The app is very poorly designed with informing the user what is happening. What do I mean by this, well when trying to update the firmware on the app it’s a blank page. It doesn’t inform the user wether it’s retrieving data or if the developers never implemented the page. This also goes for their feedback page where it just says “cannot be empty” but doesn’t specify what. Besides the UI/UX which needs to go through user testing, I think it’s redundant to have a speedometer on the app when the screen on the scooter says it. Secondly there’s no option to lower the speaker volume which is obnoxious in certain situations. I would love there to be an update where we can lower the speaker volume or mute it. The only other solution is soldering it off which may be the way to go if you need something more quiet. Scooter wise it’s pretty good for it’s price point but this is a rating for the app not the scooter.
I have the Hiboy S2 Pro and it’s a very good scooter. Has good brakes you can change the power of the brakes through the app. You can have a zero start or a kick start with the app. I have a zero start with my acceleration at 10 so I start from 0 to 19 in 4.8 seconds. This app is good, don’t read what people say about connecting. There just dumb, and the reason why the scooter can’t connect is because they don’t know how to go to settings. Also if your app is not working it’s because you did a update. Don’t do that, that’s for the wrong scooter or something, just keep how your’s is and don’t change anything. That’s all you need to know. The ups and downs are nothing really. Just wish they had and update for my Hiboy S2 pro app so I they could add some feature where I can make the scooter change its color of the lights. That would be sick. Anyway have a good day. Names August and I do cool reviews on this stuff. Adios. 👍😁👋🥐
I have a Hiboy S2 Pro. First, this app is not essential to use the scooter, but it does offer some useful settings you can’t change another way, such as acceleration and braking sensitivity. Numbers are much too small to read as a dashboard when riding the scooter. There’s a ton of whitespace so it should be possible to triple the font size. Speedometer is useless when you already have the big dashboard on the scooter itself, and takes up half the screen. Cool, though, I guess. Locking the scooter with the app is almost useless because a criminal could reset the scooter in a few seconds and drive away. Most annoying of all is the speed limiter is hard capped at 19mph, really unfortunate. They really need to offer updated firmware allowing it up to 25 so it remains competitive with scooters that allow custom firmware. The S2 Pro is very stable at speed and there’s no good reason to cap it so hard. You are going to be power limited already so might as well allow higher top speed. I’m tempted to switch to another scooter than can give me that tiny bit more speed, because it makes a big difference in experience.
I found a bug with the s2 pro scooter. When I lock the scooter via the app, it locks normally. But when in lock mode, I can easily unlock the scooter by just plugging in the charger and remove it. It’s not saving the lock state in the scooter when locked via the app. All it takes is just to plug the charger and remove it. That’s it, the scooter is unlocked. If this bug can be fixed with a firmware update, I’d greatly appreciate. And I won’t be returning the order back soon.
Great app that has a really good UI. It is easy to navigate and displays all essential information. I use the app for my Hiboy S2 Pro scooter, and the app provides many more functions which cannot be done from the scooters display itself. For example, you can lock the scooters front wheel electronically which is really helpful. Next, you can set speed limits and check the battery percentage exactly. The only reason this is 4 stars is because the app should be able to show how much longer and how many miles the scooter can go before it dies. Also it needs a odometer to show how many miles you rode the scooter similar to a real car. Over all great app.
This app is good! I have no problem with it at all. You can lock, set speed limit, percentage of battery even get a temperature. However this app doesn’t seem secure enough. My recommendations is to not relay too much on the app, meaning only use it to check battery and probably twice a day. Why? Since its not secure enough it forces you to have a password and if the app gets bugged it will lock your scooter and not too many options out there. It hasn’t happened to me yet but lets be safe than sorry. Scooter is actually good! Will recommend.
I have tried everything to reconnect one of our scooters to the app and nothing works. One of the reviews says that if it works for you do not update the app, and I would highly encourage you follow that review. If it’s working for you, do not try to update it. As for the scooter, it is amazing. They really need to fix the app. I called or emailed and complained, they sent me a new circuit board to install, which takes a lot of time, which I shouldn’t have to do. but looking at the reviews here and my experience with the hardware, I really don’t think it is the circuit board but more of an app and Bluetooth issue.
I would like to see a feature where it shows how much charge you get back from the regenerative braking or a tracking feature where how far you rode with the scooter on a single charge. Little stuff like that would make this app better.
Please add battery information and trip distance to main screen
The app needs some work and it will be a better experience and selling point for your product. It needs the battery percentage on the main screen and a trip distance also added.
Please add a widget allowing us to quickly lock/unlock the scooter more conveniently. Having to find and run the app just to do that is not convenient.
I just got the S2 pro and I’m trying to understand why the app is asking for a password and where I would find the password. I could give a better review once I figure this out.
I was locking and unlocking the scooter with the bluetooth app, then one day it logged me out, and started asking for passcode again, unexpectedly. This was a problem because the person who changed the PIN was not immediately reachable, so I had to wait awhile to unlock the scooter. Very frustrating.
Yes please add an odometer. also please add the ability to see on a map where the scoter has been. Also add the ability to lock the scooter without locking the wheel.
Please provide a Firmware update to allow the scooter to reach at least 22 mph. If not faster. It would be a great selling point. It’s a good bit slow compared to many scooters I’ve ridden. When I ride with my gf she flies past me going 21 mph
Will not charge. Non existent customer service. Look at reviews of anyone with one for over 9 months and they will say either had to have replaced or it just died. Don’t waste your money
When you download the app you have to have you scooter on and be close to it the password for all of them is 888888 you can change it in settings when you log in
After trying to connect to the scooter, it asks me to put in the password (default 888888) but nothing happens after that, the screen only shows the “Rescan” button. This app is completely useless in its current state
