I've read a lot of news papers in my life about the Market. I love learning new ways to invest in my own and give ideas about money to people who are unfortunate to know the information. I always suggest them this organization if they really want to learn and know what the market is doing. They are accurate, honest and non-judgmental on what they have written. I interned in the New York Stock Exchange (which was all luck but awesome) #never4get and a lot of the traders all said "If it's hard to read the #NYT or #WSJ (both I also read too) the this news paper is the way to go". Because I have a reading disability and can't read as fast as others I was suggested that Investors Business Daily was the one to read. Easy to understand especially for the subject of The Financial Market. Cool fact: The founders of this company both had in total $4,000 to invest. They took their chance and knew their risk. Lets just say this company is well over worth $4,000. Keep that in mind that even a little amount of money or investment can take you to a whole new other level. Suggestions for the app: As I go on this app everyday I have realized that on iPhones from the notifications this app should be a widget, like apple news. I believe that people would find it easy and reliable to wake up there iPhones and just automatically see whats going on on IBD. As said just a suggestion

After a Million Tries…..
Without question, this User Interface & User Interface Experience are somewhat difficult to Navigate. That’s literally the only bad thing I can say about IBD. I’m in this strictly for information, education, and stock picks; most definitely not in that order. The details they provide, along with their charts, go hand in hand with all of their different Lists, to easily provide the best Stock Picking Service for the money, that money can buy. I pay well under $100 a month and I’ve had amazing returns. I have spent too much money trying “to find winners in The Market,” and while a few of them were great, the returns just didn’t come in nearly as fast. I have learned a ton, and I enjoy many aspects of this Platform. However, at the end of the Day I’m paying for the opportunity to find Winners—I work all week and I just don’t have time. Bottom Line: Give IBD a chance. You will find an immediate Home.

Aggravating, insulting and needs fixing
So on a Mac iPad, or iPhone when you activate the app you see the headline. “Stocks go up but trouble looms” You think you would like to know that story a little better. So you touch the screen and to that story you go. Then you are immediately redirected to a podcast with two talking heads but the podcast does not ply in landscape position, only upright. Not so fast, now you are redirected again to a SPYDRS commercial of 15 seconds after which the previous podcast resumes its horrendous banter. You can only shut the app down to eliminate the commercial and start the entire process again. For a service to force you to listen to worthless banter and commercials after you shelled out your hard earned dollars is just plain silly. The information, when you can get through the entire SPYDR schmeel then resize the podcast and stop it, takes about a minute but this is silly. I paid for a year to save a big percentage off the monthly price. I have chatted and communicated via e-mail and telephone with customer service individuals who had no idea how or why to fix this infernal cycle. Perhaps a noticeable decrease in subscriptions may catch some higher up’s attention, perhaps not. Be warned, for us Mac users this app is a hemorrhoid.

Poor webPresentation
I disagree with many of the positive reviews here. I signed up for a premium subscription. I also agreed to a 2 week trial of the leaderboard. I downloaded the app and started reviewing the app. Right off an ad popped up. I was thinking by paying to use the site, no ads would appear. I could not cancel the ad without exiting the app and restarting. Also, the detail of stocks is limited. There are dozens of free apps that provided a whole lot more information on stocks than this app. The leader board I agreed to pay around $50 per month after the 2 week trial, provided a list of stocks IBD thinks will breakout or are buys. Guess what... the other apps I have been using listed the very same stocks without paying a subscription. When I did see a couple stocks recommended that I had not seen on any other list, I had to go to another app to read the summary of the stock, look for volume traded per day etc.... even the screener I found here isn’t as good as what my trading account provides for free. I’m disappointed. I thought one or two recommendations for trades here may pay for this program. But I wouldn’t feel comfortable making a trade recommended from here when they can’t even present a decent web page to research why they recommend a stock.

Love IBD, but disappointed with app
I read the book by Mr. O’Neil and I bought into the ideals. I immediately purchased the IBD and only had the newspaper version for my first few months. Then I decided to try the digital IBD because it may have things that I’m not getting in the paper. It seems to be exactly the opposite. The app is very poorly put together and has a cheap feel to it. As an investor, I want something that is going to give me every chance to succeed. I honestly think the generic app on my iPad called “Stocks” and the Yahoo! Finance app give me more than the IBD app. I don’t want it to be this way. I love IBD and that’s why I’m taking time to write this. I’m hoping that something can be done. A major restructuring of the entire app is needed in my opinion. I want it to have charts the way the newspaper has them and with the notes underneath. The current charts in the app look cheap and difficult to read. I want to see sharper charts showing the high, low, and the finishing mark. I want to see the app be easier to navigate and have more to it. After 5 minutes it seems I’ve seen everything the app has to offer. Thank you for reading. Brad (West Virginia)

Smart, Safe Investing
The stock market is one of the best ways to create Financial Independence. Wealth if you will. ...but if you turn your back and fail to watch the market it can be very cruel. I paid dearly for that lessons years ago trading on my own. IBD takes away the worry and endless work. When I buy when IBD buys and sell when they sell, all is well. 2020 results are a perfect testament to the brilliance of their founder Willian J. O'Neil's work. Several of the stocks and funds that I bought in 2020 are up over 100%. Most of the rest are over 40%. Not that I did not buy some losers but IBD helped me to take the lose and move on. Which is the hardest investment move to make. I pay for every service that IBD offers. One smart trade a year and I paid for everything in a couple of hours.

Another IBD app stuck in 2007. Where is the iPad version?
It’s as if the folks at Investor’s Business Daily can’t be bothered updating their apps. This one, Swing Trader, Leaderboard etc are phone versions only. They would likely look great filling the screen of an iPad … if anyone at IBD would be bothered to do it. If they can’t stay up with the times for this … it makes one wonder how little time and effort they are spending on the rest. Until they do … I will not consider subscribing. Note: MarketSmith is the only app that does look good on an iPad). Also… - alerts when tapped on do not take you to the article that generated the alert. Instead it throw me into the most recent video … which typically has nothing to do with the article. - IBD bombards you with advertising in their products, website etc … often for products you may already have. I get trying to advertise your other products … but hitting existing customers up with promos for products the customer already subscribes to is just inconsiderate, clumsy and short sighted… not to mention it gives off an air of incompetence.

A Must for Individual Investors
IBD has always provided relevant, objective stock information for individual investors. The IBD stock analysis is essential daily reading. The app provides the information in a concise, easily accessible manner. The daily video with stock analysis is a key important feature, as well as “the big picture.” It is easy to create stock lists but even more important are the key ratings for each stock in your list such as relative strength and acc/dec indicator. These are generally not available with other subscriptions. Important news articles and stock analyses are also readily available. I would like to be able to visualize the entire contents of The Big Picture on the first page when selecting the information icon. There are also issues sometimes with refreshing the data, at least on the iPhone. However, overall it’s a great app and provides the top notch information that subscribers expect to receive with an IBD subscription.

IBD App is excellent. Bring current stories, news and articles to the front banner build upon it to keep people’s interest to come back to IBD as a reliable source of daily business news relevant to IBD. I know IBD is right slanted publication like wsj. I recommend that you should completely drop any political preference and become politically agnostic with no bias to bring in business news, un-varnished analyses and data, knowing that your readership is 1/2 right and 1/2 left and it is not your job to please one or the other. IBD’s strength is data and analyses. IBD has great potential to expand as an agnostic publication to attract the younger investors - note, some thing like >50% of investors are less than 40 years of age. What is IBD age demographics? I bet there are a lot more of old people. My suggestions above are to improve IBD and expand its subscription base with a target of constantly decreasing the avg age of subscribers. Going digital and in the middle of a pandemic, IBD has an opportunity to improve and expand and attract age group from 20s to 40s who will be your customers for many decades. Raghu Raghavan

Gannet failing local delivery
For the last six weeks my IBD weekly newspaper has not been delivered. Previous carrier wrote a note saying that she was no longer going to be my carrier. What I found out was that Garnett is the primary corporation for handling locals merged local routes. However, they have not found anyone to replace, my route. I’ve called in each week. This paper is extremely important. It allows me to organize all the essential pieces of information for trading for this coming week. It also guides me on buying and selling something you can’t do on the screen the person in at. The person handling complaints sympathizes with me promises to call in but the larger picture is Garnet has lost most of its executive staff and therefore the trickle down to the delivery level must be chaotic. I’ve also been asking your coordinator to find a different way to get me a paper. Mailing it only means that it would arrive by Wednesday after strategic moves are gone the point is is if you have subcontracted with a defund corporation, and yours, taking my sizable subscription can’t you find some other way to make sure that I get this paper

I can now use IBD app effectively alone
This latest update allows me to finally utilize IBD resources, the way I desire to use them, more efficiently and effectively without having to rely on my paper edition, which often arrives later than I desire anyway. The callouts of recent chart actions were not there previously. Those callouts help me to more quickly spot the stocks I want to focus my efforts on, and the other info is right there instantly. I’m quite pleased with these changes! Please note that I still want my paper edition, though! And it would be nice to be able to swipe to next chart in list rather than going back to list each time, but to me that’d just be an added convenience.

Incredible Value
Very intuitive design with enormous amounts of excellent information at your fingertips. It’s an excellent tool on a standalone basis but integrates flawlessly with other IBD premium tools (MarketSmith & Leaderboard). IBD, in general, is simply the best when it comes to education, information & actionable tools for the everyday investor. I would never tell you it’s the least expensive, but if you’re serious about making consistent money in the markets you have to treat it like a business. To that end, IBD essentially offers institutional level R&D (research stocks & funds; develop trading plan & style) for a relatively modest expense. If used properly, your ROI should vastly exceed your IBD expense, every year.

Would have been better to leave it alone
Content is excellent as always, but app is much more annoying to use than it was prior to most recent update. Constantly having to re-Sign In (even during an active session) and, more crucially, when trying to look at charts it frequently gives “loading” message, not just for one stock but most or all the ones I want to look at... sometimes never does load up. This is more conspicuous during what I assume to be high traffic hours: that is, soon after open or before close and on highly volatile days. This decreases its usefulness substantially since of course those are the times when I really want to look at the charts too. Looking through recent reviews I can see I’m not the only one experiencing this.

Great podcast on the markets and trading/investing strategies
I have listened to many of the investing and economic podcasts out there. Investors Business Daily’s podcast is by far my favorite. The host of the podcast is very well spoken and has a great voice. He is very pleasant to listen to, which is very rare in the genre. On top of that the show provides great information on the current state of the markets as well as IBDs investing strategies ie CANSLIM. They also provide many great trading ideas and insight to the specific stocks on their proprietary stock lists. All around great podcast and very informative for long-term investors, position and swing traders.

Overall the app is pretty good and bug free. Only thing really annoying about it is that periodically when I don’t use the app for a while and try to use it again, I cannot see the full list of any of the designated lists under “My Stock Lists” until I “re-log” back in, even though before I “re-log” in, I check under “More” to confirm that i am logged in and it says “Sign Out” which means I that am already logged in! But I still can’t see the full list until I log back in. Please fix this issue because it is very cumbersome to have to log in like that every time, especially since Touch ID hasn’t been designed yet for this app! When is Touch ID coming on this app or the MarketSmith app?

Issue with Notifications
There is currently a big issue with the notifications from the app. If you click on one of the iOS notifications to read the details, it just opens the app and takes you to the home page. It does not take you to the notification details so you are left searching the site for the information you’re trying to find (which is a daunting task and next to impossible to do). So the notifications are virtually useless at this point. I’ve been a subscriber for about 6 months and this has been an issue since I joined so it seems a fix isn’t coming anytime soon.

Great source of information !!!
Prudent investing begins with knowledge gathering. Before you make a buy, provide yourself with all the knowledge & information you can gather. Be knowledgeable about the market sector your potential purchase is in. How is that sector performing ? Within that sector, where is your potential pick performing, leading the sector, middle of the pack, following the crowd, or trailing the field, with low expectations of any real success ! Finally, who’s driving ? Who’s making the decisions ? Do they have a track record of producing past winners ? Do they understand the market sector ? How long have they played in that market sector ? I feel that getting the answers to the above questions and giving a particular stock an honest evaluation will give you potentially the best and most profitable answer to the question, should I invest in this company ? Armed with the above answers, make your decision, and pull the trigger. As in everything in life, ask God for the answer, and he will show you the way !

No iPad Ver.! No Nav. Menus! Constant Ads!
App is good, but not great! Don’t get me wrong, IBD’s content is second to non. But the presentation of that content leaves much to be desired. The much needed iPad version is no where to be found? Which is a real shame given the potential of displaying charts on a larger iPad display. There is a real lack of coherent menus that could used to navigate IBD’s numerous content sections. For example, there is no way to navigate or find “The Big Picture” link? One must read through different articles and basically stumble upon it? Finally, IBD app is only for paying customers so why is the user getting bombarded with constant advertisement? This alone makes for a very poor user experience, especially on small iPhone screens.

Screen Rotation NOT Working
I Love IBD in general. Makes me a little crazy that the screen doesn’t rotate in many cases. I’ve checked to be sure its not locked enough that I know its not the problem and my other apps seem to work in this manner very well. I like to use IBD on my IPad and the magic key board only lets me use it in the landscape position. The problem does not always exist, but seemingly really bad when viewing charts. I’m hoping this problem get’s resolved soon! Other than that, IBD helps me make many if not most of my investing decisions and I appreciate all their hard work. As soon as I see that issue resolved , I’ll add the fifth star.

Charts Stopped Working
I’ve used this app for at least 6 mo. It’s been very helpful and useful. But in the past week or so, the stock charts just stopped coming up on my iPhone 11Pro. It says “retrieving data” but the charts never come in. I tried clearing my web history. Signing out and signing back in. Turning my phone off and then back on. Nothing has worked. Everything was fine for the last 6 mo. Then in the past week they just stopped working. I guess I’ll try reinstalling the app. But it shouldn’t be this difficult.

Easy to navigate. You can setup your own watch list to keep track of the market and your stocks. Start off with their videos to get you pointed in the right direction. You can always ask for help if you get stuck. For an old timer, I manage to navigate the site fairly well. So far so good. I’m making some money based on their can-slim approach. If you have the chance, read the book “How to make money in stocks “. A little outdated, but the principles still apply today. Good luck!

Add a Comment Section
Good (not Great) App. Lots of information available but with it comes shoddy Editors. So many mistakes and, worst of all, MATH errors make it into almost every article. They need to add a Comments section so we can correct their errors or ask for clarification. Also, add a Link to The Big Picture; as it is now, you have to find an article that mentions it in order to get to the full Big Picture! Also, they repeat the same article, over and over, all day long with supposed Updates tucked somewhere within the Article. Append the Updates to the original Article would be more convenient for your subscribers.

A return user for IBD
I learned a lot from IBD, left and went on my own. I wanted new ideas for a potential market boom and came back. I was disappointed with a trade I made based on information and did not finish with the trial offer, but have returned and will join again soon. I have made good trades from their information , good results well beyond the cost. I see it has made some very good changes and opened up information for long term investing. I apologize to IBD some of the notes I wrote. Satisfied customer:) Return User 20

IBD for Life
Best foundation for individual investors! Once you get it down, you can then add a few twists from other methodologies if you want, but this product works! You still need to learn it and continue to work at it through take it vantage of what it has to offer, but once you have it down, you can take it with you through life. I began working on it around 2005, and have gone in and out for different reasons over the years, but keep coming back to it.

MY Stock list dropped to it bucket on IPad Air
I added about 15 or 20 stocks to be my stock tracking list as a new potential client and I was working on this rather diligently for sometime across three different accounts that I manage at Vanguard only to find out that there was a problem with the memory of the app where it dropped every single thing that I added in there which took me 45 minutes to an hour to do. Same stuff different day
Investor business daily is a great publication, without question. However, the IBD app is an effort frustration to use. Does not navigate well, is not well presented, and I question its usefulness. Given my observations are consistent with observations over the past couple of years, I question whether the developers are even reading these reviews. Signed up for a one year subscription and after this is done, I will let this subscription lapse. I can find the same information in better format with other publications available on the web. If you shame, investor’s business daily doesn’t step into the 21st century and make this application more user-friendly. As it is now, it’s a joke.

New Upgrade is Excellent
I earn the exceptional returns in the stock market I have achieved because I follow Investor’s Business Daily. The new upgrade to the online app is not only even more functional, but it’s beautifully designed. The tools provided allow me to follow my portfolio closely and, when I have a little extra time, to Identify additional stocks that have moved into the buy zone with substantial trading volume. Those are stocks I want to research immediately to consider adding to my portfolio.

Timely news and great commentary
I’ve read IBD and used several of their services over the last 25+ years. They have a wealth of information for both the beginner and seasoned investors. No matter your investing style or instrument you like to invest in, you’ll find information and ideas to go on. They run special pricing on many of their services throughout the year so try one (or more of!) them out and see what you think!

How not to create an app
There is no doubt about the value of IBD as a publication, however, the app designers would have never made it to the IBD 1000 list. When opening the APP, it displays in a vertical format, no rotation. When you open it on an i-pad attached to a keyboard sleeve, it gets really awkward. When reviewing the IBD 50, again, same problem, but wait, when you go into the stock detail, the charts flip to horizontal. You can always recognize IBD users for their handiness in turning their device. Guess when you are a serious investor, you are a nerd, so embrace it. In addition, the app is unstable and does not respond regularly. Very frustrating when attempting a stock review using IBD. It also continues to ask for subscribing, only to then acknowledge ‘oh wait you have a subscription’. Last but not least, it’s the reverse ‘Hotel California’: “you can check out anytime you like, but can’t check back in”. (clearly latest hit by the sparrows).

Why no Touch ID or easy access to more areas of the site?
I like this app but don’t understand why Touch ID isn’t available? The app logs me out automatically every few days and forces me to enter my email and password again. I care about security and like to use complex passwords managed by LastPass or Keychain. I can’t do that here so I had to dumb down my security just so I can access this app. Same goes for MarketSmith and SwingTrader. Almost every app supports Touch ID these days. Why can’t this one? I’d also like to have easier access to the various sections of the main site. Especially the section that describes current market conditions.

Not ready for iPad
I love the IBD "Leaders and Success" column, so I'd hoped to be able to get that in their app. Turns out that their "iPad" app gives you only the width of an iPhone, and its Search function will only let you search for stock symbols. The only way to get the "Leaders and Success" column is to scroll down and down and down in the news tab. They don't publish this column every day anymore, so you have to just keep looking for "Leaders and Success". I was told by tech support on 1/10 that it was last published on 1/5, so that made it a little easier, but it was a lot of scrolling until I finally got to the column, and when I tapped hoping for a printed story, it was a video that wouldn't play.

The most comprehensive list of Fundamental and Technical information available to individual investors. IBD’s CANSLIM methodology reduces risk and gleams out opportunistic stock ideas. The onus is on the shoulder’s of the individual investor to act in a rational manner, which will greatly increase the probability for significant gains with your portfolio. IBD provides nothing but a continuous stream of pertinent stock and general market information. Succinctly written market information from an objective point of view - So refreshing!

App lacks a lot of functionality that is needed. Even the most basic, of getting the "big picture " which provides a rating on the market , you can't get the daily article in the app, instead you have to read "stock market today" and hunt for a link to the big picture that is sometimes there and sometimes not which links to website. Same with IBD stock of day , it's in the website but can't find it in app. The app is quirky , limited and it's pretty bad how it interacts with the website I love the IBD , great content and get the paper delivered , but the actual app is terrible

Expanded Chart needs ticker list
I use an iOS iPad. The big flaw in the charting program is the lack of a ticker symbol list on the expanded horizontal chart. If you want to look at stocks you’re forced to constantly switch back-and-forth between the smaller portrait chart style chart and the expanded horizontal style chart. It’s time consuming and makes the charting function almost unusable. You waste a lot of time. It’s easy to fix. Place a ticker list in both places. It will be interesting to see how long it takes IBD to fix the problem.

Good but needs work.
One of the frustrations I have with the app, besides for all the ads and glitches when scrolling through stories, is the inability of notifications to take me to the story in the app. Every time I get a notification on a story that perks my interest, the app opens up and simply takes me to the main page of the app. If, say, I had the app purposefully opened prior to clicking on the notification (knowing this issue) then it takes me to the story. Please fix this issue. Once you fix this, I have a couple of more you guys can work on.

Great Application!
I have really enjoyed IBD over the years and the digital app is great. My only suggestion is that they make “The Big Picture” an actual menu option. I have not found a way to quickly find it in the list of news items and it is the place I like like to start each morning. Easy to find on the web, not so much in the app.

Look but don’t leap. Probably okay for a Bull Market.
You can make money by shorting the IBD “Strong Buys”. This is not a “go to” one stop source for financial information, especially the recommended picks. It has no grasp of political risk and ignores it. I do like the aggregate data presentation. This app is a source of what the herd is thinking or doing but mostly anything recommended should be viewed as a warning to stay away, a pump and dump. As such, it can be used as negative indicator that signals companies that should be scrutinized, not bought. The highest rated stocks are usually in “Pink sheets “! and are obscure, highly speculative and therefore should be avoided by the serious investor.

Not sure yet just trying to decide if it any good
A free month with no strings would help tremendously in the decision making process. No credit card info just free for a month. Chaikin did that and I found that they were invaluable so I purchased a year long subscription with renewal for 5 yrs. you have got to let people try it. If your confidence in your product is that you are one of the best then why not prove it like Chaikin did. Not saying Chaikin is the best but they were confident enough to let me and everyone decide for free. They are 3 times the price but confidence in your own product goes a long way. If you would like to discuss further please contact me.

Disappointed
I've been a subscriber to IBD paper, and daily graph products since mid 80's, over 35 years. I have gone along with the digital format the past few years, because you no longer offer daily delivery. I have been frustrated and disappointed with the digital version since it's inception. It is combersome to navigate. The most annoying thing, however, is the constant, distracting pop-ups to sell you something, that cannot be shut off. IBD used to be a stimulating, useful tool. Althoigh I read the weekly paper version, I find the digital version too frustrating to deal with. I now get my market info elsewhere.

Life changing
First time trader started a robinhood account with 3k. After losing 1/2 I found IBD & market smith. The CAN SLIM method of trading is bullet proof I have tried to go against it and failed horribly. I have changed the ways of other traders that have been trading longer than I have been alive. Also the charts save you hours by showing you pivot points and so on. Since purchase of IBD and their products I am up in passed 3 months 152%

Tired of SPAM and Stories that do not link
I subscribe to digital IBD and MarketSmith. I’m really getting tired of all the push notifications that digital IBD sends me and there’s no way to turn those off. I don’t wanna hear about savings promotions for annual subscriptions and I don’t wanna hear about their new Options Trader App anymore. I just want actionable news and relevant information and nothing else. Second, why do they send push notifications of stories that then when tapped on don't link directly to the story? instead it goes to the homepage leaving you no clue where to read about the story.

Need an iPad version
I’ve been a subscriber to IBD for years. It is always been informative and up to date with information. I improperly charged my iPhone last night picked up my iPad installed the IBD app, and was totally disappointed that it doesn’t function properly on a tablet. The size is too small, and the expanded version locks up if the image doesn’t line up exactly in the frame. And of course because it’s not made for the iPad the image doesn’t rotate another frustration.

IBD
I have been using IBD I'm its various formats for over 30 years and found it consistently delivers terrific value for my investing needs. I found that there is so much data and news offered that it is advisable to develop one's own system for ease of use. I have always been a relative strength advocate and constructed a program that tracks group rotation simply and selects stocks in a model compatible with the industry algorithm.

Just tells to buy stock when it is all time high
Ffty is all time worst performance. If you are active investor it may have some value, but overall, difficult to use recommendations, some stocks some due to their idiosyncratic strategies and news articles in google search. Don’t subscribe to news corps another service. If you want to make money while enjoying sleep, focus on long term leaders. IBD 50 is sure bet on losing money. MarketSmith is little informative but cost is high. So iBD got sold to Murdoch since it was worst composite indicator stocks. How much company service worth after constant price increases?
