Won’t let me reset password
I wish I could use this app, however I forgot my password and the reset feature does accept any of my many many passwords attempt. All of the ones I tried fit within their rules of proper passwords, yet once I click to submit “object is not found” pops up or the rules pop up again (which my password obeys them all) Beyond frustrating.

Good Bye
I made a color and cut appointment. The salon called me to cancel the appointment I made and to reschedule. I rescheduled and drove to my appointment and was in the parking lot to do mobile check in and then the salon called me to cancel again and reschedule for a third time. I said no I need to get my hair done today I’m already here. They had a colorist so they said I could get my hair colored and come back another time to get it cut. I wanted it done together. They said I could get it colored there and then drive to another Gene Juarez salon that had an opening and get my haircut there. Ridiculous they want me to do that. Then they text me, your appointment was cancelled, call to reschedule. I was so upset with this business and not even an apology. I told them to remove me from their records, do not call or text me. I will find another salon. I wish I knew who the president of the company is and how to reach him. This is so unprofessional. Luckily I found a new salon and will never step back into a Gene Juarez salon ever again! I don’t recommend them. They just don’t care!

Needs work
I had already paid when I made the appt. on the app so I didn’t bring anything with me and when I went in. It still asked for payment. Wouldn’t let me use saved cards on my phone , or Apple Pay . The app did show I had a saved card, but nothing happened when I clicked it . It said add a payment method . luckily I memorized my number . But now I’m not sure of I’m going to be charged twice or not . App wouldn’t let me check in. Says to wait until I’m in the vicinity . I was in the parking lot and then in lobby and it wouldn’t work .location services were set to always allow , although there is no reason to have them on 24 7. Most of my Apps I just select only while using . Whole point of you making me download the app was for contactless check in and payment , yet I had to utilize your staff for both things.

Check in forms don’t work
This app is great in theory but it’s impossible to use the remote check in because the app says you have forms to view before you can check in then won’t show you the forms. This has been a bug for at least 3 months. Three stars are because the check out process is pretty slick and the check in process was great when it worked. Update- it’s been six months and check in still doesn’t work. I suppose the app developers have moved up to other projects if you can’t fix a bug in 6 months. I keep reporting it to the front desk but obviously they can’t help. The only use for the app is to track my appointments.

Updated app but still get an error
Trying to book an appt but says I need to update the app. I have already downloaded the latest version but still getting the same error. Overall I have not been impressed by the app for year. It doesn’t consider the customer experience when you book. You should be able to bookmark your stylists and easily book recurring business. I think the brand is stronger than the look and feel of the app.

Easy to use
The app is really easy to use. The booking was pretty smooth. I just have one request, it was a bit difficult for me to figure out how I can select the professional I always book. It would be great if you can make it simpler for clients like me.

Useless
Text won’t wrap so it’s readable, which means links are offscreen and inaccessible. I can’t even get logged in bc it (I guess) doesn’t recognize my password and I can’t get to the reset link bc it’s off screen and there isn’t even a landscape mode. Words overlap when trying to schedule making the screen illegible. Ended up calling for an appointment. Clearly paying by phone won’t work either. Who the hell did you hire to build this? You need to get a refund; it’s garbage.

Used to appreciate
I used the app consistently for two years to book, reschedule and cancel appointments. Today, attempted to use and received message the version I had was out of date, please update. I updated and am now in a loop that keeps telling me to update (App Store won’t let me as I already did) and I cannot book or see services. Weird. Ironic because current update was to fix bugs. Hmmm???

It was easy to book and to pay from app when I was done w my appointment. Super convenient that I didn’t have to share card at front desk etc.

Unable to create account
I’ve spent 30 minutes trying to create an account. I tried to open terms of service link and nothing would open. I tried to check that I agree to terms of service anyway and nothing would happen. Eventually I would lose the rest of the information on the page and would have to start over.

Bring old version back
The app does not allow you to move along the services. You can’t go back to the list of services or choose another location. The current version is worse than the previous. It freezes often. Go back to the previous version

This app is useless
I have a new iPhone but this app will not work. You are supposed to use the app to let them know you have arrived for your appointment but I can see that isn’t going to work! When I set up my appointment I ended up using my PC to access that option. If you are going to use this the way it’s intended you better get the bugs worked out!

Not good
1. The app doesn’t even show the Federal Way location 2. I have an appointment scheduled at the Federal way location, and under upcoming appointments it shows that I don’t have any appointments scheduled 3. The prices aren’t the same on the app as they are at the location - like a $30 difference in price for a haircut.

Hideous, outdated app
Practically useless because it won’t let you stay signed in, won’t save your sign in or allow you to use the Face ID option. Irritating beyond belief, and despite constant complaining for the last three years, they never fix it.

Worthless
I have tried, time and time again, to get this app to work. Will not let me update my profile...doesn’t show appointments...it’s a good thing the only person who I allow to work with my hair works there because HE is the one who gets me in the door. It sure isn’t this app

Horrible App
Download the new app it will make check in and payment easier. Ok so now all I can do is make a haircut appointment and nothing else. I cannot edit my preferences either it just gives me an error that a user already exists. So much for ease and contactless payment.

Plenty of time to work out the bugs
I want to like this app but it isn’t easy to use. Even after months of use, it’s still difficult to schedule, check in, pay, etc...you can’t even see the schedule 5 weeks out.

Glitchy
When trying to save payment to my profile the Terms And Conditions are blank. Also, you’re not able to save your payment method if you’re using MasterCard — hardly seems reasonable.

App barely works
It doesn’t label any of the fields for autofilling address or credit card data, nor does it support Apple Pay or Sign in w/ Apple. When I tried to enter my credit card, it was repeatedly rejected for “mismatched zip code”, even though I both double checked that I input it right, _and_ that my ZIP code on file at my card’s issuing bank were correct. It only went through after I used an incorrect zip code that I used to live at last year. Worse still, when you “reserve” a spot during the checkout process, that reservation isn’t tied to your account even though you need to be signed in to reserve a slot- so if you have any kind of problem during checkout, you’ve lost your preferred time slot until the reservation expires (and then you have to hope nobody else snipes it). Finally, this app doesn’t appear to have been designed with the notch in mind- which has been a standard feature of iPhones since the iPhone X. Instead, I get black bars at the top and a little bit of the UI clipped by the notch.

Cannot update my profile
Somehow upon setting up my profile, both my email and phone number were entered incorrectly!? And the app will not let me update any changes therefore it’s useless.

So many spelling mistakes
There are so many spelling mistakes and the worst one - this app does not accept Maestro cards at this time. Do you mean MasterCard??? Lol!!!

Easy booking, but has issues
I booked appointments in Redmond and received email confirmations with the address of the Bellevue salon. The app shows the appointment to be Redmond, which is correct, but there are issues with the email confirmations: 1) The appointment booking email confirmation should indicate the correct address of the salon with the appointment (and maybe a link for directions). 2) When rescheduling, a courtesy email confirmation of the new appointment should be sent—I received no email, and had to check back in the app to ensure that the change process had worked. 3) When cancelling, a courtesy email confirmation of the cancellation should be sent—This was another instance of having to re-check the app to ensure that the process had worked and the appointment was canceled. Another concern is Location services. I have selected Location services are allowed only When Using the App, not Always. Now I see in the Tutorial that Self Check-In requires Location services to be set to Always. There is no reason that Gene Juarez should require access to the location of my phone at all times, and pinging my location Always uses battery unnecessarily. The Tutorial is unclear as to payment instructions, but hopefully the payment process will be obvious when I have the appointment—Not sure what the “Agree” button does since the Tutorial makes no explanation of what terms are being agreed upon. The booking process is generally pretty smooth, with availability options easily visible and selectable. Selection of a stylist is a little clumsy, but it works. As you get more time, it would be great to add detail to the app: There is no explanation of the different service options available and what they include—what is a “Calligraphy Cut”? What is “Foundational Expert Curl” vs “Curl Expert”? The nail services are a long list, without explanations. I know you all are working hard! What you have accomplished with this app, and the new service processes post-Covid, is really impressive for such a short time. As a client, all your efforts make me feel that Gene Juarez will adapt well and thrive in “the new normal.” It is obvious from the emailed process that every aspect of service has been well thought out, and I look forward to continuing with Gene Juarez as I have since 2004.

Negative stars-
Of all the apps I have ever used this is the worst. It loses my login, won’t let you enter your phone number properly and never does send you a code to reset your password. The only thing worse is sitting on hold for forever trying to book an appt over the phone. If I didn’t love my service provider - I would boycott the app and Gene Juarez.

Worst App of all I have used!
New updated version is worse than previous version! Wiped my history and keeps locking me out so I can not sign in. Requested a link to reset my password and sent a verification code that also temporally locked me out! Soooo frustrating that after all these years that the Salon can not get this ridiculous site to work!

App doesn’t work/won’t send code
App won’t send a verification code to email for resetting password for an account it says I already have but have never used. Because of Covid, this is the new check in protocol but I’m unable to use the app because it says my email (username) already exists. However, this is the first time I’ve downloaded this app.
