Could you please consider adding an aggregate card that shows all account balances in one spot in a future release? It could be added through the “organize dashboard” feature. That way users can see all of their account balances in one spot. In my opinion, having to click “view all” or swipe through the summary cards isn’t the best experience for users with multiple accounts. If there’s a way to show all the balances on the main dashboard without additional user actions, it wasn’t intuitive through the configuration options. Many thanks.
I have been with Busey for almost 10 years now. Most of my banking is down online. I have had very little issues using the website or the mobile app. Travel a lot and I am able to log in, pay bills, look up my balance and schedule payments and make deposits and transfers. Easy to download transactions to my Quicken. I feel that most of the poor reviews are either operator errors or people with unrealistic expectations. I have had many accounts over the years with big national banks that were complete nightmares! Busey makes life easy
I’ve had none of the issue other have had. The only small thing was my address was not there when I first logged in, but it fixed itself within a few seconds. Transferring money between accounts is extremely easy now and the chat feature to answer questions makes everything easier as well. Definitely an upgrade from the last app. New apps will have some issues upon actual release, to think it’s going to be perfect would be naive.
New system and app is a step backwards. Latest fiasco with it is the bill pay. I submitted a bill on the 15th. I noticed today on the 23rd that it hasn’t gone through yet. After I wade through all of my old payees(the old system could hide them), I find it to say “Paid Feb 18” but if I tap into it, it says “Paid Feb 24”. Tomorrow is the 24th so we’ll see what happens. Under the old system it never took more than 4 days. Not only is there this inconsistency but reliably and timeliness is in question now. I also noticed another bill I submitted on the 15th that is now listed twice. One says “Paid Feb 19” and the other says “Resubmitted Feb 19”. Bill pay was awesome in the old version but now seems to be a joke. Lastly the interface of the new app is horrid. Too many taps to see what I want to see. It’s also a very busy interface. Somebody at Busey has a severe disconnect.
I have been at Busey for over 20 years. I have never had problems until the last year and a half or so. The mobile app never updates my account so I’m never quite sure how much money I have. It currently is stating that it is having issues updating for last 6 days. It has been such an issue that I keep getting in the hole with my account and getting charged over draft and return fees. My family says change banks but like I said I’ve been with Busey for so long. Can’t this be fixed please!
My wife and I had accounts at 2 other local banks in Champaign and were very unsatisfied with them. Just a list of issues we had with them. We decided to try Busey Bank on Springfield Ave. a few weeks ago and, so far, couldn’t be happier. The service has been amazing from day 1. Jason Heath and his associates he was training at the time, and the reps at the counter have all been wonderful. Glad we switched.
I set up bills to be paid regularly ( example dentist) but after paid the transactions only show check number. I waste a lot of my time ensuring that echecks are going to the right place. This was a step backward in the “update”. I also had to reset password by calling in and had to reset my external account due to the upgrade. Plus busey takes forever to come on line.
I have an iPhone 7, currently updated to its latest iOS at 15.8.2. With the Busey Bank app’s recent update, I can no longer access the app (message that I must update), nor update to its current version. It’s a great app, quick and accurate, and I had been using it almost daily to check transactions, pay bills. It does not need any more bells and whistles, and certainly not at the cost of locking out customers with older devices. I do NOT want to give up my iPhone 7. Please please please keep this app compatible with slightly older devices. This was a 5-star app until I lost access to it.
The new layout for the Busey app is not as simple and streamlined as the old one. Very disgusted that past payment information for payees did not transfer over to the new system. Hard to find details on the payees. Tired of Busey making changes. Last fall and now the first of this year. How many more times are they going to change things around? I think it’s time for me to make a change. To another bank!
My wife and I went from having a working app that we both could log into, to a new app that neither of us were able to login into. My wife called into support and was HUNG UP ON by the support person. Went into Busey and was able to get my wife logged on, but then our accounts did not show up!
The new app is good. I cannot get mobile deposit to work. Every time, the deposit is rejected even though all I for is clear in the picture and within the four corners. Also, I appreciated the automatic screen capture from the previous app. You have to click a few too many buttons to change the date a bill is sent with mobile pay. The calendar should be more accessible.
Can’t even log in at first “Oops, something went wrong on our end”. If you’re going to make a huge release for a new app, having a smooth-running app would be super. A few flaws in a new system are to be expected by this is ridiculous. I need to pay my bills and haven’t been able to since the original (better) app was shut down for days. Finally got signed in, my parents are both having problems with the app as well.
I have a check (one of those preprinted business checks that is enclosed in a self-envelope where you remove the perforated edges) App will not recognize it. Bug has existed for a while, as this is second time I face this issue. Do better. Check is from local establishment (Carle) and you are local bank. Previous time my only solution was to visit the ATM and it had no issues with it.
It’s very easy to make a payment but now I have to change an account number and there is nowhere to do that. Also how do I delete a payee? Also lost where I can add an account on my dashboard. Had a problem doing it last time but figured out what I did wrong.
The check deposit Subsystem is inferior to the one on the old app. The software behind the old app resolved well what in the photo was the check and what was just background. The new app just shows the photo you take with background, and so it is hard to see whether it is a good photo. Also, so far it has been impossible to sign up for e-bill, even following the instructions at the web site. I am not offered the e-bill option for any of my payees including ones where I used to do this and relied on it.
I like the flow of the app, the check deposit is perfect . I with the mobile app and the online version kept the bill reminders and notes like the old back of Edwardsville app and mobile did. I really miss the reminder feature
I am liking the app but wish the account number came up when paying a bill. Example, we have two Christie Clinic accounts and need to see the account number to make sure we are paying the right one.
Since the last update my phone says 6 days ago. My app is not updating the pending charges and taking them off my balance. It says I have more money than I do.
You do send a letter that there is a shortage in the escrow, but your app is unable to provide an option to pay funds to escrow, I contacted customer service and all they say there is not an option and to go into a branch. Not adding the option on the app or online or through your customer service is not very good in this day and age.
I have 3 accounts, and the app blends all the transactions together for all 3 accounts. Do not like that setup. Also, in my Bill Pay portion, I have several accounts with Carle for different members of my family. The new Bill Pay section does not show the account numbers, so now I have no idea which account is which. I do not see a “Log Out” option either, so I cannot be certain that I am closing the app when I switch out of it. Not very pleased with the look and feel overall.
So for a little bit there I was able to use Zelle through my mobile app, then one day the option just disappeared? I’ve redownloaded the app and still nothing and they won’t let me use the Zelle app because it’s supposed to be accessible through here so that’s not very convenient. Maybe it just needs to update again.
It is very difficult to search for a specific transaction. Neither the check number or the dollar amount ever return a successful search. This used to work very well on the Bank of Edwardsville app and online portal. Fixing this bug would be a big improvement. Thank You
Appalling lack of flexibility and definitely not designed with most online banking users in mind. Might be appropriate for people for whom banking is just a series of ATM debits but definitely not for anyone who has used a well-designed and robust banking app
The new version of this app is definitely a step backwards compared to the old app. It takes twice the amount of steps (button presses) just to get to the account and make a transfer. I assume they justified this by giving more “options” but man, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” definitely applies here. Tldr; they released a new app/version that is noticeably worse than their previously stellar app/version.
Like anything that’s new or considerably changed it takes some getting used to. Somewhere along the line it lost one of my payees and with it a payment I had attempted to make. It cost me a late fee and a lower credit score. Now there’s no bill pay at all!! To make any payments it is necessary to login to the website which can be tedious.
I don’t like the fact that bills that are payed by check do not deduct from checking account balance until they actually clear. Like most people who use online bill pay, I no longer keep a paper check register. I preferred the old app that deducted the check amount when the check was sent. The new app will result in overdrafts and I guess that’s a good thing for Busey but not for loyal customers like me.
They took away the best features. Why do I have to now spend 5 minutes to get into the app and click around when I only want to see the Balance on my accounts? Waste of time. Waste of an app. Time to look at moving my accounts to a different bank. Bring back the widget. As every company is looking at increasing user experience, leave it up to busey tomtake your money and make their user experience worse. Boooo
Busey bank by far has been the best banking institution I have ever had. I’m pleased with every employee,I have come across, and online baking transactions. Safe and hassle free. Especially with my fast paced life. Extremely pleased!
I’ve tried to install the current version and have installed the iTunes app in my computer and connecting the phone to that. This is per instructions seen on the net. When I try to update the app on my phone, I keep getting a message alluding I don’t have a new enough version. I have done everything that I know to do. I’ll shut the phone down one more time.
Busey recently bought my bank. This app is inferior to the app I was using. It shows a loan payment was made on 2/21. When I logged in today to schedule the March payment the CU the loan is with was missing from my list, so thankfully I logged into the CU website to retrieve my loan info, to reset up the payment and realize they don’t have the February payment. Guess I’m calling tomorrow. This is the last straw in a series of errors in Buddy’s end. Currently shopping for a new bank.
Should be able to tap anywhere on screen to capture instead of the text in middle of the screen. Better yet, app should have autofocus and auto capture to avoid tapping the screen at all.
Developer assumes everyone has a new computer and phone and doesn’t bother to update apps or the website for legacy operating systems that many of us keep because we are running softwares that we’ve paid for dozens of times over that are no longer available to own. Now we have to call every time we want information on our account - extremely and annoyingly inconvenient.
This app worked great for a few weeks on my iPad. Now it crashes right when it opens. Deleted and re loaded 3 times as recommended by support. Frustrating!
This new update causes all transactions to minimize at the Home Screen. I use my app to check transactions. It is not as easy to read or scroll through them. Now, I have to go further into the app to find my transactions when previously they were all there the moment I opened it.
I love Busey as a bank however they’re a bit behind with the times. They just started using Zelle and the app is so outdated I can not find my qr for my customers to scan to pay. Step into 2022.
Need a search feature for payees when you come from adding a new payee. It would also be nice if you could enter payment when adding payee or at least make them the focus when you come back to payee list.
Why did IT not create a friendlier version to the current system in place. This has been too many changes in such a short amount of time. I have family members that have left & I am next. Even writing this review it’s WHITE! I can’t see what is being typed!!! In today’s tech advancements there should have been a way to convert without customers NOT HAVING ACCESS!!! That’s insane. Very poor implementation!
Maybe don’t have your employees review your app before released and then on release day have awhile login issue. That being said the login is super fast and it looks nice.
The new app is a visual improvement over the old app. Layout is clean and logical. However, the iOS version is missing the widget which would quickly show balances. Please return that feature.
The app keeps rejecting the photos taken of checks to be deposited, no matter how it is oriented. It says that it can’t read the account number at the bottom of the check.
Updates aren’t helpful. Many functions of the previous app are no longer available. You’d better make sure you get paper statements AND hang on to them. It’ll be the only way to find what you’re looking for. And don’t bother starting a chat conversation; they won’t answer in a timely fashion. And don’t bother calling the help line; they will direct you to the chat option.
