Great game for math nerds. A little frustrating at times due to slow responses, but I can live with that. The newer variants, particularly Maxi, have added to my enjoyment. The ads at the bottom are unobtrusive but perhaps their reloading causes issues at times. I just noticed that they can be turned off for three days; that seems to improve the response time.
This app would genuinely be great if the ads didn't interfere with gameplay. Personally, having an ad at the bottom of my screen is not always a nuisance. However, in this case, things are different. Each time a new ad has to load in, it either causes my screen to move/glitch, or it resets my game. When my screen glitches, it's annoying, but when it resets my progress, playing the game is unbearable. I can never remember all of my guesses or re-input them, so I just end up quitting. When I saw that Nerdle had an app, I was very excited because, unlike Wordle, instead of having to use an internet browser, I could just tap the app on my screen and start solving the puzzle. I also really enjoyed the calculator function that I could get to fairly easily, rather than having to open the calculator app on my phone. If I had no issues with the advertisements, I would have given this app a 5-star rating. However, until something is done about this issue, I will just have to use an internet browser to play Nerdle.
I play the nerdle every day and I just found out today there was an app. A few minor suggestions: 1. add an option to remove ads completely or make the ads smaller at the bottom of the screen, i feel like the ad takes up too much of the screen 2. remove double tap to zoom in, it makes it look like a clunky app 3. add a levels option so that you’re not forced to do the daily only, make the daily a seperate option. and don’t say the nerdle reply because it runs out at some point. i mean proper levels that you can play like any other game. (ex. candy crush) ——————————————————————————- At the moment I believe the website is better than the app because of the lack of ads and it’s not as clunky and weird as the app, but with these improvements it has the potential to be a 5 star game. I give it 3 stars because of the fact that it doesn’t give an app type of look, it feels like you just copy-pasted the website into the app.
While the games themselves are wonderful , ( even I with an MS in Math & developing games myself , enjoy playing them daily ) the ad platform and whichever ad mediation you are using is terrible! It keeps serving irrelevant ads despite providing consistent feedback daily for weeks. So much for "your feedback helps us improve" tagline of Google ads! I am very close to deleting this app ! Either provide paid ad free version or change your ad vendor & mediator platforms!! PS: If you do make changes let me know how to contact you directly. I have some ideas about increasing levels for crossnerdle. Thanks.
For the most part, this is a fun game/app. However, their commutative setting doesn’t always work. They say it should fix issues and allow, as an example, 1+2 to be counted the same as 2+1. However, answers like 10-7-2 are marked wrong when 10-2-7 are marked correct, even though both equal 1 and the order of the 7 and 2 don’t matter. There also seems to be no avenue for support from the devs which is a bummer. Nothing in app to report issues, and reached out via twitter and got no response.
Other than the in-app calculator needing an upgrade, I love this brain teaser. No real app issues I’ve come across and I’ve been casually playing for nearly two years. So big thumbs up. (Side note: could make the in-app adds non-moving so it’s easier to focus, but it’s easy enough to cover up with your hand. Hope this helps!)
The concept of this game is fun, including the different game modes you can play. My main issue that led me to quickly delete this app though, was the placement of the ads in the game. Some of the ads were placed in a position on top of the game features, preventing me from using some parts on the app. Not to mention, the app felt like I was using a website (double-tapping on the screen zoomed in). It’s still a cool game, I would just recommend using the website version rather than the app.
This game is awesome!! However this app is just kinda meh. The website looks better than the app somehow even though the app just basically shows the website lol. Don’t see why you would use the app over the website.
I was trying out a elite difficulty level and I was halfway through when the menu popped up and changed the level I was on, it was becoming a addictive experience because of how fun it was until the game refreshed and lost all my progress and it became extremely frustrating having wasted that much time getting to that point just for the game to crash with no warning at all
I love this game and just wish it was a little more challenging. I don’t know if that just means I’m that big of a math nerd but, to this day, I have not been unsuccessful at solving a single puzzle. Still love doing the math in my head lol
The instant game is garbage! If you only have one chance it should take multiple answers as long as it computes correctly. Multiple times it has told me I am wrong because it doesn’t like the way I math!
