I absolutely love FOX13 news!!!! It’s the best news station ever..The only drawback was Ernie Freeman on their Facebook page commenting back and forth, like a child, about the parents wanting their children back in school... He do too much on social media and sometimes on the news as well!!! Grow up and focus more on your new wife and less about other issues that don’t concern you!!!!
I have been using the fox 13 app for almost two years now and have always loved it. I'm not sure why they felt the need to update or change it. The new app is extremely visually unappealing and frankly hard to read. It just feels "all over the place" now! There are random news stories across the top, the bottom, the sides... you don't know where to look! They took away the thumbnail images for each story and now the news feed is just one long list of black and white titles. And everything is so randomly placed that you can't tell if you've seen all the latest stories. Before with the old version, you simply scrolled to the bottom and you could clearly see everything. Every news story was in it's own rectangle, with a thumbnail image. This new update is just overwhelming and not very user friendly at all. I hope they will return to the previous format. Until they do, I will be deleting this app.
The app is ok but you get news reports flash on home screen then when you click to goto app to read about it there is nothing there . It might hours or days or never before info is posted. Also as someone said before they must have a 3rd grader writing the stories cause they are so poorly written . There is misspelling , poor grammar, and missing words. For example there is no Frayser as a road alone . But there are Blvd , street, circle and more. I mean really are you to lazy to include full names of the streets your reporting about. I love the news crew on tv and will keep watching them , but I’m deleting this app and going to see if other news apps at least have some kind of story with the notifications they send out .
I love how they have more shows than the other affiliates because with my schedule and i cant always catch the 10pm news and they have FOX13 News at Nine and as well in the mornings, they have Good Morning Memphis until 10am. Their severe weather coverage is great as well when you are under a tornado warning they tell you everything you need to know about the approaching storm.
I enjoy the news updates throughout the day. Being a very busy person, I find this app very important. Thank your team very much for a job well done. Keep up the good work
Politics are for the Liberals here in Memphis because it is a Democratic city . News Stations here will not give the Democrats the truth about what is really happening. Like the kangaroo Court in Washington, the Biden’s coverup, President lying to the American people everyday and how sick he really is and Jill Biden is run and covering up. How close America is getting into war with China, Russia and the Middle East and how close we are to a civil war here in the US. There is so much news here in our community that reporters will not go after for one reason or another.
I had previously copied my Apple Card number from Wallet to make a purchase online. Later opened the fox 13 Memphis news app and was alerted by iOS 14 that fox 13 news pasted from the Wallet app which was my CC number without consent and without me selecting paste on a field. This is SPYING on my clipboard and very dishonest and disrespectful to my privacy. Why does a local Fox News app need access to something I’ve copy and pasted in secret? Should I be shocked? It’s Fox News....trumps go to for ego petting. Deleted permanently due to privacy concerns. And they think tiktok is a problem 👀😳
I generally want to watch the latest news cast. It would be nice if there was a time of the latest cast or something. You click on the live button and sometimes get nothing. Still better than the Action News five app.
Fox 13 Memphis is the best! Because it has the world news in the mix. I’m always waiting for it to come on. Fox 13 is my evening family. It don’t get no better than this.
Love the Fox 13 App, but I’d like to see two areas improved: 1. Eliminate Grammatical Errors 2. Stop publishing incomplete stories that are based on initial police reports. Thank you.
the "live stream" leaves a LOT to be desired. it's so glitchy it crashes constantly and today it's not working at all. if you're not on xfinity and your livestream isn't working then is anyone even watching you...?
The app could be really great if you all would fix the sound quality. Example: the reporting segments are really low. You have to put the volume on like 30+...but when you have the commercial breaks, you almost jump through the ceiling because they’re so LOUD! OMG! Loud commercial breaks. Low reporting segments
When the app works it’s good however I usually end up watching other news. I am using my cell phone to watch but your app is awful. I’ll be wanting to watch Fox News I just can’t deal with the long waits and blank screens. Not my phone I have no problem with any of my other apps. Hopefully it gets worked out
I installed this app to follow the severe weather updates from my “safe space” during a tornado warning, and had to wait through an ad for a diet center before the live coverage started. You might want to consider adding an exception for emergencies so video ads are skipped.
When using the App, there are too many ads before the actual live news is accessed. People use the App for breaking news and updates but when they have to watch over 2 minutes of ads, they tend to go to another network’s site.
It’s very unorganized, repetitive, & just not a good layout for the mobile app. I’ve completely just stopped using it bc it’s mostly videos. It used to be a choice between videos & articles. The layout is repetitive. Please go back to the old setup.
I enjoy catching the local news but fix the volume. The volume is too low when the news is on until a commercial comes on and blows you out the door. iPhone, iPad and Ruko all have the same issue.
Fox 13, Memphis sends out notifications, constantly. You tap on a notification only to see commercials that bring in more money to the station. This app is nothing more than a “cash cow” for Cox Media Group‼️ I refuse to play their game‼️
The app itself works for the most part, but it’s infuriating how badly written the stories are sometimes. I am deleting because a recent update introduced pop-up video ads making the level of annoyance too high to justify using.
You lost my viewership ! You fired a man for calling someone a knuckle-dragger ?! The Gray Man movie had the same verbiage ! You failed to stand by your employee and bowed down to cancel culture while tarnishing a good man’s reputation! SHAME ON YOU ! Worthless app is now deleted!
This is the most useless app I have ever had. Anything I try to look at keeps closing with errors and telling me to GET THE APP. I got it already. Will delete and just go to the website. One star only because I HAD to.
I’m not sure why this application is so highly rated. The videos rarely play and typographical errors and jacked up grammar usage —not knowing when to use was vs were —is amusing 😩. It’s a mess.
If you want local sports coverage this app is not for you.
App is not bad, but they tout they have local sports coverage on their app. The closest local sports is Tennessee football. Rest of the stories are all national sports stories.
I really liked Fox 13 until they decided to unjustly terminate Joey. I’ll be deleting the app and moving over to WMC NBC channel 5 now. So long Fox 13. You were good until you became woke.
They always show a VIDEO 1 HAS TO READ! A reading video?? It’s always advertisement about fox 13 before we can ever see a video IF WE ARE LUCKY THAT ITS NOT JUST WRITING
The app itself is fine. It's the breaking news notifications that when you click on them you're sent to just a regular news page with a big ad displayed that annoy me. The stories are real. Fox 13 should point to the story or not say anything. Wrong or misleading information is worse than no information. You're not beating the competition doing this. You're annoying your users.
Out of all of the news apps for Memphis, this one is the worst...
I've emailed several times to try to generate feedback. Not even a reply from them. When I receive a notification of a news alert, it opens the app and then opens Safari. I don't want to read the breaking news in Safari, I want to read it in the app! This should be a simple fix. I am an avid Fox News watcher, but this app is antiquated. Come on, fix it!
This was a good app until the last update. Now I can't figure out how to read the full stories anymore. I also can't stop the screen from moving to display the side menu. Please fix this app!
Deleted this app because too many times it redirects notifications to the website. If I want to read the website I'll go to the website. Please keep your app content directed to your app.
