Parents Love Sleep Data
My husband and I fell in love with this product just reading about it, but now that we’ve been using it a couple of weeks, we love it even more. Our daughter started sleeping in her crib the first night we came home from the hospital. We keep our Fire 8 Plus in our room on loud with the app running in the background so we don’t burn the battery on our phones at night. There is barely a second of delay. When our daughter cries you hear her first and then an echo through the app. The key is getting the band situated correctly each night. We were using the band in the beginning and swaddling her (which you’re not supposed to do). We got a red alert on the second night (the most terrifying noise to wake up to). Our daughter was fine and breathing but the layers from the swaddle and band must have made the reading difficult. I will say the red alert will give you some false alarms which I would rather have happen than not. However, all in all we’ve really enjoyed watching the nightly summaries that are produced the following morning to see how many times our daughter woke up, for how long, and how long it took us to get back to sleep after a feeding. Additionally, we love that you can turn the camera off when it’s not in use so we keep ours turned off during the day. Last, but not least, when the time comes that we need to travel to visit family, I love that we can take the camera with us and utilize the stand for traveling. Such a great feature!

Best thing ever.
I have 4 kids. My kids have all co slept with me except for my 4th. I was ready to have my bed back and my sleep back. I never put the other 3 in their own room due to fear. With this monitor my daughter has been sleeping in her own room since she turned 3 months. She has slept so amazing and the advice I have gotten from the app made the transition that much smoother. I will sit in my room with my husband watching our show while I watch her sleep. I love watching her put herself to sleep. I have been able to put her back to sleep by shhhhshing her from the intercom. I have captured moments between her and her father and her brothers that I saw when they thought I wasn’t watching. I am going to be purchasing the breathing band and the sleep sack as I think having that additional peace of mind knowing her breathing will take this to the next level for me. My sisters in different states can watch her sleep. My mom can watch her. My husband can talk to her when he’s at work through the intercom if she wakes up while I shower. I absolutely love this monitor. 10/10 recommend. My only suggestion would be to be able add in when they fall asleep and for how long for better sleep Analysis. She doesn’t always sleep in her crib and if I don’t have her in her crib it will say that I put her to sleep late when she infect is just asleep in her crib in my room. But still the best thing ever!

Super useful but wish the video data was free
We love nanit. We’ve been using nanit full time since our daughter was roughly 4 months old. The features and technology were unmatched compared to other baby monitors we researched. We really enjoy the features the app offers in terms of consistency in bedtime and videos of monthly pick ups it makes. The app connects easily to phones, tablets, and Alexa so we can check on my daughter any time day or night. We also love how sensitive the monitoring is in terms of sound and motion so we know every time she is awake so we can determine if one of us should check on her. It comes with a super cool band that wraps around smaller babies that monitors breathing and is very effective, also comes with a shorter travel stand making it super portable and easy to set up on the go. My only annoyance is if you want to keep your videos and (I guess your paying for data storage) rewatch them later or see how your baby is grown you’ve gotta pay for the features. It’s worth it to have videos of her but obviously isn’t necessary. Despite the added cost we would purchase this again and have convinced two friends recently to purchase nanit for their newborns and they love it as much as we do. Worth the investment and will definitely last for multiple kiddos and well into toddlerhood and beyond.

It’s perfect
We have the Nanit Pro and got both the free standing stand (used when our daughter was still in her bassinet) and the wall mount (used over the crib). We also have the travel stand. We literally use the Nanit every night wherever we are. I love the built in white noise option (as opposed to having another machine) and flip it to the birds sound in the morning as the rise and shine sound. I love that it tells you the temperature and humidity level and allows you to set alerts so you can ensure your child is sleeping comfortably. I love how easy it is to add caretakers to your account. We’ve added grandparents, nannies/ babysitters (and easily removed as appropriate), and even visitors whose babies napped in our daughters crib. We subscribed to the sleep insights. It’s also been really insightful to see in aggregate how our daughter is sleeping, daytime and nighttime. The sleep tips are super helpful as they are tailored to what Nanit is observing. Obviously the algorithm isn’t 100% accurate but it gives way more information about our daughter than I could have ever imagined. Nanit also compiles adorable “memories” like a collection of morning pick ups. Very fun to watch months after the fact. All in all, super glad we went with the Nanit and have been delighted with every aspect of our experience. Strongly recommend.

Best Monitor
Even thought we have had a few “connection” issues. This has been by far the best investment we have made for ourselves and our now toddler. I love that I am able to see our baby’s room/crib no matter the distance. I have gone travel for work and still able to see and tell my daughter good night thought the monitor and app. I love the temperature and humidity features in the app, specially on those days my baby is sick. The integrated light is a ++ specially for those late night and early mornings and middle of the night accidents in bed. Just enough light to see but not too much to fully wake baby up. The integrated white noise feature is pretty amazing too, if for some reason I forget to turn on our white noise machine and I’m out of the room already, I don’t have to go back in and turn the machine on, I can take advantage of the app and monitor and turn on the build in white noise. Pretty awesome. Lastly, the different stands make the minutos adaptable .. you are able to move it around if needed with the stand or set it up in the wall with minimal effort. Super easy to install. I would definitely be getting a second one and also use the breathing and heart rate feature that comes with the extra accessory the monitor provide. I wish I got this monitor sooner.

We love Nanit, when it consistently works!
The Nanit has many great features that not all baby monitors have. For example, we love the sleep insights and stats on how sleep latency compares to other infants the same age, tips on how to help baby fall asleep on her own, etc. The notifications work well and promptly let us know when the baby is moving around or making noise, and we love how you can adjust the sensitivity. The downside: with more complexity comes more room for error, I guess—in some places we’ve visited, we simply can’t get Nanit to connect, even when not that far from the internet modem. Currently, our Nanit loses connection periodically so we don’t get consistent and continuous data from each night. Not sure if it’s related to the connectivity issues, but occasionally it counts the second nap as the start of the night and doesn’t seem to register that our baby was up for another couple hours after that nap ended (skewing her data for the night and across nights- such as bedtimes and how much time she spends awake in the night). In the grand scheme some of this is relatively minor given the main function being met most of the time (we are generally able to monitor our baby) but we wish it were more consistent and would expect a bit more reliability given the reputation and price of the product.

Constant connectivity issues. Wouldn’t recommend
Worked well for the first 6 or so months, but now gives constant headaches with the never ending interruptions (child is almost 13 months old now). It disconnects at least once a day, and sometimes at night, which makes you lose the Nanit insights and you miss when your child fell asleep and woke up. It’s gotten so consistently terrible that the camera has been plugged into a switch outlet with the switch near my child’s bedroom door so that I can reset it more easily when it loses connection. Pretty soon it’ll be connected to a smart switch so I don’t even have to leave the couch for a reset. How convenient! The poor connection issues are NOT coming from my end, and the trouble shooting guide is not helpful. My wifi is stellar, and none of my other devices and cameras have issues anywhere near as frequently as this. It hardly ever shifts to a local connection like it says it should when connection issues arise. The pros are that the picture quality is great, and I like that I can see her wake ups and when she falls asleep so that I can keep her on a good sleep schedule. It’s also convenient to be able to pull up the camera whenever and wherever (cellular or wifi).....but other than that, I would not recommend this product. The 5 star reviews confuse me. My child will soon be learning how to talk like a sailor with how many times I audibly curse about the camera. Thanks, Nanit!

Nanit helps us all get sleep!
As a new mom with postpartum anxiety, I found myself checking on my baby constantly to see if she was breathing. It was making it so that I would start to fall asleep but startle awake being scared she wouldn’t breathe if I wasn’t watching her. After she was three weeks old, the sleep deprivation started kicking in, and my anxiety was getting worse so we bought the nanit to try to help relieve some of my symptoms. The first night with the nanit was my first night being able to sleep! It was nice being able to have the app open on my phone so that I could just open my phone to see if she was breathing instead of having to get out of bed to go put my hand on her. She’s now 3.5 months old and we’ve never had a false alarm, and have always had accurate reports from the nanit. Also, it tells us when she’s moving or if she’s making noise so if we are in another room and she’s napping in her crib, we can go get her! The only thing I’d improve is being able to have a monitor for the nanit so that I don’t have to keep the app open on my phone. Sometimes when she’s sleeping, I want to use my phone while still having it open on a baby monitor. Best purchase we’ve made though!

It’s given us peace of mind!
We started using Nanit over the summer when we welcomed our little babe. As first time parents we had major anxiety putting her in her room for naps and gradually for night time sleep - but being able to have the Nanit app on Night Mode right on my nightstand all night and checking up on her whenever I want without bothering her has been a heaven sent! Also, there are helpful tips that the app sends you based on your baby’s sleep patterns and encouraging chats you can enter to see what other parents are struggling with or what has helped them! The only slightly annoying thing is that occasionally the system gets confused and it alerts us of the wrong thing - for example: we get alerts that “someone is attending to the baby” when she’s only just moving in her crib, or will miss that we went in to check on her or help her go back down and say that she has been sleeping for longer than she actually has. Small detail but figured I’d mention. That didn’t start until 6 months into using it. Other than that, we are so happy to have bought the Nanit! The breathing band is truly everything and we use it for all naps and each night. Overall, we highly recommend!

Use to work do not recommend anymore
I used the Nanit for close to a year with no issues. App was fantastic and so was the camera, put postpartum anxiety at ease. This was until recently. 3 months ago an update went out and the app has been absolute garbage since. If my or my husbands app closes out or crashes when we re open it the feed back sound and background noise is loud enough to blow our phone speakers out. On top of that the live feed lags severely and disconnects reconnecting with no audio and no alerts for baby crying. The only thing that fixes these issues is if the app crashes or we close it on our phones we have to delete the app and re install it-nightly. I contacted customer service several times: sent them screenshots and video recordings of what was happening. Customer service insisted it was an issued with our wifi. None of our streaming services TVs or computers are having an issue but to give them the benefit of the doubt we had our cable provider come check it out and they say we are running up to speed. Nanit still insists it’s our issue and not their app. I was lucky enough once to get a rep who said she disabled something causing the issue but when the newest update went through the issues started up again. All this started when they implemented “allow local network connection” This is my only child but if I was having another one I would NOT recommend Nanit anymore.

Not just a monitor / A sleep training tool!
When I was pregnant I thought I might not need a monitor since we have a very small house where we can hear easily throughout. I bought a Nanit while it was on sale just in case. Of course I discovered it is nice to have one when you want to step outside for a minute or see (not just hear) what’s going on. However I had no idea what a tool Nanit would be to our sleep journey! With the new update, Nanit has several features like showing you a count of how long baby has been laid down for or how long he’s been asleep on the main screen. It also captures videos of each event like: baby being laid down to bed, taken out, records entire naps and nights and allows you to view them for 48 hours with an option to save if you want. It gives you analytics of your child’s sleep (time in bed and time asleep separated for night and day) and celebrates the sleep milestones they reach. It has been wildly helpful in sleep training and just plain parenting. Once set up, you can check in on your baby in the nursery from anywhere - say you’re at work and baby is with a nanny. I have no problems with wireless connection and would recommend it to anyone.

Don’t hesitate, do it! Best decision ever!
We had the old school baby monitor, no video, with our first child. They are 5 years apart and when we found out we were expecting our surprise baby, we decided for peace of mind, we would invest in the Nanit. There are so many other options out there that are good, but Nanit was by far the best. I travel a lot for work and being able to check on my baby from literally ANYWHERE in the world is pretty incredible. I also love the breathing wear options they have to give you that piece of mind while you are sleeping. If their breathing is off or they stop breathing altogether, you will get an alert on your phone that you cannot sleep through. It sounds like a weather alert or an amber alert and just sounds off until you turn it off. I also love how they keep up with milestones and they provide tips based off baby’s age. I tell all my friends and family who are expecting. Peace of mind, doesn’t come with a cost. It’s an investment for peace filled sleep and lots of precious memories you will capture with it. Do not hesitate any longer. Do it. Buy it. Buy the whole bundle. It’s worth EVERY PENNY!

Want to love it, but hating right now
In the beginning I couldn’t sing enough praises about this system. It brought me such ease and comfort knowing my daughter was actually still breathing once I moved her into her new room and crib. I read some bad reviews involving connection issues before I purchased, but thought the good outweighed the bad on the reviews. Now I’m wishing we had stuck with a regular monitor that actually stays connected all night. My husband has issues literally everytime I’m gone at work with connectivity and troubleshooting doesn’t always fix it. Going into a room and unplugging the monitor every night and messing with it and resetting is a real pain when your baby is sleeping and you’re trying not to wake them. The other issue is traveling with your Nanit. Just don’t. They make it sound super easy and while they have the stand to make it travel friendly- you’ll most likely have issues connecting to a wifi network at a hotel/airbnb etc. I tried for hours and no amount of restarting/resetting/unplugging would work. I wouldn’t waste your time or money purchasing the travel stand for that reason. I really wanted to love Nanit- but at this point the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. Hopefully this review helps other parents who might be on the fence whether to purchase. We wish we hadn’t.

Will stop monitoring for semi-side or tummy sleepers
Nanit will disconnect and not reconnect, automatically. If my baby turns to his side, nanit won't be able to find the band until the baby moves again, which could be 10 minutes or longer. Sometimes it will time out and stop monitoring all-together, even though the band is in plain view. Nanit will also force updates, so if you happen to check on the baby multiple times a night, it may force an update, so you're baby will be without monitoring at 3 AM or whenever the forced update comes up. Likewise, Nanit can disconnect and will be off all night without ample warning, even when the band is in full view, and it cannot automatically reconnect by itself. This can be frustrating, especially if/when internet goes down and the "local" network doesn't work right, and when my child covers the band from the camera's view by raising his legs in his woolino sleep sack and the camera can't read anything and thinks the baby was taken from the crib so it turns off and monitoring cannot begin until someone manually begins it, again. Personally, I would only recommend nanit for children over a year who are less at risk for SIDs. For infants, I def feel much better using the Owlet, which monitors constantly and was for me, much more reliable than nanit.

One of the best purchases we’ve made
Nanit is, hands down, one of the best purchases we have made for our baby. We have the wall mount as well as the multi-stand. We’ve taken the multi-stand into different rooms and even with us during stays at hotels. The added bonuses that add value to this product are the milestone messages they send to your inbox to help with caring for your baby, the newly added nightlight feature that lets you do a sleep timer and has a dimming function, the sounds that also have a timer function, the customizable notifications for sound and movement, and the talk-back function. We absolutely love our Nanit and it’s honestly (and randomly) become our baby’s favorite thing to look at during bedtime (and mid-night wakings) that somehow help soothe her back to sleep. We used the breathing wear in her early months and that was super helpful too! As we got more seasoned in not worrying about her too much while sleeping, we stopped using it, but it still is something I recommend for first-time parents (better this than a wearable tracking sock- I’ll leave that product unnamed haha). Thank you Nanit for creating an amazing product.

Great to use for newborns, new babies up to 1 year, wish I new this sooner
It has been great to use for our newborn up to 1 year, no doubt everything bells and whistles (night mode, sleep mode wave sounds and other sounds, two way talk, easy to control form phone, the sleep monitoring and the sleep wrap to monitor baby’s oxygen). No other one has been comparable for this newborn infant stage. Another baby on the way and we debated getting a second camera for nanit but way to expensive not worth it and that’s because once one baby gets mobile and moves around or is toddler, and u want camera u can rotate in and around room remotely, nanit is not for you, trust me, so we will keep nanit for newborn and get different camera for older child. As far as I can see I can’t find now that is as good as nanit but also pan/ tilts with the camera… there are better priced remote rotate two way talk cameras that work really well, but nanit is not it for toddlers. I wish they would make their camera tilt/ pan mode, because once toddler starts moving around ur Going in there and repositioning camera all the time or if u have a babysitter u can’t remotely reposition camera :/. However I do recommend nanit for newborns.

Love my Nanit!
So happy we saved up to get this super fancy baby monitor - it’s worth every penny! Not only can both sets of grandparents watch the live feed from across the globe, it also has many functions that gave my husband and I some peace of mind during our first few months as new parents. We also purchased and Owlet monitor when our son was born but once we saw how great the Nanit system was we returned the Owlet as we never ended up needing to use it. My husband especially loved this because he leaves early for work each morning, and he is still able to view our son whenever he is in his crib. The customer service platform is easy to use and relatively quick to respond, and they even helped us to set up a stand in addition to the wall mount we purchased (to make the monitor mobile and move from our bedroom to the nursery). The app is super easy to navigate too, and it comes with adorable sounds and music that will play through the monitor for your baby. Thank you Nanit for all the help you provided us during these first 5 months, and thank you for all of the help that I am sure we will receive in the future.

Peace of mind and security wrapped up into 1 camera
Baby cameras are wild in cost and abilities - it was really daunting to decide which camera to go with - I picked Nanit because of the phone interface, night vision, and breathing feature. Since having a nanit camera, I have recommended one for all new parents. I love every feature - I can check on my baby from anywhere when they are in the crib. Traveling anywhere with the camera is a huge peace of mind. I can set up babysitting friends and family with the camera. I love the quality of the image and the breath feature is honestly the most treasured feature - postpartum, I could sleep without fearing about SIDS. I had a second child and purchased another camera. There’s a split screen feature that is amazing- I can see and hear my kids at the same time, or if one is napping, just use their monitor - no need to have both on. I don’t know about having 3+ cameras - however, I’m sure Nanit could share those details. I do, however, adore the cameras and the technology - this was the right purchase for me.

Would be 5 stars, but we’ve had some issues.
We bought our Nanit since our neighbors have one. They raveeee about it. Ours worked for a little and then couldn’t stream or connect? So we had customer support send us a new one. But it took some work... mean while we were without a monitor. (Talk about an anxious mama). Few weeks ago we had issues with our new one. Which is only a few moths old. We couldn’t get it to connect to our phones after it had been working just fine. Went through all the steps over and over and it finally worked. Mind you, we had to do this all in our littles room since he was sleeping. So not was I mad but I had to be super quiet and obviously the monitor is above his bed. We ended up having to use the travel stand which is not directly above him. With our daughter we had a standard monitor, which of course didn’t have as good of a quality picture but we never had connectivity issues when she was sleeping. And I never had to try and diagnose the issue fearing of having to go to bed without the motion on. Other than that, it’s great. It’s super frustrating when it stops working. For something so expensive we shouldn’t be having issues.

Would not recommend
I honestly hate this system. The main problem is that the app constantly goes into a buffer state. During the night I’m supposed to be able to rely on this app to ensure the safety of my baby but there have been a few times where she’s managed to get a blanket wrapped around her head, she’d be crying so bad, and I’d have no idea because the app was actually buffering during those instances. I have perfect wifi and service, the buffering is not due to being able to connect. I’ve restarted the internet to the Nanit many times and right after it would continue to buffer. The fact is on more than one occasion I could have lost my baby due to this apps buffering. Sometimes when you have the noise on background mode, it’ll just cut off for no reason. My solution to that is I must sleep with my phone on and on the app just to make sure I won’t miss the sound cut off. Not only does that ruin my phone over time but it also affects my sleep since I have a bright screen in my face all night. Along with the buffering the video and audio stream also lags. It has lagged as long as up to 2 mins and 42 seconds before. Which as parents we all know that’s more than enough time for anything to happen.

Really great monitor, some minor issues
By and large, this is an excellent baby monitor and app. The picture is very clear, it was incredibly easy to set up, and the app is very reliable. I no longer use a serrated app to track sleep because this is so accurate. That said? There are a few issues. Occasionally the app doesn’t connect to the monitor. This is an issue when I’m trying to turn on or off the light to change a diaper or not disturb a sleeping baby. I have to open and close the app half a dozen times before it works. This happens a few days a week. It also should be possible to toggle night vision on and off. Sometimes there is clearly enough light in the room for the camera to be in standard mode, but it auto changes to night vision anyway. That’s a bit annoying. The price of the app is also obscene, especially when the camera is already so expensive. I’m hoping the year of insights included will more than take us through sleep training so it won’t be an issue, but it still seems like a slap in the face after buying such an expensive monitor.

Nanit review
Fist time mom here- I really like nanit for the peace of mind of breathing pace and temperature/humidity gage. We were getting quite a few red alerts- when I sent the info to nanit they said that she may be too small and the camera may be too high to get an accurate read. With some back and fourth, they sent a mobile stand, free of charge, which has helped. I wish they made other options for swaddles- they seem rather tight (she’s 10 pounds so not quite ready for the bigger size). We are trying a love to dream swaddle with the breathing band, which was recommended by a nanit team member. our baby is over stimulated quickly, and we are working with her on her sleep.. needless to say we are very aware and and track her sleep. The data seems to be a little off- her times never align with the times that I have on the huckleberry app for when she is in her crib or how long it takes her to fall asleep. Our baby grunts and moves a decent amount while asleep, but the camera reads it as she is awake during that time. We bought this because of the ability to see her breathing rate, which has been very helpful.

The peace of mind is worth every penny.
We were really hesitant about purchasing this but ultimately decided to give it a shot. This is so above and beyond our old camera that sometimes I really wonder how we survived without it. The camera and sound quality is amazing, the motion and sound detections are customizable, the sleep insights are SO helpful, and I cannot stress enough how much I love that I can just move the camera from the wall mount to the regular stand as needed and see the baby wherever I need to. Recently our baby had his first real illness and I was nervous about leaving him alone in the crib, but also didn’t want to ruin sleep training progress. So we busted out the sleep band/pajamas since we hadn’t used them yet. It was such a nice added piece of mind to know that his breathing was being monitored and we would be alerted if anything happened. And it was no inconvenience to him wearing it either, it was just like any other pair of pajamas. 110% recommend to any parent. Whether it’s your first, second, third, or even 10th child. It’s so helpful.

Needs a disconnection alarm!
Yay they finally added a split screen!!! -changing my review- I love this monitor but there’s some things that needs to be added. When I loose connection for any time over 5 min it should 100% have an alarm that you have to actually turn off saying that’s it’s disconnected. There’s nothing worse then waking up in the middle of the night to check the monitor only to find it’s disconnected and the notification from 2 hours ago saying to relaunch it. When I am asleep I do not a hear a little tiny ding, there needs to be an alarm that goes off so I know to fix it. I don’t need to contact for connection issues, I need an alarm to tell me if It has become disconnected so I can reconnect it. (I had pretty spotty WiFi through ATT and was loosing connection all through the night and it wasn’t picking back up, obviously ATT’s fault not Nanit bc I now have charter and don’t have this issue. But that doesn’t change my point that there SHOULD be an alarm alerting you to reconnect when it doesn’t do it on its own)

Fantastic for smart homes
We love the Nanit! Such a peace of mind too. Our LO went to the crib at 12 weeks and the Nanit helped my mama brain relax so much. I didn’t use the breathing features the first 12 weeks because I was so worried about false alarms waking us all up and he was a pretty good sleeper. We’ve never had a false alarm since then (7.5 months now). The only set back is, he now sleeps with a lovey and if it lays on his stomach and blocks the breathing wear only a small text like ding lets me know (I sleep through it). This has only happened twice though. No way around it, except that I do wish the period to wait for the Breathing wear was longer. For example, during teething we sometimes have to walk around for an hour and I have to remember to restart the breathing wear before I zombie back to bed. Again, overall love it and I recommend to all my friends! The sleep sacks are probably my favorite accessory! It’s great for the grandparents’ houses. The only time it didn’t work was when we stayed at a bed and breakfast 2 room suite and their internet didn’t have a password.

Much better than Miku
We had the Miku starting off with our newborn. It would crash, turn off randomly, the no breathing alarm would falsely go off all the time (which was terrifying) even when you had exited the app, and it had very poor quality video. It also made you go into the settings to turn off the breathing sensor every single time you took the baby out of the crib, which is near impossible to remember to do before you’re picking a crying baby up. After experiencing how bad a product could be, we were absolutely delighted to come across the Nanit. The best part is the reliability. Not once has the app crashed and I can fall asleep knowing I will be woken up by my baby’s first sounds through my phone instead of shrieking from the next room, as I did with the Miku. Also, not once has the no breathing alarm gone off. What a pleasure. It would have been a little harder to appreciate all those things if I hadn’t gone through the nightmare of the Miku! But honestly, the Nanit is worth every penny. I’ve recommended it to all my friends.

The nanit monitoring allows me peace of mind at night knowing my child’s breathing and safety during sleep are being monitored. I like the accessibility on my phone as well to check on my child. The breathing wear swaddle needs improvement as it was not comfortable for my son in his early months which was a challenge. They breathing band worked for monitoring but we could not swaddle our child to use this feature. I used a snuggle me pillow in the bassinet with the breathing band around my son so he could be monitored. As my child grew the breathing wear sleep sacks have been perfect to keep my son comfortable and safely monitored. He is already growing out of the 12-24 month size at 17 months and he’s not a large child so I wish they would make larger sleep sacks so we can keep using the breathing monitor feature. The nanit sleep insights have been very helpful to guide and assist sleep improvements as my child grows. The nanit sleep schedule for each month is also very helpful for guidance on naps and nighttime sleep. Overall the Nanit has provided me with peace of mind, rest, security, and guidance.

Good App and product but RIP-OFF subscription
I bought the camera for my first child, it was expensive but the feature at the time made it worth it after a few months they decided to charge for the features and insights which sort of made it mandatory to purchase if you want to continue to use the camera for the features you bought it for in the first place. Nothing is worth the safety of our child and by then we have gotten used to the system. However, we recently had our second child. So naturally, I thought me purchasing the same brand of camera would make sense since I was already paying for a subscription, little did I know, the subscription doesn’t cover a second camera, even if I upgrade, I still have to buy a full other subscription for the new camera IN THE SAME account for the SAME HOUSE. I feel like I was fooled by this company. It’s already very expensive and to charge a separate amount per camera is pure greed and bad business. I won’t recommend it to anyone. All other security camera brands charge a one fee for unlimited camera or have a very high cap. This is just ridiculous. RIP-OFF is an understatement

My peace of mind
Nanit has been the most useful baby item imaginable. Our son has been sleeping in his crib since he was 3 days old. The breathing wear puts my mind at ease, I can roll over in the middle of the night and see that he’s ok. We experienced one red alert, maybe when he was a month or two old, and luckily he was perfectly fine, but we still are fans of how the alert went off and really got us moving. I absolutely love the tips that pop us in our messages with recommendations on what to try and do according to his age, it’s very helpful & gives me the reassurance that I’m doing the right thing. We like how Nanit keeps track of how our son slept, it’s helpful to know how much sleep he’s getting & by looking at a weekly glance we can understand him better. My husband loves the portable stand, he uses it when our son falls asleep during the day instead of moving him. Absolutely love our Nanit, wouldn’t change a thing. And I recently got the sleep sacks! I was very excited when those came out.

Awesome
I was REALLY hesitant to spend so much on a baby monitor since you really just need to see them and hear them. Everything else is just extra. But I also wanted something reliable, with good video quality, and a decent app. Ended up biting the bullet and bought this but once I started using it and using all the features myself WOW I was super glad I got it! This thing is awesome. I use the baby wrap to track my sons breathing and it’s amazing. Yeah you don’t NEED all the extra features but man once you use them you won’t regret it at all. We also have him in his own room and it’s our first baby so knowing that we are tracking his breathing helps ease our mind just a little. If you can afford it BUY IT. I might even pay to keep the features going past a year and when I bought it I said I would NEVER pay for it since it was already pricey. Anything baby related has so many mixed reviews but I don’t see how someone can not like this thing. Great purchase and the app works great.

iPad app BROKEN
We bought this with the intention of using our iPad as a monitor. If you are planning on doing this I would advise you DO NOT. The sound is completely broken , when it is turned on all you hear is a buzzing sound and what’s worse is when the sound is on for whatever reason the video feed starts moving in slow motion , effectively making this entire setup useless. When you turn the sound off the video then speeds back up until it “catches up” with real time at which point the video feed is then reliable. I guess as long as you keep the app muted you can use the app for video only but that is not entirely useful in my opinion. We have contacted support about this and they tried blaming our internet (not remotely our internets fault as the app works fine on our phones), updating our iPad , updating Nanit app , reinstalling Nanit app, etc. We have tried it all and it continues to not function. FIX YOUR IPAD APP!!! This is a gigantic issue and makes the app and product not useable , I cannot believe this has gone unfixed!!

Excellent product
We’ve been using this camera since my son was born and he is 3 1/2 years old now. we have never had any significant issues with the video or sound quality— the only thing that we needed to get to enhance the performance was a Wi-Fi extender. The major “con” I would say is that you don’t get sound alerts when you utilize the white noise feature on the camera, so we bought a separate white noise machine so that the Nanit would pick up if my son was crying or calling out for us. One update that I love, that didn’t exist when we originally bought the camera, was the fact that you could enable access to someone ONLY if they are connected to the same WiFi network. This was huge improvement because I didn’t always remember to disable my mother in law’s access when she’d leave after babysitting, and I’d always wonder if she was accessing the camera when she wasn’t at my home. Overall, the Nanit and subscription have been really useful!

Worth the price
I was worried when I first starting looking for baby cameras, there are so many options out there. Then a friend told me about Nanit. I instantly looked it up and was sticker shocked but I kept reading. Knowing that it would measure my babies breaths and alert me if she ever stopped was pretty amazing. But there are other products out there that can do it too. So why Nanit? I honestly liked the “monitoring device.” Instead of something that went around the foot it was a sleep sack. Something I was going to need anyways. They were very function and I didn’t need to put anything extra on my baby. I have also enjoyed the memories it captures and the data. I know how long she sleeps, when she wakes up, and how long she stays awake. My baby got sick with RSV and after being sent home from the ER the first time I was told to come back if her breaths per minute dropped below a certain number and knowing that I could rest easy knowing that my Nanit would monitor that for me.

Connectivity and cost 👎🏻
Feeling pretty frustrated with the recent outages. I’ve had some issues here and there but it’s been getting worse and the time the whole app goes down has been getting longer. (Like 40+ min at a time, usually at night - VERY stressful). The camera, breathing wear and subscription are a real investment. (Especially, if you continuously have littles. Truly wish there was a cheaper lifetime subscription.) Of course I do what I can to make it work for us financially because the peace of mind knowing that my babies are safe and breathing is worth it, but not with outages like this. I’d give it 5 stars if there was reliability and a subscription option for parents who continuously have littles for years and years and bonus if there was a way to pause subscriptions. (Like for parents who have littles coming and going - foster parents etc.) I’d also like to add that as a parent caring for multiple littles at a time, it’s very frustrating that to access the features I bought the cameras for (ie breathing monitoring) that I have to pay PER camera, not per household. I loved loved this camera and use to recommend it but now I’m not so sure. I may have to look into other options for the future.

Recent Money Grab…
So my wife and I have been absolutely loving using the Nanit app…it’s easy to use, super functional and has always given us peace of mind. However, within the app there is an extension called “Activity” where it shows you everything from how long your baby has been asleep to sounds/movement detected. This feature has been free for the first year we have had the Nanit camera and app. Well within the past day we have been quite disappointed to learn that option has been moved to a monthly fee of $10 and up and has even stopped providing the update of how long our baby has been sleeping on the main live feed. Although this feature is really more so a convenience than anything(which is why we will not be paying for it), it is still extremely disappointing to see Nanit do this as the camera itself is already quite expensive and now they are trying to make us pay $10 a month for a feature that has been free all along. A feature that really isn’t necessary nor imperative to how the camera works. Overall I’m a little disappointed over the sell out and hope no one else pays for the subscription, because again, it really is not necessary to have it.

Great baby monitor!
No more having to worry about the batteries getting low or fuzzy images. We are all pretty good at keeping our phones charged and the image is very clear even in the pitch black. I really like that you can have multiple people signed in to the account on all of our smart phones, this way, mom, dad, the nanny, whoever is home, they always has instant access on their personal device. I also like that it keeps track of when baby is put in the bed and taken out. It also gives you advice on how to be consistent with the sleep schedule, and so many other helpful tips. It is so much more than just a baby monitor. I used this monitor for many years at somebody else’s house when I worked as a nanny. When I got my own and had some connectivity issues, their customer service was a breeze to work with. They sent me a new camera right away and were very friendly and helpful. Never going back to any other old school monitors.

Many excellent features; only a few bugs
Probably the best baby item we purchased. Love being able to check the monitor from anywhere via WiFi or cell service. Zooming in & taking pics is also great. When baby was smaller, the “breathing wear” function put our minds at ease. Also really nice to have the temperature and humidity always being measured. Lastly, it’s convenient to have the monitor on our phones, rather than having to use a separate device. Nice to have options to mute sound, hear it only when looking at the screen, or hear it even with screen turned off. We have had some glitches when Nanit has pushed out a new software update, and when our camera went on the fritz after nearly a year of working well, we had to jump through some customer service hoops to get a replacement. That said, all reps were smart & friendly and we did get a replacement eventually. Tip: contact customer service via phone rather than email; it was much faster in our experience.

BEST Monitor EVER!
We can’t get enough of the amazing new features that Nanit offers! Babies make SO many noises while they sleep and so having the Nanit Baby Monitor allowed me to look over and check on him but also be able to go right back to sleep so I actually got a lot more sleep then friends with other monitors and I was well rested to take care of him when he woke. The other feature I love is the data insights that helped us especially when we first had our son to track his sleep and create a schedule that worked best for him. Being sleep deprived and juggling the many new tasks at hand this was so helpful to have already logged for us so we didn’t have to track it ourselves. While sleep training our son it was so important for us to be able to make sure he was okay even when he was initially upset and had to learn to put himself to sleep. Nanit gave us great sleep training tips to help guide us too! He was sleep trained in 3 days! And I never forget to pack our multi-stand when going overnight somewhere!

Love it but one suggestion
Love the nanit !! Super easy to install and use and love that the camera floats directly above the baby versus from a certain angle. My only suggestion is regarding the new feature recently added called “night mode” which dims the app so that you can leave the app open at night without having the app shining brightly while you sleep. I do love the feature ! BUT I would recommend that they modify it a bit to allow you to set a time frame for the night mode to automatically turn on and off by itself. Right now i have to turn it on (getting ready for bed) and off (in the morning for the rest of the day) which kinda defeats the purpose of the feature. It should just do this automatically. If I have to manually turn it off and on every night/day then I’m wasting the same amount of time I was wasting before where I was dimming and brightening the light on my screen, before the night mode feature was created. Hope this makes sense! Seems like an easy fix!

UPDATED • Used to be a great app
UPDATE: They have finally fixed the app. Minus the fluke they had for a couple months (which is a long time for sleepless parents), I have been thrilled about this app. 9.5/10 would recommend We’ve used nanit for 2.5 years. It’s been phenomenal, however, within the last month and a half, we have had nothing but issues with this app. Unless the phone is unlocked, the app skips, stops, and glitches. The first time I noticed this was after I woke up in the morning and realized I never heard my newborn cry for a feeding… never heard him because the app shut off during the night. If I’m not getting sleepless nights from my baby, I’m getting sleepless nights from worrying the app will shut off or glitch while I’m sleeping and I won’t be able to hear my 6 week old cry. From the looks of recent reviews, it doesn’t look like we’re alone. They keep “fixing” and “improving” other features, but not the ones that truly matter. Please fix the bugs and give us all our sanity back!

Pretty great, but connectivity can be frustrating
My wife and I love the Nanit. The breathing feature is what sold us on it and gives us great peace of mind. The night vision is good, but can be a little blurry if mount the camera too high, but honestly it’s the only way you use the camera in large part so I wish it was as sharp as cheaper cameras that are not baby monitor specific like Wyze or eufy. My biggest gripe is connectivity when traveling. Even if I’ve connected to the WiFi someplace like my in-laws before it won’t connect automatically and can sometimes take a few attempts to get connected. Besides that we LOVE the features like memories/moments where it tracks milestones and other events like morning wake ups and compiles them in to a little slide show with music. Some of them make my wife cry like when it compiles all the new born scrunches our baby did in his first 3 months. It also helps track how your baby was put to bed and will remind you or congratulate you on having your baby out themselves to sleep.

Overall happy, minor improvements could be made
We are enjoying using the Nanit for our baby. Overall we have very few complaints. If we had to make changes, we would probably make the power cord longer (we live in an older house and outlets are far and few in between and having a good wall to support the camera + an outlet close by proved to be difficult.) The camera back is a bit short so it doesn’t get to be directly over our baby. It still tracks her sleep patterns and everything we NEED but it is off in terms of her placement in bed/movement/etc. The music, while great, is super loud on your phone when you’ve got the night mode turned on. Even if you have it quieter in the nursery (almost so quiet you can’t hear it) it’s extremely loud on your phone and that’s a bit obnoxious. We don’t use that feature because of it. The nightlight is pretty useless too. Maybe better when she’s a bit older and we aren’t using a night light to see during night feeds and avoiding turning on her nursery light, but currently it’s not at all bright enough.

Best choice we made
We were told to put this on our registry because it was the bee’s knees and it absolutely is. I love how the first year it gives you insights and memories and stuff you would never be able to have with another camera. The picture is very clear and I’m absolutely thankful for the recommendation I got early in the game. This camera has been so useful. It even has alerts for when it gets too cold or hot or the humidity is out of range for an infant (which could lead to sids). It also records how much they slept each night so you can understand how their naps should be during the day. There is also a nap calculator that you can revisit each month to make sure you can adapt your schedule. I honestly really love it. The only flaw I can point out is my camera gets stuck on night mode often. I really don’t mind because I only really need it for the night. All in all I love this camera, it’s made the journey with my first child much easier.

Effective monitor
I really enjoy our Nanit monitor. It’s fairly accurate in determining and calculating when my baby falls asleep, is awake, or visited throughout the night. I appreciate that it comes with 1 year of basic insights. However, I think for the price, it should come with one year free of full insights. I think I would find more value in the insights and be more willing to pay for the subscription once the free trial ends. As it stands now, I probably won’t buy a years worth when this is up because I feel I really can’t determine if the insights are worth the cost (I think it’s $250/yr for full insights). Overall, the camera quality is good, the app is good (some glitches sometimes), and it’s worth buying the accessories. One of my favorite features is the ability to take it off the wall and travel with it. Other wall mounted baby cameras don’t do that. I do wish the insights worked when it’s not wall mounted. Again, would make it worth buying the insights if it did. I’d give the camera and app a solid 4 stars.

Overall GREAT monitor!!
The camera itself was super easy to set up & the app is mostly reliable. At times there are connectivity issues, but overall we have been very happy with this camera & app. This is our 3rd baby monitor. The 1st (not a Nanit) was recommended by a family member & had so many stability issues so we had it replaced by the manufacturer. The replacement was just as awful, so my husband did some research and came across the Nanit. We won’t ever use another monitor! One thing I do wish the app had was the ability to cycle through video feeds for those with multiple cameras. We have 2 littles, so have 2 Nanits. Monitoring both requires having 2 separate devices open to the Nanit app. It’s not a huge deal, but is also kind of a pain in the booty. Each night we tie up my iPad & iPhone so that we can keep an eye on both babies. Most basic monitors have the ability to cycle back and forth between different camera feeds, so I hope your developers will consider adding this feature.

The best I love it.
The nanit was the first and only camera I have used and I wouldn’t want to use another camera. The insights are the best I’m glad I get to use it for free for a year wish it was included indefinitely. But the clarity is amazing I can actually see my daughters lashes and see whether her eyes are open or closed love that you can zoom in. I love having it on my phone it’s the best. I’m a nurse and I work at night so being able to just go onto my phone and take a look at her is priceless it doesn’t bother me not having a physical monitor in hand. I mean I’m usually on my phone anyway and can just click into the app to look. Only downside is it obviously drains your battery ALOT but that’s kind of expected I mean it’s streaming live on your phone. I just make sure I keep my phone charged. I’m the type that doesn’t really write reviews but I read reviews all the time to determine whether or not to get something and I’m so glad I purchased this camera. Trust me if your having doubts just get it.

More Pros than Cons
We love the nanit video quality and ability to access from the phone. Here’s a list of pros and cons: Pros: - multiple users can access from their devices - is compatible with iPad and the screen adapts and sizes appropriately - good quality video - built in white noise sounds you can turn on and off - if you’re playing apps or music on your phone while running nanit in the background, nanit will reduce your other apps sound so you can hear baby. Very useful feature - has other accessories like the band and swaddle. We have both but haven’t tried quite yet Cons: - we love that it reads temperature but if you have the wall mount, it’s reading from 6 ft height which leads it to be 3-4 degrees off versus crib or bassinet height. I bought a cheap hydrometer to adhere to the crib to confirm it’s a few degrees off - your app has to be open to see the screen. We run it on an iPad that we have unlocked 24/7. If they had a handheld device to stream the video on like the Infant Optics, I’d have given a full 5 stars

Not great
It would probably be 3 or 4 starts at least if they didn’t completely make most features useless without subscription. When I think of insights I think of it tracking over time events during the night or nap times, and giving insight into patterns. Instead when you’re not paying and your free trial expires, it seems the notifications are worse and doesn’t track anything. The video quality on ours that is now almost a year and a half old isn’t great and pales in comparison to Eufy 2k camera (not baby camera). It does have white noise, but we still use Hatch, and the talk back feature is fairly pitiful, compared to the Eufy. While it’s nice having the Wi-Fi baby camera when one of us is away we can still see our child sleeping, but when we traveled it struggled terribly to connect to other Wi-Fi networks. I think we would’ve been better with a dumb system and our normal pan-tilt Wi-Fi camera. I’ll also really dislike the new Santa hat on the app for winter, not all of those that use the app celebrate Christmas, and it just feels very unnecessary. Put a snowflake, or snowman. The Santa hat is religious iconography.

Nanit Cameras: A Game-Changer for Monitoring Babies"
I am delighted with our Nanit cameras for our twin babies. We set up the Nanit in the nursery to monitor our little ones while they nap, and so far, it has exceeded our expectations. One of the standout features of the Nanit is the ability to access both live and historical camera videos. This feature allows us to check in on our babies in real-time and also review past footage, giving us peace of mind knowing that we can always keep an eye on them. Another crucial feature for us is the ability to monitor the temperature in the nursery. The Nanit provides accurate temperature readings, ensuring that our babies are in a comfortable and safe environment. This feature has been particularly helpful, especially during those hot summer nights and more recently in the cold weather. Lastly, the regular activity reports and milestones provided by the Nanit have been invaluable in tracking our babies' growth and development. It's fascinating to see their progress and milestones documented in an easy-to-understand format. Overall, we highly recommend the Nanit cameras for anyone with infants and even elderly care. The ease of use, along with the essential features such as live and historical camera videos, temperature monitoring, and activity reports, make it an excellent investment for any parent or caretaker. We are exceptionally pleased with our Nanit and the peace of mind it brings us.

Made Transitioning to Crib Easier
Made transitioning to her crib happen much sooner and safer. She was sleeping in her own crib by 3 months because this allowed us to keep and eye and ear out for her all night. Being able to talk through it great. The night light is useful because it doesn’t shine down onto your baby it gently aims up. You can control the volume/intensity of the sounds/light. The only weird thing is that the sound labeled “Wind” sounds exactly like waves gently lapping (it is her favorite), and the one called “Waves” sounds more like water splash and slopping then it does actual waves like the “Wind” setting. The only criticism I have is that the alarm for the breathing monitor, (which is a great feature, the alarm lets you know if they haven’t breathed in a whole 30 seconds), the default setting for the alarm has it go off and your phone AND from the camera itself. So a loud alarm blaring right above them. Their is a toggle for turning off it using the camera too but it is greyed out and unchangeable.
