I haven’t received notifications through the app. I only receive it as a text message because the number is linked to the account. It would be nice if I could receive push notifications, because there’s more then one person in charge of the system. It’s a little frustrating that I’m using storage space for this app, but it won’t send me an alert about continuous water flow. 🤦🏻♀️ I thought it was because my notifications were off, but I couldn’t find it as a notification option anywhere.
**Update**. App stopped working because of a problem with my WiFi. WiFi has been fixed & app now works great - it totally meets my needs. Changing rating from 1 to 4 (would be 5 if not for the difficulty setting up). **Original** Had to contact my own internet system tech company to get WiFi manager set up. (Dealer tried but could not get WiFi to connect.). WiFi manager worked great for a couple of weeks & hasn’t worked since. Have called & emailed manufacturer - no tech support.
Not completely useless but for our water softener it shows very little usable info. Also usage off by a factor of ten and they have done nothing to fix it. App support is non existent. Might have been impressive 25 years ago but just assume you are not going to have an app to use and you will be happy.
Incorrect information shown a lot. No alerts about low salt, etc. Functionality is poor i.e. you’re unable to change settings on the system. The biggest concern is that each time I connect my device to the Wi-Fi and this app my internet starts acting very funky. I’m unable to open webpages at times and cannot root cause the problem. I’m also unable to find the privacy policy or data security information. I’m disconnecting from device and deleting app indefinitely.
I have had no problems using this app. Gave me an alert that I had water running in the house, turns out I forgot to shut of the garden hose all the way. Ease report quickly tells me everything I need to know like manufacturing information, recharge status. Always get a quick answer through customer support.
This app I used to look at my water usuage. I brought from Angel water through Costco. One of the worst service people, even though my system is under warranty they don’t care and charge me for every visit even though problem is with unit. App every day loses connectivity if asked they say it’s ecowater problem and need to contact them but they don’t have solution for alerts Iam receiving and said it will be fixed with App upgrade and that never happened from last 6 months.
After initial installation, the dashboard was working in real time. After a half day of operating, the dashboard is frozen. It does not update in real time and has not in an entire day. I was happy at first but no longer. Even the web version behaves the same. Major bug in my opinion, and the system is connected to WiFi, as it shows online, and the hourly water usage appears to be updating, not the Gallons Used, Gallons Daily Average, Gallons Available. Little value to this app since I have to go to the unit to get key metrics.
The device periodically forgets the Wi-Fi network. It has to be set up again on Wi-Fi every few months. It never notifies you that it has dropped off the Wi-Fi network. That means the device can no longer send you alerts. My Wi-Fi signal is extremely strong in the area that the device is placed in. If I had known the app was this unreliable, I would have looked for a different vendor to take care of my water softening needs.
Currently the web page on a browser has more information and functionality than the app. Hopefully the app will catch up and capture more information and settings that the unit can provide
Overall meets my expectations with one exception. Many screens have text that shows as black on black when in dark mode. Have to switch to light mode to use the app.
I love this system and the app allows me to track my water useage. Also let’s me know when I have to put salt back in the system so it never runs out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Biggest issue is that the graphs on the app are incorrect and not even the same as the graphs on the website! Gallons used for each day on opening appears to be correct and I like to see the current water flow, but if I actually want to graph daily/weekly/monthly use I have to go to the normal website. Please fix!
So far it’s good with only having the system installed for a week. Noticed on graphs water running when not at home turns out sons toilet flapper was causing running water. Would be nice if able to zoom screen on graphs. Hard to see the numbers on the X and Y axis.
Shows I use either 0 or 128 gallons every day. I’m pretty sure we’re not that consistent. I can also tap on the usage numbers and type in anything I want, which is a fun trick that someone in the app development team probably should have caught and makes me wonder what else I can do in the app that I shouldn’t be able to.
The main screen shows the number of gallons used today and gallons of daily average used. It does not show the number of gallons of treated water left. The web interface does show the number of gallons of treated water left.
So far a horrible experience. It doesn’t allow me to use my stored passwords to login if you switch screens during login to try and confirm the password it erases everything. Guess having a complex password was not a good idea for this app. First day, the system dropped the Wi-Fi. Not off to a good start with the tech side of this system. I hope the water side of it is better.
Like others I don’t get notifications (and my iOS and app settings are right). The app is also missing very basic information like when the last recharge was. Right now this app has very little utility.
App was great when I bought the system but weeks later, the graphs in the app stopped plotting. Further, minerals continue to accumulate on shower heads, so uncertain if the overall system is working. I’d say the 2-star reflects both the app AND the company.
This app is only useful to show me water flow and how many days of salt left. I cannot make any configuration changes with the app. Instead I have to do the changes on the unit itself. I should be able to do everything on the app that I can do on the unit's control pad.
The app is “ok”. It gives me high level info, but I can’t seem to manage alerts without logging into website though. The app still needs to be updated to fit iPhone X and newer iOS device screens.
Installed this on my iPhone and it requires restarting my phone anytime I’m not connected to my home Wi-Fi to recognize and update to the current status of the softener. (Otherwise, it tells me I have no devices connected)
last update was a year ago - needs push notifications, homekit support, auto layout support, labels are actually text entry fields, view controllers just constantly stack as you press around, and more
In the process of creating a new account and I hate it already. Buggy! It complains about a developer bugs, it wipes out all the data I typed and sends me back to the startup screen. 4th attempt to create an account. Horrible.
I’ve launched the app and it does not get past initializing configuration screen. I’ve even deleted the app and reinstalled it and still this does not fix it. Please fix this ASAP.
Just a piece of S&$T software, how little thought went into this application. Back to the drawing board, definitely not user friendly, how disappointing!!!! Just delete and move on!!!’n
When an issue is detected (like continuous water flow) the app doesn’t pop up and alert. I get to know the problem only if I log into the app. Shouldn’t this be a basic functionality?
I agree with the last review. Why not have push alerts. If I have continuous water running, excessive water usage, or low salt I have to open the app to see what’s going on. I hate this app and hope they do an update to it very soon.
Most anything you would want to do other than recharge your system, you need to do / change on the website. They really need to update this app to match the control / settings.
Cannot access the app did not recognize the password and then did not finish the change password process. This is worthless and I have lost too much time on this.
