Love it! Only wish LWC could figure it out and do the same! 🤦🏽♀️ log in, click pay bill, your information pops up, click pay bill… done! Less than 10 seconds start to finish to pay your bill. That’s how they ALL should be!! With this app you don’t have to memorize an insanely long account number that no one memorizes anyway, it’s already there. Font size and style are good size for all people. Cool colors and not too many things on the screen to make it less overstimulating. Probably the most user friendly app out there! Can find everything you need in seconds and don’t have to search through lots of clicking. Thank you!! Bill paying should not be near impossible to complete the task online like some companies make it! (LWC). And you can read everything on the page, it’s not in size 8 font impossible to see much less read like some do.
There are a few things that I feel like this app does well, like allowing you to report outages and view your bill. Granted, at the point when I last used the app, it appeared to basically be a wrapper for their mobile website. I get that that’s usually a cost effective option for the company but it’s usually at the expense of user experience. I also have problems with what I’d guess is one of its major features for LG&E: paying bills. On a consistent basis, the app will load a completely blank screen after I tap “submit payment.” It leaves me with no information to confirm that the payment went through or anything else. I’ve returned to using LG&E’s website to pay bills because the app, for me, is nonfunctional. Similarly, can LG&E modernize their payment system or something? It’s kind of terrible that the money is withdrawn from your account after you pay a bill 5-7 days after you submitted payment. There’s thousands of other companies that withdraw funds for a payment nearly immediately after it’s been submitted. Other than perhaps cost cutting measures, I don’t understand why my utility company can’t do that itself.
We have been without electricity for 4 days! My app says I have now have power, BUT I do NOT have power. We were away from our home, so we could not confirm until we got home. Luckily, we did not pack everything thing up from where we were staying before going home! Even after reporting I’m without power, verifying the outage map shows we do not have power, the APP still shows we have power!!! Come on…fix your reporting system!!!-
I sent a check out to this company on 14 February. And it is now 10 days later and it’s still shows they have not received my payment by mail. This is the second time this has happened at this company not receiving my payment and charging me a late fee, so I have now went online and paid, and if the check does show up and go through, then I will be charged again and overdraw my bank account.
Very easy & straight forward App to pay and view billing statements! Does exactly what one needs most in a mobile environment. HIGHLY recommend getting it and setting up payment out of your credit union or bank checking account. I guess one could set up AutoPay but I like controlling payments - especially as soon as the billing statement texts me. Kudos to the developer & the utility for using it!
This is a great app when it works properly. Sometimes you log in and with a few simple clicks are able to pay your bill. Other times it gives you an error message and won’t allow you to log in. This error message came up for months and I had to pay my bill at the ODP office. I deleted the app and reinstalled and it started working again. It worked fine for a couple of months but now I’m back to the error message again. Unfortunately ODP has closed their local offices so I’m guessing my only option is snail mail if I don’t want to pay a service fee.
I had to add someone to my account. I thought I had done everything correctly but it re-routed me back to the original screen and I had to add all of both mine and my husband’s account information. After that it was great just making a payment online. FYI: If you make a payment using your checking account information the payment placing is free. If you use a debit or credit card you are charged a fee. It’s the same for phone payments.
I like that I can have both my accounts on it. I can see my home as the main account but was able to add my garage account as well. With just a click I can change which account I want to check out. And being able to login real quick to pay my bill on the go when I forget to.
I wish I had never downloaded this app! Old data for a checking account I closed over 5 years ago migrated over along with the active account I use to make payments. The app defaulted to using the closed account but I had no idea until my payment was returned twice. Even though it clearly says it was due to the account being closed and I have explained everything to customer service, I now have a block on my account which prevents me from paying by check for an entire year, along with Lge’s returned payment fees. Zero stars for the app and the company!
I had my bill set to auto pay and sure enough it did not pay it. But when I tried to pay it prior to it being due (2 days ago) it told me not to OT I would be charged the auto payment and the manual payment. Please fix. My bill was late because of this and ruined my perfect bill record.
This app is extremely user friendly, full of all the things you’d want from your utility company and works flawlessly! Zero issues! So glad to have this! Perfect for customers who want to log in once and use an app, like me. I have no complaints! Thank you for this!
I was super excited to see this app, so I downloaded it and now can’t even login, keeps saying my credentials are invalid. Went to the online version, logged right in. For giggles I changed my password, went back to the app and tried again. I still got the same message.
I have enjoyed the relationship with L G & E the last 5 years. Being a phone company brat(mom worked for them for 31 years), I can relate to the families who have moms and dads working for utility companies. Any complaints will always be taken through proper procedures but I DEFINITELY enjoy the services that L G & E provides. Thanks for reading.
This app is not only super user friendly, it is helpful. I can pay my bill easy enough, but I can also report an outage and check the outage map. When the power is out, it’s hard to know the message is getting through. This app keeps reporting simple and gives me peace of mind. All KU customers need this!
Thanks for the app. It’s really nice to have this now to pay my bill and report outages and such. I’d love for it to be able to tell me the status of my budget plan too. Hopefully that’s a feature that can be added at a later date.
I love the fact that I can review my account and pay my bill directly from my phone. I hate that it takes a whole week before the payment is sent to my bank account. It seems the payment goes through quicker if I log in on KUs website and pay. System needs to be updated to do real time payments.
In the app when you click on Outage at the bottom and then select View Outage Map, the map comes up with a big flashing red “i” in a big red circle. Tapping on that brings up s message to view the map and more in the new mobile app. Hey, I’m in the app already. I’m finding your one star for that error.
This LG&E app is much easier to navigate than the website in my opinion. I find it is much easier to review all my account details and I can pay my bill in just a couple of clicks! Very convenient.
Looking at this app on my iPad is difficult. They designed the app in a way where it can’t be used to it’s full potential on any device bigger than a cell phone.
While LG&E has a site built for mobile, this app makes it much easier to get to the things that matter me. There’s less menus to click through and the experience is fluid. You should get this app!
The UI/UX is very clean. Super intuitive navigation. The one thing I had hoped this app would include is a way to self-report meter readings, as it’s a bit clunky via the website. Perhaps this could be added as an update?
The app needs to show current usage, not just previous bill totals and usages. I want to know whether or not I can turn up the heat. Update the app so that it’s actually useful. I can get previous months’ billing information on the website.
Love my KU app it tells me before my bill gets here what my payment is ‘ and there app is so easy to use PLUS you can pay your bill in like 20 Sec …. Love my kU and appreciate all they do !
Love the app for basic access to my electric info. I do wish that MyMeter was accessible through the app. Too many steps to access on the website, so integration here really makes sense.
I love the app! It’s very user friendly and convenient, especially in the event of power outages. You can link your account and even set it for autopay
This app makes is easy for me to switch between my home and my parents. I can report an outage for them if that was to ever occur. I love the Face ID support and the outage map!
The app is poor in allowing users to actually pay the amount that they wish to pay. The ability to edit a payment is very difficult if not impossible. This has caused me to pay and then find out the money is not available or even there.
Very sad that you have closed our local office. Everyone does not enjoy apps and online . Just another case of the downfall of society. For what you charge they should bring me flowers and pick it up at my front door.
