I registered online via my laptop. Documented my password and downloaded the app for convenience. After multiple tries I kept getting an error message indicating it was the incorrect login credentials. Figured I messed up so tried “forgot password” on the app, to which I received a response that no account was found with my information. So I tried registering again and I got an error message saying an account already existed with my information. It was Friday evening so customer service was closed. Called Monday, and the rep couldn’t find my account so we created it. Was able to login on my laptop, tried logging in on the app and same error messages again. I deleted the app and reinstalled thinking it would fix itself. Still no luck. I’ve had numerous health insurance plans with apps, this by far is the worst health insurance app. From other reviews, I’m not alone.
Half a star maybe if I could ever log into the app
I’d give this app a zero if I could. I’ve been locked out of my account 4 times because the app refuses to let me reset my password. My employer doesn’t give out physical insurance cards but they allow you to request them in the app. Only problem with that logic is I can’t get into the app in the first place. I’ve called customer service and requested a physical copy at least twice but have yet to receive one. My sincerest apologies to anyone who’s employer/school insurance makes them use this app.
I opened a MyAmeriBen account using my computer. It works ok (using Chrome, IE browser has issues connecting to Chat Support Session-will not connect maybe other issues as well. I downloaded the corresponding MyAmeriBen App on my IPhone. I attempt to log in using exactly the same User/password as I use for my MyAmerben computer account. It doesn’t work and states my log in is incorrect when it is not. When I attempt multiple times then it locks out my computer account. Ameriben states there is no problem on their side: UPDATE: I changed my password and now both the App and computer website I can log into
I had downloaded this app and it had been working with no issues…until one day it didn’t! Like other reviews it now states it cannot connect to the server I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling it but it still does not work! If I use my safari and go to the Ameriben website I can log into and connect there but again the app is useless at this point. I keep checking the App Store to see if they will issue an update to fix whatever went wrong with the app but again nothing…
I created a Ameriben account on my laptop and then downloaded the app. When I attempted to login through my phone it kept saying my password was wrong. I click on “Forgot Password” which crashed the app and closed it. After 3 attempts I realized it wasn’t worth my time to fight with a poorly built app.....and my phone didn’t need to be rebooted as I had done that earlier in the day.
Previous access issue has been fixed. I deleted the old AmeriBen app and reloaded the new one. Now have ready access to records. I haven’t delved into the app enough to give 5 stars yet, but for now gets 4 stars for ease of use, and quick access to claims.
Similar to others, I was stuck in a feedback loop of creating an account. I could not “submit” my account information to create an account. Not a great experience. Especially since I only have a smartphone and no access to a desktop
I just downloaded this app today! I have used the same log in information that I use online when logging in on my computer. It tells me “Can not build trust communication with servers. (SSLTLS001)” and this is the app for iPhone so what’s up with this!!! I’d give it no stars but it want allow that!
Northside Hospital should be ashamed of themselves for doing business with a back alley type of a vendor that has an archaic app that serves little value to their network of employees/patients. Pretty pathetic when they turn their back on their own hospital plan members/employees with this nonsense of a benefit manager. Amateurs at best.
Every time i try to login it says “Mobile login not supported”. I can sign in on every other device so I know i have the correct login information. Please fix this I should be able to access my cards on my phone. Ridiculous
Just a very bad web view, doesn’t work well at all, traps you in deadens and you have to force quit the app to get out. A new low for health apps and I’ve seen a number of them, none anywhere near this bad.

This app is broken. Every time I sign in I get an error message stating “can not build up trust communication with server”. Guess I’ll need to get a copy of my I’d card online rather than the app.
What a waste of time. Consistently get a “can not build trust with the server” error message.” Can’t seem to search for a doctor on web browser so what do I have to do, waste my time and call around. How ridiculous. FIX THE APP
They should be ashamed and embarrassed by this app. This is health care app. Broken links, can’t go back to a page so you have restart the app. Menus are confusing and the design looks like a high school cs class made it.
This is the absolute WORST app. Any time I get locked out, it never sends me an email to reset my password. I would never waste my time with this app if I didn’t have to. Horrible.
Consistently have issues logging in even when I enter in the correct password. App tricks you into thinking you have the wrong username or password. Will cause you to get locked out of your account after just a few (falsely) failed attempts - not to mention it makes you rest your password (which you can’t do because you are locked out). A real catch 22.
I was able to create my account on the website, but the app’s two factor authentication will not send a verification code to my email address. It will not receive a code from a verification app either. Worthless.
