MyPoints: Cashback Rewards

As I read from another person you complete a study and then after you finish and submit it it gives you the 5 points instead of what you should’ve gotten. Also I have done several of the discovery items they tell you to do but them don’t get the points for them. I’ve lost over 6000 points due to this happening and when I reported it sometimes I get my points back sometimes they don’t even respond to my emails, some the help section doesn’t let you send the complaint and sometimes they give you the run around and you still loose the points. I’ve made a lot of money off this app so overall I have no problems with it I just quit doing the discovery points

I have belonged to my points for many years now. Last year I downloaded the app to my phone and everything was fine. It was so easy to use the magic receipts for in store shopping. A month or two ago they did an update and magic receipts are no longer easy to use. Tonight I can’t even submit my grocery receipt which would have five items on it. I have been able to upload my receipts since the update (with difficulty) , but now it won’t let me do that. I’ve closed and restarted the app and even turned off my phone. Usually when you want to submit a receipt, you first select the store. Then the products you bought. And then upload the receipt. Now when I click on submit receipt, nothing happens. If they would correct this and better yet make it as easy as it used to be, then I would give it five stars because the program itself is very good.

The whole My Points things is great, as long as it works and you don’t need any type of customer service. I have been trying to contact an actual HUMAN for over a month now. My issue is with the surveys and the fact they have blocked me from completing surveys (inconsistent responses and “under review”, although the “review” seems to be taking months). I tried writing an email and explaining my husband took a survey so the answer went from female to male. All other answers were truthful. But, they want me to send a picture of my passport or license. I don’t just send pictures of my ID online. My bank doesn’t even ask for that. If they want to put in security questions like the bank (mother’s maiden name etc…) I’d be open to that. There are many other similar sites that have timely customer service, Rakuten being one of them. I hear from them within days when I have an issue. I will be sticking with them.

I left an earlier review they responded like they cared and wanted a “ticket number”. I have been going through a circus of bots, redirects to their FAQ page, resubmitting my information, they DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM round and round, verify your phone number, use their AI software to verify your ID, verify your PayPal account this crap has been going on for MONTHS. It is fraudulent, misrepresenting what and how they pay, who they are you go down a rabbit hole for discovery points that never appear, regardless of what you send them as proof, you are in a useless chat bot World, they do not pay I could probably send them DNA, arrive in person at their headquarters’s with the IRS and FBI in tow and ready to verify me. They would send a bot out to ask what the freaking ticket number is! Keep in mind there is no ticket number and when a bot can’t handle your concern they tell you it will take up to 30 days for a response, I am going on four months for a resolution. Plastic People all around.

I just signed up this month & everything was going okay until I clicked through to a Promo that had high points offered and completed the ask of signing up for a $15 recurring monthly donation. I received immediate confirmation from the organization showing my payment with a confirmation number. I took a screen shot of it in case the email they sent somehow got lost in my junk folder. A few days later I noticed that the entire activity did not even show up in my Ledger at all, much less were the 8,000 points pending for it. I submitted my issue using the App, but it wouldn’t allow me to upload the photo I took as proof / confirmation I completed the activity. I am currently waiting to hear back & will update my review once the matter has been addressed & my account is properly credited.

Overall, it’s been good for earning points for shopping and daily polls. However, you have to remember to click the icon when shopping online. They are times I’ve clicked it, yet I don’t receive the points. It’s very hard to get them back when you reach out to customer support so I don't even try anymore. Just gotta remember to check throughout the checkout process because it sometimes didn't register. Also getting points using their search feature never works for me so I lose out on those points as well. Worst are the timings for surveys, they're often longer thank stated.

So, my actual rating is 2.5 stars. I have not experienced any issues with the actual app, however, my rating is influenced by MyPoints as an operating business as well. I have issue with trying to get my daily goal and completing surveys that say they are 7-12 minutes to complete and in reality, they consist of a 7-minute qualification survey then the actual survey takes at least 15-minutes. I would say only 25% of the times are close to being accurate, the rest are way off. And, the discover deals...some will say "you must indicate 'yes' to get points," but yes to what? And why can't the Perk points always be posted and posted correctly. Too often they are wrong or not posted on time. Inconsistency is very off putting!

I have been using this app for more than 10 years so obviously I like it. Response to most problems is good. But I have have a recurrent problem and there is no avenue to report it. I use an iPhone. Sometimes I have spent a long time on a survey, and been interrupted briefly, and the survey disappears with no way to get back in. It appears in the Ledger as visited, as if I left it. People have a life and interruptions occur. I use another survey app and it does not have this problem. Please, I feel as though I have lost a lot of time, often on surveys I care about. Is there any way to recover a survey after the screen goes black?

I received a $100 gift card virtual and I have tried everything to get to use it. At Walmart they said unless it has a barcode it want work, I asked about keying in the numbers and they said it would only use a barcode. I tried at home to use the card when I ordered online and it was denied. I tried using it at an Old Navy store and once again it was denied. How do I use it and who can I contact about helping me? I also put $10 in my PayPal account and I can’t figure out how to use it either. I would appreciate your help. Thanks, Karen Rogers

Been a member for over 10 years and I really do enjoy the site and app and my cash outs are always quick and everything has worked well, up until recently. Not getting credited for some Discovery activities, and a few were games that took some time to play. When I click on missing points, it asks for screenshots that have the time and date in them??? There’s no way to have the time and date in them, unless there’s something I don’t know. I could send shots of the game and level I’m on but not the date. It’s disappointing.

I’ve been using this site for years. My information changed recently (husband retired, income decreased, etc) so I have been answering survey questions according to my current situation. Suddenly, on the page where there should be surveys, I get a message that says some of my responses are inconsistent with previous responses so they are restricting my access to surveys. So I sent them an email that some of my info actually HAS changed and they just keep sending back (3 times) an automated response that they are unable to reactivate Gold Surveys on my account. It also looks like they have deleted all my streak points for meeting my daily goal 24 days in a row up to that point this month. I’m very disappointed since I have been on this site for many years and have never answered surveys dishonestly.

I’ve used this app for a few years, despite how clunky it is. After I cash in the few points I have left, I’m deleting it. Half of the time it doesn’t work (tap on a feature & the little icon just spins & spins). Then, if you need customer support, you have to use their menu that only lets you ask for help on an activity you’ve completed. General assistance with app problems-forget it! If you don’t have a “ticket number” they bounce your message back to you telling you to go back & use their special menu to get a ticket. Nowhere can I find a way to report that the app isn’t working. I use other apps for shopping rewards, and their level of customer service is really good. Not this one. DO NOT USE THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE TIME FOR MINIMAL REWARDS WITH NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT

I have been waiting a long time for MyPoints to get an app. So excited. I’ve been a member since 2000. I’ve never had issues with the web site hoping not to have them with the app. So far I encountered one glitch during a survey I clicked to actually read the privacy terms and was not able to return to the survey after reading them to agree. So that was a waist of time. The site itself is legit and does give you gift cards. Most are e-cards only now but for 19 years I haven’t not received what I redeem. Update to my thoughts... They’ve made a lot of changes to MyPoints in general that are NOT good. Not allowed to use coupons on sites or gift cards. That is not cool. After being a member for 19 years I will be searching for a new rewards place.

As others noticed, some surveys that are completed should be given the points promised but instead users only get 5! I have this problems too. Plus the receipts I scanned, items on them that should be counted weren’t count, if I asked for review, I never get back anything! My purchases also didn’t counted. Especially from best buy/Macy’s (big bucks!). I started Mypoints a decade + ago and over the years, they made it harder for customers to get points unless you buy what their sponsors offered! Surveys are too lengthy for pre qualification and then it just got dismissed with no points though that’s you first one for the day. Receipt scanned now is only 2 points instead of 3 before, if you have items qualified for points on one receipt, it limited to only 10 items but not all will be counted!! Overall they’ve became worsened with amount of points they owed users that are very concerning. I would not recommend this app anymore to anyone like I used to.

(This is all personal experience and not a paid promotion) Iv had the app about 2 weeks and only used it in idle, and with the points I accumulated equaled out to a 25$ gift card, while I was skeptical at first and quite a few said I was wasting my time. Paired with the possibility of a 7 day wait I believe, I was starting to doubt I would get my reward. However I received it within 48 hours and had zero issues trying to redeem or use the gift card. This is one of my top “reward” apps

This app gives the most ways to earn points. However, sometimes they ask for too much info, such as your driver’s license or military ID but, you can decline, which I have. Also I find that, when I remember to do the daily 5, after a few days I get kicked back to Day 1. Maybe I’m doing something wrong 🤷‍♀️, but it’s frustrating. Overall though, this is a good app because it offers so many different ways to earn points.

I love my points, but in May I turned in 15,000 points for $100 Visa card. I didn’t get to activate as my husband went to the hospital. I actually forgot about it for a while. Then the bills were coming and I remembered I had my $100 and it wouldn’t let me activate it. I have messaged them through Facebook and nothing. I’ve been trying to get my card for several months and nothing. Very disappointed. Just wish they would actually answer me and help me. If I don’t get it soon I’ll be canceling my account and telling everyone that I got to join MyPoints to deactivate them. Not worth answering question and taking my time and not getting rewarded.

MyPoints is an awesome survey website, it pays better than Eureka Surveys however it gives rewards slower than Eureka Survey does. Eureka lets you redeem at 5 dollars and the reward you choose goes in the mail and you get it almost immediately. MyPoints takes awhile to process the reward, so it can take up to a week. However, MyPoints offers lots of options and they pay very well. would choose both apps, they both are good.

Not sure what happened but I was using this app and was getting a fair amount of surveys and enjoying it much more than other online survey websites, when all of a sudden I went to log in again through the app and it told me my account was deactivated. I tried then logging in through the internet and it said that my account was under review and they would get back to me in 48 hours. It’s been almost a week and I haven’t heard back from anyone. I’m not sure what happened as I had about $5 worth of rewards to redeem, but it logged me out and seems to have deactivated my account before I could actually redeem it. If someone could contact me about this, I would definitely be willing to change my rating or review of this app.

I did two bank offers. One of them was the Discover bank offer of signing up and depositing $50 and the other was one where you had to sign up for any bank from the ones they had listed and deposit any amount. I completed both, but my points never even reached the pending section. I contacted customer support about these two offers and they only rewarded me for one offer and then told me they won't reward me for the Discover bank offer because there was no proof of me completing it even though I provided a screenshot. I feel this is really unfair and am highly unsatisfied.

I though this was a great app at first. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks. I uploaded a receipt and got almost $5 (in points) on the account. Watched several videos and almost had enough to cash out PayPal after a short period of time. I tried to log back in and it said my account had been disabled. I emailed support and they gave me no answers as to why my account was closed beside “it looks like you violated our terms and conditions”. I asked for specifics and they said the same exact thing and said the final decision was to keep my account closed and deactivated! Funny how people actually use your app, upload receipts, watch videos and is close to cashing out and it shuts off. Ok.

I use MyPoints to get points for shopping. I’ve been using the full website for over 15 years and loved it. This mobile app is... useless. When you click through to a store and try to shop, the checkout buttons are impossible to get to, or are hidden altogether. Some work, some don’t. Mostly... they don’t. Just this week I went to a certain shopping site (after clicking through the mypoints app first) but all the checkout buttons were hidden so I had to refresh and load the non-mobile version of the website and it must have kicked me off Mypoints. Missed out on 1000 points. Basically, most shopping websites become impossible to navigate once you click though MyPoints.

Overall I really like My Points. If there is a problem they get right back to you. However as someone else commented there were times I did a survey and didn’t get the points it said I would get. Just the 5 points for “trying to do a survey”. I have been using my rewards for gift cards for my daughter. She didn’t want anything for her 25th so every time I get enough points she gets another gift card. 2 for CVS and last one wax TJMaxx

Once I realized you could get paid for uploading receipts, taking surveys and things like that, a friend of mine recommended I download My Points! This is probably the second money making app I downloaded and it’s definitely my fav! I’ve been able to cash out for gift cards three times already. I know not everyone is a fan of surveys but there’s more than one way to earn points. That’s what I like about the app!

Like this program, it’s not rocket science but not the easy to actually earn some money. Some daily tasks are easy and take very little time. Surveys are pretty finicky and don’t often truly credit after you’ve completed more than 75% it’ll sometimes still kick you out :( Some of the Bingos can be worthwhile. Magic Receipts is probably the best money/point making part.

The app is getting worse. I got a response to my first review to contact developer. I tried nothing works. I received an exclusive email offer for 1600 points upon completion of 10 surveys. Did not get the 1600 points. When I first joined, they said join and get a $10 reward did not get the $10 reward. I just listed the first and last problem. There are many more in between. You have been warned. I believe they have an AI program that responds to your requests. The AI program just gives the amount of points on your ledger page. so if you request more points, even if you have proof, nothing will be done.

I have used MyPoints for several years. In the last year I have upped my game. I ran into a few bugs, but in the past few months it has been horrible! I can no longer take surveys and many of the receipts I submit are sent for review or rejected even though I have been careful to buy the correct item. I just made a special trip to the store for the one item I needed to complete a bingo board and it is up for review which takes 2-3 days and the game only lasts 2 days. I fear their days are numbered if the service doesn’t improve drastically. Blame it on the economy!

They need to fix the problem when the surveys fail to give us the points we earned. You can spend 20 minutes in a survey, then they’ll tell you you’re done and hit submit, only to have the screen come up saying, “sorry you didn’t qualify but here’s 5 points for trying!” I’ll submit a ticket and get a computer get rated response and no help getting my points back! They need to fix that! Otherwise I like it, especially with the contests they have now to earn more points.

I received my 50 dollar visa gift card in less of a day in redeeming it. I got it from the magic receipt section. It’s really easy and all you have to do is go to the store and get a receipt. Although, it didn’t recognize the items on my receipt. I had to contact support to give me the points. Today I scanned another receipt and it said that they were pending. It takes a while so you have to have patience.

This website/app is a total scam! I signed up a service through MyPoints, followed every direction, the website shows it’s tracked, I provided screenshots when I open the ticket, yet the only thing they’ve been doing is copying and pasting template responses that has nothing to do with the service I signed up. It’s ridiculous the customer service person doesn’t read a word in my communication. Let alone working with the service provider to figure out what’s wrong. There are many other more reputable rebate sites (never had an issue with those competitor sites!) do yourself a favor and avoid MyPoints at all cost.

This is a great app it just takes a long time to get points. This app is not a scam they really pay you, just a few months ago I got my first $50 Walmart gift card. They have many different gift cards you can redeem they even have a way for you to redeem your money to your PayPal card if you want. I say it’s worth giving this app a try if your thinking about it, The surveys are really easy and some are long and some take no time to complete I say this app Is really worth trying.

I’ve been using my points for seven years and I am consistently happy with the rewards they give. You do need to keep track of your rewards because sometimes the readers slow and awarding or they forget and when you remind them they tend to take care of it quickly. I’ve earned over $600 this year already and thousands of dollars over the lifetime

Even if you somehow are able to complete a survey (good luck) your points mean diddly. I earned points from the various ways available and they won’t let me redeem my points. (Yes I’m well over the minimum requirements for withdrawal) I’ve used this app in the past with no problems, but now it’s just a piece of garbage that will waste YOUR time and only benefit THEM. Customer support is a joke. Oh, btw and now somehow I can’t do surveys anymore. It reset me back to Zero and says it costs 80 points to “unlock” more surveys. THE SURVEY DOESN'T EVEN WORK….. I’m done with this app and don’t recommend it. Just look at recent reviews for yourself.

I used My Points for a few years now, but for the past few weeks, there are NO videos on the app. This is frustrating when trying to check off the TO DO LIST and make your daily goal. I open the app several times a day to see if they are available at certain times, but no. Please fix this. Yes, I have logged out and logged back in multiple times as well.

For the most part I am very pleased with MyPoints. I have never been able to get credit for the magic receipts using my computer. It always says there isn’t anything on my receipt that qualifies, not even for the “any receipt”. Today I used my phone and it gave me credit for the any receipt, but not for the Kars trail mix that was on receipt. If you’re not going to give the points, then take it off of the site!

I only downloaded this because it was a offer from Eureka ( a great survey app that pays instantly to your paypal) its a good app so far I just wish in order to get the Welcome bonus you can buy food to redeem it. Anyways I just redeemed my points for a $25 Mastercard my only issue is that it’s not instant. I like instant but atleast I got $25 coming my way anytime soon. It said it usually takes 2-3 business days (10 at the most) so we’ll see. Overall still a good app, reminds me of Ibotta.

Most of the time, I enjoy using this app. However, there are some aspects that I dislike. When I attempt to do a survey, I want credit for the attempt, whether I receive the five points or not. This isn’t always the case. Also, when doing the Bingo activity, I’ve printed coupons, but not received credit for it. Also, sometimes when I perform a Watch activity, I don’t receive credit. Otherwise, I enjoy the activities and will buy merchandise through MyPoints.

It has its flaws, but overall it’s been a great program over the years. BonusMails used to give 5 points for clicking to the site, but not nearly as much or as often anymore, except around holidays. Lots of other point earning opportunities and over the many years I’ve been a member, I’ve been able to redeem for a number and from a variety of gift cards.

The points for receipts NEVER works! It is so difficult to get through customer service. Even if it is an approved store and the full receipt is there, clear and in focus, you get not enough store information. I agree with the surveys. You can fully complete a survey (verification at the end) and then inly get 5 points because you did not qualify. Sometimes you get no points. This is a waste of time, not worth one star Update: you will spend ten plus minutes on a survey only for it to crash or kick you off and you get no points. Also, their discover deals do not work

Has a lot of potential but not worth the time or wotk right now. This is my second time trying this app & will be removing it. A lot of work for 2-3 points. Surveys never gives you the total points. I’ve tried several at 1,000, 300’s etc… and the most I’ve gotten after what I think is too long of a survey is maybe 30 points. I’m Missing points for using Ticketmaster through MyPoints. I reached out to support but nothing yet. It takes way too long to reach any rewards gift cards. Exhausting.

MyPoints is generally a good program. I have been a member since they started, and have earned over $7000 in gift cards. Yes, sometimes you don’t get the promised points, but if you make an inquiry, most of the time they will credit your points. Overall, this is a really good way to earn gifts cards to treat yourself. This year, I treated myself to a new dish washer from Lowes!

I used to like this app. I bought the items they promoted and then submitted the receipts for cash back. It works well for the first couple times. And then recently when I reached the amount for payout, they deactivated my account saying I violate their standards. They didn’t tell me what standards but instead tell me my account will not be reactivated. So disappointed, I didn’t violate any standards. I just follow their buying guides and then submit for rebate only. My account is just reaching the threshold for payout, and there is no way to take my money back. Be aware of it.

I have been been taking surveys, etc with MyPoints for years. Yes, there have been glitches at time, but I am quite satisfied with the number of surveys I am able to take and the variety of opportunities to earn points. I have also discovered that their customer response time has improved. Highly recommend this app!

MyPoints is okay if you have time to waste. There are many surveys that I complete more than half of them and then I think I have moved in to the next question only to find out I didn’t qualified to complete the survey. So I spent roughly 10 mins going through questions only to get 5 points. Then they tell you to compete a watch activity but they are currently unavailable all the time. It’s easy to get points but there are a lot of points you miss.

MyPoints is one of the very first companies of their kind. I’ve been with them over 14 years! And even though the opportunities to get major points was better when they first started out, I still like that this is a great way to pass the time and earn gift cards or cash payouts for doing basic things. Also, I have learned of so many great new companies/apps because of them! Keep up the good work Mypoints!!! 👍🏽

They reopened my account and apologized for the inconvenience. I will start using this app again. It still takes a long tome to get enough points to redeem for a reward. It takes forever to get points. So I started using there search for stock quotes and they penalized me and closed my account. Sad I didn’t have a chamce to cash out my points but i’m happy to go to another app to earn points for rewards.

Downloaded the app hoping it would be a better interface than the website, unfortunately it is just as bad as the website and maybe even worse. I signed up and received the offer to spend $20 and get 1,750 bonus points. First purchase made through the website only credited me for one item I purchased and not for the full amount I spent at the merchant. Second purchase credited me for the full amount, but still have not received my bonus points. It is really frustrating that this business has no way of seeing exactly what you have earned when it comes to the bonus points. Not to mention having to wait at least 30 days for the points to be credited and months for some purchase points to be available. It seems as if surveys are an easier way to earn points if you can qualify for the survey. But, personally I would rather not sell my personal info/opinion for fractions of a cent.

Certain activities are frustrating, like completing a survey & then disqualified, sometimes not even getting the DQ points assuming you haven’t reached the max of 5 per day. A lot of people have trouble submitting the Magic Receipts but I generally do not. Overall it’s a good program and I earn enough points to get about $50 in gift cards per month. I’ve been a member for 20 years.

I have had this app just lingering on my phone for about a year, never really used it then one day I received an email for an offer so I tried it and more I’m hooked, by far the easiest way to free money. It takes a few days some times but I have always received my e-cards and I love it, super easy and just 5 mins, thx MyPoints!

Ive been doing the surveys for a while today but it wont let me verify my account. It just takes me to a sign up thing to get 10$ in which doesn't work anyways. Also surveys are starting to disappear when I go onto the app so I cant fake any or if I do get to a survey itll say “either you already took this survey or there was an error” is there any possible reason for this? And I have enough points for a gift card but idk if Ill be able to redeem it without verifying my account.
