One minor issue

Love the app. One minor issue, but important for me: I’m having issues with adding an image to the pdf. I’m wanting to add a .png file with a blank background to the pdf, but whenever I insert it, a white background is automatically added and the white background cannot be edited out, despite it not being present in the original .png file. The same issue of the white background being there is present when importing a stamp as well. Another workaround to this, for me at least, may be to insert a signature, but I’m unable to upload a signature; the only option to add a signature is to draw it on my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Great app overall though!!

COMPLETE RIP-OFF!

This app seemed promising to begin with... and it really could be, if only they were not trying to rip-off their customers into purchasing more advanced plans (or plans they don't need!) They do this I believe by once you made you purchase (example I purchased the year subscription, through my Apple account), I believe once an update happened, you will attempt to print or save a document without the watermark, and upon doing so it will request you purchase a new plan! You can select the refresh button, it will say refresh complete and then still demand a purchase of a NEW (MORE EXPENSIVE PLAN). If you try to select the plan you currently have (example, the yearly plan) it will say "you have already been enrolled in this plan." The truth is, if you have faults in your app, that take money from customers and give them ZERO product in return, that is STEALING! If this is an "app malfunction" then you should not have your app on the store with products / plans for sale. BUYER BEWARE.

No customer support

I loved the app and purchased it. I had in mind to get a corporate license if they have one. I’m on day six and three emails sent to support. I have not received any sort of acknowledgment. The original problem stemmed from not being able to login on a second device. It says I have the wrong password. I do not have the wrong password. I use all of the same passwords for every app I use for business. However,I wouldn’t know if I accidentally entered in the wrong password because it only required me to enter the password once. There was not an option to confirm the password on the initial account setup. Trying to set a new password is impossible because I do not get the emails the app says it’s sending. Now, after being on the phone for 20 minutes waiting on a customer care rep, an automated voice came back and said no customer care rep is available at this time. I’m demanding a refund and do not recommend this program.

Awesome!!

I have used a few different types of editors and so far PDFelement has become my go to. The user friendly interface makes it easy for a person like me that is not so great at editing feel like Im a pro. One thing I like using is the Multitask feature on my iPad, being able to view and work on 2 pdf’s at the same time helps me be more productive. I also like the feature that lets me merge 2 pdf’s, this has helped me out on a few occasions! Overall I like what I see and will continue to use this as my editor of choice.

App is general good but

Today I was creating a form as I've done many times before using this app. for some reason, the fields worked on my Mac where I created the form. but not on a windows machine. some fields worked but some wouldn't. contacted support and she kept inssiting that I had to purchase the windows license for the form that I create on my Mac licenssed copy, to work on a windows machine. wouldn't escalate or let me speak with someone else. fianlly after insisiting that she was wrong, she said they would get back to me over email. please train your support agents. the app has potential but is far from perfect. and for the times that issues come up, I would like to someone that knows what I am talking about.

Close to the perfect replacement for Acrobat/ PDFelement

If you’re trying to dump the horrendous subscription model of other programs and find one that integrates iOS and Mac, this is THE ONE… almost. It’s a bit costly for the Lifetime license of the App or the Mac/iOS combo, and after testing about 20 different Apps I am almost willing to pay it (see their Element Reader App if you just want a free App similar to Mac Preview). But the purchased Pro features are missing quite a few things: a true lasso/snapshot tool, OCR on scans, multi document tabs, customizable toolbars, full screen presenter mode, a laser tool, and advanced handwriting recognition (6 of these are included in the free Goodnotes App!). Verdict: If you need full functionality and integration between Mac and iOS this is the best, BUT not if you can get by with the very good, free annotations of other Apps (See the free versions of PDF Viewer, Goodnotes and PDF Expert). NOTE to Developers: add the missing features and you’ll have an App well worth paying for, a unique standout in a crowded market.

It's sooo gudddd

Search for an app to annotate pdf, i know that i have to pay for it. But this app made me surprised when all the functions are totally FREE. I thought the free one will just offer some basic one. But in this amazing app, i mean all necessary functions are free. I swear that you will have your pdf annotated perfectly with no money (if you dont mind the watermark) To sum up, for a student like me who dont have much money and have tons of assignments to do online, I really appreciate the team's effort for providing us this wonderful app. Thank you

Love This App

This app is very easy to use, it is very accurate, and I love how well you can make the pictures that you take come out, looking like you’re reading out of a book and not just some online conversion app. I would like to do a comparison to Adobe Acrobat Reader, in the future, because that has been an app that I have used for many years, but something tells me that PDFelement has surpassed Adobe’s ability, especially in terms of accuracy.

Could be an iPad revolutionary

I’ve used this app on windows so when I had to annotate textbooks and books for my classes, I knew I should get it on my iPad. This app is almost perfect, however, it really needs some selection features. Specifically, it would be really nice to be able to scroll with one finger anywhere on the page, and be able to select/highlight with the apple pencil (currently if you use on finger and try to scroll down in the middle of the pdf, it highlights a bunch of stuff). Ofc, it doesn’t have to be that specifically, but it would make this app perfect and a must have.

Misleading

I don’t mind a good app that charges for their software. What I can’t stand is an app that tries to trap you. I have to edit a single pdf by adding a single text box, therefore it is my aim to get a free pdf editor app for a very simple task. This app markets itself as free, allows you to make your edits for free, but then if you want to save your document lets you know that you have to pay for that feature (meaning the app is useless unless you intend to pay). They do this after allowing you to put in the work to make the edits. On a technical note, the app does not allow you to move text boxes where you want them. You drag to a location and it will stick to an entirely different column.

$7 monthly for Pro Version, 100% worth it.

Has tons of editing & converting & scanning tools, & as a student in the field of neuroscience, physics & more, it’s amazing for the price. Has & does everything I need to study any article or anything I want as a PDF or can turn a file into a PDF & it’s perfect for collecting info & creating PDF’s for research & sharing purposes. Also, I saw an AI service option for about $10 so that could help out a lot. 10/10

Very easy to use PDF editor

I recently downloaded this PDF editor and honestly I didn’t know what to expect. I imported a couple of PDF’s and started using the built-in tools to edit them. I am very surprised and how well it works. You can easily edit text, add highlights, underline, add a bold font, etc. This app is very easy to use and user friendly. I gave it 4 stars because when you want to export the PDF, it leaves a watermark. Otherwise, this app is a must for anyone looking to edit PDF’s both on mobile or on desktop.

File management system

I’ve tried a few PDF editors and the one thing that makes PDF Element above the rest is the folder file management system. Being a PC user it’s nice I can easily make folders to organize my files. I hope they expand on this. My only wish is to make files directly and easily shareable through email within the app instead of cloud services. If you can I haven’t found it.

Finally! An app as gr8 …& even better than Adobe…

It’s BETTER THAN ADOBE ACROBAT, because the basic APP is free! Upgrades can be purchased, but unlike Adobe’s THREE expensive SEPERATE APPS ( scan ; acrobat ;& sign!) No thanks! Finally, convert files into pdf without the cost and never ending weeks into months where they fly by and another charge is due! Thankyou to a great app! I discovered this APP, via google & searching for the best programs that are similar to Acrobat, PDF conversion and FREE! Thank you

Life Saver!

A lot of people I know don’t have access to a scanner or printer at home and this app is really a lifesaver. It makes working with documents easy to do just right on your phone. I work with clients who have to submit documents as well and I’m constantly recommending this app to help speed up the process. It makes things quick and easy and it’s greatly appreciated!

Do not buy!

Terrible app and unable to actually get in contact with their customer service and figure out the app and/or to log in. This is a complete ripoff and MAJOR SCAM! I tried to reach out to customer service…no existence! Working with this app is not as easy and functional as they say and surprisingly as the “reviewers” are saying too. I am wondering if those reviews are fake or simply people working within this app. It’s also unfortunate that there is no REAL trial period to test all the functions out first and instead have you pay first and try it but also not work with you to make it work. Marking pdf’s and saving them or even trying to access them is not as easy as I thought either. I thought this would be a much better app than the apple markup one, but it’s not. I think it is important to know that this app does not work well and maybe only the developers can use it and trying to get money off of others to try and use too but cannot. DO NOT BUY!

Great app for a beginner like me!

I got this app on my old phone a while back, and i just have to say that it was extremely easy to use! The overall interface of it was user friendly, which made the pdf application i was filling out very easy to do! I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who needs to do quick things on a pdf! I would try it again & even purchase the premium version!

This is the best

Wow, this app sure is a great app. It opened my PDFs and I was even able to draw on the PDFs and export them. Drawing and exporting on PDFs on my iPhone? I never thought I’d be able to do it! It can open some templates I use for games and it can even fill in the boxes on those templates. I’m giving this 5/5 stars for just a phenomenal, simple to use app that I’ll be sure to come back to time and time again.

Fast and accurate scanning app

I love how fast it accurately captures the image of items with precision on the edges. If you’re not careful it will capture the page before you’re ready! Instead of saving the scanned item with a generic, I wish that the program would stop to let you rename the file instead of having to do this afterwards.

Poorly run operation

After buying a perpetual license I was told I didn’t have pro account while saving an important document. It would not log me back in and I spent an hour dealing with a terrible customer support system which booted me out of the chat about 6 times. I had to log out and lose my progress in order to log back in via apple only to lose my doc completely. When I tried to ask about the lost doc… you guessed it, I was booted out of the chat again. What a poorly run operation. Disgruntled customer service. Probably worn out from talking to unhappy customers (understandably).

So far so good…

I just now downloaded this app and have been trying out some of its features. I really like the features that are available and dissemble design of this application. I will try to update this comment in the future to let you know how I feel after using it over a reasonable period of time. All that being said, so far so good.

Best study buddy

I am currently taking courses online and PDF Elements is helping keep all my digital notes in order and organized. I have been looking for an app that would assist me in taking screenshots of my digital textbook and being able to mark notes in margins and underline and add digital post it is amazing it making digital learning more functional.

Used to love this app… not anymore

I purchased both the iPhone and desktop version. Both where supposed to be a one time purchase for everything. I have lost track of where that went with the absolute blitz of constant changes to the apps structures. What I do know is since your last update for iPhone I can now no longer scan to email on my iPhone. Used to be so easy to perform tasks and used it constantly in the business I work in. It would seem I must now add it the bone yard of the rest of the over complicated almost useless apps I have gone through

Excellent Program that replaced another subscription app. This is extremely useful!

I have been using another PDF for years. Weary of the high cost of subscription. This is the best solution I have found. Purchased the pro version one time payment and enjoying it very much on my ipad. Thanks for a great product.

Lacks basic features

I use this app only because it allows me to swave as a pdf. But using it on iphone or ipad is far inferior to PDF Pen.... Pro... 1. I cannot find how to show table of contents ... my fiddle tunes are sorted on the table of contents so I can quickly find what I want and when I tap on it PdfPenpro takes me to that page. I can not find that feature in Element. 2. When I do search in element it shows me the page but does not take me to that page when I touch on the title. These are mandatory features and when I went to the wondershare website I could not find where to let them know since maybe the features are there but I can not find them? I do us other Wondershare Products and love them.

Better than Adobe for my needs, great price

I was using an older version of Adobe Acrobat and want to to upgrade to the latest version, but saw an article that mentioned PDFelement. Thought I’d check it out and glad I did. Features and price more than met my requirements for the way I work with PDFs.

PDFelement

PDFelement has been my app to go to on my IPad. Specially for their business approach to only charge one time fee, while all the others started implementing a subscription base. I’m sure most people doesn’t have the need to edit a pdf frequently enough to justify paying for a subscription.

Finally!

A fantastic and modern PDF tool. Downloaded and immediately paid for full features before using. Worth every penny, I’ve only scratched the surface of the features. I’m back to using an Apple pencil and digital notes. Notability user off and on for years…meh. iOS version rocks!

Over good product

I have use PDFElement from version 6 which was not effective like this version. I am very happy that I got this version with a great discount for old users. This version almost satisfied me all many aspects. I recommend people use the trial and buy it. Thanks developers.

Recently purchased and so far not good

I have recently switched from adobe acrobat to PDF element. The interface is a bit clunky, but functional I recently tried to scan a document which initially dropped it on my phone. I went to upload it to my document cloud, and it stays at 0% forever. I’ve tried to restart the app, but no luck this seems like basic functionality.

Needs ability to remove app header/footer (or better yet give true dark mode)

I use this app to read books in PDF format. Using dark mode on OLED screens is a great way to conserve energy, since individual pixels can be powered on/off (i.e., black pixels require no power). Neither the pro nor non-pro version support iOS dark mode. However, I can achieve it with a bit of a hack in the non-pro version. Invert the colors under accessibility options, open the PDF, and double click on the text to remove the app header. At that point, all that is visible is the text in white. But you cannot double click to remove the header/footer in the new pro version. So I will unfortunately have to continue to use the old version if I want to save my battery.

Consistently upgrading and improving

I chose PDFelement years ago as a more economical alternative to Adobe Acrobat because it was a good app. What is really nice is to see that these developers never stop evolving their app for the better. I can not wait to see these beta AI features expand! Keep up the awesome work, guys!

Excellent

I rarely write apps, but this one has been essential in making my iPad my main computer. There are very few iPad apps on the App Store that offer a fully functional and well thought out PDF editor AND the option to buy the software outright. A+

So many uses

PDFElement provides so many uses/capabilities for pdf documents. I like to read and take notes on the document, so PDFElement makes my life easier. I also use this to create training certificates with hand written signatures. They look awesome. Keep up the great work!

Everything is great with some minor functions

This is a very powerful document app. However there is some features that the developer can consider adding in such as text to audio or read aloud function and the use of Apple Pencil with pawns rejection.

This app is one of the best apps on the markets for anything PDF. It’s editing ability is top of the line and it’s ease of use is very easier for even the most inexperienced user. Anyone who deals with PDFs regularly is missing out by not having an app like this!

Bought the perpetual license, doesn’t work

I bought Pro Perpetual license so I could export images from my PDFs to mark up and so I could sign paperwork. The UI is a mess, it took me some time to find the sign option on desktop and when I put the app on my iPad it wouldn’t carry over my license. You sign in with your Wondershare ID in the app, but on the desktop app it just uses your Apple ID. I tried everything to get access on iPad. Connected my Apple ID to my Wondershare account, (there’s no option to restore purchase) tried to enter the order number I got, tried to recover the receipt on Wondershare via all my A ID connected emails, to no avail. I also tried signing on desktop and it wouldn’t let me sign paperwork. I’d rather take screenshots than us a product that doesn’t work. I filed a case with Apple to get my money returned.

Not good for Student

So I download the app , I created a folder with many sub folder inside representing the course I took in college , I download my assignment pdf to write in it , first of all the space mouse pointer not working at all in iOS Second when you allow me to write my whole assignment and go to watch video and get back all what i wrote is gone I try to write again then press save shows me to go to pro so I can save why you don’t tell us before we waste our time . Bad app

What incentive do I have to move from Acrobat?

I downloaded just so I could leave a review after reading a misleading article about how this could be considered a replacement for the now subscription based Adobe Acrobat… this is a disgusting subscription based product too - what incentive do I have to make a change to an unproven product using the same ridiculous pricing model? I don’t see any incentive, and neither do others… this one gets deleted just for being misrepresented to me.

Easy to use!!!

As a part-time tutor in the coaching sessions, I used to grade the tests, and it was a hectic process. With PDFelement in my life, physical papers are easily converted from image to PDF documents to annotate them better. I can access the software on iPad and use the markup tools to grade whenever I want to. ‍

cloud unfriendly

The app does not work transparently with the cloud, Instead, it insists on downloading files from the cloud. When I go to save back to the cloud, it doesn’t remember where it came from. For those of us using multiple devices, this does not work. For those of us who use cloud as part of our recovery strategy, this does not worj

Glitchy

I’ve had this app for a few years and have always run into glitches with it. Recently, it kept randomly deleting new files that I took a lot of time to assemble. After remaking the same one three times only for it to immediately disappear, I decided to try redownloading the app but now all of my files are gone. I give up! Wish I wouldn’t have paid for this.

Works okay.

I have two issues, looses the place in a document most of the time. Every time the app updates one must log back in. since it updates at least once a week, it is a real pain. The latest update fixes the second issue. It still does not open a pdf file at the last place one was at.

We need Arabic language support

It would be great if you could add more languages support as well. I think there’s some possibility to edit Arabic words but never written them, and even so it doesn’t support the right-to-left writing system. I hope you could do something about it. Sincerely

Great app and very easy to use

This app is easy to function. It's very simple to edit a pdf. One thing I really like about this app is that it's your one stop shop to edit your pdf. There are some in app purchases also.

Reneged on perpetual license

I bought a perpetual license for this program, which worked fine for a while but eventually stopped being recognized. Support just said it wasn’t their problem since I bought it through the App Store, but Apple confirmed it was a 3rd party licensing issue, as I suspected. The developer just saw there was an opportunity to extract more money from me and decided not to honor what they sold. Totally unethical, do yourself a favor and find an alternative.

features available on microsoft only

Be aware that all the advertisements for summarizing PDF files are only available for the Microsoft version, not for the Mac and iOS versions. I submitted a request for a refund on my expensive subscription, but Apple Support refused it. Another issue is with the GPT features – they have limited use, and once you reach the limit, you're required to pay again. Consider this your warning!

Exactly What I Needed

I had papers that I needed to scan into my phone and edit the text on them and this is EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED! I searched everywhere and other apps wanted a arm and leg just to edit 10 pages! I would highly recommend this app!

Right to left view

I can’t read an Arabic book , using the ( two page view ) because I can’t change it from ( left to right ) to ( right to left ) and you need to add this feature if you want an Arabic reader to use the app
