profile. Met one super cool dude. Then when I got an alert to update the app, it basically cleared my profile and prompted me to recreate it to get back on. I didn’t feel motivated enough to go through that again, but the app still send me alerts when people like my profile which is weird. Although you have to sift through a bunch of profiles that don’t fit the description of what’s advertised, I did manage to meet someone, so there’s that.

Has potential
I’d like to give this app more starts and I will admit it’s accurate for black dating, however the app is very gitchy. I paid $25 for the membership and I can say it’s not worth it; sometimes I can’t see who matched me or the app doesn’t update when someone sends you a message other times it just crashes; often times I read profiles and they say they can’t get messages so hit their IG, and for us dating we know once we get sent to DM’s whatever we wanted to say is lost in thst sea 😂😂😂

Judgmental app! Terrible customer service
Reading all these reviews makes me feel like I wasn’t tripping! I don’t know who died and left you all in charge to judge people by ‘looks’ to determine their class. It’s highschoolish. Never judge a book by a cover but you all must be perfect because you clearly DO! I signed up and instantly got banned! I tried supporting my own but they must think they’re raya with celebrity clientele only! I’ll stick to other apps at least I don’t have to wait inline for anything! Wish I never even interacted with them because their responses are terrible. Would give 0 stars if I could!

Needs better screening
I downloaded this app a few months ago after seeing an ad on social media. The ad was intriguing and showed the type of men I would like to date. One getting approved on the app which I loved the fact that it was an approval process. I had success on other apps that needed approvals so I thought it would be great. (Luxy, the league, etc) once on this app it was like a bait and switch I deleted my account and the app. While this was my experience it may be different for others I am in the Cleveland area and did expand my distance out it just wasn’t for me. Good luck Ladies!

This App is a waste of time.
I joined this app last week Saturday thinking I would have a different experience. Honestly it turns out to be the worst. I feel like I was lied to. The app supposed to be about black professional I absolutely have not seen not one professional it’s literally another version of POF and if I knew and took into account of what I read from the reviews I wouldn’t have downloaded however I wanted to experience it myself and I can’t believe I paid for a membership just to have some broke down dudes with no shirt on, sticking their tongue out in picture. What a joke. Absolute worst.
