I love it! Makes updating the cart so much easier snd no more “I can’t find your website”:-) would love to see a Food/hydration log and frankly would ultimately even go so far as to say why can’t we integrate BOTH APPS and have the HOH APP integrated with this?! I love the HOH app, however, it can be confusing and frustrating to navigate until totally customizable on the alarms for timing fuelings and ability to add/edit if forgot to log but did actually complete all fuelings & meals that day…but I digress. A super App would be an all in one just like our all in one access phone number and our all in one access sign in /password access. Keep in simple. ONE APP that does it all. Certainly we have the technology🤷♀️😬 AND consider connecting OPTAVIA ANSWERS & COACH ANSWERS (with an ID# PW verification process to access if needed secure) as well. Just think of it…clients have literally everything customized to them, at their finger tips: their health journey HOH APP, their coaches info, their cart/order info, their optavia answers for all those random Q&A needs. ….just a thought 😜
Nice concept but the app is very buggy (features not working). For example, using it on an iPhone 13Pro iOS 16.0, you cannot enter notes into meal details. If you enter that section, you cannot exit or save. You have to close the app and your edits are lost. Bottom line, you cannot enter notes. The second issue I’ve found is that it often takes several tries to enter a meal before it saves. Another that I’ve experienced is with Hydration Tracking. Again it often takes several tries before it saves, especially if you enter a custom or “Other” amount. Also, once you’ve reached your daily hydration goal, the menu bar for selecting ounces falls out of view and you’re unable to make additional entries. Motion Tracking seems to suffer from the same inconsistent Save issue. It often takes several attempts to save the steps you’ve entered. Overall, it’s a good companion app for Optavia. If the app developers can fix these issues it could be a great tool for those on Optavia and I will edit my review and add stars. P.s. If we could add some wish list items, one would be add an audible alarm for fueling/meal times. The other would give the user the ability to customize the pre-set hydration amounts. 4oz and 12oz would be great to have readily available. Thank you!
I’ve struggled with my weight for over 40 years. I started except that this was my fate, I had a friend posting she had had success on a program called Optavia it was so easy. There wasn’t a whole lot of tracking that you had to do. I literally ate their provided food which is loaded with vitamins and minerals and followed their recipes that were provided for me and I went from 177 to 138 in 6 months!!! Feel better than I have in years! It’s not just the food but the behavior aspects of this program that I liked and was so easy to do. It’s definitely a five star review!
I keep seeing the old app and all it had to offer in reference to the Habits of Health aspect of the program and this new version lacks a lot. It would be great to have an app that actually tracks your days worth of fuelings, fats, water and condiments. I had to create my own printed version since there is nothing I can find that does this. It would also be nice if there was a place to journal and have easy access to the Habits of Health. Obviously not the whole book but the key components for fast reference. The book is too big to carry everywhere but there are moments that it would be nice to have a reminder to get through a tough moment or confusion. The app should also have all the listings of the meat, vegetable, healthy fats and condiments conversion charts as well as the raw to cooked conversion. These are so necessary to be successful on this program and too many of us have print outs posted all over our kitchen. This company has a goal to reach the world and having an app that provides these things would help everyone on the program feel like it is easily manageable. Since I haven’t seen the original app it seems to me that this version and the old version need to be merged together and the above items added. I’m sure most people would be willing to pay a small fee for an app that is comprehensive and so helpful. In closing, I love this program but I know Optavia could do better in this one aspect.
This is a BETA version so it’s a “work in progress”. The area to input where you select whether you had a fuel, a snack or other needs to allow for the option to “add” snacks. If you fill all five fuelings and the lean and green but you also have a snack (making it a seventh input) there’s no way to add it. You have to add that snack in the “Notes” section of one of your fuelings or lean and green. Maybe I’m not understanding how to setup and log the “Motion Tracking” but it’s not giving me a percentage total for my daily steps. Each night I document my steps but all of the “Steps” goal show zero. Hopefully soon the app will be able to connect with smart watches (the iWatch in particular). I’ll give more input at a later date. My wife and I are only two weeks into the OPTAVIA life style.
Not liking the changes to the weight tracker. I don’t like that you can’t see a graph of your entire journey because of the division by years. I just hit a goal and there is no longer a message that says I hit a goal ( the little motivational encouragement means a lot). The glaring red weight number if you are not at the healthy BMI is discouraging. The psychology of the red is known by the developers, I’m sure. Glaring red = you’re not ‘healthy’ yet= fear mongering to keep buying the products. We don’t need a glaring red message to tell us we’re not there yet. We are well aware of that. What we DO need is celebrations and encouragement for every mini goal hit to celebrate our efforts and show us it’s working and we’re on our way. I’m a positive personality but this is discouraging.
Twelve days ago I began the Optavia journey. About 15-20 pounds I need to lose. Truly, it is different than any weight loss program I have done and believe me I have done them all. It is rigid but the results are amazing! The first week I lost 5 pounds. The food you eat is varied and even though you cannot eat anything with sugar in it, there are a lot of Optavia foods that are sweet so that you do not feel deprived because I have a sweet tooth. My Optavia coach is so helpful and always there by text even while she is in Europe! Try it! I do not think you will regret it!
I’m very excited about this transformation plan. I have never had a coach before and I’m very pleased with mine. I’m just trying a number of the fuelings. They’re very filling. I’m glad there’s a 5 & 1 plan. It’s so easy to start with all of the bars and other things that are quick and easy to make. I do wish there were bars that were not as sweet tasting, but that just encourages me to try the other options. I’m setting in and ready to try some of the Lean and Green recipes.
I realize that I am on a delivery schedule. But I would appreciate it if you did not process my orders without alerting me first . as of now I don’t need anything and it just cost me $250. also, I don’t always need the same stuff. I have plenty of cereal right now and I just spent $50 on two more boxes of cereal because my order just regenerates. We all have busy schedules, so I try to make my order date far ahead of time in hopes that by then I’ll have run out of food and I will check my app and just re-order what I need. This is the second time this happened to me and I don’t have that kind of money where I could say it’s only $250. Your product is very expensive. In this modern world of technology, even doctors send a text prior to an appointment. I would appreciate a text. Some kind of alert that an order is about to be processed. If you sent me an email, I don’t check my emails. I don’t have that type of job. I am not computer savvy , I just have my phone. With that being said, if you can stop this order or delay it , that would be much appreciated as well. Thank you for your time Gina Scafidi
Everything was going great. The stuff works then I ordered some for my friend two boxes. It’s all I wanted to send her. They sent a third box that I had not intended to purchase for my friend when it got to her house we had a discussion and she sent it back UPS, the way it came as a return to sender. I have not received my $517 back. That’s a lot of money to swallow. you know dang well that it was scanned when it went into the truck as received by the truck yet I have received no renumeration. I have asked my representative. Who though being a nice person put the onus on me. I called the number and was never able to talk to a human. Optavia said they never received the box . So where is it? And where is my refund for returning it. Did I miss something?
I am loving this newer app. I am a returning client. I was happy to find the app had been overhauled. I like the flexibility of the fueling times. As a bariatric patient, I need to split my lean and green. This makes it so easy! I like the fact that there is tracking for the condiments and fats as well. Each section is user friendly and keeps the focus on the key areas of the program. The journaling area is great for keeping track of thoughts. I give this app a 10/10!
Logging my weight using the scale provided on the y axis, the dependent variable, is discouraging since the values are set for every 20 pounds and the graph is so small. It looks like I have hardly lost any pounds over my time when actually I have already lost over 15 pounds! To better encourage clients to see progress, the scale should be every 1 pound and the graph should display larger on the screen. At the most, seeing 1 week on the x axis before scrolling right is the trend that we who want to lose weight are most interested in. Options to look up more history should be easily made available and intuitive. Don’t let this beta weight log discourage folks!
I would love to see updates for this app that are interesting, interactive and intuitive for clients and coaches working on growing in the 6 areas of health. This part of the app feels very basic and since the Lifebook and habits of health book both refer to the HOH app, this app needs to reflect that. I’m not certain why the other app went away or if it can be copied into this app but I found it to be more interactive, with habit installation feedback which this app totally lacks. It also was visually interesting which is important in engaging people with apps. Would love improvements in this for clients and coaches! Thanks OPTAVIA!
I realize this is a beta version. I can see so much potential! I have hope that there will be more interfacing between programs…. Maybe syncing between Apple Watch, Fitbit, etc. I would loooove to be able to scan my food’s upc code,or search for it in a database, to help me determine quickly the measurements I ought to use and log them (instead of logging everything manually). I do love browsing through the recipes and having a place to log my weight, water intake and fuelings. And, I love seeing my order status right up top. 😊
I think that automatic logouts of this app are unnecessary and the at least once a week is excessive. And I have lost data because it logged me out shortly after recording data. I lost the blood pressure numbers for today because of automatic logout AFTER I saved it, and my journal entries indicate that this might not be the first occurrence. Just like your website failed to edit my food order AFTER the edits were saved. I am still waiting for customer service to fix that problem.
Thanks!! It’s working perfectly now! I love all the tracking info and that it notifies you when it’s time to eat now. Awesome app. My clients and I love it! Since the last update I can’t open anything on the My Journey page. For example, if I try to open the weight loss graph it closes the app entirely. I hate to delete the app and redownload it because I don’t want to lose all my data.
I love the cookbook in the app. These recipes have helped me tremendously to stay at Galway! So, where is the share button? It seems to have disappeared. Also, please have the app work with speech programs such as voiceover. the search button does not speak on voiceover. Most of the app is pretty good with voiceover, but it’s interesting that the search will not speak. The search button is the one I’m talking about. i’m very disappointed that the share button is gone.
The app works pretty well, aside from figuring out how to update an entry for a prior day not being a very intuitive process. However, it would be more helpful if it also had features that some other weight loss programs do - like calculating the Optavia values for regular or restaurant foods, or building and storing your own lean and green recipes. I’m two weeks into the regimen and feel pretty clueless about choosing foods when I have to eat out unless they happen to be on the limited list in the Dining Out guidebook.
Love my coach Nancy she works with me and has helped me to lose approximately 12 lbs thus far! This app is the bomb! Totally amazing I’ve never lost this much weight in such a short period of time! My coach is in constant communication with me, and I can reach out to her whenever I have concerns! Optavia actually makes me feel as if I can achieve my ideal goal weight! What more can I say… Optavia is results!
1) Can’t print Lean and Green recipes. When I hit the share button and select Print, it only prints the photo of the meal. 2) The app should integrate with the Apple iOS Health app. I shouldn't have to manually record my weight in more than one app. 3) It would be helpful if I could pick my meals for the upcoming week and then generate a shopping list, taking into account the number of servings. (Which is a great feature of the recipes function.)
Wish you could make it so clients could communicate with each other, who are also on the plan. Create a forum for clients so they can share stories ask questions and get feedback from each other, who are experiencing the same issues that we are
Overall this app is somewhat useful, but having the ability to set alerts/notifications would make things so much simpler and less frustrating for Optavia customers! Why isn’t this a feature of the Optavia app?? It’s a quick and simple feature that would benefit all users. Optavia, do you realize that thousands of your customers are having to use additional apps (such as EatWise) in conjunction with the Optavia app because you are not providing the tools that we need? Optavia, you get nearly $500 from each customer each month. Will you please add an alerts/notifications feature to remind us when to eat our million dollar fuelings and lean and green meal daily? I will change my review regarding this app if this feature is included.
It does the job. That’s about all I can say - I like that it has weight tracking included. Some improvements that would make it 5 star: 1. Make the hydration goal customizable - my goal is more than 64oz 2. Have a drop down menu to select what fueling was eaten, with “lean and green” being one choice. Maybe even add a time option and notes for the lean and green. 3. Have an average weight loss per week calc 4. Add in a space for the WATCH measurements.
Great way to manage your orders, track your fuelings/lean & green, and great recipe platform! On the other hand, since i updated the app last week, it is now unable to sync back to Apple Health which I had working prior to update. No motion tracker monitoring and no BMI tracking. Whatever happened messed up a good part of the app. Also, I have not found any way to edit my weight on the tracker. Not saying there is not a way to do it, just have not found it.
I really like this app. Helps keep me on track throughout the day. Also love that I can manage my shipping dates and premier box from here. One change: I would like to be able to go back to previous days that I input so I can track patterns for water intake, if I missed fueling etc but because i can’t get back to previous days I can’t do that. Unless I just haven’t figured out how to do it?
This app is horrible. Takes forever to load and remembers nothing. You have to change the # of servings every time you open a recipe, the recipes are organized in such a horrible way sometimes you can’t find what you saw yesterday without performing a search. When you change the servings, in a lot of recipes, it doesn’t change the directions making amounts very confusing. Showing a place to check off your fuelings is not helpful. I do not have trouble remembering how many I have eaten—I have trouble remembering what time I ate last.
I like all the recipes and the ability to change portion sizes for individuals or families. It also needs a tracking feature. Where feulings, condiments, water, lean and green can be tracked. Even better would be a feature where you can enter what feuling you want and have the ap notify you when it’s time to have a fueling. Also in the tracking feature. A place to track weight and body measurements. Half this ap seems to be about tracking your order not your progress.
Unable to enter main details and hit, enter keyboard, does not disappear, the program is still not working on new iPhone 15! Please fix it. Thanks Still unable to use the optavia program on my APPLE 15 phone! Can not enter any data for what you have are, like fuels an lean an green meals! Please update me! Thanks
It would be awesome if it included a food log so you could log your daily fuelings in the app like other food apps. I think it would be easier to be accountable and making sure you’re eating on time and any changes that may need to be made. Also creates a log for the coach to review. Lean and green could use a algorithm like my fitness pal etc.
This app is helping me daily. Stay on track. I love the many different features that it offers! So many different menu options to help me have a wide variety of choices of really enjoyable meals. Most of all I love that it helps me stay accountable to myself throughout the day.
This app would be much more beneficial if you could use it to track fuelings and food. It wouldn’t need to be anything fancy just boxes that could be marked off. It would be nice if it included all programs ie. 5&1, Nursing moms. Another helpful feature would be a custom alarm for eating reminders. It’s sad OPTAvia has an app but to track the above mentioned you have to use other apps not developed by OPTAvia or a self made log printed off on paper. For the cost of OPTAvia products one would think the tools/app would be more useful to the program.
The variety of food that I’ve eaten is tasty and not what I had expected. I am a little nervous on what I need to eat for the lean & green. I’m figuring it out one step at a time. I know it is better for me and I can’t wait to see what the end results will look like when I’m finished. Thank you
I wanted to go to the app but can only be on iPhone which I wanted my app on my Mac computer makes it big inconvenience to use my computer keyboard then a phone. Also wanted to stop ordering so much and not be on a plan, which opticians wouldn’t let me do, getting too expensive to keep charging on cards I want to stop using credit cards. Food does not taste very good am in transition and can’t wait to order less optiva products. Anita
It has already been mention, but tracking what food and fuelings you are eating would help. Also an easy way to see your history of food, water, etc. also adding a time option for when you are eating as well as a timer would be helpful.
Great app for keeping track of Fuelings , Lean and Greens, Water intake etc. providing one location to store everything you need for success. One thing I’d like to see is a ‘notification’reminder when you’ve gone beyond your timeline for the next fueling. Love all the recipe ideas!
I’m not sure what has happened to my app . I was able to see the recipes and other parts of new app . Now I just can see my orders . Can you please help me fix the app . I’m using login without password . Might be the problem . Loved the new app .
I am unable to see all of the login on the screen. I am able to see about half of the letters/numbers/symbols. I have an iPhone Pro12 Max. I too would love to see this app replace the transfer to the website rather than still using the regular website all the time. You go from doing things in one app to shifting gears and flipping back and forth, that doesn’t make sense.
You need to add some color to your website. It’s not easy to figure out where to go to find things. The website needs an overhaul with updates to bring into comparison with other weight loss sites. Better search engine for food choices and recipes. The recipe that I used yesterday lacked the serving size per portion. The cheese, Chile Riano recipe was pretty good, but made it sound like it was for one, and it was too large of a recipe for that.
App is good, however, I would love to see the app sync with my Apple Watch for steps and exercises. And, I love to see the app include Lifebook elements each day in the form of questions/lessons/education to reinforce the program and encourage daily positive thoughts. Although I’m just 2 weeks into the program, I’m very optimistic about my weight loss journey. Thank you for considering my suggestions.
Loading is slow, getting to your order redirects you to a browser, editing your order is difficult due to having to continuously having to add - it would be great if you could pick your items them add to order. Also increasing or decreasing number of an item tricky. A scroll option instead of +\- would be better.
OptaVia has such an amazing opportunity to create an app that encompasses all the tools we need to succeed in optimal health: 1-the recipes is great 👍 please offer shopping list function or weekly meal planning lists. For ex. I select 7 recipes for my week and it populates a shopping list for those recipes. 2-order info is fine but should be fully able to modify order and execute from app 3-why can’t you place here a tracker/alarm for the fuelings? Why have a separate app for habits of health? Combine apps and create a powerful tool for people to track their health in one place. 4-expanded functionality with client answers accessible here 5- a place that’s clearly states the clients why every time they open the app
The app could be potentially useful. The app tries to offer recommended recipes opposed to scrolling annoyingly through Facebook pages or Pinterest; however, the app does not give the kosher option. Searching kosher gives pork and various other meats one cannot consume. Vegetarian sometimes pulls things of use. Getting there…still needs work and consideration.
It’s a great start. However, the recipes are sometimes off. When you toggle between 2 to 4 servings, only some of the ingredients adjust for the new amount. Then you end us using too much of an ingredient. For instance, the blackened shrimp lettuce wrap. 4 servings and 2 servings call for 1 tablespoon of lime juice and 12 lettuce leaves. The recipes shouldn’t leave someone guessing on amounts. That defeats the purpose
This was a good app. But now I can no longer log into it. Keeps telling me something went wrong try again. I uninstalled, reinstalled, reset my password, yet it still won’t let me log in. I’m able to log in on the actual website without any issues, so I know it’s the app that’s acting faulty. Hopefully it’ll get fixed because it was a good app!
The functionality on this app could be so much better. The options to view your progress are way too limited-monthly and calendar year options. Such a missed opportunity to provide positive reinforcement by showing your entire journey or by celebrating milestones. Don’t get me started on the log in process can never remember your credentials or the fact that you unbelievably cannot update your order from the app.
I’d like to be able to revisit the Notes I’ve written during previous days’ tracking. What good is the Notes section if we can’t refer back to them after the current days’ end? Otherwise, the App is working great for my needs!
This helps me keep track of the times of my fuelings and water intake. One thing I wish it had was a shopping list to make grocery shopping easier. If the recipes attached to the list it would be amazing!
Starting on this health journey is something that I must do. The 1st day was good. The next two days were a bit rough for me, but I made it. I got a little weak, and a slight headache. The second day I had to take a extra fuel meal bar, day 3, still felt that way, but not as bad as day 2. My body is adjusting.
I love the functionality of the app. But, it fails to login and has been down a lot recently. That means, I need to remember when I eat, and drink to follow up in the app for accurate tracking. I would love for more options when tracking food. For instance, how much protein in a meal. Overall, I will still use it.
You must leave the App to edit your order & the App & editing is not user friendly. Items aren't labeled if for 5:1 or transition plan. When I first started Optavia, unknown to me, I ordered a few transition items, rather than 5:1! What a waste of money & it delayed my weight release, which has been slow for me. Frustrating!
