The options that the app offers are incredible! But sometimes it just doesn’t. It won’t open. Or it just shuts down and goes back to the home screen unexpectedly. The first time I used it was to submit some documents for proof in the 11th hour, and it kept saying done! Done! Then it would go back to the home screen. In the end I learned that it was not done! and my proof was not submitted on time and my benefits expired. Very frustrating. But when it does work, it’s amazing that you can do this through the app!
My Access app malfunction, customer service inadequate
When attempting to enter My Access app, login buffers once then does nothing. Login information is correct. I have done all the standard self-help procedures including delete and reinstall. This has been a consistent problem for several months. I am using iPhone 13 Pro and iPadOS 17.5.1. When I called Forward Health for assistance the operator said he had no way to help, that assistance with passwords was all they do. He suggested the problem was likely the connection or an old device. I could hear him flipping sheets of paper to look for answers so asked if there was a supervisor or someone who might have more answers. He said no, not for a problem like this. Frankly, that is just lame. The app was apparently updated just a month ago. In the meantime I am having to do my annual review for Food Share without the app tools that are normally so great! In sum, the app doesn’t begin to work at all and customer service is inadequate!
I have used this app to upload documents in pdf and jpeg and they were marked as received however when I called first off the “CONTACT US” butten connects you with forward health so if you have a enrollment issue you are through to the wrong department. Second major flaw is that the documents that I uploaded were marked as received and no more documents were required of me (according to the app) however this was incorrect information and the documents were still outstanding, causing a lapse in coverage. Please develop this app to be more in sync with the information put out on the access website, and fix the upload issues since family’s healthcare and food budget can be easily disrupted by this faulty app.
Oh my goodness—I wish all user interfaces were this clean, easy to use/navigate, and comprehensive! I just discovered this app exists, so I’m a little bit behind here, but I can’t imagine ever having the same levels of stress I’ve experienced via calling/in-person reviews in years pst. This is so ridiculously easy to use and convenient—I’m really grateful for the designers that put this into place. This app is one less stressor in a system that can really be challenging to navigate. Great work!!
Frustrating! App freezes while uploading documents. I’ve been trying to successfully upload more than 3 pages for over an hour. Update 3:50pm - Finally looks like the app was able to hold 4 pages without freezing. I pressed submit to get at least those 4 pages to Milwaukee Enrollment Services....I still have 6 more pages to submit, but I didn’t want to push my luck. Okay, I took screenshots showing the app submitted my 4 pages. I then logged out of the app - waited a few minutes, then logged in again. After 7 tries (!!!) I got the app to accept images of 6 more pages to submit. Again, I took screenshots showing my submission was successfully sent. I then opened the Submissions page, where there should be proof of my Submission #1 (4pages), and Submission #2 (6 pages)... I’m worried because it’s only showing the second submission... Now I must call Enrollment Services for the third time today to see if they can see both of my submissions of documents. ***App should generate an email to me, a receipt showing exactly what it submitted - so I have proof that I uploaded and submitted specific documents!
I’ve been have major issues with my hands since 2020- still. Have to hold the camera steady is very difficult for me. It took me a while to figure out. I had to first figure out how to download Adobe. Now that I know how to get into MyACCESS and how it works. It will make it much easier to keep up with any information. Do to my hands and back issues. I lost my benefit food share even after calling and making calls to state and federal agencies
I have had so much trouble with enrollment the past 3 years before using this app. What a headache! But now it is easier and faster than ever. I don’t know how long this app has been available but I just discovered it a few weeks ago. Re-enrollment only took 10 minutes this time and I was done! I haven’t had anymore delays because I can now instantly see which documents are missing and scan them right in with my phone. SO MUCH EASIER. Thank you for getting up to date with technology!
Very straight forward and to the point. UI is clean and easy to navigate. Very easy to check the status of all the benefits you receive as well as see any documentation they need submitted. It would be nice to have more in depth options- such as seeing the actual documents you’ve submitted recently. Just a thought for a future update possibly? Definitely appreciate the app!! Keep up the good work of helping people in Wisconsin!!
Super easy to use this app and saves me so much time and money because now I don’t have to go to the library or a printing place to fax documents even if it is only a couple dollars....u just take a picture of your documents or proof and that’s it! U sign in and it only takes a second to load. I love using the app, will never go back to faxing lol thank u for creating such a easy and convenient app for my life!!!!
I no longer have to go to the library then go pay to fax documents. This app is user helpful and easy to use. I’m so glad they came up with this. Definitely saved me a headache, not to mentioned I called the office today and my call was never answered so I’m happy to do things through this new app! Two thumbs up!!
App is handy for submitting apps and reading your documents, seeing what’s left for SNAP, but unfortunately I’ve found that’s about the limit. YourTexasBenefits app which I was using before I moved from TX to WI will do all that as well as let you see the details of your case, exactly what benefits you get and if you get SNAP, exactly how much and when. I’m sure there’s more it can do, I just can’t remember off the top of My head.
I overall love this app as I do find it helpful. My only complaint is lately when I try logging in it stays at the log in. It will say I am logged in but I am unable to view my benefits. I try swiping to the menu and clicking on it but it won’t work. It won’t show my forward health card or anything. Please fix this! I really liked this app and found it very helpful.
It’s hard to find customer service or people that care, and this app really helps solve both of those problems. If you can’t figure out the app, you can just call the number and the people are as nice as can be, and that’s unusual in this day and age.
Love the app! The gov’t is stepping up & becoming more modern in WI! I could not access the app just now though. I am getting a message that my connection is bad and the network cannot connect. All my other apps work just fine though. Wonder what is holding it up?
Upon start up, app requires an update, but update never happens. Loads app store link to app but only gives option to start app. Deleted and reinstalled multiple times. Hopefully gets ironed out soon, my case has been in pending status for a while now. Thank you.
Document submission is sketchy. Cuts off parts of the documents and doesn’t give you the option to select the dimensions or crop yourself so it doesn’t cut off. Freezes when you attempt to submit documents, to the point you have to force close and relaunch. Especially if it’s a document it wants to crop. Been trying to submit something for several hours but it crops too much out.

I used to find this app very useful and helpful-until it stopped working. I had to create a whole new account as instructed by a customer service representative and it still doesn’t work. I’m not willing to be on the phone in the queue for the amount of time it usually takes to reach a tech person for help that turns out to fail at fixing the problem anyway either anymore. That’s why I only gave it one star.
Ive used this app easily for several years. Now it won’t show my benefits. It doesn’t acknowledge that I’m logged in. I’ve changed the password numerous times now realizing i was already logged in. Please fix it!
I’ve used many phone applications with cameras. I’ve never seen a camera that was so efficient and produced such an accurate picture. Seems like this part diversity government is working really well. Hopefully the rest will get is modern and efficient as this app is.
This covers all the bases that my mobile browser was hanging up on. Just beware, you need to click links for navigating instead of swiping to go forward or backward.
I received an email message stating that a letter was available and to access it in the app or on the website. I should find the letter in the “Manage my Email” section. I cannot locate this section, therefore cannot read the letter. Which means that benefits may be denied. Snail mail is too slow for such information therefore it is vital for the app and website to function properly and contain the needed functions. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, however the problem persists.
Tried uploading a document. This ap only allows for uploads of photos, so i tried taking screencaps of my documents, which the ap would not accept. Tried emailing images of my pdf to my phone to upload, the app cropped out 90% of the image. Ended up just directly uploading photos of my computer monitor only to get the same cropping issue. Froze several times and had to be restarted, and a couple times i got errors saying the servers are inaccessible. Broken and useless.
This was my first time using the App and I had to call customer support to get started. They were really helpful and friendly and once I got into the App it was really easy to use!
I downloaded the app to try and get access to all of my information and update everything due to not being able to open the website. Come to find out this app also won’t load or even give me the option to log in or create an account, it just pulls up a blue screen. So disappointed. Would give zero stars if I could.
I would’ve given this app 5 stars if it wasn’t for the screen going dark every time I select photos to upload. I’ll get an “Oops…” error message. Other than that it’s a convenient way to submit my documents.
Thank You for a convenient way to supply needed documents during a pandemic I am sure it is saving many Workers and recipients from getting Sick while allowing Us to provide information so We can keep Our benefits
The letter says I can pay the Medicaid premium on this app but I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find it. It would be a lot easier to pay through the app instead of going to the website.
App freezes when uploading documents. I’ve uninstalled and re installed the app over and over trying to upload docs using this app? DONT! You’ll be extremely frustrated and it’s a waist of time. Really annoying when trying to get things done and your phone freezes so you have to completely log out and back in to try and upload docs again... and to do that over and over and over for an hour.
When I FINALLY caught on that the phone app was the ONLY way to upload documents it went smoothly. I think there are too many places to click on that refer to adding documents. This needs to be simplified - especially for us computer illiterate. Oy.
Why won’t my app open for me? I know my information is correct because I can log into the website itself. Right now they’re pushing for me to get a life alert and I don’t want that. even tried taking the app off and putting it back nothing please fix that I’m going crazy
When uploading a photo it takes less than half of what you need and cuts everything off! There is no way to send the full sheet of paper/document that I need !!!!
Document submission and System Requirements below standard
I use Apple OS and the document submission is useless. Consistently cuts out, stops working when adding documents, or after scanning in a few pages of my VA paperwork. Milwaukee county is a nightmare as it is, and this apps developers make the whole process even more infuriating. Listen to the people that telling you the app has a deficiency, fix your subpar coding, and resolve the frequent complaints about this portion of the app. Too easy!
I am so glad this is available it is so hard to get in contact with someone at the office. You will be on hold for hours and then someone will pick up and hang up. Thanks again
There’s no update available. Last update was 5 days ago on my iPhone, but it’s still asking me to update it. Please fix ASAP as many of us have deadlines to turn documents in.
The check stubs are sent in a pdf if we could upload it instead of print then photograph them and then upload it would be great Also if everyone could pay premium for MAPP it would save time
Works well except for one major thing: the “submit” button. It’s green, it’s at the bottom center of page, therefore it looks like you should click it after every page submitted. But, no! If you do this, it closes your submission and you can’t get back in!
I’ve attempted to upload my document several times now, each time the app has frozen not allowing me to submit or return to a working page. It’s also not stated on Access Wisconsin’s website that this is the only way to electronically upload documents which resulted in several, long calls before someone informed me. And now I still can’t upload.
There are quite a few bugs with this app it’s great but there is an issue with viewing health cards and when you go to the log in screen it doesn’t show your benefit details
My documents don’t always get uploaded when they need to. I’ve had to upload documents three and four times before they will be accepted but the department doesn’t tell you that the documents haven’t been accepted so you just loose benefits and then you have to argue with someone from the state.
Unable to upload documents thru the app- when I go to the website to upload the document there, it syncs with the app, but after 24 hours, there is no trace of it ever being submitted. - I do get a confirmation number though.
It would be helpful if I could access my FoodShare balance on this app, when more $$ will be out on etc. Honestly it is what I thought I would be able to do and why I downloaded it. Sometimes getting on the phone to check the balance isn’t possible
I used to use the app no problem but for a while now it won’t open. I changed password etc and it won’t open. There’s no online option available via the web so I literally have no access to the info I need from the app. All updates are current.
