This app works great, about the only downside I would say is that you cannot search your saved files. Other than that excellent. The printer itself uses quite a bit of extra material for printing which doesn’t seem quite logical, but that’s just a small gripe that comes out of my pocket. The time that it saves well, makes up for that cost.
I really like this printer. There is room for improvement for example, when you build a list, there needs to be a print option where you can select individual tags by highlighting the tags on the list to print. Right now you select all, range, or individual tags by #. You have to almost memorize the #s. The other complaint is I have had cartilages deemed empty and now unusable by this printer but still have label material on the reel. There is no way around using it either. I know HP has got into legal trouble for similar practices with ink cartridges. It needs to be addressed. It’s should warn it’s out but not lock it out.
The larger width nylon labels, .75 inch, may jam as they start to separate from the label backing. Be ready for that, even better avoid them if you can. The 1/2 inch vinyl is where it’s at. This size is a work horse. The M211 is one of my favorite tools. Very useful in the office as it is in the work site. Thank you Brady for making this!
I have used the M211 labeler quite often and I really like the compact size the ease of use and the easy interface using the app. There is a little bit of a learning curve for some of the more intricate settings, but it’s not bad.
This thing is driving me nuts. With my old cheap Brady labeled all I had todo is tell it the font size set it to banner and it would just print how ever long of label it took to get all of my text in . This express thing with it making save ever thing and constantly setting up new labels is not for me I have yet to fig out how to just print whatever I type without jacking with it forever. I set it to auto but is still chops off the last part of what I’m trying to print
Preview doesn't display properly / Can't chain labels to save tape
The Preview cuts off part of the label. It print's correctly but it's not WYSIWYG as it should be. You should also be able to chain print labels and set the margins so that you can save tape and not have such wide labels. The smallest label you can make with a single character is 1" wide. Not only is it a waste of tape, it leaves an oversized label which has to be trimmed with scissors unless you want a huge amount of space on either side of the data.
Overall promising app, but lacks “copies” field in wire wrap screen. Normally I label wires on both ends identical, so I’d like to print x2 copies of each label automatically. Surprisingly this app has “copies” field in pipemaker screen though…
This app works great with my M211. I’ve printed over 120ft of labels. I’ve used it create mostly panel and wire labels but more recently office projects. I enjoy the diversity of what can be created.
I have fun making the labels to mark parts storage bins. I can mark wire labels for irrigation wiring. The app is great, easy to use my cell Bluetooth connectivity.
On Mac OS cannot connect to device, setup label, or genuinely use the app without it crashing. I resort to using it on an ipad which is marginally better to where I can at least print a label. Having to design labels using touch input is NOT ideal.
My M series chip MacBook allows me to download the iPad version of this application, however once downloaded the app crashes upon attempting to connect to printer via Bluetooth.
I love the simplicity of printing labels. I have a M211 and love it. Thank you, George Humphrey 2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
