me and my best friend use this app, and I love it because of all the features. you can draw, take pictures, take photos out of your camera role, or make videos. they automatically appear on your friend/partner’s widgets, so you can easily see them. we always send each other cute things, and I love seeing what’s she’s up to. I recommend this app 100%. the only thing I don’t like are the occasional ads, but they don’t show up a lot. just saying that there are some in app purchases, which are super annoying, but it’s still really fun either way.
The only enjoyable part about this app is the end product- exchanging cute photos with your partner. However every step along the way is excruciating. First off, the user interface is (ironically) not user friendly. It lacks many basic iPhone shortcuts that users have become accustomed to (ex: swiping right to go backwards a page, etc). There is a massive lack of camera options when taking a photo in-app; you can’t even adjust the orientation of the camera, it automatically converts the photo to inverted and you cannot change it back. The ads are not long, but they are extremely annoying. Without fail, every time you press the ‘+’ button to start a new message, when you press ‘send’ on a message, and when you choose a page (on the bottom hotbar) an ad pops up. Many force you to interact with the ad in order to even have the option to close it. The last (main) issue is the messaging system- it is not instant. When in-app, you must exit and re-open the app in order to load new messages. The refresh feature rarely works, and new messages also take a long time to display in the widget feature. All of these issues make it feel extremely clunky, poorly developed and very enticing to delete. I feel the developer(s) rushed many of these concepts without thinking things through first.
My user got deleted and it’s making me pay a subscription now
So I’ve had the Note Widget app for about two years and when I originally got it, I paid for the lifetime premium where it was a one time purchase for all the tools. Suddenly a couple weeks ago I noticed my widget was completely blank and when I clicked on it wouldn’t take me to the app. I opened the app to find that I’m logged out, and when I tried to log in it could not find my email. I clicked signed in with Apple ID and it prompted me to create a new account. Once I did I clicked restore purchases and it says that my lifetime purchase was created on a different account (it then provided me with an account number of said account) yet when I tried to log in with the email on that account it says it wasn’t found and may have been deleted. There’s no way it could be another email because I tried them all. The fact that there’s no option to repurchase my lifetime subscription shows me they’re trying to scam users out of their money. If you also bought a lifetime premium membership I would beware.
I love it. I make cute drawings for my boyfriend and he sends back his stick figures. it makes expressing my love, through art, a lot easier. However, there are big problems. If i draw for more than 10 min my phone (iphone 12 pro max) literally becomes an oven. I have to exit the app and let my phone cooldown and in just 3 min it’ll heat right back up again. Another issue is it crashes. Now, it crashes only after 15+ min of drawing which is a lot and most people won’t spend that much time drawing because they’re not making detailed drawings and it does it saves! BUT, it saves a drawing from 3 days ago that has literally nothing to do with what you were initially drawing. Another issue with the weird self saving is when you exit out of the drawing sometimes it saves the drawing you were working on, or sometimes it doesn’t and instead it reloads a sketch from the previous day. If i exited out while i was drawing, manually, why wouldn’t it automatically save that drawing? All said and done, i love this app. the tools they give to draw are great, the idea of it is great, being able to post your art for others too see is also cool, but there are still some things that need to be fixed. Id recommend this app for any person who just wants to do cute doodles and notes. other than that, it can be a bit of a hassle and tedious to work with, but you can still make great art.
I remember using this app a couple years ago around there, with a group of friends and we would send each other drawings and updates before, during, and after school. It made some of the best memories for me and my friends and we eventually had a falling out of the app usage as some friends became disconnected. I was reminded of the app today after seeing screenshots and conversations we used to have of the silly stuff we would send and I thought we could get back into it. But unfortunately now it’s pay to have more than one friend connected. This is really disheartening as it used to be just silly fun and now we cannot all get back into the fun tradition we once had. I appreciate the app for bringing me such joy, and creating priceless memories. With that said I do not appreciate it now. Me and my friends should not have to pay money to send pictures to each other. Kinda silly if you ask me.
I have been really enjoying the Noteit app. I can send cute little notes and pictures to my girlfriend. And although I totally love making pictures in the moment to express my love for her.. sometimes I have another idea but I already sent a picture. I don’t want to overwhelm her with my expression of love through multiple pictures all at once. but unfortunately there is no way to make a picture and save it for later. I really hope one day this app will allow me to make drafts of pictures to send to my girlfriend in the future so I don’t overwhelm her with pictures of love doodles. But until then I will continue with my love doodles in hopes that one day I can put all my ideas down in draft form. Sincerely, Future draft doodler
I’ll premise by saying I never ever write reviews EVER unless for good reason. Me and my girlfriend both have this app and it linked well and sends every time with no flaws, but the recent update makes it so every time you open the app it had a pop up for a premium upgrade option. I understand that but if I swipe close the app it pops up again. Then after that if you want to send a note after opening you have to go through an ad which is 45 seconds to a minute EVERY TIME the app is opened. I understand putting ads to help with the cost of running, but ads for crappy games that you can’t click out of for a minute is annoying and a money grab. Like you can’t close out the app or you’ll have to watch another one, really developers you need that ad money or for me to pay you five dollars for something I can do through I message.
Was able to sign on easily, the drawing is extremely simple, but it is missing the most critical part of the application. the drawings only go through half of the time. between me and my partner, we sent a total of 6 drawings in the span of 2 days. however, 3 of the drawings have either never sent, or was severely delayed by more then 15 minutes (i.e 6+ hours). the last drawing i made was on march 3 at 2pm, it is currently march 5 9am and the drawing has yet to be received. this app is extremely disappointing. i hope no one spends their money of this app, it is definitely not worth whatever extra drawing tools or supposed extra friends you can add if the app does not work. i do not recommend this app at all, and instead wish to direct people to other shareable drawing widget apps if you'd like the person to receive your drawings.
I got this initially, so send cute things back and forth with my bf, but I’ve come to the realization that he is not a romantic person. He sent me a picture of someone strangling a Kermit plush. I had to have this picture on my home page until he finally changed it, so about a week before I called him and asked him to change it. If you’re partner is a romantic person, or if you would like to see whatever is in their camera roll, then this is a really cute app, and I adore it. (I am planning on buying the premium version)
This is great and fun to use with my friends but I want the premium benefits without having to pay a membership like how many games do I have to pay memberships on plus for something this little for just a cute little widget on my phone I don’t thing and membership is worth it at most I would pay $8 total for premium but I would never pay more for that other than that I think what they give us is enough for the app but I really do have way too many memberships for more important apps and games that I deal with I don’t want to stack up any more especially for a widget on my phone
I don’t usually write reviews but this is a pretty good app. It’s a super cute app and works really well! I have only a few problems. Like most apps there is a feature you need to pay for but it seems like you need to pay for everything. It gets annoying quickly. Also the very second I opened the app I was highly annoyed because of how many adds!!! There were like 5 or 6 adds in the couple of minutes I was on the app. Other than that it is a fairly good app. It would definitely be a five star if not for those things but it is still great.
I use this app with my bf and I, and it’s so adorable seeing our little drawings from one another. I’m kinda sad how there aren’t more tools, and also how you can only add one person if you can’t get premium. I wish I could add at least 2 ppl :( but overall this app is so cute. I love the community page where you see drawings from everyone, I think that’s a cute touch. But yeah, I just wish there were more things for free :(! I wish you could watch ads to get premium things for a day. Much love <33
This app is super fun, I love to draw cute and stupid things for my friends. The problem is that I can’t share any of the cool art work I see to social media or my friends on the app because it keeps say I have to pay for Noteit plus!!! Why do I have to pay!?! It honestly does not make sense to me, it just makes me feel like the app is trying to leech money off of me. I’m fine with the ads, I am fine without using the extra tools that I probably would never use, but why can I not share? Next thing you know the app is going to limit how many things I can draw and make me pay to draw unlimitedly.
1 reason for that is bc you do not have to pay for it (thank god) 2nd reason is that it is easy to send stuff to them 3rd reason it is WAY easier to draw with then the other apps I tested all of them trust me you want this one :) The last and final reason is it send so fast So I am done hope you download this one bc it is the BEST✌️❤️💋💅😁😃
This app has crashed on my 3-4 times already and I’ve only had this app for about a month, and I don’t draw on it that often either. And if it doesn’t crash, it glitches and takes forever to unfreeze. Really, I feel like my partner is what makes this app tolerable. It’s infuriating when I draw something meaningful for him and it’s is gone in a blink of an eye because it crashed. I understand it’s a new app, but I hope it can get to a point where it doesn’t crash/glitch every time I use it. Not happy right now, but I expect the app to improve as it gains more attention.
I really like the app. Works well and everything. I wish the tools available had a larger selection though. And if you have notifications on for when your partner sends you something, they also send you really annoying notifications saying stuff like “create a drawing for your partner. Insert bad pun here” and you can’t turn those off :// so yeah it’s good overall I just wish there was a setting option to only get notified abt your partners drawings. Not the notifications that are cash grabs
Really cute app for friends/couples. I recommend. Though there is quite a lot of ads but besides that the app is adorable. You have a lot of options to draw and you can even zoom in! As well as post your art and recieve likes and comments from others! For developers: If there was anything I would recommend is a more increased zoom in , a easier color slider to better get the desired color needed, and more brush options! Besides that I love this app!
Its so so so so so cute to do- pictures update quickly and there are some really funny stickers if you’re willing to dish out the $5ish dollars to get the premium. The only complaints i have are over the sticker section, it would be amazing if we could search certain keywords to get certain selections. Its sometimes hard to scroll though every pack for something im looking for. A favorites tab to keep them for later would be cool too!!
There are lots of other variations of this app, but this one is by far the best. There’s more tools and colors, you can see all you and your partners note history, and there’s a page where you can see other peoples art! Not only does it offer way more than any of the other apps, but it’s also easier to use. Definitely 10/10 <3
This app is amazing it works well except it needs work on the interface especially when adding stickers. Adding stickers gets annoying because i have to be constantly scrolling for each one instead of it keeping my place of where I was. There is ads but its not too bad. I like the feed and being able to instantly share my drawing or photo instantly!
I love this app because I was having trouble using other apps like this and downloaded this one it works great does have some adds but you can connect to your partner easily and add it to your Home Screen also you can connect it to any other type of phone so you can connect with your friends who don’t have iPhones
Its a neat way to communicate with your special someone/friend. You can send some stuff that other people make to them or even make some of your own stuff Only bad thing i have to say is that you gotta pay a subscription in order to use every available brush (that being said you do have access to like 5-6 brushes so its still okay i’d think ^v^)
Me and my girlfriend are sending several notes a day and surprising each other. We are putting the widget on our home screen so we can be surprised when we get sent a new one. Despite the 5 second adds there is really nothing to complain about. Love it
Great app and I love the choice to put either a drawing or photo, but the bugs and glitches ruin it. After a day or two, the picture disappears and the screen either turns all white or displays “NoteIt”. There’s no way to get customer support so I can’t get it fixed. I switched over from the original NoteIt because too many people using it were causing traffic, and I’m not sure if thats whats happening here but it completely ruins the experience.
Doesn’t have great accessibility features and is definitely aimed towards able bodied straight couples but overall, 3 stars. Edit: Originally a 3 star review, now a 1 star. I had payed for the premium version. Then they updated it and changed it from a one time purchase to a subscription and all of the people that previously payed, now need to pay 5 dollars once a month for this app. Also people flooded the “popular” uploads of images with drawing of penises and other stupid things. Now that feature doesn’t even exist, this app is getting worse!
i got this app with my gf and my best friend and i love it! the little drawing menu is super cute, i love the explore page option, and unlike many other apps, this one lets you add pics!!! (hallelujah) the ads honestly aren’t too bad and i’m satisfied with the app in general (besides a few bugs here and there). one thing i did wish though is for this app to allow me to have separate widgets for other friends. i wish each of my friends could have their own widget to send me their pictures. i don’t like that pictures from my other friends replace one another based on the most recent sent. i wish i could have everyone’s at once, just on separate widgets.
You can do this anywhere, anytime and with anyone like let’s say Your partner? Your bestie? Your parents or your siblings like I mean anybody and this app you can make widgets which it says and it shows love stuff so they know like the person your connected with knows that you love them ❤️
I love this app so much I communicate with my bff so much with it, although, I would perfer that I didn’t get a notification every hour from the app when I don’t open it. It’s quite annoying, and that the premium pops up every time you open the app. Other than that it’s a great app! (Yes I did just write this paragraph I’m not a bot or one of those weird people—)
I got it and I use it with my sister. you can draw take pictures, get pictures from camera roll and all that but if you want to have more than one person then you have to pay for it but it’s fine for me because I have no friends
I love app and all. It’s very high quality and works perfectly but I think you shouldn’t need premium to add a second friend. I agree with premium but to add a second friend? I don’t think that’s very reasonable. I think you should be able to add at least 2 friends then after buy premium if you need to add more. Thank you and have a great day
It’s good I just couldn’t join my friend she was not in a diff chat with people I gave her my pin and it did not work that is why I would have it a 4 and a half of five but I have it a full 4 because I think having people then 1 person a thing should be free that is all I got that made it a 4 star other then that 2 things I love this app
This is super cute for long and short distance relationships. My boyfriend and I have been writing little notes to each other for almost a year now on this app. It’s so cute to open your phone to a cute little hand drawn picture or doodle. This app is amazing.
i love this app and have had it for a while and recently there have been so many more ads. just about every time i send something there’s 2 ads for when i go to create and then go to send. i understand needing ads for promotions and having sponsors, but having an ad every left and right is ridiculous. i love this app so much and i enjoy using but i would appreciate if the ads were cut back.
I love this app, but there’s one thing about it that drives me nuts. Whenever you draw for too long the app crashes, making it nearly impossible to make any detailed and thoughtful drawings. Also, the drawing space isn’t very large at all. Other than that I like the tools provided and it’s pretty easy to use. Just really wish It didn’t crash so much :(
The drawing feature needs to have like layers or something, my only other complaint is when you have two or more people added and they send stuff a few minutes apart you don’t get to see the first one on the widget, everything else about the app is absolutely awesome :)
My boyfriend and I are long distance. I loved this idea… but I’m really artsy. I like to get detailed. I am able to do that stuff with the tools provided in the app, but; 1.) I wish I could zoom in. 2.) I wish that app wouldn’t lag and cause my phone to restart/overheat in the middle of me drawing something detailed. (It seems like the more lines I make, the worse it gets.)
I love Noteit, me and my significant other love it and we love sending drawings to each other but I don’t like the new update with the “public section” I liked it before because it was just a little thing for me and him and it felt like a relationship app thing idk?

Love the app !! Super fun. But, the double partner feature does not work. Well, it does. But only for one of my freinds. There is three of us, and only one out of the three is able to have two partners while the other two cannot.
I think this app is wonderful for couples and friends and all that such, I don’t really understand why a widget needs ads kinda stupid, it’d be nice to add the small things like dark mode or etc but the main thing is definitely dark mode make it so much better
I’ve deleted the widget from the homescreen 10+ times, and added it back and it’s always blank! I also logged out & logged back in, and deleted the app and redownloaded it but it perpetually stays blank. Just a white square on my home screen. I’ve had this problem since the last 3 updates and it still hasn’t besn resolved. I thought the update today might fix it but it’s still blank. I wish they could fix it.
ion have a partner so i’m using this w my friend and one thing we both loved is the many colors it has bc there’s grids and sliders that allow you all the colors you want and so i can draw in pastels and make everything really pretty :)
The app crashed at some point and when I tried to sign back in I couldn’t. I used Apple ID, so there wasn’t any password saved for it really. If I sign in with Apple ID, it just creates a new account. Now all of my drawings with my partner are gone on my end, I can’t get back in and don’t have a way to! Otherwise I liked the app minus the ads and how it makes my phone burn up.
Cute idea but there’s an egregious amount of ads and it feels like it takes forever to send a photo. Also not fun that you have to go into the app for it to update the picture, it’s supposed to be a nice surprise to just open my phone and see the image change but I only see it change when I’m sending my own picture.
Amazing app. This app really modernizes the ideas of letters to another in a really fun way. My only tiny problem with the app is that it lags or becomes glitchy when browsing and scrolling through public posts.
A decent app that doesn't have the words most ground breaking art tools. It's fun, easy to use, and its never had any issues with me. If you want something cute to send your friends or family, this is a great app!
My Fiancée and I always leave nice notes for each other in the morning and use a lot of paper. Now we can save the notes we write here forever and save a lot of paper. Nice work in the invention of Note It! 👍😊
I really do enjoy this app and being able to send my partner notes. However why doesn't it update in the widget once you receive it? You have to open the app to see it first then it updates on your widget. Unless I have my settings wrong but there aren't much settings to play with.
First time writing a review. This app is not user-friendly, missing functions. You can’t delete your account through the app nor can’t see your profile and make adjustments. If you don’t write your Pin at first you won’t be able to see it again. Why launch a half baked app? The idea is good nevertheless. I sent an email to the designer and only contact from the app’s website, but no response.
