For years, I was the only Bitcoiner I knew. I tried to tell family and friends about bitcoin, but they all thought I was involved in a scam or a cult. I needed some legit bitcoin people in my life, people who knew what I knew and could speak on it thoughtfully. I found them on this app, which connects you to Bitcoiners and meetups in your area. The weekend of the last halving, I went to two different celebration meetups that I learned about on this app, and I met a bunch of cool, interesting, and intelligent people I never would have known without this app. And in so doing, I gained perspective on the bitcoin community’s vitality and culture. This app empowers Bitcoiners by bringing them together socially and intellectually, and I highly recommend it, because we all must make our own Bitcoin journey, but none of us need make it alone.
I traveled across the USA several years ago visiting Bitcoin meetups and I wish I had Orange Pill App back then. The ability to find Bitcoiners in different cities and connect with them is huge. It’s completely changing the way I travel. Before I go to Airbnb or Booking I am going on OPA to message a few Bitcoiners, get their recommendations and see if there’s places I can stay or eat that take sats. Also a great way to find locals to hang out with in a city, which is always the best way to travel in any foreign place. Love this app, and it keeps getting better and better!
So, I take issue with the fee for this app. It’s $5 a month, $40/year, $100 forever membership. I probably wouldn’t have issue with this if when you sign up it would allow you to see how many other people in your area have the app with an active membership. This is like a gym charging you a membership fee but you can’t see what equipment they have. I don’t care if I can’t message them until I have a subscription- at least I’ll know if it’s with my money to start a membership. And let’s be honest- I also don’t care if they downloaded the app 2 years ago and haven’t logged on since, I want to know about active members. But asking $5 just to “check” if there are other Bitcoin people around me, only to find out there are none, or that the nearest people listed are from a stale database and they aren’t even actively subscribed to the app anymore is useless. I’d rather use NOSTR or X if I want to talk to Bitcoin people.
THE Bitcoiner Social Layer is the best $100 I’ve ever spent on an app in my life, period.
The mining seminar I attended a couple years ago was fun. I socialized for a bit afterwards & that was nice. I went to Bitcoin 2022 in Miami. That was AWESOME! Prior to downloading OPA though, I'd not yet attended a local Bitcoin meetup. After downloading OPA, I reached out to some people, made some connections, learned about a meetup, attended, & had a great time! I really enjoyed being surrounded by people I could talk to for hours. It's a reunion of happy stranger-friends. I’ve been able to connect with all types of people whether you’re new, old, young, distinguished and well known, or just learning, this is the place to find it. And to make things even more tight knit, you may even get to chat with some influential Bitcoiners in the space. So far, I’ve been delighted with my experience using the app. I came here to network with likeminded individuals, and that’s exactly what it has delivered. 10/10 would recommend.

I was beginning to think that I was the only one out here. Everyone of my friends just would look at me like I was crazy whenever I say the word bitcoin. No-coiners just don’t get it yet. Most people stay to themselves because they don’t know that there are sat stackers around them and you start to feel like your in your own echo chamber. Learning that there are others around you in your area by using this app is a relief and lets you conversate, find the local meetup spots, and find out what venders others use that except btc. I am also able to watch the circular economy grow over time. And it has. Thank you Orange Pill App for making this possible.
Great Bitcoin app to connect with like minded people
I paid for the lifetime membership. No regrets. It can be very challenging to meet bitcoiners but this app makes it very easy. The app is expanding in different ways since I joined, too. For people new to Bitcoin, this could be a great way to speed up your knowledge base from bitcoiners who have experienced all the FUD and fiat price fluctuations and can ground you on the fundamentals. Highly recommend you take the leap and meet like minded people who share the values of Bitcoin. IYKYK.
It’s awesome having one of the founders reaching out to see what you think and having an open line of communication. Once this app blows up I’m sure they won't be able to communicate as efficiently but if this is a sign of their customer service standards, then I am excited. It’s also nice not getting spammed with ads. Spending $2.99 a month is nothing. Just skip your $5 daily coffee or be more effective and make your own so you can stack more sats.
We love Bitcoin and we love this app. Through this app we were able to connect with a local meetup in our pretty small city and through this meetup my wife and I were able to meet another couple around our age with kids around our kid’s age who do a community bonfire about 5 min from our house which we are now attending. Thank you to the creators of the app and thanks to the bitcoiners for emphasizing community!

The OPA is surprisingly well done for a niche social app. I came to the app to see what Bitcoin events are near me and to connect with other serious Bitcoiners. I’m looking forward to new features that help us share ideas and orange pill as many people as possible. What’s pretty clear is that everyone on the app has a passion for Bitcoin and I think we all hope to live in a world made better by Satoshi’s gift.

So lovely to have chat and meet up access to other Bitcoiners. The developer is cool enough to message everyone personally. I found out about the app on the Fountain podcast app, then came over to Orange Pill and found people to connect with and events happening. It’s been great. For two days now the application has been slow. It’s takes time to receive messages and when you send a message it indicate a red sign at the bottom of your message. For me it means that the message has not be sent. If there is an error with the application please fix it.
A new community space to connect with people and ask questions. So far I’ve met some good people who aren’t just interested in “Number Go Up”, but how we can transform the world through projects involving Bitcoin as the backbone. I’ve also begun relationships to engage in the upcoming Nashville Bitcoin Conference in July! Hope to see y’all there.

Seeing some negativity about being a paid app so here’s my top 2 positive attributes about having to pay: 1. If it’s free, then you are the product i.e. data mining and selling your information 2. Value 4 Value - I’m good with paying for something I find value in. It’s a direct transfer of value from user to developer I have been able to find a local bitcoiner and we started an area meetup. Also have connected with other influential plebs I’ve met at conferences and able to ask direct questions to them and they respond! Another great tool in the push to adoption of bitcoin and the bright orange future!

Orange Pill is a fantastic way to meet other Bitcoiners in surrounding areas. Over the past six weeks we’ve attended three Meetups and have also connected with great people outside of the Meetups. I love this app. Bitcoin is still very very early, and the vast majority of people know only 1 Bitcoiner IRL, if any. This app has helped me grow my circle of likeminded acquaintances, helped me find local and remote events, and helped me connect with people all over the globe. Bitcoin twitter is fine for signal, but OPA is where you go to connect in a human way.

I’ve been using the app for a few months and it’s fantastic. Formed a group with a dozen local bitcoiners and just had our first meetup. Last weekend. It’s perfect if you’re interested in starting/joining a local meetup. They also just added a merchants tab which is awesome.
Meeting other Bitcoiners from around the world has been the most interesting hobby I’ve ever had. This group of people are able to talk deeply about things I care about- economics, technology, and freedom. This app has helped me meet more Bitcoiners! Bitcoin is freedom money and the community of users needs to grow exponentially, so we can collectively regain our financial freedom. The Orange Pill app is a great tool for doing just that. I love this app! It has been super helpful for connecting with other women in Bitcoin along with other Bitcoiners in general. It’s hard to imagine what I would do without it. Whether it’s at Bitcoin Park, Bit Block Boom, the Pacific Bitcoin Festival, or my hometown, I have made incredible connections and found great events on here.
I was looking for an app for like-minded people In my area and in general to connect with. OPA has filled that need perfectly. I love the UI and the clean design. I also appreciate that it’s a straight paid app. No nonsense and up charges or freemium games. Only been using it a few days and already joining Meetups and connecting with folks. There’s plenty of us out here - we just need to work together on this and expand the network. There are like-minded folks all around you - you just don’t know it yet. Get the app and pay the sub. It’s very reasonable.

I am always reminded of the knock knock joke about oranges and bananas when I think of the orange pill but this app is no joke… While I don’t spend a lot of time on the app I have found it to be useful for connecting to other bitcoiners and to finding events near me, even though I haven’t yet attended any of them is nice to see what my options are. I signed up for the lifetime membership and that seems to be a good fit as it was priced fairly. I need to spend more time here as I have found it to be high signal!!!
I like the fact it’s Bitcoin only, so it attracts the type of people I would like to hang out with. It has a lot of potential by adding merchants, but even today it’s pretty useful with bitcoin events calendar.
