So many apps charge you in ordinate amount of money so you can get a “cool” aesthetic. Glitch studio isn’t about greed, they’re about the art. Insane amount of control. (i.e. And changing the order of effect layers, different blend modes, the ability to select an individual RGB channel for an effect). With the addition of animation (read: automation[which, admittedly, I haven’t used yet, but have high hopes]) this just brings it to a whole other level. My main go-to for all my FX needs. Pay the one time fee and go crazy. These people deserve your money for such a powerful tool as this.
Love the app but with the new update the slit scan effect is messing up I've noticed with Types 2, 6, 7 and 8 at certain intensity levels the photo has a black rectangle appear on it please fix thank you - I have some requests for future updates, reading another review I saw they recommended adding in a place in the app where you can upload your saved presets and look at other's presets they upload and download theirs. I think that would be a great idea. Adding on to that I think it would be more intuitive to add a way to sort filters into a sort of folder/collection in the app for users like me who've spent a lot of time making presets on the app and have a lot of them. other than that I'd love more dissolve and dope type effects & the ability to have multiple sharpen, blur & blend layers.
This guy thought of amazing filter ideas, but the first thing I want to do is start normal, then edge into the surreal. There is a v e r y l o n g list of adjustments, and ‘blend’ I think is meant to adjust intensity. Of course, it’s easy for the designer to think, ‘oh, simple…you just go here and here and here and then you have a fader,’ but for the rest of us getting there is annoying. It has a somewhat intuitive enough layout, but wow, getting the right combination of controls is a bit silly. The number of parameters is overwhelming. I understand why he did it, saying to himself ‘simplifying is just taking stuff away, why do that?’ The central problem is understanding the language, what the parameter names actually mean and do. If he did simplify it, he would sell more I think. And I would like to ask him layout questions.

I myself love to edit photos and stuff like that, and I have been looking a long time for something that’s 100% free. You too I’m guessing, right? Well this app is the closest I got. Let’s face it: no app in the world like this is going to be 100% free. Sorry to burst ya bubble. I think this app has some awesome effects, but some of them you need to be a “pro”. Which of course involves paying. 😒 But beggars can’t be choosers, right? So this app I actually didn’t have to immediately trash bc it asked for monthly payment or any of that crap. So....... in conclusion, you have to pay for a few things but this is the only app that didn’t make me want to break my phone over my knee. Ty for a good app.👏👏👏
I never agreed to pay for this stupid app, I don’t even remember opening this app, i downloaded a handful to see what kinda videoing tools were available to me instead you hit me with some 20$ charge the day “after” it’s supposed to renew, these type of apps and apple are so predatory you just let anyone accidentally sign up for a “trial period” that they never even use nor do you remind them that is coming to the end of it before you charge their card. I keep my cards locked because of this, and you just kept repeatedly firing off at my debit card while I was sick for a few days after the renewal period and got a lucky shot in. Who cares about making an app people would want to pay to use when you can just get one over on a few thousand temporarily. This is garbage just like I’m sure your product is if you have to do this to make money for It
This app is my #1 go-to for editing my experimental videos. It does have paid features but they are 100% worth it, believe me. There's just honestly nothing else like it. The developers of this app did an incredible job creating a collection of unique and visually stimulating effects. With other apps, you see the same basic, corny looking effects over and over again. This is NOT one of those! Glitch Studio is a thoughtfully designed, full-featured app with adjustable settings for each effect and different blending options so you can create a dope video that looks different from what you see everyone else on IG posting. Honestly, I deleted Glitché after downloading Glitch Studio. Big thank you to the devs for making such an amazing app that stands out from the rest!!! It gets updates every so often too and I'd love to see even more effects added soon! Absolutely love this app and can't say enough good things about it! tldr; best app 4 vid fx trust me
It takes a little skill to get the most out of this app. That said it’s easy to use and has a diverse selection of effects. It’s one of the few app that always moves from phone to phone with an upgrade. I use it with stills and video too. I realized today that I had never given it a review despite it being a app I turn to when I want to glitch out. 5 stars and well deserved. Some advice for any new users, play around with layering the effects as well as the changes that can be made to the effects. The flexibility can be overwhelming but you got it.
So this app is awesome, it has all the effects you could want if you get pro which is a one time payment which is great compared to all the other apps that have that subscription crap, and the variation of all the effects is incredible, but there is one thing that would make this app perfect, if there was a way to add effects to only a certain section of the video you were editing that would make this app so much more useful and worth it, is that a thing that you guys could do? If you could that would be stellar.
its difficult to use the text tool because typing is hard to see. i dont know where the cursor is. i cant type more than two lines or the text is too big to see what im typing. this has nothing to do with changing text size. while typing out the text its so massive it takes up the screen and idk where im typing or what im typing. being able to paste text would make this easier but u cant past text, or at least im not able to transparent backgrounds with text or whatever image im importing would make this app useful for me daily. im having challenges with my current project that im using this app for because i cant import anything with a transparent backgrounds and keep them transparent. they keep getting black backgrounds and that ruins it for the project. i wish there was layers or easy ways to remove elements. like with prequel i can add a filter and then add an effect and easily go back and change that filter while keeping the effect. makes things so easy. the overall ui is not user friendly but im dealing
This app is pretty rad when you pay for the pro version. Lots of cool colorful effects and a good deal of standard filters and adjustments. Hopefully in the future they would unlock the video effects to be able to manipulate some of the effects, like change the speed of the glitch, adjust its mix/opacity, change the amount of kaleidoscope fractals, and mapping adjustments over time with key frames. (like changing the hue throughout the video) I would gladly pay $10-$15 more to have advanced features like that. But again, as is, it’s still great.
There’s only one addition I’d make to it tho. I like working on multiple projects and I don’t finish them in one sitting. So I wish there was a way to save multiple works in progress more directly. You kinda can through custom presets. You just have to remember what image or video belonged to which preset. So I wish there was a way to ‘link’ a custom preset to a specific image you had in mind. Unless there’s a feature like this I have somehow totally missed this would be very useful.
One of the BEST GLITCH apps apart from being subscription free!!! I’m sick of app developers trying to milk an income from an app. If you have talent and create AWESOME content, opportunities will present themselves and your fans will follow you!! Making people subscribe to an app that doesn’t seriously benefit their lifestyle is more burden than benefit and reveals that the developer is spending more time feeding their greed than thinking of ways to improve their services or develop new products. I gave this app a 5 star rating because glitch studio pro+ isn’t expensive and it has great editing options and so forth. But I would love to recommend something that would make this app even more better than it already is! Maybe there could be a way to put different things at different times? Kinda like how in Kinemaster you can drag stuff to wherever you want a certain thing to be at. But it is ofc a recommendation, everything about this app is perfect. 💖💖
Everything with the app is great. Only one problem, I seem to have “lost” a few filters unless I’m not looking correct. I remember seeing a few galaxy filter and fire filters that you can pick and choose from. They’re no longer anywhere on the app. Unless, I can’t find them. Any help would be great, thanks. I’ll give it a 5 star if I can get help finding these filters 😉 **UPDATE** Found it in ‘Overlay’ Filter. 5 stars like I promised 😁
One of the first apps I downloaded for my iPad, I really like the pre-made effects that have parameters you can edit and also add and create your own custom effect . This app is great for short clips for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. My only complain is you cant have two layers where you can add music to make a picture and turn it into video. You have to make the video elsewhere and then add it. That would be a cool feature if There was another layer option for more in app creation.
When i first downloaded this I thought it was another cheap bland filtering app who wants to leech off you with a monthly payment, but when i paid the $10 to BUY this.. wow. Mind was blown at the customization on the individual layers, something you’d get out of a desktop application, definitely the most advanced filter app I’ve used. And definitely worth the $10, if you’re into the details, this is the one for you.
Fell in love with this app pretty quickly after i bought the full version, not a bad price either. One issue i have however is when using a mask, zooming in and drawing the mask doesn’t seem possible, i always just swipe the picture over, it doesn’t register it as a brushstroke. Just makes it a bit difficult to make more detailed masks. Other that that, great app overall!

I’m not gonna start off with a story. The point is that this app is worth downloading. They have a lot of free stuff, but if you want more filters etc you can pay. I use this app to edit my apps, and it turns out amazing. I have a recommendation for the creators though. For the Analog Noice, type 4 I recommend you make the intensity higher. I would love to see my pictures like that. Thank you for creating this app✨. Life saver
I love this app, I just don’t understand why the black and white videos turn out looking green when saved to my phone? I have a black and white logo I was playing around with and came up with some really cool rainbow effects with the analog and digital feedback. Once I was happy with what I created I saved it to my phone as a video. When I went to my video library the logo part had turned all green! As if a green filter was added, which I most certainly did not do. Otherwise, I really love this app!!!
Ok first thing first this is a really good app I am trying to find the best editing app I can on an iPad and this is really good and it doesn’t even have a watermark on the exported video however I wish there where even more creative effects to add like a effect where the video has several parts where it moves kinda glitchy like other then maybe adding more fun effects this is pretty good
Amazing App. However as of the last update, whenever I upload a photo or video the effects end up only being seen in small trace amounts rather than the entire portion of the photo or video fitting the screen. It also will overlay old pictures I don’t even have on my phone when I go to upload a new picture. Please fix these bugs issues.
Pay for this app. The pro version is so worth it. So much fun to fool around with. You can create your own filters endlessly. So much more than other glitch apps. But, pretty please make some kind of cloud? I had to delete after I had over 25 layers on one glitch I was creating and the app crashed. It wouldn’t reopen so I downloaded it again, but the glitches I had saved didn’t restore.
I have to say I am the type of person to go the long run with apps. The fact that you guys offer excellent service upfront for free. It is really amazing I am a content creator and I’ve created some of the coolest things recently using your app which I just found and started using. so many customizations! looove this app! the only confusing thing i would change is that they use numbers instead of “Add/Subtract/Multiply/Color Burn” buttons so sometimes you have to click around a lot to find what effect you’re looking for. but other than that - this is the best app for making trippy videos!
This app is awesome. A ton of features, fx, and editing tools, all super unique and impressive. BUT - when I go to export a photo, the quality is trash! I mean literal quality of the file, not subjective editing quality. The file is compressed to 1/10th of the size as the original (8MB to 700kb) and deems my great edit basically useless. Developers - can you give us export options for images?? You have video export options, but I want to be able to export high quality images. This app is unusable until you make this happen.
A great app for adding a huge variety of glitchy and computerized effects to videos, and most crucially for me, GIFs. It’s a total game changer that this app can import and output GIFs. Fantastic for all of your aesthetic needs. While a one time payment of $10 for full features may seem steep this app’s features are well worth the money!
I’m very happy with this app and full price is well worth the amazing amount of tools and control. Presets are just an example, as tou dive deeper into the controls the possibilities are pretty endless as far as layering effects. The ability to save your own presets for quick access is the best. There is a VHS glitch style I am trying to achieve and it displays a horizontal color ghosting effect where certain colors normally brighter colors over lap to the right. Similar to the chromatic Effect but it’s not the RGB colors. I guess it should be anything brighter over laps. Please add this effect. If the effect already exists please inform me.
I was very stoked to try this app and I actually LOVE everything about, BUT when I go to export my movie the app closes before it’s done every single time. I’ve tried reinstalling,clearing cache, etc. I would love to use this app as intended ( because I paid for it ) so if there is anything you could do to help fix the exporting issue, that would be greatly appreciated.
This app is over all amazing no complaints anywhere except for importing videos or photos. Whenever I import a photo or video it will choose the original video or photo rather than the present photo (if a photo or video Is edited it will choose the originally saved photo/video not the edited version)
At first it was great I've made many videos with it, i even payed for the premium, yet now that i did, it decides too close when i try to save my work, now i cant even upload a video to the platform without it closing, i need some help from the creators cause i spent hard earned money on this and I don't want that to be wasted.
incredible filters and effects for videos or photos for five dollars, not bad to me. The effects are very cool. almost optical illusion like. very trippy but useful in the end. when it comes to making a short video production or something cool and creative and different artistic and abstract this is the app. thank you to the creators of this app, it is truly appreciated.
Going into this app, I figured 85% of the filters, ect. would be locked, but I was pleasantly surprised. Though, many options still are locked, I’d say it definitely gives you more than other apps would. All the features cost 4.99$, which is not a bad price to pay. And that’s not a subscription, it’s a one time thing.
Love the app and the fact that it's NOT a subscription for the full version. TOTALLY worth it. However, I am having an issue with the current version where the videos I put in immediately look washed out, even before adding any effects. Love all the effects and the UI but this is making it pretty difficult to use at the moment :/
Downloaded this app the other day and bought the pro version immediately because it seemed worth it. I like everything about the app, except it fails to import prerecorded videos every time I attempt it and moreover I can’t even download the effected videos I create when they were recorded previously outside the app. Defeats the whole purpose! Just says an error has occurred when importing and “video could not be saved” when exporting. Please fix ASAP and I will re review!! For now it is unusable!
This app is very good to edit videos. But there is this bug when you try to edit screen recorded videos, when you try to add a effect like anolog noise, digital noise, it doesn’t add it. The screen just remains black until the video is over. Other than that the app is pretty good.
With so many photo editing apps trying to rip of their customers with subscription plans, it’s awesome to see such a well put together app like this one sticking with the regular IAP model. As long as the devs continue to support the app like they without adding subscriptions, I will continue to support them back. Upgrading to the pro plan was a no-brainer.
The Pro version has infinite amount of possible combinations. The ability to fine tune each variable gives you endless glitch, trip, and lo-fi footage. Use your smart phone or import your dslr footage, it all works fantastically. You’ll never run out of options to enhance your footage.
I think this app is amazing. But I have just one problem,I deleted it on accident,so I when went back to the App Store to get it again but it showed that it was already downloaded on my phone. I turned my phone off then back on and the app appeared on my phone, I clicked on it and it kicked me out. So I deleted it and again I went back to the App Store and it still showed It was downloaded on my phone.
Glitch FX Studio didn’t even send me a notification asking for a rating. I just came back to do this. I am in nightlife promotion, and these effects have vastly expanded the horizons of my advertising on social. This suite delivers more than even Adobe can on mobile IMO. Strongly recommended! Also it’s straight up fun to use!!!
I use this app for every edit I make and I always save the presets. I just upgraded to a new phone and all of My presets are GONE! I bought the pro version a while ago & had over 12 presets, I really want to know how I can recover all of the lost ones. Thank You in Advance, Have A Blessed Day!
I love this app, but there are definitely a few issues. The app has a tendency to crash when looking in the photo library too long and when i try to save videos, it’ll load it, then say it couldn’t save the video. Other than these small issues the app works pretty well. Nice filters and very customizable
There’s a lot I could do on here with what they provide. Very cool and definitely worth the download. I like the way you could customize each effect your liking, and make everything look.. well glitchy! Very awesome.
This is AMAZING. First time I used it, it was just... Wow. Wonderful, I love it. The glitch effects look amazing! Nice! My one problem... I found that a VERY large majority of the features require a pro version to get... That makes me pretty upset that I can only use a few features... Could you make it so less of the features require pro? Thanks!
Definitely better than these other apps & the free version is lit. Easy to use & they’re not annoying & ask if you like the app 5 minutes after you download it.
It’s not great for exporting videos. They will almost always come out very compressed looking with bad quality. Will you ever be updating this so that the videos made on the app can be posted online?
You cannot possibly give more than this! The presets are so cool and you get modify them and tweak them how you like. The filters are really adequate for each preset and doesn’t damage the quality itself. Oh and also, I personally appreciate not pushing the watermark. Great app honestly. Would buy completely.
The app is outstanding. The variety and control of the glitch features are extremely impressive and very intuitive though thorough. Performance is great with perfect previews and exports. Excellent software.
I was really excited for this app to edit my instagram photos. I purchased the premium feature with high hopes, but all of the effects are extremely intense with no way to turn it down enough. The worst part of them all is when you save them to your camera roll, if it’s a video, it’s super laggy and glitchy, ruining the effects.
