Love Hy-Vee the app just needs some work
I’ve shopped at Hy-Vee for years and continue to drive by other stores to shop at Hy-Vee because I trust the quality of their food and products. It’s been a tremendous help during the pandemic, plus also a great way for me to be able to safely get groceries delivered to my elderly parents. I’ll be continuing to use the app and delivery/pick up option even beyond the pandemic. However, the app needs some work. First, please make an iPad compatible app so it can be used in landscape mode. The big thing though is why you don’t have all the products I know are in the store I’m ordering from. I can walk into the store and get those items yet not chose them in the app so I know it’s not an inventory issue. In addition, some items/options don’t come up in the initial search but when I go to choose my substitutions more options are suddenly available. Also, the substitution options don’t always make sense or show all the options. And the price of the substitution items should be included so I know if the option I’m considering is priced the same or higher/lower. I know technology is constantly evolving so I hope you will continue to invest in such valuable tools for your customers!

Simply the Best
It’s hard to beat the service (I list that first), products and cleanliness at a HyVee store. When you enter the main door, you are greeted by an array of fresh, colorful displays of every kind of fruits and vegetables with the prices clearly marked. Take your choice because there are many. Then past the restaurant with choices from main meals to pizza and Chinese. My grandson can’t resist the large raised donuts with their multiple coverings. The service and choice and sale prices at the meat department will get your attention. Steak is a rare treat at our house but who can resist when they have a choice 5-to-8 oz bacon wrapped sirloin for 5.99 each or maybe less and the taste is as good as the price. Then I walk past the milk, bacon, butter and freezer area. I bake a lot and load up on eggs and butter at their sale prices. I always understand when they are sold out of an item because of the sale price. This is getting too long so I’ll close with the checkout/customer service departments. I’m elderly and am comfortable with self-checkouts but this young man responded to my raised hand 3 times during my checkout and he never did show any irritation with me. Remember, you can always tell the quality of a store or restaurant by the amount of cars in the parking lot, people keep coming back when you offer good service at a good price!

Love the convenience of this app, just one small gripe
I started using this app during lockdown, and it has been a lifesaver for me. I have a baby and don’t feel comfortable going into the store with her, at this time. So the convenience of ordering online for curbside pickup is absolutely wonderful! The tiny gripe I have regarding the app is that the “search” bar does not clear itself. If I search “ground beef,” I understand that still being in the search bar when I go to type in the next item. But if I back out to the front page of the app from “ground beef,” I get frustrated that I still have to delete those words before I can type anything else. I know that’s the tiniest of all inconveniences, I am just used to the search bar working that way on everything else, and I end up typing two items in on top of each other and then having to click around to delete all the text before I can correct my search.

Ran into a small issue
Thursday I shopped at HyVee and bought a $13 steak and 4 pouches of lemon pepper salmon @ $1.59 each. I paid for them and have the receipt but they didn’t end up home with me. My guess is that they ended up sent home in the groceries of the individual who came immediately after me. I called and was told I needed to return either then or the next day and someone would attempt to help me. My round trip to HyVee is a bit over 30 miles and I wasn’t able to immediately return nor was I able to return the following day due to previous commitments. This was actually not the first time this has happened to me but it never amounted to much previously and I simply wrote it off. I have an issue with some of your young packers. The older women (who likely have done a lot of grocery buying generally do a good job but your younger packers are inexperienced and don’t realize when they for instance pack potatoes and bananas on top of eggs (which I have had happen) the shopper ends up with broken eggs or when they don’t take care, another shopper ends up missing groceries she’s paid for and another shopper is likely surprised by additions she or he didn’t select or buy.

Worst shop online site in Minnesota
Hy-vee is so behind in the online ordering, pickup delivery game! I do my grocery shopping online 99% of the time. Their site doesn’t offer the option to edit your order, even with a limit up to 12-24 hours prior to pick up time. So you can’t make any changes once it is submitted and no option to cancel the order all together. You actually have to call the store, get transferred to the Aisle on-line dept and wait on hold for someone who’s available. It really is to bad, I like the items and deals they offer and especially the quality compared to others stores in my area. Another issue is not being able to order any of the hy-vee pre made meals that are in the refrigerated area when you first enter the store, like their Mac and cheese, meatloaf, ribs, and mashed potatoes etc. the ones you can heat up at home. Pick up and delivery is not going away. Not sure what they paid for this miserable app but I do know it wasn’t worth the price. They are failing miserably when it come to their competition in this area.

App needs more
I like to be able to order groceries on the app and just go pick up the order vs trying to find items in the store. A time saver. That said, I wish it had more back and forth communication when items are out of stock, be able to get a text when order is complete, add notes to each specific items not just one note in general on the order, and be able to rate the shopping experience through the app. Fareway has an amazing app and very good communication. Always get prompted via email and text with any order issues. And you get a text to let them know when you are 5 min away, then when you get there. It only takes about 2 minutes for them to bring out your groceries. Hy-Vee dollar fresh in Oelwein, you have to call a phone number when you get there. It rings about 20 times before someone answered, then took another 10 minutes for them to bring out the groceries. Probably won’t use this app again. Will go elsewhere.

Good but needs a few things
I downloaded the app and I must say it is one of the better grocery store apps I have used. My favorite feature is being able to make a list and shop from my list. I also like that I can search for variations of an item on the list. I only gave 4 starts because two things I tried to do and could not figure out to do ... my assumption is that the features are not available. First... I want to be able to add a credit card to my profile without having to place a separate order. Secondly.. if I forget something on my list I want to be able to add to my order (perhaps adding a cut-off time) without having to call the store to ask them to add to it. Whit future updates on the app these features should be added! Otherwise great app.

Caution: just use the website!
Overall, I liked they Hy-Vee app until recently. Apparently there is a problem specifically with the app (not a problem if using their website) where the monetary placeholder hits the bank account, but the order never goes through to the store. There is no way for either the store or the technical support to remove the pending charge (because in their systems the order doesn’t exist). So you just have to wait until the pending charge(s) fall off your bank account in order to access that money again (2-3 days). The bank also cannot get rid of the pending charges, since it’s a problem on Hyvee’s end and they are not magicians. The tech support recommended that I use the website to try again, but by then I had 2 pending charges of a decent grocery order, so my bank account was drained. This was a problem that Hy-Vee store and tech support were familiar with, so I’m not the only one this has happened to. Just use the website for online orders!

Useless release notes and badly needs an iPad version.
Hy-Vee is a fine grocery store. The one I grew up with and the one I still prefer not that they are in the twin cities. However, this app is sorely needing in some basic updates. First, as a software developer and a thoughtful consumer it’s unacceptable that the release notes are copy/paste of some generic pablum about “behind the scenes” changes. There were some fairly significant UI changes recently, but you would never know from the description of the update. Much more importantly though this app needs an iPad version. This app is iPhone only and scales very poorly. The iPad is not some niche device. It’s mainstream and offers some significant when it comes to exactly this type of application and use case (screen real estate, keyboard/mouse support, etc). This alone has me using the Target app more often since it offers similar product mix and features in a much more pleasant format.

HyVee App
I LOVE shopping with the HyVee app. You can take your time and read the ingredients on any product you want, instead of standing in the aisle at the store while you pour over the tiny print on the packages you buy! I have saved a lot of money because I don’t end up putting extra foods and treats in my shopping cart like I do when I shop at the store. The shoppers do an amazing job at filling orders accurately, and they always pick great looking fresh produce and meats. Using this app has been a huge time saver, too. The delivery fee is a bargain at twice the price, when you consider the time you spend at the store and the trip there and back. I started using this service in the pandemic, but probably won’t return to going to the store myself because I have found that I love getting my groceries with this app!

Pharmacy access is abhorrent
With the old app, I could easily refill prescriptions from my account. With this so I have to scroll through every prescription I've had since the Sycamore, IL location opened and once I do finally find the needle in a haystack, I have to scroll through every prescription I've ever had (about 10 years worth) to get to the refill this prescription. It's a slog to just fill a necessary prescription. Particularly since for several months when I've sent in a necessary refill, I traveled the hour to get to the closest HyVee with my favorite pharmacist (Sharda) only to get home and find they didn't fill it. So we had to go an hour away again the next day to go inside and tell them I had put the refill in to be refilled five days before the first day I came. Your app is neither functional for the pharmacy, nor does it seem to reliably send refills to the pharmacist in a timely manner. Considering changing pharmacies to somewhere closer who has a functional app.

Tweak Needed
Hy-Vee, you are working very, very hard in these critical times to take care of your customers, and I for one appreciate it. There’s one thing you must do to keep us happy, and that is allow us to edit our order after it’s placed. The way it is now is just too rigid. Inevitably, I think of something else I need within five minutes of submitting my order. Also, if it’s a couple days until I’m picking up my order, a lot can happen in that time. What if I find out I’m having company in those couple days? What if I order something and then realize that I already have two of those items on hand? In this minute-by-minute world we live in, we need more flexibility. You did say, Whatever It Takes! 🙂

This app is so slow it’s almost quicker to just go to the store. Try typing in the search box and it is ridiculously laggy, missing letters if you go too quickly. And they are throwing this perks nonsense in your face by making it seem like you have to sign up in order to use the app. Don’t. Just swipe from left to right and it’ll let you go back. And I can only speak for the Lawrence, KS hyvee but prices are higher most of the time than if you go to target, aldi, or walmart for the same item. And if you want hyvee brand items they could be more expensive than the name brand items! Who would be more for store brand over name brand? An example: birds eye broccoli florets are $2.99 (still expensive for the area) but the hyvee brand for the same size of bag is $3.49. Save some time and money and look before you shop. Your wallet will thank you.

Messed up pharmacy
I have prescriptions that have to be called in each month by the doctor. I can’t automatically refill them. With the old app, I could see the status & know if they were ready. I can’t on this app. It may be more convenient for shopping so I don’t want to be completely negative, but even the old one was a far a cry from all the info I had to access to on Walgreens app—where I could see my record going back years and extremely detailed info. Our insurance refuses to work with Walgreens, and while I’ve been happy with the in pharmacy service for the most part, the app is no where near what I was used to. And the new app is forcing me to go to the legacy app to see status on any prescriptions that aren’t automatic refills. I’d appreciate if they’d strive more towards a more complete app with regards for the pharmacy section.

Regarding Rx Functionality
I can only write this review regarding app prescription services through the app and share that it is remarkably time-consuming to use. No ability to hide prescriptions you no longer use. No ability to have prescription alerts set or sent to you based on when next Rx is available. No ability to group together the same prescription so your list isn't screen and screen of old prescriptions you don't want. can figure out when the prescription is next due for you to order. Cannot condense view to a simple one or two line entry, meaning your limited to seeing about one-and-a- half medications per screen. Takes forever to find the one you need. Cannot hid order from last or previous years. Duplicate buttons that have practically the same title and do almost the same thing, which should be combined to eliminate confusion and improve user experience. Should show # of prescriptions remaining on main list, rather than having to click another link. Should actually have ability to put medications with no refills or that are expired into their own category to reduce the length of the list. I could go on but I think you get the picture. I don't know who examines UX for this app, but perhaps they should take a look at it.

Wanted to love
I wanted to love ordering through the app as a friend recommended it. However, I’ve had a hard time with it. I made my first order last week and set it to be delivered the following day. My husband and I work opposite shifts so this was the easiest for us. I added some things to my order and they didn’t show as refunded but they didn’t come in the order or show up as ordered. It was like they just disappeared from the app and order altogether. I dug around trying to get some sort of answer but it was futile. In a world where inflation is skyrocketing and I’m ordering more than $200 worth of something I need to know I’m actually getting what I paid for. It’s so inconvenient going to the store when I’m exhausted from working a 40 hour work week but I guess I’ll be forced to keep going to the store in person so I actually get what I need and pay for.

App is annoying
I’ve used worse apps, but this one is far from my favorite. It takes way too long to load, and too many clicks to be able to search. There is a search bar on the main page, but you can’t type anything in there to search. Instead it opens another page, which gives you the same search bar, but you have to click on it again and wait for it to open the keyboard. The Kroger app lets me search immediately, which is the main reason to use the app. The Kroger app also shows me the aisle the product is in in the search results list. The Hy-Vee app makes me open the product page to find the aisle it’s in. The Kroger app also shows if the item is out of stock.

Almost a great app
I switched to this app from the regular HyVee app because some options were no longer available when they merged the two apps. For the most part it is good and has what I need, it’s just a little different layout that I need to get used to. The one thing I do miss is the option to search for an item in the deals tab. On the old app I could type in a brand name or a description, and I could see if there was a sale or coupon. Now I have to figure out which category it’s in and filter it by category. I have to look through a lot of unrelated items and sometimes I’m not sure if I selected the right category. A search feature for the deals and coupons would make this app great.

Needs to have a different section
I love this app and how easy it is to use. I do pick up at least once a week. The only thing I find frustrating about this app is a notification. It will do a pop up saying that items in your cart are not available and have been removed. It would be nice if there was a section showing what was removed from the cart. When planning out dinners I add ingredients for 4-5 meals, and sometimes I have very large orders. Then, like tonight, I am missing cream of mushroom soup that I needed for my dish. It is very frustrating especially when we are trying to limit exposure time due to covid.

Update fully broke the app
As mentioned by many other people, this app poorly functions on a good day. The last update fully broke the app. It’s able to get to the home screen, however, the search function gets stuck on continuous loading screen rendering it useless. Trying to add recently purchased items to cart from the buy again screen doesn’t work. When I click the add to cart button nothing changes, and the cart remains empty. When you go to check your cart you get the error “oops something went wrong.” Agree with others saying it is pretty ridiculous that the app has functioned so poorly for so long. The ability to do grocery pickup is the only reason I shop at HyVee. If the app problems don’t get fixed soon, I’m going to have to switch to instacart and shop elsewhere. I imagine others will as well.

Too much to look through
On every survey taken for grocery pickup, I say the same thing over & over. So hopefully one day soon this will be a reality. I have always wanted to see way less items to have to look through (no one person has time to look through over 1,000 items). My wish; when an item comes up & it has multiple (flavors/differences) put 1 picture item on main screen but allow to click on & “pick” the one you really want & when you go back to the items, you actually go right back to the spot where you were. Also, there are several times that the “multiple” search doesn’t always pop up so it makes you search for one item at a time. Thank you!!

Not all items have nutritional facts posted
I just downloaded to look at and see if I would be able to use it. Unfortunately I will not be able to completely to my advantage. I have to have the ability to see what ingredients are in a product and I need to know nutritional facts as far as how many macros are in a product. For example the number of carbs, dietary fiber, sugar, added sugar. Every grocery items has to have this information on its packaging. If I can’t see what that is before ordering it I won’t be able to order it because of my health. Some items have this but not all items in this app does. I would love to switch from the major box store that has the ability to provide me the nutritional facts on all their products I order but unfortunately until this app gets updated to its competitions level it really is useless for me to try and use

Can’t get app uninstalled from phone!
Why isn’t it as accessible an option to uninstall app as it is to install app? I think when there was legislation written on this, HyVee, or possibly i-phone apps didn’t get updated? I will not use an app that forces me to accept cookies and change my privacy settings to be analyzed - and I don’t want these kind of apps on my phone. It should be made very clear before downloading how invasive the HyVee app is. If people don’t mind and it’s just about convenience to them, that’s fine - but it’s deceptive to those of us that know it how information is abused and manipulated first hand! If it isn’t underhanded to start with, then there would be no problem with for-warning the details up front. ( perhaps it’s there hidden way down somewhere?). And if it isn’t a trap, why complicate the uninstall???

Not winning my love
This app is awful. It requires extremely frequent updates, which is concerning from a data privacy and spyware perspective among other reasons. The item listings do not reflect merchandise currently available in a particular store when searching by specific location, rendering it much less useful than many grocery store apps. I've driven to various Hy-Vees for items the app said they carried which my local store didn't and found those items to be out of stock or not carried at all. The app doesn't improve my shopping experience, especially since it virtually always requires an update before I can do something as simple as look up a sale or weekly ad. Knowing the awful political contributions this company habitually makes provides all the more reason to shop elsewhere.

Old app : I don’t know if it’s true for the new app but on the old app the specials were not all listed together by category which made it difficult to maneuver through talking a long time to find what you wanted. It would be great to have all dairy items listed together and personal hygiene, products and lunch together. And so forth. New app: You have to download each of the perks plus specials that used to already be there. When I first signed on the app today that I’ve been using for practically two years or whatever new information was right in my face, not explaining what the perks was versus the perks plus if it was gonna cost me more money or what was going on. Two Customer Service people didn’t even know how to maneuver through the app to find the monthly versus weekly perks plus deals versus having them all up together with all the other deals. They had not been told if monthly specials were just not available for April or if they were gone forever. There’s a list of most recent discount items I’ve purchased, but there’s not a list of most recent items I’ve purchased that are not discounted so that I can just easily re-purchase those items too

It’s the little things… App Refresh?!?!? Grrrr
This one is 100% on the developers. There are ways to do things and ways to not do things. When you give people a long list of “deals”, it’s probably a good idea to not annoy them endlessly by refreshing the list and starting over at the top repeatedly. I’m sure it’s a simple fix, but we’re going on or two years of that behavior. I don’t leave reviews very often, but since you just made us all switch, from one “perk” account to another, with absolutely zero benefit to us… probably because you switched a vendor or something. Maybe stop doing the stuff that actually drives users crazy. Your prices are high enough as it is, we have to use the app to even make it competitive.

Increasing problems (lost a star)
Overall, the app works alright. I use it every week to pick up groceries (curbside), but has some ongoing issues. If you open an item in a list to order it, you cannot scroll the list anymore until you "move" the same "frozen" item. This can be a tiny move that doesn't change the order of the list, but in doing so, it opens the item again which then requires you to close the item. This is tiring/frustrating after a dozen items and maddening after 50 items every week. My family can't understand why I am cursing when I am ordering groceries every week. Many times, if I can wait and order it from Walmarket later, I will skip some groceries to save time -- I have more important things to do than to waste time clicking in a grocery app. Now, with a recent update, something has gone terribly wrong with the lists. I can no longer scroll to open any lists not already accessible on the screen. The list just "bounces" back up before you can click on the lists off the screen. This is very upsetting as my existing lists cannot be reduced/mixed without causing problems. Increasing problems means one less star.

Lazy Workers
You might find the delivery service convenient until the person shopping for you brings half the items you request. They don’t bother to tell you things like if you order early they won’t get meet because the department is closed. Sometimes I get someone who will text me and try to work with me to get similar items, other times I get someone lazy that will just say they don’t have it. The lazy ones usually won’t respond to my messages etc. It’s the same story you get with any business, but for the extra 20 dollars in charges I would rather just drive up there and shop myself, at least then I know that I’ll get what I came for not half the stuff for enough money to pay for three meals. Be smart and don’t waste your money so someone else can be lazy.

Everything it says about app is true snd if they could get their accounting fixed it would be grest. They sent me several different ants in 24 hours before delivery; yes, produce, bulk and meat may be estimated skightly off - but the amt they ended seemed close until I saw receipt that arrived didn’t match any of their totals and was in my favor. I was billed as if there were no adj. They told me there would be a $3 credit on next (this) bill. It showed on receipt but still are billing my acct as if everything was on it that i originally ordered. On today’s order they sent me an adjusted amt because several items were on sale and they didn’t have one item but still getting billed for things I didn’t receive. Receipt amt correct but they have yet to bill me the ant receipt shows. Trying to talk to them is like talking doubletalk. NOT WORTH THE HASLE!!

Hy-Vee caters to It’s Customers
As elderly shoppers Hy-Vee has really helped solve our shopping needs. Not only have we not felt safe because of COVID to shop in the store but we are both with knee & walking issues and ordering online has been a life saver. We can select items as needed & put in the cart ready for our next trip to town!! Your pickup service has been so very easy, necessary, and has worked out so well. We are usually using the service when we come to town for medical appointments or prescriptions so sometimes timing is hard. The staff handling the pickup have been so accommodating to handle our either extra earlier arrival or if we are almost late!! What a good crew you have hired!! My only slight complaints are the quantity of meat that has to be ordered. With cooking for only 2 people who eat smaller servings the packages consisting of several pounds presents an issue at times. The other problem is the unavailability of gluten free items at times which are required for my diet. Thank you for caring for all age groups of your shoppers!!

Some convenience, but need to check order
The convenience of using the app instead of going to the store should be great. However, I have rarely had an order that was complete or didn’t require a substitution. They don’t tell you what items aren’t available nor is it clear from the receipt. I basically don’t know an item is missing until I’m home and unpacking or ready to prepare a meal - quite inconvenient as it is a 30 minute drive to the nearest store. I also have been disappointed that not all items stocked in the store are order-able in the app. So,I have returned to in person shopping to be sure I know what I’m getting and have the full selection of all items stocked in the store.

Pharmacy Pre-paid
I continue to have the problem where I pre-pay for my prescriptions and then the pharmacy charges the person picking up for me. Then my account is put on hold at my bank because HyVee never releases it. I am home bound and rely on being prepaid. One of two things need to happen: 1) Pharmacy staff needs to check and see if prepaid before charging again. You obviously can do this because when you are told it’s prepaid you have a way to check. But I always get an excuse from your pharmacy staff that they don’t like prepay because it doesn’t show up. 2) Make it so it shows automatically on your end that it was prepaid. Again, some of us rely on this and are on a fixed income. Fix this!!!

App is fine
The App is fine. I can’t say it’s better than the old one unfortunately. In fact they have made it slightly harder to make my grocery list and find my loaded coupons. I prefer to shop in person and the App seems geared toward someone shopping from home. I can easily click an add to cart option to buy the groceries but have to click on each item to add it to my shopping list. You’ve added an unnecessary step I don’t appreciate. Let me add to list first and then give me the option to add my list to the cart and buy online. Also, once I have clicked to load a coupon I can’t seem to find a list of the loaded coupons on there while shopping. Not sure how that helps.

Good idea but app needs work
The update somehow signed me out, which made me realize you can’t use the app at all without an account. I only wanted to see if you sell something before running to the store to get it, and it’s not worth figuring out my password for what should be a thirty-second question. It also never loaded my account information fully in the first place, so my prescriptions for example didn’t connect and my rewards number NEVER worked to try to get it scanned in the store (and you don’t give physical cards to scan now). This is a good idea and offering online ordering for delivery is awesome, but there are a lot of issues to iron out with the app still.

Good app. Could use some additional features.
The app works well for me, and I’ve had no issue placing orders. My orders have been complete each time I’ve used it, the prices have matched what I’ve been quoted, and suitable replacements are chosen. My major gripe is the only cart you can have is your live cart. No shopping list, and you can’t have multiple carts. I would like the ability to have at least a list I can add items to, and then add them to the cart when I want to actually shop. All in all, a good app that could be great.

Can’t Even Use It
I wanted to see if HyVee carried a particular item, so I downloaded the app. It won’t allow you to search for a specific store, let alone item, without an account (which why would you try to prevent people from seeing your products? I don’t understand the business decision here) I folded and tried to make an account. Once I tried to make one, it wouldn’t verify my email. I clicked the link in the email and there were no instructions other than clicking a link that said “back to application”. That link did not work. Every time I tried to login in the app, it would send me another email verification link. I give up. I will just buy what I want from Target cause at least I know Target carries it.

The app needs help
This app used to work very well, but now has many issues that make it difficult to use. One major problem is the search engine. When typing words it, it will switch the letters seemingly randomly and you’ll have to correct it. I have also clipped coupons in the app and had them not come up at checkout. Also, the app is often glitchy and slow to respond, if it does respond. It’s very frustrating to use and I hope they fix it soon. I gave 3 stars because I know that the app has the potential to work well like it used to, and because I like Hy-vee.

Hy-Vee app great for shopping
Our entire family uses the app to find deals, coupons, and create shopping lists. Then when we finalize either in store or aisles on line - it is so simple to find the items both in-stock and store location (which aisle items are in). We now only forget items we fail to put on the list. Plus - we maximize savings by clipping coupons in the app. So easy to use and a great time savings. I find it more user-friendly than Cub or Target.

Keeps Getting Better!
Just used Aisles Online for the first time in awhile at the HyVee on 64th Street in Kansas City. They’ve drastically cut the lead time needed for orders and now use texting to tell you the order is ready. When you leave your house you reply to that text with “Go” and when you arrive you text again “Here”. Flawless. You can even let them know which of your ordered items for which you will accept a substituted item. I would encourage you to try this service. Super convenient and fast!

Hyvee App
I love the Hyvee app we always do Hyvee isles on line. We’re 50 miles from a Hyvee so we use the app to create our grocery list out the items in the cart & the following week we usually order. We really need a Hyvee store in Madison, SD bad! We have a Sunshine grocery store but there more expensive & there’s not much variety. So for now we will drive back & forth to do Hyvee isles on line. We love Hyvee & so does the rest of the town that makes the drive just like we do. Thank you for an amazing grocery store w an excellent app.

Hy-Vee has always been my store of choice but right now I am very disappointed Our Hy-Vee no longer has anyone at customer service; you have to wait and wait for someone to help you!! Because they are doing other jobs!! It is so cold in the store I carry a jacket in my car to wear when I shop at Hy-Vee!! They are so short staffed it makes it hard for employees to cover all the jobs they are suppose to do. Our store manager Stephanie works every department and is so helpful . So sad to say I am starting to shop at Fareway where it isn’t freezing cold!! Wake up Hy-Vee return your customer service employee and start making people smile in your aisle!!! Iowa Falls customer

Sale items
Your store is the only one I shop at. Staff very professional. Don’t have to stand inline half hour or more to get checked out like Walmart. Yuck!!! I only wish your sale items lasted longer than I day. As I am older and can’t run to store every day so I can get the sale items. like today eggs, and salad on sale. Tomorrow will be couple other items I need to save money by buying when you have sales. But I can only go to the store once a week or less. Thankyou.

Check out
I prefer to go through the checkout line getting assistance from the cashiers. Here’s why. They are so fun to talk to you they are so helpful and they’re always smiling at you. If you’ve had a bad day by the time you get done shopping there and get out to your car you’re smiling! Logan Hy-Vee in waterloo has been my best experience for that! Helpful smile not only in every aisle but at your checkout! keep smiling that includes the pharmaceutical and the customer service people!

Frustrating to use
The app requires patience. If you put in a fresh produce product, the first items up will be some form of processed item. Example green leaf lettuce I will get all the stuff in bags instead of the fresh head first. Pasta I get all the canned and boxed junk before the plain box of pasta appears. If you want to add a note to your shopper, you can only do it just before you check out. If you add notes, then remember an additional item to add, the notes are gone when you check out again. It cannot provide substitutes for a spelling error, such as molk will not be recognized as milk.

Helpful
Ordering online with Hy-Vee is probably one of the best places I’ve ordered from. A personal shopper picks your stuff and they check the products before they pack them for you. They also ask you questions about your choices to be sure that they don’t bring you something that you don’t want. it’s quick and easy. Love ordering from Hy-Ver in Gladstone, MO. Whether I go into the store or order customer service is always nice and helpful.

Works Fine, But One Minor Annoyance
Normally the App works great. Occasionally the location is listed incorrectly, but the biggest annoyance is that if I don’t open the app regularly (almost feels like daily), it ALWAYS makes me log back in. This isn’t a banking app, so I’d like it if the app would just keep me logged in indefinitely. Or at the very least, maybe make me log back in every 6 months if there isn’t any activity. In basically expect to have to log back in every time I open it, and sometimes makes me avoid opening it altogether because of how irritating it is.

Not useful, terrible app
Why do I have to login every time I open the app.. on my phone. It takes me to your website to login. But if I try to pull up my web browser to view the ad, it tries to pull up my app.. and asks to login, back on the website. It’s so frustrating. And yes.. I have the box marked to remember me. Fix this!! No other app makes you login every single time. Save my info and my store so I can get right where I need to when I need to! When I can get in the app is nice. But if I just want to add something to my shopping list quick, this makes me give up and quit bc the point of the app should be ease and convenience.

Always shop HyVee, slow slow search
I love HyVee, was employed by HyVee in the past and wholeheartedly get behind the Midwest values that HyVee seamlessly promotes, however the search feature of this website has been such a struggle for quite a while. Unfortunately, HyVee cannot be my go-to site when I’m in a hurry unless I use the voice search function. The type to search function rarely keeps up. Great selection, great value, great employees and amazing customer service as always… would love to see the website improved to align with HyVee’s greatness!

Online shopping
When scrolling through the sales it is time consuming when you look at an item. When you go back to the list you have to start from the beginning again. Then to scroll by all the items you’ve looked at numerous time; it pops back to the beginning! I’m sure with the technology we possess in this country; this could be fixed with a free clicks of a mouse. I’m sure you won’t care about this as you haven’t cared about any other concern I’ve posted. Just trying to help the disabled citizens 😌

App crashes, makes typing difficult or won’t even load
First off all we love online grocery orders. We like shopping at HyVee. But the app is a pita. When I type, it’ll skip letters or move back and continues writing within the started word, or it won’t even load, or crash. There’s also no option to edit your order to add to or make it easy to pick substitutions. The app is an overall horrible experience. And it’s been the biggest reason we haven’t been shopping our weekly grocery order there, when competitors have a better grip on their apps and interface.
