App works great. It is a little strange that it asked if I wanted to enroll my fingerprint, but they used my FaceID. After enrolling my FaceID, it only has an option for signing in with TouchID, which still uses my FaceID. FYI, I’m on an iPhone 13 which doesn’t have TouchID as an option anymore.
This app is by far one of the worst apps I have to deal with when it comes to finances, if work didn’t force us to use this service I would get rid of it entirely. Such a bad experience with this app that I cringe when I think about how I have to deal with it. The app never gets the password right or something clicks and it won’t take my password then after three attempts I’m locked out, decent enough of a security feature I guess except that when I do the forgot password or the app tells me it’ll send me instructions on unlocking the account, I never get an email. Then I get to wait on the phone for someone to assist me to unlock it again. I like the people I work with over the phone, they usually get it worked out pretty quick, but the app is nothing I want to work with.
I hope the right people can see this review and fix the problem! For the last several months, this app has had problems with Face ID. When I open the app, it’ll show that it is looking for my face, it will read it successfully, but then it will give me an error, saying it was unable to read my face. Then, because it doesn’t use saved passwords, I have to login to my passwords on my phone on a separate app search the password and then copy and paste it. I have tried deleting the app several times, and re-downloading it and any other troubleshooting steps to try and fix the problem but it still doesn’t fix it! It’s just very annoying and frustrating that I have to go through all these loopholes just to get onto the app, please help.
I don’t know how this app made it past quality control. It is full of bugs, and login is a nightmare. Face ID never works, the app has annoying pop ups about changing your password, accepting terms and conditions, and entering answer to secret question - every single login. Then it auto logs you out after just a minute. Only the most basic functionality; you can’t even request a balance refund. Rude customer service agents. A prime example of big bank corruption at taxpayer expense and a slap in the face to all who serve.
Don’t waste your time! If you proceed, plan an hour plus. The app does not allow you to register your corporate card. This must be done on the main website. Once registered, the app would not load the pages needed to access the app. Each app data entry page I had to call for assistance. Getting through the robot assistance for a human was time consuming. Overall, I deleted the app. Do not let the one star fool you. The review would not allow a zero star rating.
I absolutely love the secondary verification tool. The app is amazing for this is us who stay on TDY. Great improvements. Recommend having the capability to print current charges when we need the customer to correct charges.
How does this have an average rating of 4.8 stars?! Log in is terribly slow and clunky with faceID. Recent activity tab almost never loads, there is generally an error. Then there’s the general issue the app provides no other useful functionality (can’t make a payment, cannot change password, cannot easily view recent transactions, the list goes on…). Only positive is you can check your pin in the app.
I travel a lot. I don’t always have access to a laptop so it’s nice to have the app on my phone and be able to pay through the app. it’s super convenient!
Excited to see an app that makes it convenient to see my statement. But I get errors when trying to pull statements nor transactions (my co-workers also have the same issues). Also, I would like to be able to withdraw if I have credit on my account. What’s the point of the app if I can’t really do anything on it?
Until the last update, I could see recent transactions. Now it takes you to a screen that tells you to click for recent transactions but it only takes you to statements so it seems you now have to wait for a statement to close to see the transactions which is ridiculous. I hope they fix the last fix soon.
App loaded fine, when I entered my user name and password I watched the Apple spinning wheel for a minute or 2 before timing out. After 2 subsequent attempts it locked my account. Had to call Citi, they reset my password attempts without resetting the password and I then got in with no problem through the Citi Manager web portal using my laptop. Will delete the App from my phone and move on, life’s too short!
Login is a horror, now. Even when it works, and error message that is wrong pops up. Now, you can make it go away by selecting to view something at the bottom of the screen like statements, but that is clearly a work around and is laughable. The charges now are taking forever to hit the books! This is likely not the app.
The main feature this app is missing is a way to issue refunds or transfer distributions to another (personal) account. Frustrating to say the least. But if you just want to check spending, it works.
The app has some sort of error that causes my phone to get very hot very quickly and they haven’t fixed it after years of reporting it. The app is only useful for checking your balance and paying it, it is missing basically every other management function. There’s no good reason for the app to even exist in its current state.
After updating to the latest iOS version on my iPhone 15 Pro I keep getting a message when I open the CitiManager app that says my phone is jailbroken and the app force closes. I know my iPhone is not jailbroken and confirmed this by checking my device. Others have experienced this issue and say the app developers need to update their app. HELP please!
Took 15 mins to change password on the app bc the message isn’t readable on the iPhone 13 Pro Max screen unless you partially close the app window. Can’t even log in after changing the password. The only functional way to see account activity is on the website don’t waste your time with this app
The app does not allow integration with password manager and assumes everyone uses a single password for everything. So killed the app and will use the imbedded browser with my password manager instead. Will try in another year but for now not worth any improvements an app might make for layout!!!
Really frustrated with this company. Never understood why the US Gov went with them to handle all accounts pertaining to travel. Just trying to setup an online acct and system won’t verify me. Called customer service and entered my card number 3xs, got transferred twice and still unable to access my account online. This company is a joke.
I have so many troubles with this app. It never loads any of the pages. It continues to load but never dies anything. It freezes constantly and crashes. Sometimes I’ll have to open the app line 20 times for it to do anything at all
Frequently crashes and does not properly load recent activity. I receive notifications but can not open the recent activity tab to see the transaction. This is the most important feature of the app and it does not work. Complete garbage!
I cannot activate my card using the app so I called the telephone number. I go back to the app and now I new to log in. With what sign on info when creating a new account is not an option. Terrible! I guess I can delete it because I won’t be using the app at all.
This app behaves differently for my company than for others thus making the app total garbage. Face ID doesn’t work, logging on takes long because of loading issues and two factor authentication might as well be 8 factor. This app is TRASH.
App is great when it works. Recently I can never get it to login. It’s always, “can’t verify face login” then when you put in the login information “we are experiencing issues at the moment, try again later”. So frustrating.
Cards are always blocked at random due to CitiBank “fraud protection”- even for legitimate purchases for official travel. No callback from Fraud Department or Quality Assurance when requested. No more than 1 refund request per one week period. Very annoying transaction listing.
Can't make payments. The operator suggested I use the website because the app is so unreliable. Citi's one of the biggest banks in the world yet can't even manage to make a mobile app that works. Pathetic. Like the rep said, use the app or phone system because the app is a dismal failure.
It’s embarrassing to have big corporates choosing you as financial institution and your app lack of basis tools like travel notification…etc . It’s been over 6 months and this crappy app isn’t displaying current transactions. Fix it ASAP
Terrible app. Before updating was able to log into my account and everything. After the update I can’t even log in anymore. The app just says info not found in our records
Face ID doesn’t work!! Requires re-Authentication with secret questions. Refer activity tab times out with “something went wrong” Why do you have a mobile app if one needs to go and access the website to get info?
Got issued a new card after the other one expired, somehow the new card isn’t linked to my old account, can’t register the new one because my account already exists…..
Not usable on an iPad with a keyboard attached, as the app does not support landscape orientation. I would expect an app targeted to business customers be able to support how a business person will use their device.
So annoying that I only have an option to use Touch ID and the newer iPhones don’t have that capability! If I didn’t have to use this app for work I sure wouldn’t 😡 get with the times! The regular Citibank app works great!
