Easy to navigate
CEFCU app is getting easier to navigate- I am older so this app stuff is new and foreign to me. I do want to compliment CEFCU’s customer support staff. I paid a bill twice which was my error - I panicked and felt like I was going to loose my stomach contents ! When I called CEFCU in high anxiety mode - she was so sweet and calming - reassured me it could be “fixed” I was not “stupid” and everything would be “alright”. That’s been over a year ago but it seems like yesterday - I still am so grateful to that young lady. I use the app frequently and I credit it to the CEFCU employee. Great support team whenever I get myself in a jam on my CEFCU app. Thank you!!!

Lacks quick one click features found in the basic of apps today. While impressive content, it lacks string interest development. For example, I check my used car balance regularly and never once did I get notified that rates are up or down, offers of referral gifts (my daughter was declined a used car loan over your lack breath of working with internet car business Slide, so she was told - so I paid off my loan in a month and am moving on), or and insurance options or affiliations. Privacy guidelines must be maintained, but Marcus, Ally and Capital One is eating up your hard earned saver and borrowers with interest. Before you dismiss this as soar grapes -I love you guys and you have been fantastic in so many ways (note I am on the Board of Family Community Church in SJ and a large church borrower). We have great history so please invest in online presence and those innovations others are talking about for the 25 to 50 year old group. God Bless

Outdated and slow
I have not been a fan of the app. I have another checking and savings which are my primary accounts through another bank, but I wanted a local brick and mortar bank for when I need to make cash deposits or withdrawals or just to have a local institution. So I do not use this account that often and don’t keep a lot of money in the account. However, the remote check deposit feature is not user friendly and often doesn’t work. I ended up having to deposit it in person and the teller told me they often discourage people from using it. My other banking institution has had that feature in place for awhile and it’s very seamless. Why offer this as a service if you don’t want people to use it? I also struggle linking my accounts; it’s never accurate and overall just not user friendly and challenging trying to transfer money between external accounts.

CEFCU Banking App
I like CEFCU the app because it’s a lot faster than having to go to the actual bank. It’s easy to use. But it gets annoying and frustrating with all the loading and waiting sometimes to get in. There’s also multiple times I’ve used the finger ID and it logs me in but just loads. I also wished CEFCU banking app would upload a lot faster. I use to have Heartland Bank and automatically it would take out and show up in my account within 15 minutes. Cefcu’s definitely doesn’t do that. It’s more helpful if it did had this concept! I also think it’s kind of annoying when it says pending after a sale when it does pop up. Like I’ve waiting long enough just take it out. But I do like the app and it’s fast and easy to use!

THE BEST MOBILE APP
I LOVE CEFCU’S Mobile App. I use it daily to check my balance, deposit checks, transfer from other accounts, receive money from outside sources etc. There is so much you can do online with your account on your phone and on your computer and on your tablet. Actually, on any mobile device you have. At this perilous time CEFCU REALLY STANDS BEHIND THEIR CUSTOMERS AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEM FOR ALL THEY DO AND HAVE DONE. I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL OF THE REPRESENTATIVES FOR WORKING DURING THIS TIME OF THE PANDEMIC TO HELP US, THEIR CLIENTS, WITH ALL OF OUR NEEDS. CEFCU app
The CEFCU app meets my needs plus. It does all that I need it to do. It seems to be better n more responsive than the banking app my son has to use. I am very happy with its ability to pay bills, track spending, get details of my various accounts etc. If I ever have a question or issue help seems to be but a phone call away. I can print out any reports etc. and it actually has more bells n whistles than what I use on a daily basis. I recently moved out of state and I plan on staying with CEFCU. So their great online banking app will be just what I need!

Transfers not always reflecting immediately
This app works for what it is. My only complaint when I transfer money from one account to another it doesn’t always reflect correctly. For example if i transfer $20 to my checking from my savings, sometimes it will reflect that in my balance and other times it will not. Another issue i have with this app is once that transfer shows, i can exit the app and open it again, and its like i never transferred the money. This is confusing and and sometimes causes me to transfer money more than once...please fix. The only way i am able to confirm that the money was actually transferred is by looking at the activity center, since it doesn’t always reflect in my balance right away.

Fix it!
Why do you not show the next payment due date on any loan information in the app? You show all of the details, including last payment made, but you don’t show next payment due. That’s very basic information that almost EVERY financial institution includes. Instead, you make me go look for my e-statement, pick the appropriate loan, pick the appropriate statement date, and then look to see if the statement recorded my last payment and when the next payment is due. Just put it in the account overview in the app! Isn’t that an incredibly simple programming exercise? I’ve asked about this before. Why wouldn’t you want your members to have multiple locations by which to see when they owe their next payment? That’s just smart business.

App and Website issues
When trying to change from paper to estatememts: the app and website will accept the email address i put in, go into a load screen, and then reload the page as if i haven’t changed anything. When trying to change my address under the “Update Contact Info” tab on the app and website: i enter all my information correctly (receive no errors for not filling in boxes correctly) and then get an error saying “Contact Information Error, your information update was not successful.” I’ve just moved to a new city, and it would be great to not have my credit and checking statements sent to the wrong address.

It’s worth it.
I have a banked with CEFCU for about two decades, 10 of those decades have been using their online services. I have had almost 0 complaints over those years. The complaints that I did have were very very minimal, and mostly my misunderstanding. Cefcu as a company are exceptionally reliable. Any problem that I have ever had has been solved within the hour speaking to a real representative. I have had a few loans through them, and all of them have been fair and very clear. I couldn’t imagine taking my money to a “real” bank.

Amazing
This app, CEFCU interface is simply put amazing. I’m able to pay my loans car payment as well as put money into and out of joint account and personal account. It is just a delight I don’t always have time to go to the bank to take money from my savings to my checking‘s. I work a lot, and I am just happy that this app gives me the ability to make those same in bank changes from the privacy of my own phone thank you, CEFCU

Need improvements
It a good app but needs a lot of improvements. First logging in I should not have to enter my login ID every-time. This app should remember who I am. Second. Unlike other financial apps there should be a way to quickly verify what checks, deposits, or other withdrawals have been verified they went through the bank. I would like to see a “check box” or some other way to verify just which deposit or withdraw I can register to show which is done and not. But overall rather pleased with the updates

Very satisfied Customer
For the last 20 years that we’ve been banking with CEFCU, we have experienced nothing but excellent service from the tellers to the loan officers up to the branch managers. We had our first home refinanced with them and we are very well taken care of. Also, we love that they have mobile banking, now that we have kids who make their own money, it’s easy for them to deposit their own paychecks using the mobile app! Thanks Cefcu!

Banking app
I do not like your guys app at all. I am someone who always using app to keep track of my money and transactions but your guys app does not show the exact amount of money I have instead it shows what I had before making purchases until it gets cleared I think you guys need to fix this especially if it’s not a restaurant waiting on tip to clear that should be only exception. So you should make it to where it shows you exactly what you have after purchasing an item. Also my card gets declined at Valero gas station all the time and will go to different gas station after and it works. Bank of American online banking app is great. Thanks for your time

Just don’t…
The CEFCU online banking app does not keep up with a real time balance for accounts. It’s the most annoying experience I’ve ever had, especially coming from a different credit union in a different state that kept an accurate balance down to the minute of purchase. No bank should be holding purchases in pending for days and not keeping up with a correct working balance in this day and age. Not to mention the mobile deposit app…. 50% of the time it has an error and take two or three shots to deposit a check. And, please note, I’ve only been using this bank and app for about a month and significantly regretting changing banks.

I do all my banking online since we live out of state. I am able to complete all my banking needs without any problems. I can keep track of problems, pay MasterCard and our house payment very easily. Because of the online app, I don’t have to change banks. Easy to use. Accurate. Couldn’t do without it. Recently the accounts keep changing up and down on their own.

Technology could be better
The app works, but lacks basic banking functionality. For example, when showing available account balance it should automatically subtract pending transactions. The mobile deposit could be better, when depositing a check, make it simple and ask which account I want to deposit into and the amount... again, overall the app works. And last (not directly related to this app) Apple Pay has issues with CEFCU. I’ve abandoned using my iWatch with my CEFCU cards because it fails majority of the time and I don’t have that issue with other banks. There is just a lot of room for improvement and user experience.

Automatic category tools contain flaws
The ‘online description’ is often mislabeled when the transactions go through. I have had many transactions labeled as the transaction listed right below it and I have to change it to the right one typically by typing the ‘statement description’ in. This causes confusion when just glancing at your banking without clicking on individual transactions to double check that they really are for what it says they are. This error has happened with both credits and debits. I would prefer it uses the statement description for accuracy and kept the option to change the label yourself.

Fraud alert
Setting fraud alert at high levels without advising the customer is an embarrassing practice. My credit card is constantly blocked for what is called suspicious activity when I am out and about in my community I am constantly calling fraud department to advise them of attempts I make to purchase items. I have been with Cefcu for almost a decade I would give you 5 star but unable to due to your suspicious fraud policy that is flawed. At least when it comes to me.

Good but not yet great
For those banking with CEFCU, this app is solid and likely does much of what you want to do to manage your accounts. My primary usage is for checking status of an auto loan and managing a savings account. The features I’d want to see added are too long to list. Based on my personal banking experience, the gold standard for banking apps are AMEX and Discover Card. The CEFCU app has a long way to go but is surprisingly much better than some big bank apps. Good work, CEFCU.

A good banking app
The app is good. I usually do not have problems with it. It is great at reminding you when the app is going to be down for maintenance, which is convenient for people who monitor their bank accounts often. The app also makes it very easy to see all accounts I am listed under and makes it easy to transfer money between all accounts.

Server is always down
I do not live anywhere close to any CEFCU. All my banking is remote. Any time I have ever called a customer service rep I have a 50/50 shot of a rude customer care rep. If I try to do anything on the computer/app the server is down and I can not touch my account. Who ever your IT Company is fire them. I work in it for the military and I would be fired in a heartbeat if our server was down as much as CEFCU’s servers are down. Also any time you transfer any money it takes a week to see it reflected on your account. Heck even a Starbucks gift card is more advanced then CEFCU. It’s embarrassing to be a bank this size and have such horrible issues

Convenient
The mobile banking app makes it convenient to deposit checks and saves me a trip to the bank. I also set up automatic payments and transfers between my accounts and check my balance. The app helps me stay on top of my finances. Being able to do most things on the go, by myself, makes life easier and safer with less points of contact and exposure.

CEFCU App Review
The Mobile Banking app is incredibly useful for what it does. I enjoy being able to transfer funds, check my accounts, and ask questions extremely fast. My only complaint is the inability to cash checks through the app. Many other banks allow their app users to take a picture of a check to cash it, and I think that function would turn the CEFCU app into the perfect banking app.

Great but one thing...
Great app! Love that I can access my accounts easily and I can make mobile deposits. However, I’m not sure if it’s the same with other banking apps but I do wish I can have the ability to make mobile deposits into my savings account instead of JUST the checking out. Its just a hassle to make that extra step to transfer my money from checking to saving after my check has been cleared.

Keeps saying bad connection
Every time I try to get on my app on this phone (iphone6) it tells me to check the network and connection or check to see if your phone is in airplane mode I’ve checked everything I’ve deleted the app redownloaded tried that several times and keeps coming back to the same results... I’ve even rebooted my phone several times. I can’t keep track of my account from my phone or be able to check the transactions at the touch of a finger why should I stay with cefcu if you guys can’t get your apps properly in order. If you can’t keep an app up and running why should I trust them with my account??

As bad as they come
I thought that first financial was the worst bank to deal with but CEFCU is by far the worst. Every hood review is either a bot or someone that works for the company because there is no way. I’ve had a car loan for 3 months with them & EVERY month it gets harder to contact these people or use the app they swear works(does not). I want to set up auto pay but apparently they can’t link to my bank but can take payments from my bank over the phone. After my year I am definitely refinancing to a different institution; I do not want these people to have my hard earned money.

Cefcu Review
I’ve probably had an account at Cefcu for years, since I was in high school. But I only started using the app on this version. The first go at it was hard and blocky and slow. But now I love it, it’s fluid and I can easily find what I need. I think the only thing I’d like is a preview screen just to check a balance on an account before you have to log in. But of course log in required to do anything with it

Customer since 1999
I have been a long-time customer since before there was an app and the credit union is by far the best. The only thing I wish the app could do that it doesn’t right now is allow me to edit my bill pay and a clear fashion. There is no edit button or delete button. Other than that, I happily bank from Washington State using ATMs and this app.

Great website, but…
On the activity for the checking account, checks need to be identified by the payee info instead of just saying check. When I suggest this, I’m told the info is available when you access the details. Ok, thanks for this. But I ask, why? Why are all the extra steps required when simply putting who I wrote the check to on the main line. Other than this, it’s pretty great.

Buggy, and confusing
So the first buggy thing is that this app will not register my device. I have been plugging in secure codes and selecting “register device” for two months now. Now as someone who works in finance, my employer uses the same app and online banking software for our members, and while it’s easy to navigate, the way transactions post and display can be weird and confusing for myself (CEFCU) and my customers (MY WORK) Not a dealbreaker, just annoying.

Not AHappy Camper
It takes days to see charges in addition to charges also taking if days! One or the other still would not be as well as all other banks who show both but your site does not show available balance so we have a better clue nor can we minus the pending and keep track so we must write things down and yes our money. Our account and our responsibility but in this day and age there is no reason charges are not listed as EVERY OTHER BANK DOES! The biggest reason is you make it racy to accidentally overdraft by simply forget one order or such.

Takes forever to load accounts
Loading accounts takes longer now. Sometimes I have to exit app and go back in because it fails to load. iPhone 7 Plus. The developer updated the app and now the load time is much better. I increased it from two stars to stars Because of their quick response and the app running faster.

You can see all your accounts plus transaction history, transfer between accounts, and pay your credit card bill quickly and easily. You can also use the app to deposit checks. One of the most user-friendly apps that I have used.

Good app. A few Bugs
I noticed the Touch ID login tends not to pop up. Have to manually select password from iCloud Keychain. Also, after taking pictures of my check and hitting deposit in mobile deposits. It usually fails the first time. I just submit it again without re taking the pictures and it works 99%. Of the time. Minus one star for each of these issues. Other than that. Laid out well for my usage. If these issues are resolved. Will bump up to 5.

Very good; can be great
Good; can be much better. I recommend allowing “push notifications” to ALERT members when CHECKING accounts go below a certain amount ($5, $50, $500, etc.). This would encourage people to continually stay on-top of their balances; or even alert them if something (unexpected) came through. Many other banks offer this feature on their apps. CEFCU has great app but there is always room for improvement.

Love My Cefcu App
I never leave home without it. I do all my banking sitting at home: That's deposits, transfers within and outside with my other bank, make transactions with my different accounts within Cefcu... I have been with Cefcu for over 20yrs but just discovering the miracles of the "app" thing within the last few years and I think I've died and gone to "Bank Heaven". ❤️❤️💰💰😘😘

CEFCU Online Banking
Love it! But when doing my bills it would be super helpful to have a pending balance as each bill is entered...yes, there is a total for the bills being processed and I use that to subtract from my balance...but...maybe even a calculator that can be used for this purpose would make it more user friendly.

Convenient to use everyday
I’ve been using this app since I opened my account and it has been a friendly user app which I can check my expenses day to day, transfer funds anytime and pay my credit card anywhere I am. But please make it updated every transaction I make to monitor efficiently how much do I still have left in my account

Good but need a little tweak
I love the app but I also use Associated Bank because I handle the accounts for my Aunt. Their mobile deposit will automatically take the photo of each side once you have it in range. It makes for a quick and smooth operation. CEFCU has definitely come a long way and I do think your app is great and very functional for all my needs.

Love it
I appreciate the ability to routinely monitor my accounts to look for any potential fraud. Also like the ability to transfer funds to and from different accounts or mobile check deposits. Living in the country with a 20 mile drive to nearest branch or ATM, this is a huge time (and gas) saver!

Okay app
Lots of content; good home interface. The autofill feature for description and category of transactions is absolutely hopeless. Clearly there is no learning curve built into the algorithms, as I constantly have to correct the same repeated transactions over and over again. Someone needs to develop a budget and IT staffing to correct this or just drop it altogether.

It ain’t fancy but it works
I can see my accounts. I can make changes. Really what else am I supposed to ask for here? I’d give it a more in-depth review but since it has access to my money, I’m worried that if I say anything negative about it…The App will “lose my Direct deposit”… You can’t trust technology these days

This app is really handy! You can check your accounts from anywhere, see your pending transactions, transfer money from one account to another and it’s easy to use. Easy to navigate! Easy to understand. And I always know how much is in my accounts!

This a very useful and well laid out mobile app that allows you to do your banking most conveniently. The interface is clear and not cluttered, and very intuitive to use. It works reliably and fast. It is everything to be expected from a mobile app.

I love that I can bank from my phone and keep track of my accounts, including my mortgage. CEFCU makes it very easy to find the information I am looking for. The only thing I would change, add pdfs of the loan/mortgage paperwork in addition to statements. Otherwise, it is great!!!!

Easy to get on and process each thing I have from regular account to loans to credit cards! Find other companies on internet are very hard to find out info that you need! I am older so am not computer literate but this app I didn’t my need to be !!!

Easy to use
I wish there was a function for factoring in checks that have been written but not cashed yet. The developer contacted me about my idea here, clearly minunderstanding my point. There could be a function built into the app so the USER could enter in details about a check so that could be reflected in the account total. The developer told me to use a check register for that. Lol for real, sis?

Sending $
The app is ok. I just don’t like that it doesn’t have Zelle. Sending money to family/friends is a hassle. I don’t feel comfortable asking people for their routing or account numbers. It’s easier to ask for emai/phone. When sending money, it makes you go thru all these loops, and the recipient doesn’t receive the $$ until days later. Which is why I gave it 3 stars.
