Really nice app exclusive discounts and shipping options

I really enjoyed the shopping experience on this app. It has app exclusive coupon codes and an option to ship to store for free. The pictures are vibrant, the search bar works well, and it’s well organized. Very similar to the mobile website. Kinda wish I didn’t have to download it in order to get the free ship to store option, but I’m glad I had the option at all. I wish my women’s store apps worked as nicely as this one.

Inability to apply Awards Certificate using Apple Pay

After multiple attempts to pay and use my reward certificate, keep greeting prompt stating I had an invalid gift card. Keep in mind I had not selected nor was attempting to use a gift card. As stated earlier, tried to get past this on multiple attempts and even uploaded a second card thinking it was somehow not reading my card on file correctly. This didn’t work either. Finally, I clicked the back button to restart. I noticed that my awards amount was accurately applied in the summary so this time I decided to use the Apple pay option. I clicked through and as the transaction is completing, it removes the awards amount and charges the full price for the item. Good part is that I was finally able to complete my purchase. Bad part is that I had to go through this ordeal to complete what should have been a pretty routine e-commerce transaction. Not a good experience on either pay options.

Great shopping, great selection. Would love some extra features

Great selection of styles, being a larger guy they don’t always have exactly what I’m looking for but I’m always able to find something which is way more than I could say with any other store. Only things that stand out to me that I wish they could add would be a wishlist for one. sometimes I’m browsing and want to save something for my next paycheck, maybe a “style picker” that I’ve seen on other apps that lets you plug in a particular style and it shows you options, small quality of life things like that. Other than that keep up the great work! Update: looks like there is a wishlist on the side there but, god knows I have no idea how to add stuff to it. There’s no button anywhere while shopping that lets me add to it.

One of the worst apps

I don’t know how long I’ve had the app on my iPhone, but yesterday was the first time I decided to use it, and it was ridiculously glitchy. When I wanted to type in my email address, before I could finish, the app would refresh and erase what I had already typed. So I finally decided to make my purchase as a guest, and had trouble getting to pages because of the constant refreshing. So, finally got my order and somehow made it through the checkout process with more problems than it’s worth, then it hung up on the actual purchase process. I went back into the app and it showed my items still in the cart. So I gave up and went to my computer to make the purchase. They really need to overhaul the complete app, I don’t understand how so many people can give this app 5 stars when it’s so problematic.

Weird cart glitch mars an otherwise serviceable app.

The app itself is decent. However, it’s missing a “wish list” section to save things. Also, there’s a very weird glitch in the Cart section that stops you from using it as a pseudo-wish list. If you close the app and come back later, it will add another copy of the same item to the cart. It doesn’t increment the items by one, but adds another, identical copy of the item(s) to the end of your list. Take care you don’t accidentally order two of something when you want one (although buying in twos is a good idea, given the discounts).

App is not that helpful

I like this store but this app makes it almost impossible to order anything. Reward points have never been updated it always says 0. It doesn’t allow me to use my card, and entering coupon codes almost always end up in an error. I missed out on several platinum special events due to last minute shopping that wouldn’t go through.

What an embarrassment

This app is complete crap. Constantly glitches and freezes, impossible to actually shop and browse with this app. I wanted to buy a few pairs of Polo shorts and a few Lacoste and Polo shirts. By the time you get to the second page of results the app has already messed up, I couldn’t even get 2 items in the cart before it became useless. This experience has happened almost every time I’ve tried to shop with this app. Guess I’ll just buy direct from the manufacturers website. It’s not like any of the so called “DXL exclusives” are worth the hassle and frustration of trying to use this 1/2 way developed app.

Worthless app

This app is the worst. It doesn’t do anything right. It doesn’t show award points, can’t place an order, just ridiculous. I have been told by a manager that they are aware of the problems. If it can’t be fixed, you should just shut it now at people won’t get discouraged about the app. Good clothes terrible app Jeff E.

App is glitchy!

While I love the selection of clothing and the fact that they have a variety of items for the plus-sized man of all shapes, making your purchases is kind of difficult via the application. When I’ve selected my items and I’m ready to checkout, I keep getting an error that tells me that they don’t deliver to my country. I’m putting in my address and it’s being verified, but it’s still giving me the error. It seems to happen each time... It’s slightly inconveniencing. Hopefully, that’s something that can be resolved in the future.

Wow. Fix your app.

Just tried to order $300 through the app. 1. The app decided that my closest store is 35 miles away and trying to change it in settings causes the app to crash. Every time. 2. When trying for in store pick up, I have to click on each color separately and then manually change the store. Every. Time. Your app can obviously scrape the availability data. Why not “turn off” unavailable color and size combinations based on the store pick up location? Simple UI fixes. 3. My order processed just enough to charge my card. The order did NOT process the actual completion of sale. So they have my money but I have no clothes coming. And getting my money back is turning into a nightmare for both me and the poor customer service person I have on the phone. This is quite frankly an unacceptable amount of incompetence for a modern app.

Disappointing, below average app

It lacks functionality common to most other shopping apps. For instance, you can’t click on the available colors to see what an item looks like in those colors. Also not built for iPads - you are stuck using it in portrait mode. The rewards tab is apparently just not enabled - it never shows anything. Unfortunately it is much easier to shop big & tall selections at other, standard retailers, like Macy’s, because their apps are easier to use and have more functionality.

Dxl review

Not only is the app poorly designed the on line customer service quality is worse. Actually, this customer service is incorrectly named…… it’s definition would be more accurately named “ customer dis-service “ The app trouble I had was the app would not let me like or assign items to my cart. I used the on line alleged customer service and was recommended by the online system to delete and re-install the app. Did that solve the problem ……….. NO ! The same identical issues occurred. Find a better and more reliable retailer.

App crashes when making an account

I downloaded the app on 19 March 2022. I tried to create an account but the app crashes. I can make it to the field where it asks to input birth month. When I start to scroll to my birth month the screen turns completely whit and nothing works. I have to close the app and restart. I did this numerous times and cannot get past that portion. Please fix the create an account section and I would upgrade my stars.

Frustrating app

I find that it takes three or four times longer to use this app and most shopping site. I find myself entering the same information over and over, and frustratingly, it does not except the auto fill information. I had trouble with my password, trouble with my credit card entering, etc., all the fault of the programming of the app only. After repeatedly entering the information correctly again and again, it finally processed my order

Great products

Terrible App. I’ve always ordered online without the App until now. This app is buggy for instance, rejected my address as being in country you cannot ship too, the address is in Oklahoma. I went to my address list and a second identical address was listed, I selected it and the order was placed. I went through the entire shopping process three times and was shown different pants each time. Finally found what I was looking for, selected them and order was placed. Please debug the app ordering at the website is much easier.

Wonky

App won’t take my email or credit card sometimes. When you try to chat that function doesn’t work. Tried to order and it wouldn’t take my card. Called up to order and they told me item was out of stock but app said they had it.

DXL App

I originally downloaded the app because I received an email stating if I used the app there would be 30% off a $100. Well I waited ONE day and poof went the offer. I still ordered from the app but found it very annoying. When you click on the Team Shop it doesn’t take you there. I eventually got to it and selected Mets and the picture never changed. Sure hope I don’t get an Arizona Diamondbacks shirt for a Father’s Day gift!

What was!

Been buying here for years. Mostly in a local store, but that store closed. So now at the mercy of a crap app. Slow, sluggish, takes too much time to find very little information available to me. Can’t even access my account except for address changes. Then I get 4 emails telling me that they shipped my order. No when it will arrive, each item is on each email. Again no way to know what is where and when I will see it. Guys fix it!

Rotation on iPad Pro

I love the clothes at DXL. I have one right down the street. I was told to download the app by the store clerk, this way I’d be notified of discounts and extras. However, the app does not rotate correctly while using it on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch second generation. Maybe this could be corrected with a future update. It’s much easier to use with my Apple Keyboard in a landscape mode.

Great Company

Have been a DXL customer for years. I’ve always been difficult to fit being a big man but I have had great success either in store or online. Great quality and service equals a satisfied customer.

One of the worst apps ever

I would assume the whole point of this app is to make it easier for people to give the Destination XL company money in exchange for products that they offer. It’s pathetic performance prevents you from doing that. The filters FAIL to do ANYTHING. Sadly, the DXL company has been in a nosedive for the past ten or so years, and this holiday season seems to show it failing more than ever. We are less than a week from Black Friday, and the app is a disgrace to retailers everywhere.

Underwhelmed...

Like others I find this app to be woefully inadequate. One of most agonizingly missing features is the ability to see order status, see previous orders and use Apple Pay... Color options are not rendered is a common complaint and I agree that this is a much needed feature. The search engine also needs more filter options... The checkout process has failed with no reason given... I have had to remove items from my cart until it worked...

The previous versions of this app worked fine until you updated, and now it is impossible for a non sighted person to use this app since it doesn’t work with VoiceOver anymore

App is a waste of time

App on iPhone or iPad does not facilitate purchases. In my case, to facilitate a purchase I had to log in from a web browser so the purchase could be conducted. No complaints involving the browser usage but why do you allow customers to think the mobile platform is able to conduct purchases when it clearly can not. Huge waste of time as I’d rather you simply be upfront with the functionality.

Review

You should look into how long a person can have something in your cart. Other sites allow you to build for weeks on end and yours is like 1 hour then they all get removed.

Reward not working

I just ordered 3 t shirts and I tried to use my 15 dollar reward that expires in July and I couldn’t. The app kept saying the payment didn’t go thru. I tried 3 different credit cards and I know I entered the info right. I even tried ordering from the website not the app. I couldn’t get the reward to work either. Once I removed the reward of course it took my payment. This is ridiculous that I spent over $400 last month in store and earned a reward but I can’t use it!!

Too many bugs

You can’t even begin to use the app because of all the bugs. The most annoying one is clicking on an item for further inspection and then it never loads and freezes your phone. I’m using the 14 pro max so maybe the app hasn’t caught up to the phone yet but it’s making the buying process painstakingly impossible. In store they’re always on point too, good sales people bad engineers :/

Fix color options

The app has some issues. Its easier & faster than the site but when you choose a color it doesn’t show you the color. Also when i want what type of clothes I should choose it should be on the top left tab not the bottom. Had me confused because i’m used to the actual website.

Needs work still

The store is good but the app is garbage. Using rewards/coupons never works, can’t remove stuff from cart, app freezes all the time and prices are different than in store. I stopped using the app over a year ago and tried again today, was hoping it had been fixed but nope, same problems.

App needs some fine tuning

Signed in on mobile after putting some item in cart on PC. I didn’t finish order cause something come up, went back and items were not in cart and couldn’t pull up Order History. Logged out and back in still said no order history found! Went back to PC and everything popped back up! Fix app and I may update star rating

Slow loading with blank pages

This app is basically a web browser in an app. The pages load very slowly, and flicker when they do load. The For You page is entirely white. The order history will say “No orders found” and then 5 seconds later load orders. Those orders will never load. There are no loading indicators. Tapping the “tabs” icons does not scroll to the top. This is how you can tell it is a faked app. The quality shows it, too. If a company does not care enough to invest in a quality app and experience, just delete the app and use the web. My internet is 630mbps down, 42mbps up. More than enough for screens with a little bit of text and a couple of images.

Cumbersome

This app does not offer a fluid shopping experience. You choose a category to shop, the screen it takes you to is blank, except for the option to view all products. Click on that and you get EVERY product available, with no semblance of order to it (does not list, say, tshirts at the top if that’s what you’re looking for). I like the clothes, but this app needs work.

I don’t see how this app has such a good rating. It NEVER works, always giving error messages. It’s also clunky. I always have to go to the site to try to buy anything. I hate it

CRAP APP

This App is Crap. There is no way do edit or delete shipping addresses. Twice the app sent my order to address from 6 years ago. If you never mover, ever you’ll be fine. Or if when you move you change your identity and create a new account and forfeit your reward points you’ll be fine. To avoid being reported for profanity I will avoid reflecting my true level of dissatisfaction. They overcharge me because no one else sells clothes in my size.

App is sooo bad

It never has a consistent check out process. 9/10 times I have to call customer service to get the right amount charged on my card. I’ve tried to get in touch with management and even offer my help for free to fix the app; but can’t get a response to that either. I love the company and the company’s customer loyalty program; but the technology is far below sub par in an era with plentiful technology resources. There’s no reason it needs to be this incapable.

App barely works

App Doesn’t Work For Purchases

I tried to buy clothes multiple times using app and the shopping bag/cart function kept giving me an error as soon as I opened up the page to check out. This is not a useful app.

Broken

I’ve looked up the same 2 shirts about 50 times , added them to my cart 50 times , tried to check out 50 times and every time the app crashes as well as it no longer recognizes my log in . It’s literally a shopping app that can’t make purchases .

DXL App Update Obsolete

This app use to be great. You would be able to order things and pick up at the local DXL shop. Now you can’t even add items to your cart. The add button stays gray and doesn’t even work. I have deleted and re-installed the app multiple times but nothing has worked. This is a complete failure for customers on a once great brand and company.

This app is hard to navigate. Pictures are of poor quality and it’s hard to make out products details even when you zoom in on the product. I hope someone adjustments will be made to make it easier to use this app. TY

Needs vast improvements

Products are not segmented by type. When I searched for jeans I got a list which included shirts, belts, socks, jeans and shoes. When I selected product to buy and put it in my basket the App returned me to the top of page instead of where I left off. Sure is difficult to navigate and find what you want. Check out us super easy and fast.

Password reset/ website

Tried 2x never got email to reset had to check out as a guest. Website is not shopper friendly ...filters could be better Brand - size- color would be more helpful I don’t want to scroll through everything, I could have driven the 35 minutes to my NEAREST store and a much better experience!

The selection in clothes are okay not great but typically if you go to the actual websites from the venders they have deals and discounts on the items you want for cheaper and saves you more money. App is very glitchy and also kicks me out of my account and my cart goes away. Luckily for me I have a dxl in my city, but options are very very much bland.

Fix it

Please fix the barcode scanner. The red laser needs to come back because it hardly ever scans anything without it. Also it doesn’t always recognize the upc when the barcode is scanned
