If you want to bang your head on the wall of anti-user experience, download this app. I have had similar issues with the app not accepting my SAVED payment information i have had for years. It just stops working and then you have to call and go through their western union process or mail a check. And when you call be prepared for the automated system to say “if you want to hold, just stay on the line...” then annoyingly repeat, “Im sorry, i didn't get your response”. YOU TOLD ME TO STAY ON THE MOTHERFN LINE! ANNOYING. Anyhow back to this terrible app. A development intern from GA tech could make a better app. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I'm sure by the time my next payment is due, the app will break again. So much for convenience, they rather get that extra $1.75 then make a good app.
I expected more from Georgia Natural Gas. This app is absolutely terrible because you can submit a payment and it will give you an error message in the app but then send you an email thanking you for a payment. I always have to check back in a few days later to make sure my payment went through. If you use GNG just make your payments through the web version instead of the app. This app is garbage and if it wasn’t for its cheap rates, I would still be with Gas South. They have a great user friendly app that made making my monthly payments easy. Best of luck for anyone who makes the plunge to switch from Gas South to GNG!
App doesn’t show pdf of current bill or any options available when I login on the website alternatively. Only options are for payment, and reviews for that process are alarming. I won’t use them. Georgia Natural Gas Company should be EMBARRASSED by this app and should hire another developer to create a better product for customers to use. I doubt company officials or anyone in tech support has ever tried to use it!!!!
The real reason this company will not get devs to fix “the payment bug” is simply cause they don’t want it fixed. It is done this way to force those who want to pay by debit/credit to use the payment number which they tack a fee if $1.75 on each payment. They make extra $$$ off those fees. It adds up. Easy additional income. Maybe we should start charging them for the waste of time & bandwidth using their sorry app.
I have a lot of apps that I use for various accounts and they work just fine. But this app NEVER allows payment. All of my information goes in, it recalls the proper bank information, yet when I get to the end and hit “make payment” it I get “the application is unavailable. Try again later!” I’ve tried at different days, different times of the day, always the same. And I have to get all the way to the end fit it to tell me that. Absolutely worthless app!
I constantly have issues when trying to make a payment through the app. As everyone else says, it doesn’t take my SAVED bank info nor does it accept the routing number when I manually enter the account information. Ok. Fine. I will use my card....... NOPE. Enter all card info, do I want to process as a debit transaction? Sure, why not! ..... JUST KIDDING - we can’t process your payment that way either, try again later.
This app is completely pointless. I just moved down here and I’ve already had numerous issues with trying to make a payment through this app. First off, it looks like it was made in the 80s. The least they could do is make it look updated and current. Nothing about it is smooth. Update your app! It’s not that hard. Get with the times.
Does not work. When trying to pay by credit card it asks for the CCV number but has no field to input the number. Which means you cannot make the payment. Use the website it’s the only way. At the time of this review the last update seems to be 2 years ago which tells me this app has been abandoned.
This is the worst app experience I have ever had!! BEFORE your “update for minor bug fixes” it had issues but at least I could make my payments. NOW it tells me that my saved account information is not right... so i re-entered it... and shocker, the routing number for my bank - a major national financial institution - is not recognized. I’ve entered it multiple times, correctly, and yet I get error after error.
This app looks like it hasn’t been updated since the original iPhone or iTouch. Such a bad product and for how much people pay them monthly it’s extremely disappointing as a customer. It’s not hard or expensive to update an app, and could really enhance the customer paying experience.
To say this app is awful would be an understatement! You can not make payments via the bank or using a credit card. This app always times out/ crashes. If you are able to make to the payment screen it will simply freeze up then completely disappear from your screen. Save the the space on your phone by not downloading🤬
This app is awful. I tried making my payment multiple times on multiple days and I kept getting a message that it couldn’t verify my payment method. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. And I just got an email a few days ago from GNG about their great new payment app. So I was excited thinking maybe they had developed a better one. Nope. Same old app.
Have never been able to put in banking acc or routing # in just tells me not available. Fortunately, was able to put a debit card # in. Was a pain but I could make payments using it. Until I had to get a new card with new # idiots don’t have function to add new # or remove old ones.
This is one of the worst apps I have ever used. You have no access to seeing your actual bill or any history etc. Seriously? This is as minimal as one can get. Hey people check out what FPL (Florida Power and Light). created as their App. That is the most amazing app I’ve ever used. You can do better then this!
Says my account number is not recognized. Typing straight from my computer which is logged in. Exactly as it says. Called to get assistance. They offered no solution that worked. Reinstalled tried again with same result. Don’t be such a large company a release an app that doesn’t work.
For whatever reason it chooses an old outdated card for payment and when trying to change it processes an error. You are better off going online to pay.
We have been a lot of costumers giving reviews to this app and they just really don’t care. They are not like others companies committed to improve their services. But for one or another reason we still have to do business with them.
Just read all the other reviews... You would think a large company would be able to make a decent app... and it’s been horrible for years not just cause the pandemic... sorry wish i had a better review... just wanna pay my bill...
If you want to never know how much your bill is or when it’s due, and to have a hard time paying every single payment you ever make because it rejects all of your payment information, then you definitely want to download this app! 👎👎👎👎
Kept pulling in the wrong routing number even though I entered it manually. Then called and made a payment with them in the phone and the gas still got shut off. No one can tell me why!!!!!
I have months trying to make or check my account statement through the APP and it always makes me mistake to try later. And the times I can see my invoice here, the payment is always declined. The truth would put him zero in rating. Because it lacks a lot to be a good APP.
Please update the app so we have more access. Please allow us to pull up a pdf of the bill. Also please allow us to pay with a credit or debt card thru the app as well. This app and the structure could be so much better.
This is the worst App I’ve ever used. Why would a large energy company submit their customers to such poor quality site? It freezes and won’t save your information.
Possibly the worst app I’ve ever used. It works “sometimes” and that’s being generous. Most times I get an error that tells me to “try again later”. Wish I could tell them when it comes time to pay my bill....hey, try again later.
This app feels and looks like it was made by a toddler in 1994. Your company should feel embarrassed for this, and if you are the creator, give up on everything
It is a shame you will not keep up to date your app. and fix any issues needed. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Keeping an app. up to date is part of customer service. Do you value your customers? NOT!!!
Hardly ever works if you wanna open or see anything much less make a payment. I will be using another gas company with better ease of payment in the future. Its just a joke.

If I could, I would give this app 0 stars. Literally 0. It used to function adequately as long as you paid via your bank account (despite it being 2018 this app doesn’t accept credit cards OR Apple Pay), however since the last update you cannot even pay with your bank account. The app continually hangs up when trying to process your payment, or when you try to login the app simply crashes, forcing you to repeatedly try to login. Please either remove this sorry excuse for an app, or better yet, join the rest of us in 2018 by updating this app to actually work and allow customers to pay with options beyond their bank accounts. 🙏🏻
