App started out pretty good. I had my membership card linked. Got on today to look up a couple of things and found my card is no longer linked. When I try to look up membership info it tells me 'member details not found'. I've tried calling member services but haven't been able to reach anyone. The map needs to be updated as well.
Every year, I buy our annual family membership. Once I pay, the zoo then advertises their ‘so-called’ great app to use as a membership card. I fall for it every year. I download the app, hoping their membership link is fixed and I can use my phone as my membership card. I’m always saddened that the app cannot link my membership. I only wish someone would read these comments about their app, and care about changing and fixing it. Sadly, these reviews fall on deaf ears. I wish this wasn’t the case.
Noticed a lot of the reviews are negative and really old, so I thought I’d write one! I use this app regularly to check out events and news and whatnot. It’s definitely not the best designed app but it does the job, completely decent
It’s pretty disappointing that the “world’s largest zoo” receiving loads of support (cash) from Omaha corporations and individuals has such a poorly designed app. Map doesn’t work. Membership link doesn’t work. A lot of the content points to the zoo website. I was also greatly surprised there isn’t an interactive guide for walking around the zoo. It’d be nice to have information for the area your standing in available on your phone.
Became a member and downloaded app in case I didn’t have my card with me but the app states “Member details not found” when trying to link my membership. I understand there’s probably a delay until that info has been updated to a database, but it’s been several weeks and from the reviews seems like lots of others have the same problem. Have been a member for over 3 years, never changed my membership number and the app doesn’t recognize my membership number or any other details. You’d think being the #1 Zoo in the entire country, their app would be top tier. It’s 2024, most people don’t want to carry a membership card around anymore and would rather have an app on their phone.
Recently downloaded the app to be able to access my membership card and it doesn’t work. You can’t access it from the app, the special events aren’t accurate or updated regularly. Nothing is correct this app. I honestly expected more from my favorite zoo
You would think if they are going to push the app when you sign up for the membership it would work. I get that most apps are not perfect, but this app doesn’t even work at all every time I put my memebership id in the whole app crashes
The map is handy but it's really off as to where you are on the map. It was over a full long building off on my iPhone X. Confusing until you realize it's wrong. The map should be able to rotate along with the compass and the labels should always be upright regardless of map orientating.
I downloaded the app so I could use my phone for our membership because my husband carries it. I can’t link our membership to the app. I try every year. They say it’s a great app and to download it well what’s the point if you can’t link your membership to it??
A big selling point for the app is the ability to link your membership card to the app and use in lieu of the physical card. The app continues to crash when you try to link your membership. Please fix this!!
I don’t even know why the zoo has an app and advertises this as an app. You cannot make purchases for anything through the app and when you try to link your membership, it never works. This caliber of a zoo should have a working app or just ditch it all together.
Only wanted it for one thing: virtual membership card. Doesn’t work. I’m a longtime member and the renewal website certainly recognizes my info but this app doesn’t. Insult to injury; there are no instructions or contact information saying what to do if it fails. Love the zoo; hate the app
No updates in almost a year. The zoo layout has changed dramatically within the last year, making the map almost useless. The app also lists upcoming events (animal feeding/training...) which are on incorrect days at best.
This app does not work. Why does this exist if it does not work. I tried to get a membership on the app but it did not work. Even though the zoo itself is good the app is terrible.
The app is essentially useless as it can’t find my member details and link my account to the app. The only reason I downloaded the app was so that I don’t have to keep my membership card on me, but it can’t do that, so deleting.
Version History states V.1.1.1 fixed an issue preventing member lookup. Apparently not. The last update was 7 months ago. Please spend a little time and energy updating the membership lookup function and aligning the map.
Like the other review, the app couldn’t locate my membership. I should have known that the app would have annoying issues, just like the zoo’s website.
Cool opening page for kids to watch, but the zoo logo covers almost all the animal faces. Move it down and allow the user to enjoy the interactive page.

We have been members for about 10 years now and have loved the zoo. The app is very solid. However, I would love to be able to save my membership ID card or log in and be able to use the app as my member ID. It would still be secure because you would still need to show your drivers license to verify it is your membership, but this would eliminate the problem of me having the member card in my wallet at work and my wife wanting to go to the zoo with the kids on her day off (or vice versa).
The app looks good, will come in handy when taking the kids to the zoo - can pre plan! I was rather disappointed that I could not link my membership. My membership has not yet expired yet it says it cannot be found. I think a few kinks need to be worked out but the app has great potential.
I downloaded the app in hopes of being able to keep a virtual copy of my membership card. Unfortunately, after installing and uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, I had no success. Please fix this issue and I’d be happy to use the app.
Called member services they gave me my information and it still won’t link. Says member is not found. Use the same information online and member is found.
This app refuses to allow me to link my membership number to the app. The whole reason I downloaded it! Just wanted a back up in case the card didn't make it to the zoo with us. Oh well.
You can't even open this app. It loads for a few seconds then crashes. They need to finish fixing things and send out another update. I have an iPhone 6s Plus
