The scooter (I have an S2 Max) is amazing. The app is a huge letdown. It *kinda* works, but many things don’t. For me (iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 15.5), things that I’ve noticed not working: nothing happens when tapping on: total mileage and driving time in account information, Bluetooth upgrade and controller upgrade in vehicle settings. The English is indeed very broken, like others have pointed out, but that’s not the biggest issue, even though it’s an easy fix. So yeah, hopefully Hiboy invests a bit more into the app, because so far I’m really impressed by the scooter and think it deserves a better app!
This App does the minimum, it doesn’t even track total mileage, it only tracks mileage since last startup. Use the map feature and lose ability to switch modes or even turn on the light. For a scooter this nice and at this price point, I would expect an app that functions much much better and uses correct English grammar when selling to English customers. Same for user manual. Way poor English translation. Love the scooter hate the app and hate user manual.
The app provides very little to the rider. The most frustrating negative is that none of the upgrade kinks work in the app. The Bluetooth nor the device options provide any result. This is probably the reason why my scooter will change settings during a ride (drive modes), resulting in alarming drops of speeds which in certain instances can be dangerous. The scooter will also at times turn off when coming to a stop. No physical buttons are pressed, again dangerous. Ultimately, it’s a very poorly managed app resulting a in a poor experience with a scooter that otherwise is solidly made.
The app is pretty useless. You can’t see much in it but current location, basic settings and odometer. I’ve had cheap e-bikes with better apps. Hiboy needs to do better with the size of their footprint.
Just tried to log into the app after having my new scooter for almost a year now after finding out it wasn’t working on day 1 tried again just now and the same issue remains. Nothing was fixed your app is still trash👎🏻
I’ve had the scooter for two days and the Bluetooth will not connect with the app anymore. It recognizes the device but says the scooter needs to be reset. I’ve googled and you tubed how to find the reset pin or at least how to reset it. Keep running in circles, absolutely aggravating to deal with.
The app doesn’t really add much. Many improvements should be made to include: - trip/location milage - reset trip odometer - lock the speed setting so that a rider can’t go faster then what is set. Good for kid control. With these the app would be worth using, otherwise I really don’t see too much value.
There’s nothing bad with the App, but I’d like to see some refinements to this app because it’s a bit disorganized occasionally. But overall it’s an OK app.
Please fix and make a better app that doesn’t crash and that actually stays connected. I have a highway max Pro, which is amazing but the app is super disappointing. It won’t connect anymore. Please fix this.
The scooter is great, but the app doesn’t make any sense. Total mileage for the scooter is measured in Kilometers and the route or ride iteanrry doesn't save or work well. I hope this app is fixed soon.
To use the app, you need to register an account. When registering through the app you’re required to provide a verification code. Problem is that the verification code is not being sent to my email address within the 60 second time frame (it’s not sending any verification code at all). So I’m unable to register and therefore blocked from using the app. Terrible.
