the bricks have consumed me

i am on level 1721 of brick breaker legend balls. i thought it would be a stupid cheap, AI generated game, but each level has been distinct, unique, and of increased difficulty from the last level. i bought this game last year and played several levels each day since then. i do not know what my life would be without this game. it would be empty - a mere husk of a brick filled existence without a ball to shatter them one by one. no i am NOT paid to write reviews i do this because i am a broken man and quarantine took everything from me my soul my mind my friends but despite it all, it could not take away brick breaker legend balls. heed my words. when plague fills our land and the government falls, the brick will be the only thing that matters.

I played this game before and after buying a new phone I had to download this game again because of the way it was designed. Meaning I absolutely love everything about it. Similar games make you have to scroll through advertising games every other game you play. So in one hour you only actually get about six actual games to play. The other advertised games take so long to load and then too long to display. Who wants to put up with that. Not me. I rather delete that game and stay clear of all those other games advertised. Because you know that they will do the same thing to. Listen I and everyone else knows free games require us to put up with advertisements. But if you cannot actually enjoy the actual game because you’re enslaved by more advertisements then what you actually download to enjoy. Then who wins. It becomes to stressful and we should be able to recoup that stress bye deleting them from our lives. So far I haven’t the need to delete this game or any of their other games that belongs to them. But the moment that changes. !! You can rest assure I part ways and share it with all who want a stress free gaming experience.

Worst Brick Breaking Algorithm

This version has the worst algorithm I have seen. Balls will bounce off a flat surface and then go off at a weird angle. Surprisingly the balls seem to always hit the corner of a brick or the corner angle intersection of two bricks and come exactly straight back. Physically impossible. Also the aiming line is extremely inaccurate. And sometimes it’s not even there. Overall this game is a waste of time. They are way more accurate games out there. Also, when they are trying to sell you stuff, they put the green oval exactly in the same spot where you will tap to start play. This is clearly done hoping you’ll tap the buy option and have it automatically linked so that it just pays, and then you are out money. Also, the buttons for using power ups are located in a poor area; too easy to tap them by mistake during play and lose your coins. Lastly, they also have the replay button, which cost you 200 coins, appear exactly in the same spot and look exactly the same as the start button. Again this is intentionally done so you lose coins and have to buy more.

Not the best

I am hooked on this type of game right now. I have about 6 of them on my phone and I play all of them (including this one). This game has a couple of things going for it. First, the graphics are great. Nice contrast and clear icons so you can clearly see bonuses and power-ups. I also like the way the levels are built into “chapters” so you know how long until the next progress bonus. This game also includes power-ups that I haven’t seen in games like it. This is a nice addition. However, the animation in the game is very poor. The balls move very slowly and with a jitter that makes it feel like the game is struggling to run, regardless of the hardware on the phone. The motion is actually smoother when the balls speed up near completion of a level. After playing so many of these games, this slow motion actually makes the game frustrating to play. The other issue is the calibration. When aiming the balls at a brick close enough that the guideline touches the brick, the balls actual hit below the location of the guide. The lack of accuracy in this part limits any skill that a player can play. This isn’t at all a horrible game. If you are new to this type of game, you will likely enjoy it. However, until these issues are fixed, there are better options.

Great game.

I’ve had this game on my phone for about three years now. I love how I can play it while I’m working from home between calls and meetings and it doesn’t have a time limit. You can pause and pickup where you left off. Challenging and frustrating. However I think I finally beat it after three years. Got to chapter 126 and beat 1930 levels and I guess there aren’t more. The new dynamic version isn’t bad. But I prefer the one that’s not dynamic. Hoping for more levels. Thanks for the good times. Also, I spent the first year or so with the ads. It’s well worth the bucks or two to get ads removed and you can enjoy the game easier.

Break it and win not weep

Hello fellow gamers of brick breaker. This game is awesome and outstanding. I tried “brick and balls” and it was okay at first. But as I continued playing the game, it became for me rather impossible. It gave you help and breaks occasionally yet one level I played I could not win so I deleted it. This game is easier for me. The other game is fine but I prefer brick breaker. I find that this game of brick breaker and added features are more my level and style and strategy. Thanx for creating an awesome game for my experience level and making it fun and challenging and exciting. Please have a beautiful and blessed day night week and weekend forward. The only game I’ll never delete

This game has been my go-to since 2018. It’s been 6 years of playing this game, and I still played it even when I had completed all the levels. I can spend hours on this game, and I recommend to anyone who needs a game to pass the time or travelling or for listening to a podcast or audio book while needing something to keep your hands occupied without thinking about it. I do wish the newer levels didn’t repeat as much because it does feel a bit lazy, but I do appreciate the constant additions to the game, so I’ll take what I can get!

Warning: This game has one MAJOR flaw

I would’ve gladly given this game a 5 Star review because it’s fun and addictive. The problem is that whenever you open the app, you have to tap a “Play” button to resume your last game. Seems harmless enough, right? The issue is that a latent pop-up ad will suddenly appear for you to buy an “on sale” bundle of items for $2.99. The “Buy” button for that ad pops-up directly over the “Play” button just as you’re trying to press it. This kind of design flaw doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a very sleazy, deceptive way of forcing people to unintentionally pay for something they don’t want. If your device is programmed to approve purchases through facial recognition, DO NOT download this game.

Don't pay for ad free version

I really loved playing this game until I paid for the ad free version. Now it’s not nearly as much fun, so I don’t play it as much as I used to. The bottom line is this: when the line of bricks hits the bottom, you can use 200 coins to get 3 more lines. If you haven’t paid for the ad free version, you get the option of watching an ad to get one line, which often is enough to allow you to continue. However, if you pay for the ad free version, you lose that option when the bricks hit the bottom. Instead you HAVE to purchase 3 lines to continue. I don’t mind ads in games, but I’m also willing to pay for games I like. This is one I wish I hadn’t paid for.

A new issue?

I love this game. I’m glad you got the last problem solved—once the game got loaded, the screen would go dark. Refusing to return playable. With the update of 5 September, when the round is over, the exit button isn’t working. Neither is the 120 coin expense to get the 3-level lift. The top right add-coins button works. I wouldn’t presume to know how difficult it is, to know how to design and patch a game but I’ve been playing this game for nearly 4 years and I know y’all fix things when necessary Keep up the good work!! (But help me with this issue) Thanks again!!

I love this game

My mom got this game and loved it so I got it on my phone and loved it so much that I got it on my I pad to the only problem is that there are to many ads in my opinion at least like an ad between each level and don’t get me wrong I mean come on it’s a mobile game of course there’s gonna be ads but if there were less like between every other level then this game would b a lot better even though there is that problem I still think that you should definitely get this game

Update is still buggy

I really like this game. It’s a lot of fun to play. So I would give 5 stars, but about 10 days ago, there was an update that completely killed the app. It would open, but then go to a completely black screen. At one point, I went to Settings and toggled on “Allow Tracking,” and the app began to work. Wild. So I tried toggling off tracking and it killed the app again. Unable to play at all until 2 days ago when developers released an update which appeared to fix the issue. However, the app is back to malfunctioning again. It starts and displays the main menu, but tapping on the screen does nothing. The app is totally unresponsive and appears broken again.

This game steals from you quite literally!

This game has so many glitches don't purchase anything because then the glitches really get bad don't watch videos because you think that you're getting something for the videos that you're watching the advertisements the commercials but they're lying to you because they don't end up giving you what they say they're going to give you for watching the stupid little commercial advertising there other games it's a fun game but the creators are shysters that don't get back in touch with people and quite literally steal their money enjoy! Loved it until in can’t be won

I don’t normally write reviews and when I do the are good ones. The game is very fun, addictive and challenging. I used to just play just to move on and that was easy. So I started to play using their star system, and I would move to the next board until I got all three. I was having good passing time... BR break,cig break, but the best part was it that the boards were challenging. Then the developers added new boards that reaching three stars are impossible, very disappointing. After chapter 108 the boards don’t have enough balls and they don’t give you enough bricks to break to reach 3 stars. If you can’t do that then what’s the point. I wish they would fix this problem.

Great Game!

I downloaded this game thinking it would be like all the other games. But there is just something about this game that makes it so much more fun! I love the daily challenges! It keeps the competitive side of me happy! But it’s also just very soothing and fun to play! I have beat every single lever and still come back every day to replay some of the levels! But with that being said, when will there be new levels that come out? I can’t wait for new levels to beat!!! ❤️

Fun and challenging

Fun game. Some levels are a little too ridiculous as in too difficult to pass without using money for power ups and such but still very addicting. Wish there was a pause.. sometimes if I have to leave the game to respond to a message or something, when I come back, it starts me over. Will you be adding more levels? I’m at the end (level 1963 I believe) and not sure if I should delete the app now or wait for the new level releases. Hoping for new levels! Thanks!

Game freezes

I have read the reviews dating back to Nov. 11 stating that if you have iOs 13 or higher it glitches the game and causes it to freeze. I was wondering if you have fixed the issue yet? I just downloaded the game and love the concept of it but it freezes everytime I turn around and the only way to fix it is to turn my phone off and restart the phone (closing app and restarting app does not work, I have tried). I hope you designing team is close to fixing this bug. Also the calibration bugs as well.

Great Game but be careful!

These guys are so desperate to get you to pay for something, that if you accidentally hit a buy button, you’ll lose your free button for a day or two. I’ve been so close to deleting the game, but I’m a couple thousand levels in, so I just shut it down for a few days. There are many other versions like this, so just download one of them to play while you wait these guys out. I don’t mind paying for a game, but there’s not a game on the market I will pay for multiple times, and that’s what they want. Too greedy!

Getting worse and worse

I’m 2,500 levels into this game, years and years of playing, and I think my addiction might finally be broken. I get ads on a free game, but it’s getting out of hand. My final straw was the gold levels, (levels with gold bricks you can break for actual gold) are gone. Sure, the first time you do it, they’re there. Then they turn to regular bricks. I would spend an hour grinding those levels to get gold, and now that’s gone. All so more people have to watch ads to get gold. I’m beyond upset by this change to my daily routine. I’ll give 5 stars if they ever get their greed under control and return the game to how it was.

Addictive

Really like this app. Lots of levels, difficulty gets hard but doesn’t get crazy hard at the higher levels. Cheap price to get rid of ads. Basic and fun to pass a few moments. Only thing is it’s so addictive I’ve finished it and it doesn’t update enough anymore so I haven’t played it in a while. When it gets updated I usually slow play so I can stretch it out longer.

Best game ever song from the play just a little too many commercials maybe make themh it like no commercial or ad because if you turn on airplane mode and you’re actually on a plane then that would be a bad thing if your volume is up and you play the ad but it’s a really good game five star five stars. Finger motion/tracking not accurate

For one reason I can’t figure out, when we I release my finger to let go and shoot the balls out the position of release is not where I lifted my finger off the screen. I have made an effort to be very specific yet the balls release off from the point of release inaccurately. Not really an accurate system of tracking your finger placement at the moment of release. Otherwise it would be a really great game instead just good.

Too many ads

Fun game and I could see myself spending a lot of time playing it but there are just too many ads. You get to play the first few levels ad free but then they start popping up after every level. And they are the worst kind of ads that require you to click a tiny x in the corner 2-3 times for multiple stages of the ad. It really keeps you from being able to immerse yourself in the game. I understand that free games are going to have ads but when you’re spending more time closing ads than playing the game it’s not worth it. I played for like 2 hours total and I’m gone. Sorry.

Good game, needs some tweaking & updates

I am addicted to these kinds of games and so far, I liked this one best. There needs to be some updates however. There are 56 chapters and 835 levels. I’ve beaten them all in less than a month and just emailed asking if there are going to be any new levels added. (Fingers crossed) The aim is off slightly, which is very frustrating. I spent the $1.99 to get rid of ads which is totally worth it, but it is still a money game. If you have earned $200 or more, you will no longer get an opportunity to watch a video for a free redo, so spend your earned coin in the level. You’d think that the game would get harder each level, but it doesn’t. I can’t figure out what the difference is in the levels...I thought you’d start with more calls each time, or earn more money, or something, but it’s truly random...feels unorganized. Overall I like the game.

Rigged like a carnival game

Don’t waste your time. 2 major (intentional?) flaws: 1) aiming is quite inaccurate which is important because the idea of the game is to hit whatever you are targeting. 2) shots are not reproducible so if you don’t clear a level you will have to watch yet another ad (they are constant) but you can’t use whatever worked successfully in your previous attempts.....because it won’t lead to the same outcome (eg ball bounces a different way). So you have to keep trying new strategies, and eventually have to keep watching ads or use coins. It all feels like a rigged carnival game to get you to use coins or more specifically to get you to spend your cash!

Love but…

I love this game. So much that I PAID to get the ads off because it was after every single game. But I went to get on and I couldn’t click anything. I force closed it and tried again, several times and to no avail. I deleted the app and added it back and it eventually worked. And then got stuck again. I’ve had this game for a few days now and I never saw that it was needing an update but it says the update was 2 days ago? Someone please get in touch with me to fix this.

Decent

Fun as it’s kept my attention for longer than the normal game app. However, Accidental launches are a real problem w this version. I played another which locked it in after holding for a sec to help avoid this but this app doesn’t allow that. They want you to drop 200 stars just to reset an accidental launch if you move your finger a fraction of a centimeter. Also incredibly annoying is the ‘sales’ that pop up w the green box in the exact place of the one that opens a new round. I’ve had to cancel out WAY more than I should due to this.

Lost my progress 😔😢

I started playing this game in 2019, I was on level 2500. It’s my favourite game ever to play especially when listening to audiobooks. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to open the game for a few days so I deleted it and re-downloaded it from the cloud. All my progress got deleted ‼️‼️ Now I don’t know what to do, I’m back on level 1. Any ideas?

Great game but now I’m stuck??

I really love this game. It’s simple and effortless, and great for when you need a few minutes to zone out. The ads are annoying, but what can you do? My problem is that I appear to be stuck. I’m at level 1345 and I’ve beat it twice, but it doesn’t give me a new level. I know they use repeats, so why aren’t I allowed to progress? And if I have reached the end of the published levels, at least have a banner that lets me know that new levels are coming soon.

The good and the bad...

I really like the functionality on this game, the actual game action, but he ADs are super repetitive! It’s like “NO THANK YOU for the 200th time, I DONT WANT TO DOWNLOAD “Picture Cross”! This game had very short ADs at first, but as I progress they gat longer and longer... Some of the games have 30 and 45 second ads. I really don’t need 30 seconds of commercials for another game i’ve already downloaded! or just don’t want. However, accumulation of coins for bonus plays is slow and low (10 coins per reward -when a single play for a move “advantage” tool is 100 or 200 coins) and the accuracy of the ball shooter is sometimes WAY off. For a Game that relies on the skill of the player... it’s just really stupid to have an inaccuracy when aiming the ball be that severe. I have several of these ball aiming games on my phone right now. IF the aim were more accurate, this would be one of my top 3. And the ADs were always short.

No more frees?

Up until about four days ago this game allowed me an extra row move if I watched a commercial. I never minded doing this, I get it. Now suddenly it wants 200 every time with no chance for a free..... a senior who absolutely loved playing this game but now it is frustrating and I am not playing much. If I win coins I do spend them so it’s not like I have a stash. And I cannot use real money I just don’t have it...sorry Brick Breaker you may have to go...was this the update I wonder?

Big fan and they continue to add levels

I’m addicted to this game. I’m at the end and have been for a while. Love that they continue to add more levels. Selfishly I wish they would add them more frequently as I have been waiting about a week or 2 for more levels but that’s me being selfish :). Ha. Until more are added, I go back to redo levels where I didn’t get 3 stars in.

Review on game

I’ve been playing this game for only a day and I’m really enjoying it very much I haven’t had a lot of fun with only a game in a very long time and this I can say I will be probably playing everyday especially when I can’t get any sleep I have a lot of trouble sleeping and so I wind up getting bored so I just start playing games if there is ever another game like this please let me know I would love to try it out

Rigged but Still Fun

The fun in a game like this usually comes from finding the perfect line and watching the balls fly smashing through the bricks. While the game can never be truly fulfilling because the ball physics and brick dimensions are as off as the sight of a fairground rifle, it’s possible to still find fun in it and I’ve done more than 550 rounds without spending a cent. The best advice I can give is to switch off your WiFi or data when playing and you can play and restart levels without adverts.

Game works at times

Game is fun. Sometimes the screen with just keep buffering (like an ad is coming up) but just keeps buffering and nothing happens. I’ve had to close the game multiple times because of this. Maybe there are too many ads and the connection isn’t a strong enough connection for them.

Amazing!

Unlike other mobile games, there aren’t ads every second! And the tutorial wasn’t an hour long! Plus the gameplay is so amazing and relaxing! It is the perfect game to relieve stress. I thank the developer for such an amazing game! I recommend downloading this game immediately. Also the look is so homey and calming. I love it! This deserves 5 out of 5 instead of 4.7 out of 5

Leader board

I love this game play it every night before bed. Helps me calm down for the night. But I’m a pretty competitive guy kinda wish there was a leader board. Other then that for a free game it’s the best gets more and more challenging as you go. Love the fact that you have to take your time and figure out the right bounce instead of point and shoot. Reminds me of older games from when I was a kid. Good job developers

Addicted

I’ve been playing this for quite a while. It’s very addicting! I knew fairly early on that I would play this every day so I paid for no ads. Sadly, I’m at the end?? Level 2230? I need more!!! For those that say the aim is off, yes but you adapt and compensate for it. It is possible to get to the “end”, several of us have done it.

Liked at first

I really enjoyed at first. Due to the monotone colors, the lack of adding new elements at different levels, the impossibility of getting three stars at some levels, and most of all, the balls not shooting exactly where you point them (sometimes they do and most of the time they don’t) I’m going to sadly delete this game. I had high hopes originally for it and I stuck it out through many levels. Even though each level is a different pattern, because of what I said above, it’s like playing the same game over and over and over.

Fun when it works properly

Fun when things work properly. Physics/bounces are ridiculous at times, ads are horrendous. Who in their right mind wants to watch an ads not just between levels, but even when you drag the notifications bar down, as it pauses the game and instantly requires an ad to continue. Half the time you have to hit the x to close an ad multiple times for it to register properly - and then each time it doesn’t register, it thinks you clicked for more info and brings up more App Store details.

So far, pretty fun!

Only been playing a few days, but so far I am having fun with it. I have tried quite a number of this type of game and deleted after a few days. Now I have only two that I play. I like the power ups in this game and don’t think I have not been able to finish a level so far. Definitely a game to give a try. Fun and interesting!

“Fixing” your eyes on something that needs breakin’!

I like the “double-balls,” however, they co$t a 100 coin$! A lot of the approaches I attempt are to “carom” the balls off the sides of the arena, rather than a “direct” strike ... a lot of luck, but for sure, a lot of FUN! Thanks for the design and ingenuity in the creation of this game! I will eventually delete this game, however. I firmly believe that removing ALL bricks deserves three (***) stars!

Beware!

The game is fun, but you may lose your progress. As they updated the game, it occasionally lost the ability to save my progress (about 4 times over the past year). Until last month, I was able to save it myself, because I sync between two devices. When I couldn't, I tried their support. Their “support” would sometimes take a week between responses. After two attempts, “support” dumped my ticket because I didn't respond for three days.

Decent, Not Great

It’s not a bad game, but it’s pretty much the same as any other brick breaker. Fairly basic, and there are others that are better, so there’s nothing that that really compels one to pay for the ad-free version. And unless you do, there are far too many ads. I’m certainly willing to accept some for a free game, but when I’m spending more time watching ads than playing the game, the game is quickly dropped.

It’s ok..

The aim of the ball line is off by a little, which causes me to have to reset because it ends up bouncing off the corner of the block instead of the start of the side. And there are way too many ads, I get it you make money that way but there’s an ad after every single level sometimes even having two ads. And when you’re in the middle but have to click out of the game and pause your level it also puts up an ad.

Fun at first

It was fun at first but like all games they want to make money and the game gets to a point where it’s impossible without using the special play tools that of course you have to buy ! Exactly as another person said, way to often the balls launch and come strait back. As in it’s clearly not random . They no longer make new levels for this app

Aiming issues kill an otherwise good game

It’s fun, free, and I would even pay for ad free. But the ball often doesn’t go where you shoot. Sometimes it goes higher than the aiming line, sometimes lower, sometimes left, sometimes right. In the first hundred levels it is not an issue, but as the levels get harder it is sheer frustration. For this reason I will not pay for the ad free version nor invest in the game in any other way With so many bubble games on the market that have no such issues this problem should be easily fixable.

Fun game, crappy ad choices

I’ve played this game for a bit and enjoy it but forcing a user to sit through the same 60 minute ad each time there is a restart or you move up a level is silly. Showing the same long ad over and over is poor business strategy and frustrating for the user. I don’t want to save King Robert, the Idiot, nor will I ever play Royal Match. A five star game spoiled by a crappy ad algorithm.
