I’ve been trying to deposit a check but it kept saying it doesn’t recognize the front of the check or can tell that I’m clearly marking the back for endorsement. Ive tried marking the back bigger on where it says x to mark the endorsement and writing deposit for HAPO but your app isn’t resigning it. It’s really frustrating.
Phenomenal app when it’s functional. Been using it for years and it’s always been great for tracking my account, paying my credit card bill and cashing checks. Nowadays though, I am more often than not running into a pop up that says “Application Error-We are unable to display your information at this time” whenever I try to transfer money to an account, pay my credit card bill, or even login. This is very frustrating as I live out of state currently and cannot go to a HAPO location in Tri Cities. Please fix soon or I’m afraid I may have to switch to a more local credit union in Texas, which I really don’t want to do. I love being with HAPO!
I can check balances make transfers and all the basic stuff. On their webpage HAPO has stuff for categorizing and budget monitoring stuff you may need, but that doesn't really translate to their app. BECU has a better app that includes the budgeting functions, but I have been having issues with certain institutions syncing. HAPO had broken that sync in an app update a few years back, but a couple loan services had the same problem. Dont expect this to replace Intuit, but it does what it needs to. I guess that is good enough.
Love this app, just it takes a bit of time for it to upload my transactions so the amounts are not always correct, especially when you have made transactions on a visa/ credit card. Also the amount of transactions we are given per month is not enough I like to slowly give myself little amounts of money out of my “fun” savings and other sub accounts and I always reach my limit. Other than that this app is really helpful to save money and keep tabs on my accounts
I never have any issues, I have everything at my fingertips and the information is clear and concise. I have my checking and savings account as well as links to my children’s juniors account and my car payment, all of it is super easy to access and work with Adam moments notice.
The interface is really straightforward but can feel laggy. It sometimes takes me to a pop up browser for additional menu items, which seems awkward. I like that there’s no extra fluff and gets straight to the point towards your account balances. I don’t have to see pop up ads that I need to hit decline on every time I want to access my account, like WF does.
App is great and I love it but really should switch back to old format when you go to see your transactions. When they would separate them by day and it was obvious you can see which days were which. Other than that the app is great, just the old format was more organized
The update for this app is pretty flawless, it’s quick and easy to first set up and after that it has the ability to use your Face ID to log you in which is a plus. The only thing is it needs is to be updated for the iPhone X’s screen. But overall it’s a great app I use it on a daily basis.
This update coincides with the new online banking system. All in all it looks good. My only request would be to be able to order the accounts on the app like you can do on the website. As recommended by HAPO, I first logged in via the web and got things there the way I wanted them. Setting up the app was pretty painless.
I like this app very much. Not too many problems. Once in awhile it will say it “unable to access account” but maybe because they are working on the app. I’m so glad HAPO has this new app. It’s so easy to transfer money and check balances. Would definitely recommend this application if you bank with HAPO. So convenient!
I know the original pop up error message is “you have exceeded your transfer limit” but this error just says “application error please try again” I called a branch they said they haven’t heard of that and couldn’t help me...
I use the Hapo and Card Valet app because the Hapo app doesn't do real time activity notification. Lately the Card Valet app hasn't worked at all. Don't know if it's a Hapo issue or not. I wish Hapo could get the same features as The Card Valet app and then it would be a 5 star app.
I absolutely love this app makes it so much easier to keep up with all my expenses and no restrictions with making transactions with accounts which I love.
After the latest iphone update this app is not compatible with voiceover anymore. It’s very frustrating for someone who is visually impaired to suddenly not have access to my bank information and make important financial transactions. All my other bank and credit card apps are still working with voiceover. HAPO needs to fix this problem soon.
They are top rated with customer service, their rates are the best, and easy to work with. I’ve belonged to several banks and credit unions in past and HAPO is by far the best overall.
Kludgy processes just kill the experience at HAPO. Outdated tech, slow external transfers, excruciating payoff process, no shared branching,... list goes on. So glad to over this relationship with HAPO. I have about 13 banks and 3 other credit units I do business with. HAPO is about 5 years behind in tech but I suppose they are trying to catch up.
I love using the app!! I can make appointments, express pick-up, check my credit and deposit checks though a photo!!! It helps a lot & very convenient.
I’m so happy with the widget option, the quick balance and best of all Popmoney. This was a great update HAPO. Jumping credit unions into the now/future of banking. Keep it up! P.S. I’m not the CEO’s daughter.
This app was most definitely designed by a high ranking, 83 year old, blue haired banker who has no idea what a mobile phone is, yet alone an app is. Not user friendly. No ease of use. The last app was simple and perfect. This one? No bueno. Please change back. Ps. The good reviews were written by the CEO’s daughter. I don’t have proof. But I’d bet my pay check on it.
Ever since the last update, when I try to see what transactions each debit card made, it throws me back to the Apple App Store HAPO Debit App where it says OPEN. Upon pressing OPEN I simply get all of my accounts. I don’t like this. I want to see the transactions BY DEBIT CARD. Please fix.
Great app when they are not doing maintenance. I often cannot access my account because of maintenance. It can be frustrating when I need it and can’t log in
This app asks you to verify by signing into your account on a web browser, making the app utterly useless. Why would you need to sign in again when you can already access banking functions within the browser?
It’s a great app and way to check, manage, and look over all transactions for your accounts, but! It never works. Every time I go to check out my accounts, there’s always an error or “application failure”.
Trying to set up on my phone and no text option to validate... then when I press the “call me” button it times out after only 5 seconds.... what a joke. This is the worst app I have used for banking yet.
This app is a huge waste of time. They ruined a perfectly good app. They make you jump through hoops and ask for all your info many times before you can even use it. I'll be leaving HAPO soon
