Japanese Rural Life Adventure

I’ve really been enjoying this game :) I love having all these tasks to do to make this little village better. My hope is that the developers continue to work on the game an expand it into something even better! I’ve spent hours playing already and still haven’t completed everything, but i can feel that i’m getting close to the end of content available for me to explore. I’m hoping desperately that the areas that i can’t continue on to because i “might get lost” eventually become playable new areas with new things to fix up or items to collect! Maybe there will be new bugs/fish/animals that only spawn in these new places? New crops you can only buy seeds for there? New cooking or DIY recipes??? (my dream) Also, I can’t help but be a bit disappointed in the lack of interaction with the other villagers; there’s no way to learn anything really about the other people living in he community or form any relationship with them outside of just cleaning up around their homes and giving a few gifts. It’s the weakest point of the game. I’d love if we got an overhaul of the way we get to interact with NPCS in the future ^^ oh! and maybe a way to unlock/earn or buy a bicycle so we can get around the map quicker? it’s very tedious to walk from your house across to the very edge of the map :)

Feeling: I like this game very much. I have been playing for nearly 20 hours. I think everything is fine: keeping cats, dogs, chickens and fish is very healing. Every festival can do something interesting, which is more helpful to experience the cultures of different countries. Question: Do you need to update some inaccessible maps, or do I need to continue to explore how to access the new map? Suggestion: 1. I hope more NPCs can return special gifts after receiving gifts from players; 2. Add more dishes that can be made and richer interaction; 3. Players can make more interesting things and decorate the hut more freely; 4. I hope to release lockers and other things in the future. Players can put small gifts won during the summer festival in cabinets or as decorations; 5. I hope this game can be more logical. Characters can change clothes when it snows in winter, instead of wearing only one dress and carrying the same bag all year round. You can also buy cloth to make clothes for your pet. 6. The crop harvest is too small, which is very unreasonable. Only nine crops were harvested in four game days! 7. Add more maps. For the time being, I will continue to play this game. I hope you can do better！

This is an adorable game, really, you cleanup a village and help out the people there. So wholesome! It looks like another popular farming game but is much more on-rails (you can pick crops, but the locations are fixed, e.g. each tree has a specific planting location). Mostly finished the game, there are a few mysteries left and a bunch of daily good deeds to do but here are my pro tips: - follow the calendar completely: took me a while to get the hang of the calendar and how days and months go by, worth checking the calendar every morning for details on seasonal events - save cooked food for holidays, if you want to have a perfect year it’s best to have all the dishes cooked in early January - if you want to catch the sunrise you have to sleep in the mountain hut - shells on the beach are the biggest money maker - have fun, relax snd enjoy. Worst case you wake up in bed a little tired - when buying manuals from the shop, don’t over spend, you can’t go above max level but the store owner will sell you all you want - daigashi is super helpful, you need to find the three best and stock up when fishing, bug hunting or photographing

This game satisfies many cravings. I love the seasons and the pacing of growing foods. The music and sound effects are fun and calming. I love the seeing the representation of and learning more about my cultural heritage. I think diy projects could take longer. I wish the futon and pillow screens would say how to use them- I am assuming you need the whole bedding set. I like the easier to toggle fishing pole etc with a long push. It was hard to find out I could sell things on other tabs until I had been playing for three weeks. A few glitches I have encountered include: I attempted fishing by the upper water gate and could not- the screen flashes and all my controls and backpack disappear. I can’t put the fishing pole away. I sewed seeds for glutinous rice but four slots were forced to be opened and I could not plant there. A sewing seeds glitch makes it so if you quit the game before your field is fully planted, you cannot put more seeds in until your present crop is done. And the next time I tried to sew crops, I could only plant the glutinous rice in the four odd spots.

However, there’s like certain paths set up and you cannot go anywhere else. Like you have to go around a whole object or you thought a place was a shortcut, but it wasn’t. }——{ Sometimes your tasks aren’t clear. When the player is supposed to fix the school roof, where do you do that? }——{ The landlord tries to scam the player. 3000 coins for a mountain? That mountain better be made out of gold. }——{ Not much variety with soundtrack. }——{ Game starts to feel like a fetch quest due to the amount of running. Being able to fix the bridge really quickly in the beginning would help a lot.}—-{Building stairs on the mountain is so annoying. I missed the sunrise because of the million of stars I had to build.}

EDIT: The game is flawless and I love the new quests. The snakes are not permanent and will leave when you complete tasks. The bugs were a simple fix, they just basically fixed themselves, just refresh the game. They upgraded the accessibility of the fishing rod and camera . LOVE LOVE LOVE. The game calms me. I updated the game today but I was trying to take pictures of the new birds and every time I used the camera the game froze. I also tried using the net to catch bugs but it froze again. It’s seems like I can’t do anything. I don’t like the new snake addition. sometimes I don’t see them and get bit which takes away from the calming experience of the game. I also was stuck because I had to go up the stairs and the snake was on the stairs and wouldn’t move. Also I miss the little buttons on the bottom right of the screen where I can easily use the camera and fishing rod. I was trying to find a report bug button but I couldn’t find one so I’m writing this review. I really liked the game but I really don’t like the snakes

I have been loving this game. I downloaded it a few months ago and completed all of the major town renovations and put it down until recently. Upon return I saw there was a major update with an additional area added, and while wandering around there’s a lot more that looks like it will be added later. The game is extremely repetitive, requiring you to buy lots of items in order to complete tasks. While some people might find it frustrating I think the challenge for this game is perfect. You do need a lot of supplies to complete tasks, but they all make sense. The prices of the items and the money you make ensure you can’t complete tasks in one day. For me the pacing is just right. You work to slowly rebuild your country town to make it just right. If I had to give critiques it would be that I don’t understand the benefit of taking pictures (maybe a gallery could be added?) and it would be nice if fish and bugs showed you where they spawn like the fauna does when they have specific spawn points.

Im obsessed with this game! It's like a simpler, Japanese-culture-focused Stardew Valley, so if you like cozy farming sims you will love this ❤️ I do wish they would add more character customisation and clothing. I would love a ponytail. Maybe a sweater for the winter. Also I kind of wish the NPC characters had names! After playing 40+ hours there are a few things I've noticed: - there are typos and grammatical errors a few places (like "I've finished send out nengajo" when it should be "sending", "Hervested" in the backpack menu when it should say Harvested) - when looking through the backpack menu, the steam from the hot food blocks the inventory # amount above it - when walking in the mountains, sometimes the screen won't automatically move and I have to walk around randomly until it works again - There is dagashi that claims to help you find 5-star animals and fish, but none seem to exist in the game. What's up with that? Overall I love this game and hope to see more updates soon! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎎🎋

I’ve only played the game for a few days, but it’s really fun so far. The only problems I have are that I’ve completed a bunch of the things in the village that give me money, and I need to buy more materials to complete the last ones. That means that I’ve already used the money that I earned and can only complete a tiny bit each day before I can get more money. Also, food is very hard to get and easy to use up. The crops take many days to grow and I quickly run out trying to make stuff. I understand that it’s supposed to take a while, but it’s the same problem. I need to get more time in the day that I’m not sleeping, but to do that, I need more time. Basically I need money to get money. Aside from this, the art is very cute, I like the music, and the things to complete are fun. I also like how quickly the resources reappear, so I’m not sitting there, literally waiting for grass to grow. Altogether, very cute game, but a few things could be improved. I will definitely continue playing!

I’m really enjoying this game. I have done just about everything, so I started a new saved game to see if I could do it faster. That causes a problem with the museum task. 1. The first day, I cleared as much rubble as I could before I ran out of time. I got a little over half. And I cleaned up two buildings. 2. The next day when I came back, I started to clear one rubble pile. On the first hit, it said I’d cleared all the rubble. 3. Then it let me start planting saplings and putting down rock and fences while there was still rubble. 4. Whenever I do anything, it says I’ve done it all. 5. The tourists came, and things are still undone. I can work past noon on planting and fence building but not rubble destroying. 6. I can never plant enough. The sapling prompt comes up, but when I plant, nothing happens. 7. I got paid for the work once I put in all the displays in the buildings even though other things are unfinished. So, having a second saved game breaks the museum.

I will give you guys five stars, just because of how obsessed i am with the game. But i will like to see some updated changes. For example, i know the main character is a guy, but not everyone will like to play as one. Especially if hes nameless. I want you guys to incorporate having players pick between a girl or a guy, and then have us change their names, or at least let us give our character now a name. Hes walking around being known as “you” like let us name him. Also theres a bit of non realistic stuff in the game. Why doesnt the character or any of the npcs change their clothes to match the seasons? Its winter and hes walking around with a heavy backpack, a short sleeve t-shirt and pants. That’s horrible, at least give us an option to change his clothes. The mountain costing energy is also bad, in my opinion, you can explore limitedly, unless you have food, you’re screwed. Also the game becomes repetitive once you finish all the gifting/calendar quests.

I’ve played this game for a few hours, and thus far I really enjoy it! It’s a super chill cozy game. I love the music and the art style. The only critique I would give it is more character customization and some of the mechanics feel clunky. It would be nice to be able to change hairstyles, eye color, skin tone, and clothing. Maybe you can make a wardrobe and then craft clothing with the cotton and sewing kit that are already present in the game, and make dye with the flowers so they have more use than selling and offerings. Some of mechanics aren’t very intuitive, and don’t always work right. For instance, when cooking fish it takes a few tries to get the bamboo skewers in, and you can’t place a fish past where another fish is on the grill. Also, the tap to move doesn’t always work right. It would be nice to have a joystick option, or something similar. Overall though, this is a really great game, with no bugs, fun characters, and a relaxing setting. I would definitely recommend it.

This game is fun and chill. However, there are some issues. 1. The game does not save frequently enough. I have lost hours of progress because of this. It should save to the device after most performed actions, e.g., talk to NPCs, perform a task (wipe down, water, repair, etc.), buy/sell items, etc. The save frequency could also be configurable, allowing for what I described or saving to the device on a timed schedule, say every 30 seconds. Saving should always go to the device first and then synced to the cloud later. Automatic cloud syncing should happen far less frequently, say every 10 minutes. The sync frequency should be configurable with a list of options or an input for the number of minutes. The user should also be allowed to turn off auto-syncing. 2. The game crashes randomly. It crashed the first time I tried to name my dog. It crashed again the first time the Village Head attempted to show me the list of village tasks.

Updated my rating to 5 stars because the developer seems genuine in their attempt to update the game with reasonable improvements. I’m satisfied with the commitment to make the game better. Another suggestion is a bigger storage amount than the allotted 99 for each item. I hate passing things I can collect because it’s a waste of time. Thank you for responding and for such a great game. Love, love, love this game. It’s both calming and entertaining. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of five because the time moves much faster than necessary. I go to sleep one month and wake up to dead winter snowing while I am still working on completing tasks for fall. Please slow it down a bit. I’m four years into country life and have not done a ton of things because obviously I can’t spend all day in a game when I have a life to live. It’s an excellent game that I will keep playing regardless but it would be nice if the time slowed a little.

I absolutely love this game so much. I love that it’s challenging and almost kind of strategy like since you only have a certain amount of hearts to do stuff before you have to sleep the time away so you have to think carefully about what to do next and use your hearts for. It’s so chill and I got all of my friends to play it too. Me and my girlfriend play this game every single night before bed and I sometimes catch myself in my lectures playing when I’m bored. The cure for boredom!!! If you’re bored and looking for a game to play this is it!! Please keep making and developing games like this. I would love to see something that involves a city or a village on the beach instead in another rural area in a different part of the world with a different language. It’s very educational and helps with getting to know many traditional Japanese culture and value. I love this game, it’s more than just cute it’s veryy accurate.

This is still hands down my favorite game on Apple Arcade, even after having to restart due to forgetting my place after life got busy for a bit. I could play happily for days and not get bored, and I adore the score. I honestly wish I could purchase the music, I love it so much. I also am loving the new content and how it keeps getting added in, I wish I had this game on more than just my apple devices, honestly. I also want to give a huge shout out to the dev team. As someone with vision issues, a lot of modern games are hard for me to play on a tv due to the font being too small or lacking contrast. Regardless of which device I happen to be using, tv, iPad (preference), or phone, I never have issues with the font or text size. I appreciate all of your hard work and look forward to continuing to enjoy this hidden gem of a game.

Probably one of the best games I’ve ever played. The summer festival is so much fun, but I can’t catch any koi, so thats kind of annoying. I love the pets too, but I hate having to feed them! I have no trust with the cat because all the fish she wants are so rare for me, so I barley get to feed the cat. If you could just maybe make the fish she wants easier to get, I'd really appreciate it. I also want more projects on the town. I've done all the ones available in the beginning. As much as I love this game, the activities are limited and in the beginning, you cant do much. I also would love if the mountain is easier to get. I hate having to get all the materials for everything I want to do. Plus, all the pets are hard to care for, wich puts me under a lot of pressure to catch the right fish and grow the right fruits in time.

This is the first and probably only review I have or ever will make on game in the app store, so this really says something about the game and how much I love it that I’m doing this!! First of all, the biggest thing that I think needs the most and soonest fix is the controls for the game on the computer. You have to click on the screen to go walk anywhere, and it’s just really inconvenient and uncomfortable. Please make it so that you can use the “A, W, S, D” keys to move your character around instead of just being made to use the trackpad!! You can maybe even make it so that we can also use the “space bar” or “enter” keys to do some basic commands like confirming a purchase or something just to make it easier on our hands. The above was honestly just my main issue that I wanted to bring up, so I’ll add anything that I can think of later on, I suppose.

I don’t usually write reviews but this game has completely changed my daily routine in the best way ~ I have PTSD + am autistic, so I have grown quite accustomed to feelings of anxiety, panic, and exhaustion. I have never been able to find a simple or easy way to navigate my episodes where I am overwhelmed and engulfed in sensory overload, until I decided to take a chance on this game. As silly as this might sound, Japan Rural Life has given me solace in the face of anguish and apprehension. The slow paced, goal based game is incredibly beautiful with little surprises everywhere you go. I love that there is no right or wrong way to play, and that there are so many things to do— just for the sake of it! I am so grateful to have found even the smallest bit of relief from my habitual breakdowns. I pray this game never leaves the app store. Thank you so much.. 🫶🏻

I pre-ordered this game because I wanted to learn what it had to offer. It looked so cute, and it was so exciting reading about the cultural events and traditions this game included. I wanted to experience it! Once I started playing the game, I fell in love. The pace of the game was slow enough to be relaxing, but quick enough to keep my attention. Progress feels so good in this game! It is like a mix of all my favorite aspects of daily life/simulation games. Working on building and repairing my house in game was inspiring to me. It reminded me that I can accomplish goals if I take those first steps. Even if the process is slow, it will get finished eventually, and it will be so rewarding. This game is incredible. I have been enjoying my play time so much. It's beautiful. It reminds me that there is so much to enjoy in this life. Thank you. ♡

I started playing this and it helped me relax so much! The calming music and fun simple tasks were so soothing and enjoyable! The game is simple to follow and so much to do! It’s aesthetically, pleasing to look at too! really reminds me of the rural Japanese countryside portrayed in Ghibli movies and that’s so cozy feeling for me! I would give this game 5 stars but there is one small bug in the game that I really hope gets fixed soon, when I pull out the fishing rod or butterfly net the game freezes and I’m unable to move around. It’s happened multiple times and I close the game and reopen it and that was fixing it but now it’s not at all. Every time I take those items out to use them again the game freezes. I’m sure it’s a simple fix and I hope the creators see this because other than that 1 thing this game is a 10/10 for me!! 🥰

I found this game to be very relaxing and engrossing. It's VERY slow paced. The game is a familiarly formated questing game at its core. You must complete task A to move onto task B. Talk to character A to get something for character B . . . But, the quests take on a different guise than most other games. You're not seeking weapons or to vanquish a monster. You're trying your hand at farming and looking to gain people's trust by doing them favors. The one aspect of the game that I found frustrating was that if you missed a small item, you would have to wait another in-game year to try again. Perhaps the ability to end your day whenever you choose would be a nice addition to the game for this reason. But, overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game.

I really love this game, I started playing a few days ago and I’ve been playing it constantly. I was making pretty good progress between repairing the village and everything but I think there’s a bug or maybe I’m just confused. I bought the mountain and after that I returned to my house and there was a red flag that said test, and it had me run through the beginning of the game again and it’s still stuck in that stage even tho the flag disappeared. It wants me to replace the tatami but doesn’t give me the option to do so and like I said, I’ve already done it it’s just having me rerun through the beginning stages. Since I can’t do it, I’m just stuck not able to do anything. I started a new world but I don’t really want to restart the whole game again because I got a good amount done. What do I do or is this just a bug I have to wait to get fixed?

I love the game, it’s like a simplified version of Stardew valley, focusing more on farming and community building. However, there’s not a lot of direction from the game, I didn’t know about the new years festival until it was too late, when I finally did the summer festival I didn’t know I’d need money to enjoy it so I pretty much just wasted a ton of time and materials, and money in the first place is way too hard to come by, the fact you have to bundle items together to sell them makes no sense, you should be able to sell single items. Other than that nothing too major except that it doesn’t make sense the lady you buy things from comes before the guy that buys things from you, I make money but can’t use it till the next day so I’m just sleeping until I can start the next day and buy what I need.

I enjoy this game a lot and love cozy vibe it has, I just wish I could play the game as a girl and would love it if I could make clothes or customize my character a little more. I would also like more NPCs to have gifts when you get them to 100% trust. I think we need more items too cause after a while you don't really need much more money therefore fishing and collecting bugs can turn a little monotone. Finding more useful ways to want/need help and collect all bugs and fishes like having a museum or a market where you can sell the things you catch would also be cool. It mainly needs incentives to want to grind a little more and need more money to do more things in-game. Also a way to travel faster would be great. Overall I love this game and just wish it could have more things added so we can continue to enjoy it.

This game has been amazing and relaxing. I hav enjoyed the dynamics, some puzzles I did have to think a bit more but they are easy to solve. I would like to see more of planting different kinds of fruits, more veggies, more Japanese cuisine, be able to have a shortcut to the different parts of the map(walking gets a tad boring), be able to build a 2nd floor, have more space to sow more than 9 products(veggies, wheat, etc), more puzzles, and get more rewards from the villagers when getting the 100% trust. I did encounter some crashing and loosing game time but that didn’t face me, just started again. Also it would be nice to have more submenus when bringing up the backpack(dagashi items, etc.) In overall, kudos to the devs this is really fantastic game! Thank you!

This game is a very chill experience with an added cultural flare that makes it special. I loved learning about the different about the different seasonal activities while making my way through the game. That being said I have run into one problem which did ruin my experience. One of the major (and most time consuming goals) is to do ALL the seasonal activities in a single year. After making sure I had everything ready to attempt this I got instantly blocked because the prompt to put up the kadomatsu and shiminawa in early January is no longer appearing for me. I was able to put them up in previous years but now there’s no option to do so. So there goes all that time and planing to get all the events completed…kinda sad about it. It’s the only thing costing that last star for my rating.

Hello! This game is a really fun and interesting game. the scenery and atmosphere with the music is very calming. As soon as the game was released i started it and it was better than my expectations. This is probably the best game on Apple Arcade. (Indie, RPG, Adventure, etc. wise) I would’ve paid money if this was a game on steam or a total different game. I hope you guys (the owners) are getting good money you deserve a lot. This game has everything you can think of- exploring, cats/dogs/pets, foraging, fixing up& upgrades, friendship meters, etc. The only thing i can say bad about the game is you slowly get bored after awhile when you don’t know how to do something-BUT, once you figure it out it goes back to being astonishingly fun. best game. 10/10 💯💯💯💯💯😽❤️ p.s. to game creator~ could you create different cat/dog pixel skin breeds? i have a calico cat and it would be cool to see different breeds especially a calico, they are very underrated 😽❤️ awesome game! & i would definitely pay for a cat calico breed or to be able to create our own so it could be exactly like our animals at home!❤️ Thank you creators and crews for creating this amazing game. you guys did awesome. 👍❤️

One thing made me lose interest in this game. I am a very religious person. I don't take Worship lightly. I don't like it being part of a game. When I saw that I had to perform virtual acts of worship in a temple in a religion that I am not part of, this made me very upset. It made me lose interest in playing this game any more. Another thing I didn't like is the fact that the dog that I spent all the time to rescue had to be fed certain foods that I didn't have in my possession. Certain aspects of the game, I believe should be changed. We should have been given the option of bypassing the worship and doing another activity that wouldn't insult our spiritual beliefs. And we should be given some way to feed the dog other than having certain foods chosen for us, and the poor animal loses trust in us because we continue to fail! Not funny. Not fun.

First of all this game is the best! I can’t stop playing 😂 it’s all I think about. I HAVE BURNED FOOD because of this game! It’s so well thought out the way the tasks can only be completed during certain times of the “year” and how you need certain ingredients that you have to grow or find for certain recipes. Sometimes the recipes require you to wait for something to ferment so you can’t finish until the next day, it keeps you playing. I do wish there was a way to buy some seasonal ingredients or fermented ones in the stores. I haven’t been able to feed my cat since winter because I can’t make roasted sweet potato or Kashiwa mochi until fall. She’s gonna leave me soon 😢Also I’m so grateful for the virtual pad on the new update saves so much time, and my fingers!

I quite enjoyed playing this game and made it quite far into game play on my macbook air (about 13 hours). Today I opened it on my iphone and although it said it was loading my progress it has set me back to the sart of the game. I quickly closed and exited the app hoping it wouldnt set me back on my computer too. Later in the day I went to open it on my computer and it had lost all of my progress there too. Quite dissapointing. Although I really loved the game and its old school rpg feel I dont think I will continute playing becuase I dont want to repeat the many hours I put into it. Quite sad as I was looking forward to seeing what was next for my character as the game progressed.

I absolutely love this game. I also recommended it to one of my friends and she became just as obsessed with it as I was. It’s so relaxing and once you get used to where everything is, it’s like you’re a part of the town. My issue with the game however (it’s super nitpicky) is that once you’ve gotten to about year 4, you kinda run out of things to do that you haven’t already done before multiple times. I still love the game and with the new pottery update I can fill the days a bit more. Maybe some new villagers could move in to give some new tasks or maybe to even start a family? I’m not sure but I’ll play any new updates cuz this game is 20/10

MINOR SPOILERS: I found that I really enjoyed playing because this game game me the ability to explore the way I wanted without overbearing me with information. There was always just enough to know what I need to do next but not so much I felt overwhelmed. I’ve made it decently far into the game and I’ve found that it’s relaxing and the days are pretty long. I highly suggest cooking food whenever you’re able. This allows you recover stamina MUCH easier. There’s no cap on how many resources you can collect. In a game like this that’s super nice. There’s definitely been a lot of thought and care put into this game. The NPCs are personable and enjoyable. I really do feel like a part of the local village.

This game is amazing. The thought put into it is detailed and must've taken a lot of effort because i nearly chose to delete my other games and only play this one just because of how peaceful and relaxing yet interactive and engaging it is. The only problem that i have with it is that i can only play vertically on my phone. I looked in the settings and i cant play horizontally. I think it should be an option, but I've worked on a game before and some small changes to the player aren't so small for the creators so if thats the case then sorry. Even with that, still a 5 star game and ill be playing for probably years and years to come.

Like many Apple Arcade games, this is one of the most poorly programmed pieces of software I have used over the last thirty years of my life. I have never seen an application on a closed ecosystem fail so many times and not be awarded a multimillion dollar contract, so at least that checks. In addition to endless crashes for any and all reasons, this clumsily and “carppy”-ly cannot handle cloud saving and constantly prompts the user in the middle of gameplay to pick which save file is current; that’s YOUR job. Infuriating and definitely not relaxing, especially to bother me with save files that differ by a few seconds. Apparently one of the intended minigames is “hope you tapped on what you want”. Very strange addiction-minded game design choices such as being unable to hold down an action to complete it and constant re-prompting like the beginning tutorial of a game. This was clearly originally designed with microtransactions in mind.

Your engagement helps me love the game even more! I was having a lot of fun with this game until I ran into a bug at the old houses task. Everything is FINALLY done except it says I have one sign to complete. The problem is that the signs are complete! One sign (south house) doesn’t show any writing but I can’t tell if there is a problem or if it’s facing the other way. Regardless, there is no option to do anything else to the signs. Please fix! There is no going forward without this task and I’m bummed.

I’ve been playing this game for two weeks now, and I’ve had a lot of fun. The game can be a bit frustrating at times, so I’ll give some advice to new players. First, plant the persimmon tree as soon as you can. Second, buy string. Do you think you’ve got enough string? You don’t; buy more string! I am looking forward to collecting the new clothing options. I hope the developers expand the trails that are currently inaccessible; I want to explore more of this world and meet new villagers! Thanks to the developers for their response to my original review. I started over from the beginning with what I had learned and had a much better experience.

Ok I have I couple of stuff I want to recommend fixing, and some stuff on how I would recommend. The pixel graphics on this game is so amazing! Also I wish you could change how the character looks (No, not the clothes) like hair and skin type! Also please change so when your pets want a certain type of food because some times it takes DAYS for too get it. Also please change the time clock to be faster, it’s really annoying waiting for the day to be done. Ether then that it’s a really awesome game, And it’s also very difficult most of the time but it’s fun I like a challenge! Anyways thanks for reading this!!

I love everything so far but I just need more! For example let us apprentice with the Shinto priest and monk so we perform big rituals festivals and take over the temples. Possible to Marry the stall keeper and have children. If ability to have home shrine to different kami and buddhas to raise our harvest and fishing. We could inherit the landlord manor if we max trust with him. Maybe become the major/village head ourselves small town builder mechanic as being in more tourist. If could to show our character going from farmer boy to man with career in the farm holding to the tradition by taking over the traditional roles from the town elders.

I rarely leave reviews, but this is the most incredible game I have ever played and everything I ever wanted in a slow pace simulation game. There are no ads and no purchasing options and it’s absolutely addicting and so, so much fun. Downloaded it last night and played till 1 a.m. - felt like a kid again. My only suggestion is to hopefully have customizable options for our little avatar person and more of an expansion and house decorations and stuff. Even if the game never changes I would still play it to my heart’s content. Thank you to the creators, it’s a beautiful and relaxing game.

Most games like this are idle games with increasingly long wait times to progress (designed for MTX). Thanks to the subscription model of Apple Arcade, this game is pure addiction. After over 40 hours of playtime, I have 2 suggestions/bug reports: (1) Selling Koi is bugged. This has been reported by many people on reddit. For me, I can give Kois to the Landlord, but can't sell a fully grown one to the Guy from the Village Office. (2) The Cooking King Medal requires 30 years to complete, since you can only make 1 ozoni every year. Please change it by either excluding it or lowering the required number to make it more attainable.

So far I am thoroughly enjoying this game. It's fairly slow paced which is really nice, however, the constant need to sleep between chores is becoming a bit frustrating. I'm also trying to play the game on multiple platforms (my phone/ ipad/ pc) and I was hoping to be able to use my controller (they're joycons) and they just aren't working. I've made sure that they connect and they seem to work just fine with other games that I am playing, so i don't know what is happening there. I'm looking forward to being a long time player. I hope that this doesn't become a redundant set of chores or that I am grinding away without feeling a sense of accomplishment.

I love this game! It’s a nice pocket simulation game when I’m away from my computer. I just have some small things that I think would go really well in the game. Character customization, more house customization (color of rooms). More seasonal differences (changes to the ground, snow all over the place) In the game you lose energy really fast almost too fast and lastly currency. Trying to come up with money for things in game is a little hard. Everything feels overpriced and I’m not getting what I “worked” for. Other than that it is a wonderful game and I hope to see more like it.

I honestly love this game. There’s no deadline on having to complete a task. You have a choice of picking what to do next or putting a task on hold to do something else. The art works look stunning. Fishing and bug catching are fun and quick. Everything is easy to navigate. Although I wish we can customize the character and having the choice of choosing the color of the dog (adding black and tan). Maybe having a shop that sell clothes would be nice. Also, where is the map? Still, If you like cozy farming game that doesn’t feel too ‘grinding’, this is for you. Very relaxing and cozy. I love it!

I enjoy this game a lot and how include a lot of details and I love the new clothes update but I find this game a little glitchy as once I talked to the dagashiya women and she only said xxx. Please try to fix this and also it is annoying when I have to wait so long just to be able to find stuff like wild asuki, and matsuke. Please make the crop waiting time shorter to 2 days because I have missed like 13 seasonal events just because I couldn’t harvest my crops on time. I love how you can now make clothes now and how we can finally design the clothes. Please please please add those updates and make the time you can find all the plants at least 6 months. Thanks! I just got this game a week ago, and I am absolutely in love. The graphics are amazing, and it’s such a peaceful yet fulfilling game. However, in the 1.2.0 update, the developers added the virtual pad. I am not the biggest fan of this, so it would be great to add it as an option to remove it in settings. I prefer touching to send my character instead of using the joystick. It also just makes it even more difficult to pick up any additional items. Overall, the game is amazing, but I would definitely consider adding an option (like a toggle on/off) to take the joystick out.

This game is filling a hole for me that Stardew desperately leaves every time I finish it. It’s cute and cozy and fun. I actually like that there aren’t many hints in it it makes it harder and makes it fun to look up Japanese customs or words to figure them out. The only thing that makes me play this so much less is that I can’t make my character go to sleep for the night at any time. There are just times where I don’t want to waste the clock until evening to pass time and it has kind of killed my motivation. I’ve gone way down to only playing for a few minutes a day.

The game is really fun, I love the cooking but wish it was more interactive? You don't really do much with it but it's still fun. The game just updated and now there's a joycon to move. Which is a good idea but it becoming annoying bc anytime I try to collect crops while swiping I start to move againts my will. It would be good if you could make that a option for the people who do and don't want it. I thinking adding a hunting feature in the mountains would be really great as well. That way you can cook more foods. But the game is great over all, just make it more interactive bc there's times when I feel like there's nothing to do besides collect trees and stone

A very enjoyable game, that is until I utilized multiple devices ( MacBook / iPhone ). Similar to another user who left a review here, it would appear the iPhone trumps the sync and all the progress I made while playing on my laptop was erased, we are talking about 8 hours of progress. It's clear the Developer has a bit of work to do in this area and as the other user indicated, deal breaker for me as well, you just can't allow bugs like that in software in 2023 I'm afraid. Outside of that, there are some serious screen jerking happening when you try to play on an Apple TV with controller. Pretty clear the game was built for iPhone first with decent port to MacBook and poor port to Apple TV. Game could really be something with some polish and a fix to your game breaking sync issues.

This game has a lot of good going for it. Gameplay is simple but rewarding and the loop itself is very engaging, making you come back for more. The only shortcomings of this game are the fact that I can’t use different control schemes without a controller. I would love to be able to play this game in portrait mode with onscreen joystick so I don’t have to tap at everything constantly. You can hook up a controller to your phone and do it that way, but the game stays in portrait mode so you still can’t see anything. Just add the option to change phone orientation and add onscreen controls and this game would be a 5 star.
