Was buying multiple tickets and my birthday is next month so I figured I might as well upgrade to Premier+. Logged on to the website, paid and it was upgraded instantly and reflected on the app instantly as well. The only thing I would suggest is that you make it upgradable from the app directly, it’s odd that I have to go to the website to do it.
There is a number of issues with the app, however the most painful is inability to actually purchase tickets. About a month ago I’ve tried to buy tickets but when processing payment the app had a pop up message that”smth went wrong try again later. I’ve tried 4 different cards and with the same result. The dumbest thing though that when you choose the seats they are “on hold” for some time and you can’t repeat the purchase once again as suggested so you have to wait for 20 minutes to get the same error. Eventually I bought the tickets on the website. What’s the point of the app then. Today i had the exact same issue. Deleted the dumb app
The watch now feature is great. Unfortunately the little row of movies does not show the title. Just a picture of the movie poster cover. Please add the movie title, the length of the movie and the rotten tomatoes rating. But at a minimum the title.
This app will NOT let me purchase concessions, even though the option is available within the app. I can purchase tickets, but every time I have tried to purchase concessions, I get a red banner that states there is a problem updating my order. I have signed out and back in. I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have powered off my phone and turned it back on again. I have logged off Wi-Fi and back on again. It still won’t work.
I do not understand why there is now a $1 fee per ticket for ordering online. You do not need staff when we purchase our tickets online so it saves Mjr money by lessening Their staffing needs. The extra fee does not make any sense and is frustrating.
There’s absolutely no flexibility in using the App to purchase tickets. I’ve had to get help from the manager several times. The price for convenience is not worth it when management can’t correct mishandled transactions. What’s the need when you end up having to email customer service?
This app always takes money out of my cards and declines it on the app. So when I put it on my card it automatically takes it out and still declined my tickets. And it pends on my account for days. To the point where it’s like I literally have to go in to buy my tickets, it’s also very inconvenient to do that and still take money out
Why is there a box to check “save my credit card” information and it never saves it? Every week I have to go in and submit my entire credit card information again. I would probably go more if I didn’t have to do that.
They need to fix this app., in continually gets errors. You then have to delete it and re down load. 98% of the time I have to delete this app. You cannot get the same seats you chose, they show as taken. Fix your app MJR, it’s very frustrating.
Worked a few weeks ago, now keeps saying 3 different credit cards are declined. Funny that they work elsewhere and show no attempted charges to the actual accounts.
The app won’t finish loading, won’t let me pass the logo… I’ve got tickets that I already purchased on here and can’t access them! The website isn’t working either!
Continuously tried logging in and it says “we are having trouble connecting to the server.” All my credentials are correct. I can’t even log on to purchase tickets.
Really? Not only do they force you to order tickets online or at the kiosk, now they are charging a “booking fee” for booking your own tickets? Absurd. Don’t insult us. Just raise the ticket price.
After using the new app it’s an improvement over the old app. The purchase process is more streamlined and it integrates with wallet. You can reset your password by selecting the menu icon in the upper left corner of the app, down at the bottom is the letter “i” in a circle. Select that and if you’re logged in there will be a selection to change password. The new password is not challenged so type it carefully. Yeah it’s not obvious but there is a way to reset your password.
The application would not allow us to move forward in the purchase process after we selected our desired seats. There six seats available in our desired row to accommodate our 2 seat purchase. Row configuration was 2 occupied, 3 available, 2 occupied, 3 available, 2 occupied. No combination of 2 seats together in either of the 3 available blocks would work. The app kept telling us we could not leave a single seat gap. If we wanted to sit on either side of the 2 occupied seats in the center of the row and have 2 available seats next to each of us the app thought that would be fine. Interestingly enough going to the web site I was able to make the desired seat selection without a problem, but for other reasons was not able to complete the purchase. After the fail on the mobile app and with the website, we decided to go to another theater to see our movie this morning.
Haven’t used the new app to purchase/reserve seats yet so I’ll reserve final judgement until I go through the procedure. App is intuitive to navigate and feels like a solid update over the previous app though I’m not sure why that one needed to be updated. If it works great why fix it? Curious to know what the difference is between Premiere points and Premiere dollars. My beginning Premiere dollars total on the new app don’t match the current totals on the old app (went from $43 to $38) in the transition, did I forfeit $5? I’m not understanding any of the numbers in the new app, they sure don’t match what I had accrued in the old app. Does it now take 72 points instead of 50 to reach that $5 reward? I think your new app needs to state the requirements for achieving rewards somewhere, right now I can only guess because I haven’t seen it stated anywhere.
As a developer I love the flow and layout of this new app, I do see some bugs and issue to be worked out but nothing out of ordinary that comes with a whole new redisn. One suggestion is the color scheme on seat selection could be better the black and gray choice makes it hard to see for people without perfect vision and if you had low contrast mode on your phone it’s even worse, and I know eimage has the same color scheme and it’s there number one complaint. Also I get that you migrating sites over so not all show up yet, but as someone who worked on a project where customer did not bring all there store over right away the damage from reviews during that transitional period took years to reverse so get the sites as fast as you can.
I was very confused why my theatre disappeared off of the app. I was relieved when I found out that there's a new app that actually fits my phone's screen. So far it has been much better than the old app. The only flaw is that there are only two theatres. I'd assume they're working on porting over all other theatres though.
Okay. I was able to figure out my premier rewards account and select my preferred theatre but when I went to select my favorite seat it said I wasn’t allowed to sit with a gap in seats?! I know you want to maximize seating and encourage groups to sit together, but you snooze you lose. If I preorder I get to pick WHATEVER seat I want, especially if I’m ordering one ticket. If I want to sit on the end, I should be able to sit on the end vs. being sandwiched between two groups of people. I’d like to be able to choose where I sit. That’s the point of preorder and CUSTOMER SELECTED seat assignments.
Just like others have noted, I’m mot able to select the two seats that I want and I get the nessage “Please reselect your seats without leaving single seats either side of your selected seats”. I’ve never had this issue before. I’m trying to see the Lion King. I’ve tried the mobile app and the MJR website. Just to satisfy my curiosity, I selected a different movie and there was no issue. Obviously, this “no single seats” policy is intentional for certain movies. I think it’s lame. I should be able to select the seats that I want. We’re going to our local Star Theatre for this one.
I don’t like the new app very much. The old one was way more easier to navigate. The new app doesn’t even have the option where you can see all your rewards you’ve received. It doesn’t show how many remaining points left you need to get that $5 reward. The old app, you needed 50 points to get that reward. But the new app doesn’t tell me that. The new app doesn’t have the option to mange our account profile or add a payment method. We could easily add our payment method on the old one. Idk how to even do that on the new one. I have no idea why they even released this new app without completing all of its issues. Fix them first then everyone will be happier
