Banking with KeyPoint mobile is as easy as can be. The user interface is clear and simple, and the additional features like transferring money between accounts are incredibly user friendly and updated instantly. Thumbprint recognition enhances security to the next level. 5 stars, KeyPoint. Thanks for it!!
I am so sad that the new update has rolled out. It seems to have regressed to very early versions of the app, except it’s even worse. It looks like like mobile version, unfortunately, which is very bare bones and not nice to look at. The app even runs slower than previous versions in my experience. I do not like it. Would not recommend updating or downloading at all. I’ve been a member for a while now and this is definitely the worst iteration so far. The previous version was much better. They were going for parity between the mobile and app platforms but that’s a mistake, people can just use the mobile page since it’s the same as the app and wastes less space. There’s no discernible difference. I will definitely be on the app less now it is not pleasing to use.
Loved the original UI from before that ACTUALLY looked like an app for your mobile phone but somebody decided to change it to a website UI and it just went downhill from there. App loads a lot slower and doesn’t look very appealing, unlike every other banking mobile apps. And lately, this app works fine for a couple of weeks and then it just won’t open at all. You try to open the app but it closes immediately and the only fix I’ve found is to delete and redownload the app again. I tried contacting customer service through online chat and for some reason, they are asking personal info first before they can help me figure out what’s going on…you don’t need my personal info just to fix your app from crashing or not opening.
Keypoint itself is fine credit union. But it is painful having to use their app over the years I bank with them. It use to be a fine app too, felt like an actual mobile app with a nice gui meant for mobile. Stable and easy to do your expected transactions on it. But every overhaul update, it gets more unstable and the interface cruder and uglier by the year. It looks like a web browser than an app, crashes or fails to upload regularly, and can't support more than 2 biometric log in devices (why is that a thing?). Nearly every other CU I bank with have real, better apps that get better with each update. But KPCU gets worse. If they roll the app back 4 years, it be great. Now, its a chore and a bad one at that to use.
I’ll give this 4 stars because the app usually works great. Checking balances & transaction history, moving $, depositing checks. Weeks ago I had problem where didn’t seem to fully scan a check for deposit, error msg, tried many times, then saw trx history days later where posted to acct many times & was reversed appropriately (for 1 valid deposit). More importantly over past weeks I was unable to get app to load, said ‘can’t connect to server,’ but deleting and reinstalling app worked a few times. It let me log in today so hopefully will from here forward.
Since the revamp of the app, I’ve experience long load times and errors logging in and completing actions . App is no longer easy to use. The UI is just not good. Smaller fonts, less icon, more complicated than needed to get simple tasks done. The previous version of the app worked well. It was polished throughout the years. I get that this will eventually get better, but I prefer the old app. I’ll be using the mobile site on Safari until they figure this out. Upsetting because other bank apps have had it down for a while, but i personally would rather bank with a credit union.
I chatted with them about this and was told to remove and reinstall the mobile app even after answering that it was up to date. They think this fixed the problem but it often crashes fur awhile and the works again. I think there's a website problem when this is happening but no indication is given to the user that deposits can't be made during that period.
Testing on IOS should have revealed the challenges in updating one’s password in the iCloud keychain. The new app design makes it impossible to generate a new strong password and have it remembered in the keychain. I must now figure out a way recover my password and then save it in the keychain. Not what I wanted to do today when I just needed to check my balance. Please test this minutiae before you launch and identify these problems. You’re a banking app and this stuff is important.
Won’t let me log in because it’s throwing an error. Previously threw same week intermittently on bill pay. Three weeks with problem but no update. Also the UI for dollar entry is different depending on where you are in the app. Sometimes the decimal is assumed and sometimes not. Bill pay and deposits, for example, treat dollar entry differently. For a tech CU I definitely expect better.
Since downloading this version the app has been an unusable disaster. It would crash every time I tried to log in. After deleting and reinstalling I can log in but functions aren’t working. I tried to cash a check, but it crashed again. Now I have to drive to the credit union. It has also added Capcha to move around the app, making it harder to use than the website. Until a new version is released, I won’t be using this app.
This is a Great app! It helps me every week. Never have to deal with the ATM, can deposit my checks as soon as I get them in my hand. I can also check my accounts and keep on-top of my 4 different jobs, making sure I’m not being underpaid and I am paying everything off on time.
I realize screen space is limited but screen does not display balance in the transaction history view. You have to go to another screen to see the balance. Also for ATM withdrawals in the transaction list it would be useful to have a button lets the user submit ATM fee rebate request. Thanks!
I have used keypointcu app for long time. The new version looks good but Advertisements shown is sick. Too intrusive. Please allow customers to focus finance and not full screen advertisements
I’m an OF however my business is dependent on computers. I am constantly amazed at the hoops you have to jump through tp get things done (with the computers). Tried the ap for depositing checks for the business. Took the pictures, hit the buttons and......No indication of whether it was successful or not. Spent more time than it was worth to see if it did go through (could not get a yes or no from the bank. Ap is now gone.
I am glad they updated the app, however I am not a fan of how the app now seems to operate like a website and not an app. It is not as easy to navigate and the visuals are not are as simplistic as they once were. I liked how I could view my checking much better before the update.
It looks too complicated for a mobile app. It’s trying too hard to be the website. The old version was much cleaner and easier to understand at a glance.
This app is extremely easy to use which I like! But the problem is that it won’t let me deposit a check. It says “unexpected error” every time I try. Can you please fix that? Other than that this app is perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing!
The app stopped working a few days ago. I think it was after an update I didn’t ask for or approve. I launch the app and can’t even make it through the login before it crashes. Intolerable. I’ll wait a few days and see if it updates. If not, I’ll remove this garbage for good.
Current update is causing it to crash on launch every time. Unusable. IOS 12.4, iPhone X. Update: problem fixed by deleting and reinstalling. Still shouldn’t have broken.
I’ve already written once asking for the unsolicited ads (called offers) to stop, or at least give us the option to opt out of having them appear. The ads never stopped nor did I so much as get a reply. What I did eventually get was yet another ad page filling my screen upon logging in. Is anyone at KeyPoint listening? Do we the members have any say how we’re to be treated?
So I generally liked the app and found it easy to use. With the latest update, they have built ads for the bank into the app. So now I see at least two to three ads just while checking my balance, etc. This really ruins the user experience and is incredibly annoying!
I have been with KEYPOINT since I was 19. Back in the day, you had to be with an Employer that supported the Financial Instution. KEYPOINT Credit Union has always had my back as far as my Finances went. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND KEYPOINT as a Main source of Financial Backing!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE My Credit Union!!!💋❤️
This app is cool but there are always bugs needing fixing. This app quits unexpectedly on me a lot. Right now, after the most recent update, I can’t open the app. It gives me a warning about an untrusted certificate, I click ok on the warning, and the app quits itself.
Absolutely the worst bank ever, no one else even comes close. You will be blocked from online purchases, blocked from ATM's when you travel, blocked from buying gasoline while on the road. The more money you have in the account the more inaccessible the funds become, look elsewhere this bank is horrible!
How does a bank founded in the heart of Silicon Valley have the most horrid app?? It literally has a delay of 2 seconds before switching pages. Are we in 2003 keypoint? Lately it’s been asking me to confirm I’m a human in the middle of a session. I swear. Been banking with you for 20+ years. I’m really considering leaving.
Why is this app rolled back to a mobile web UI instead of the previous native UI? This mobile web UI looks and feels horrible. This is 2023, not 2013, please give us something nicer than a mobile web UI.
I keep trying to use the mobile deposit but every time I try to use it, it tells me it has already been deposited even though I just got it the same day.
Works great in a pinch. I do wish it had the ATM fee refund capability. Bill pay can be a bit challenging therefore I use my laptop. Overall it works great.
KP App crashes everytime I try to open it. No option to uninstall it, so I can try to teinstall the app. I have to go dlirectly to the website in order to login. No option for mobile deposit. Very frustrating.
The new redesign is a disaster. It took an excellent native app and turned it into a web view. You might as well just use the website. KPCU, roll it back to the old version! Update: The app now crashes on launch. It is unusable.
In this day and age when almost all apps display in both portrait and landscape mode, it’s ridiculous that this app will only display in portrait mode which makes it basically unusable on my iPad…
I downloaded the app because KPCU is promoting it via email. I can't even log in. I tried multiple times with correct password but got a cryptic error message each time. I will delete this piece of junk.
