This is the worst rental company I have ever worked with. The house looked good moving in, but it was INFESTED with roaches and this becomes the renter’s responsibility. You call 3 times for a maintenance issue, then they schedule a visit without letting you know, then try to charge you $25. When I moved out, they charged me to cut the grass, which I had paid a company to do days before vacating, for AC filters, even though I left a pack of 2, to bring the garbage out to the curb, which I came back to do myself on garbage day, and for pest control, for an infestation you inherit when you move in. After receiving these charges, and sending a dispute via certified mail to the address provided for disputes, the letter was returned to me ADDRESS UNKNOWN. The reason I didn’t waste my time finding their office is because all you get are employees who claim to have no access or phone number to anyone in charge, except via email, and they claim they are emailing the supervisors every time you call, but you never hear back from anyone. I do NOT recommend, this company is a crook and a NIGHTMARE!
I had nothing but issues with this company. Upon moving in I was moving from out of state by the time I got to the house it looked much different than what was advertised. The fence was gone. The garage door was buckled. There was holes in the wall, a ceiling fan didn’t work the grass was up to my knees and weeks of nonstop, phone calls and complaints to get these issues addressed. It got so bad they put me in a hotel for two days and I came back to NO work complete. eight months into our lease. We now have a kitchen cabinet hanging off the wall with a minor child and pets in the house. I cannot wait until my lease is over. They want the house returned in great condition however it was never cleaned. The walls were filthy and pests left in the home are your problem upon moving in. I still have a cracked window where the maintenance man basically told me I have to pick my battles.
In live in Arizona, my AC went out in June I put in a work order and it took maintenance 4 days just to come to my house, he couldn’t fix the problem so he contacted a vendor to come out that took another 5 days the vendor came out and couldn’t fix the AC either. The part was on back order and will be in within 2 weeks. MSR never contacted me to make arrangements for temporary housing, nor did they bring portable AC units. I left several emails and voicemails requesting for an update. No one ever responds. It wasn’t until I contacted the City of Phoenix and filled a complaint against them, then they wanted to reach out to me. I had no AC in my home for over a month.
If you are thinking of renting from Main Street Renewal, don’t. Every maintenance request takes a minimum of 3 weeks to fix INCLUDING EMERGENCIES! There is no way to mark requests as emergencies. If you call and tell them it will still take 3 weeks. Our back door is open, will not shut or lock. Projected at 3 weeks to fix. I asked on the phone “what happens if I got robbed or assaulted in the interim?” No response. I asked “what would I do if my pipes burst and my house started to flood?” No response. Terrible company, not prepared to help tenants at all. Also the app won’t work.
We moved across country expecting the house we got accepted for would be at least livable. Nope. The power line was completely off the house, grass was chest high, and the house has water damage and bugs littering the entire floor. I’ve refused the house outright and have been in telephone limbo for the past 2 weeks. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone with authority since their internal team doesn’t even have telephones apparently. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM
Can not get your password reset, it is a constant loop back to the page to reset password again. I have never been able to actually successfully login to this app. And the MSR provides the same instructions which do the same loop. You need to do bette mr MSR, hire someone who knows what they are doing to fix this. If you want to be more automated, then you need a tool that actually works for your residents.
This app works about as well as the stupid Rently keyless entry app MSR forces residents to use. I can’t believe I rent from such an incompetent business entity. Seriously, who at MSR looked at this garbage and approved it for release because they need to be fired. App is completely useless. It takes 5-6 attempts to pay my rent EVERY month. Constant error messages. Forget about trying to contact someone at MSR through this app because it’s not going to happen… EVER.
Buggy app and it’s clear the developer has no intent to fix
This app has countless bugs and problems. I get a notice when I log in about not having API access, when I contacted the support team they told me to just ignore the error. I cannot access the resident document section because a loading indicator appears and never goes away. This is an amateur app at best.
This app is the worst ! There are a lot of missing things. The payment history is completely out of order . When making a payment it takes you to a sketchy web page. Definitely not user friendly! Please bring the old app back !
This is just another mobile web site packaged as an app. It takes a special kind of rush job to botch loading JavaScript and then have such poor error handling that you just blame it on a slow network. Pay your devs more man this is pathetic.
App says it a loading and says “we’re still setting a few things up..” but it doesn’t do anything other than that. Just stays on the same screen and never loads the app fully or take me to the login screen. Completely useless!
FIX THE MAINTENANCE REQUEST SCREEN SO I CAN LOAD PICTURES
Every time I try to submit a maintenance request and upload a picture or video it freezes on a white screen!!! I cannot submit a request without picture/video but it gets stuck when trying to do so. Very frustrating.
This is the least user friendly app I have on my phone. Missing info on certain pages. Can’t back out of pages. Constantly says nothing is due when you log in.
These guys make it a point to charge you for small violations before telling you what they are. They also didn’t come and fix our AC for a year. As for the app, it only works about 10% of the time.
The sight really needs to update their portal it’s ridiculous. Keeps denying password reset password , lets you in , logs you out and if you try to log back in . It’s says wrong password and locks you out . Please guys this is an ongoing issue with this portal.

App is horrible. Looks like it was designed by a 5th grade class. Keeps telling me my username and password are incorrect (when they work elsewhere) then doesn’t send the link to reset either of them. No response, of course.
