Grateful and bless for my online church. We moved from California to Nevada and I was so worried for us to be leaving our church in Vista, Ca. I believe this app is a bit cumbersome. Difficult to get around in and does not always have a way to get to information. For example what if I wanted to volunteer where and how would I find that information without digging through a maze of confusing links and then still not finding what I want??? There have be similar type issues I have encountered that leave me frustrated. If you are going to tell me to call, why do we need an app.
I’ve been doing the Daily Dose for a while now and decided to check out a sermon for my Bible study..happened to see Mark series.. I absolutely love it! I love the “notes” given to you and the down to earth attitudes of Larry and Chris! Can’t wait to hear all the other daily doser’s too! Thanks for spreading the Good News!
Daily I listen to the daily dose. When I travel on Sundays we take time to watch the sermon on our phones or listen to it in the car. It also helps me keep updated on events
• Love the grid layout instead of a regular menu. • Love that I can get the daily dose here rather than through the text string! • Love that you list the sermons here as well. • tried to send a notice to support and it will not send so might wanna look into that option I’ve tried that many times. (The support link doesn’t work -The gray arrow will not become hot for us to send the email. Maybe check it I am on an iPhone 12) .• also trying to find out if there is a Saturday night or Sunday night service can’t find it listed anywhere, so I can assume that it’s a no? 🙂
I have been playing around with the app for a couple of days. It has a lot of improvements I was not expecting. I like the old app, but the one is ten times better. The fact you can do sermon notes on the app is way cool. 👍🏻 Good job North Coast!
I enjoy using this app to tune into the daily dose, and to take notes during sermons. The app would be even better if it had landscape support on the iPad, such that I can split the screen to have sermon notes and the Bible side-by-side. Please consider adding it.
The podcasts don't work. I don't know if it's the app or a setting but I am unable to get the podcast to play unless I constantly touch my phone screen. Once my phone screen fades away so does the podcast. I need to listen to the podcasts.
I attended NCC in Vista from 2009-2012 when I lived in San Diego as a young 20-something. Being able to stay connected with their amazing teaching ministry since moving away has been such an amazing blessing, and I love sharing these sermons with others. Keep on doing what you do!! On the application’s Sermon Series, it takes me to a page of “Current” header followed by the most current period’s 40-ish sermons/doses in descending. What I want to be able to do is get other series isolated, specifically all the John Life or Death series (some 53 weeks) in either descending or ascending order. I want to rewatch a particular past series, in other words, and watch it on Airplay on my tv. My YouTube tv subscription to North Coast Church has a similar problem, albeit it has every sermon including John Life or Death, but the John series is buried way deep in the descending order with sandwiched by intraweek sermons of different sermons outside that series. Thus the YouTube is also very hard to rewatch a past series of 53 weeks duration easily.
I give 3 stars only because of the content that is offered, but I'd give 1 star for its execution of it. I love North Coast. I attended the church for 4 years when I lived in Carlsbad from2004-2008, and have continued to listen to them through their app since 2008. With every version there are good additions, as well as some bad updates. With this version, if you are only listening to the audio or podcast of the sermons, as soon as your phone goes into standby, or go out of the app to use another app, or even within the app but leave the audio page, the audio goes quiet. So if you are listening to it in the car, you always have to make sure you phone doesn't go to sleep mode. The earlier versions were not like that. If I am missing something, please let me know, since I use this all the time. Update: well the fixed the problem that I was having with the video, but now they changed the way the sermons are organized. I loved when I could go to a series and then pick a sermon. Now you have to scroll through all the sermons. Again, I love the content and will continue to use it despite my “first-world problems”. The content far out weighs the bugs!!!
