I love the game. That’s why I chose to pay for unlimited games. However it is not working right. After I solve the Daily puzzle, I tap to get another puzzle and the same one comes up. I thought at first that it was only similar, but today I took a screenshot of the daily and the “new “ one and they are identical. I have emailed, but have not yet received an answer. is this just a glitch on my iPad? Or are other people having the same experience?
Great game…just needs multiplayer options available
I recently played this game with friends in person and was excited to download the app for practice. I just found it more difficult to finish the 11 rounds and would really appreciate some help. The most number of piles that I had completed is 8 and I’ve tried some strategies like creating more runs in each column but found out that if I just play the cards as wild cards to their respective columns, I will close more. I would give this 5 stars if we can have multiplayer options. I’d rather play with a random human being than with a bot. Humans can easily make mistakes (such as disregarding wild cards accidentally).😊 This is my first ‘solitaire’ game and now I know why I didn’t like these games. So I’m hoping that multiplayer options of playing online with other 5 crowns fanatics would be made available. For those who complained that we only get dealt with one deck of cards each day, just get the unlimited plays for only $.99. I did and it’s great!😊 Please make multiplayer options availble asap!😊
fun solitaire, just 99c for unlimited, minor scoring glitch
A challenging and fun solitaire game that provides good practice for arranging your hands in the multiplayer card game. I noticed that the stats seemed to over-count books (3 or more cards of same number) vs runs (3 or more cards of same suit in numerical order) so I played a game in which every hand was runs, un-rearrangeable as books. The stats still upped my books total by 5. This does not affect game play at all but I found it curious.
I like how 5 Crowns has been adapted from a multi player game into solitaire but I’d like the option to play a multi version through the app as well. Also, I’ve tried to purchase the extra games many times and the app will not allow me to select the button. Very sad about that.
I get the same problem Iceland, with finishing the daily and then clicking unlimited and getting the daily puzzle again. I love playing the game and find that if I close the app and re open it then clock unlimited it gives me a new puzzle. We also play the real card game and love that also. I hope they update the issue at hand.
Unlimited play only 99¢, great value. I have the real life card game and love it, also really like the solitaire version on the app. Instructions are there and pretty clear IMO. I don’t get all the negative reviews, maybe they’ve updated it since those were written. If you like canasta style games, this is a good one.
I love five crowns and love that this can be played as a single player game. I wish there was an option to play multiplayer. Maybe some sort of online play and have rankings in the game. Also I would like to see an undo button. Many times I have hit the wrong card I want to remove and there is no way to fix it.
While I myself wouldn’t rate this game 5 stars, I’m going to in order to balance out the unfair and poor reviews this game has been given. Apparently a lot of the reviewers can’t read as the app clearly states you get one new challenge per day. No duh it’s the same deck. You want a different deck then come back tomorrow to play. Works for me so I don’t get addicted. Now as for some fresh critique, I do wish this app would be like the real game and make it an online, multiplayer game. It’s such a good rummy game so I hope they’ll release one like that in the future (while also keeping the solitaire option).
The cards are set the exact same every time you play. Which means once you’ve beat it once there’s no reason to play it again. It’s a shame because this is a pretty well made app, I enjoyed playing the card game with friends in person so I wanted to play on my iPad. Unfortunately I don’t have any reason to keep this app now. Also the tutorial is a bit fast, could be good to slow it down a little bit.
This is like playing 5 crowns game all hands at once. Every pile is one hand of the game. Cards bearing the same as the number of cards in each pile is wild as are jokers. Make runs and books in each pile with all the cards to close it. Good practice for playing the game.
I enjoy playing this but there is a flaw in the 3’s column. If you get 3 3’s the game doesn’t recognize that it’s complete and turns it over, it stays as a lost column. The same thing applies if you get 2 3’s and a wild card. Please fix it, it ruins our stats 🤪
Horrible instructions and the game doesn’t always detect when a row is completed
This game doesnt always register when a row is completed. And the tutorial video goes so fast after watching it several times I still don’t know how to play.
That is a total waste of time. The rules don’t make sense and the company never answers you back. Time after time I make a pile that should disappear but never does. Disgusting and I have now deleted the app.
Five Crowns is a great card game to play with friends and family, not solitaire. There are better apps out there that do this much better and allow you to play against others online.
The explanation does not make sense and they need a demo of the goal and how to make it happen. I’ve played the game for years so I was excited to pick this up but then was disappointed.
Many times, the game just doesn’t seem to recognize completed runs, leaving the player perplexed on what to do. We play the actual card game regularly and it enjoy it very much, but I found this game exasperating.
I’d give it a zero stars if I could. Played for the last few days, why doesn’t the deck shuffle for goodness sake? Same cards in the same order ever single time, I’m over it. Get the real Five Crowns on here!
This is a great game once! After that, not so much. Every other solitaire/card game deals you a relatively new hand each deal. Please update this app to do the same.
Five Crowns Solitaire is a fun and challenging game. I see other reviews that say - The same game is played every time or no variety of hands. I don’t think they realize that the app plays the same cards throughout the entire day. With each new day, you’re dealt a different set of cards. Once you understand that it plays the exact same cards all day, then it becomes more exciting, because If you fail upon your first attempt (and usually I do) then you can play again with the knowledge of what cards are coming next. btw, there are several nice features available to help you plan out your strategy.
You say you can play as much as desired but, once I beat the round why would I want to play the same hand again? Would like to see the hand change once you beat it.
Note: Five Crowns Solitaire is a daily puzzle that utilizes the same shuffle throughout the entire day. Everyone plays the same solitaire. With each attempt to solve all 11 columns, you gain knowledge of what cards are coming and your strategy improves. We encourage you to see how many tries it takes you to win and to challenge and compare achievements with your friends. Five Crowns is a five-suited rummy-style card game that everyone loves! This award-winning, classic game is a quick favorite. The special deck makes it easier to arrange your hands into books and runs and the rotating wild card keeps you on your toes! In Five Crowns Solitaire your task is to close out all eleven hands by making books and runs. The hands are dealt out in a traditional solitaire fashion where the first column has 3 cards, the next column has 4 cards and so on until 11 columns are displayed to represent the 11 hands that are played in the multi-player version of Five Crowns. You play the cards remaining in the deck. The first card is flipped over for you. Play the card where you think it's most beneficial, and discard one card from that hand. The discard can't be used again. As each card is played the built-in analyzer will automatically close the hand (flip it over) when it is all books and/or runs. Play continues until either all hands are closed (you win) or the stack of remaining cards is depleted before all hands are closed (you lose).
