Inertia: The only thing preventing our law firm from changing away from PracticePanther to a different software platform. This app is filled with potential but the team at PracticePanther fails to listen to their most loyal customers. As the managing partner of a midsize law firm, I’ve been using PracticePanther firmwide for three years. During that time I’ve made countless suggestions ranging from basic bug fixes to small feature additions that would make the software much more usable. As just one example of their buffoonery, I suggested more than six months ago that they update the mobile app to provide push notifications whenever a client sends a text message through PracticePanther‘s business texting feature. After all, what good is a mobile app if the attorneys and paralegals involved on a matter have to be sitting at their desk and logged into PracticePanther to monitor for incoming client text messages. To date, PracticePanther has failed to implement this minor change. Instead, as has been my experience over the last three years, the company deployed a sub par new feature and, without regard for client feedback, moved on to what will undoubtedly be their next effort to put lipstick on this proverbial pig.

The app has a lot of features but can be clunky and not so responsive. The calendar feature keeps bringing a 500 (server) error, and even if it was working could work better. There should be a superquick way to enter a task or event, but as it is the steps seem too many which discourages entering in the fly. Needs work.

I haven’t used the app as much as I have in the past due to working from home during the pandemic, but it’s always been a great way to stay on top of my existing clients when I’m traveling. The star of the show for me is when the sms text messaging automation was added as it helped me stay in constant contact with my clients. Great support and an even better desktop experience makes me a happy camper!

I love the idea of having a desktop app because I use Practice Panther so frequently. But the app isn't as convenient for billing time as the website. Probably the feature I am missing the most in the app is the multiple time entries function. I think it could also be redesigned to be more "app like." As it is, its basically just the website but on your desktop. I don't think the app needs to perform all of the same functions as the website, maybe it could be streamlined specifically for the purposes of billing time and the rest of the features are website only.

The most efficient legal software management app out there. I highly recommend all firms in the industry to use this to stay organized and on top of cases/matters. Everything seems to be super automated and the app just does it for you. It is very much an all-in-one solution. It runs very smoothly and the support team is always there to help you along the way if I have any questions.

PracticePanther has made it so easy for our firm to easily manage contacts, matters, client communication, and especially our billing and invoicing. We're currently a small firm but having been growing pretty rapidly and PracticePanther has facilitated a lot of that growth. Our clients love it, and our paralegals have been able to learn the system so quickly.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. I was forced to log in remotely to my server to access my clients information on the go until I started using PracticePanther. I can easily enter new clients, access my financials, send documents and track my AR from the app — GAMECHANGER!! I recommend this app to anyone who needs to manage their clients but is not glued to their office/ desk

The Practice Panther team has stepped up their game! Their updated app is more responsive and functional than their previous editions. The app is great for managing our cases while I’m running between appointments. I look forward to putting this to better use when I travel with my family this coming year!

This app has come a long way since its beginnings. Much easier to use and more helpful features. Overall, I just love being able to access all my case data no matter where I am.

If you need to use this to bill your time (and most attorneys do, of course), you will hate it. They clearly rushed this thing out without testing it with actual attorneys. I’ve used ancient timekeeping software that was light years ahead of this in terms of usability. There are lots of other features, but a timekeeping program that doesn’t work well to keep time is like a car with all the bells and whistles but no engine.

After trying out a few other practice management offerings we are definitely sticking with Practice Panther. Great functionality, support, embedded payments, etc.

Really? The entire app is just a WebView? Come on, whatever app developer PracticePanther hired should do better than the absolute bare minimum. I get the exact same functionality just logging on using Safari. At least add something useful, like receiving a notification whenever a message is received.

Mobile App. provides the ability to access and maintain all my client accounts while I'm on the go as seamlessly as if I were sitting at the office.

I’ve used a few different case management programs and I really like Practice Panther. Great integration. Very clean and user friendly.

We have been using Practice Panther for a year and it is continuing to delete data. We have tried to call customer support with no answer and have sent numerous emails. The product would be beneficial to use if the customer support was not so horrible.

Where do I begin with these guys?! They’re just absolute rock-stars. It’s time someone stepped up to make an all in one friendly software that puts everyone else to shame. I was a user of two other companies that became clunky, stale, and never updated their software, until I met the panther team at an aba show in Chicago. I was immediately blown away by the number of updates they were pumping out week over week, and I was hopeful yet skeptical, waiting for it to stop…but it never did. Fast forward almost 8 months later and theyre still on a roll. I tried investing but looks like I made it too late. You guys are awesome, im a fan for life, keep on the same path and you will continue to be very successful. All the best.

This is the worst time tracking software I’ve ever used. Constantly dealing with lost time entries when started through the timers in the app. The app looks like it was developed by an eighth grader. In 2013. The website constantly freezes and doesn’t save changes and updates

Will not sync calendar with Microsoft Exchange. Their tech team has been working on fixing this issue for WEEKS! They have a great concept, however, their software is not ready for primetime yet. Going back to FileMaker.

After this latest update the app is completely broken. I can’t click on invoices, open up documents coming from lawyer. I can’t anything with it

Most functions using the drop-down menu are unresponsive on my phone.

This software has great potential, but it seems they have tried to do too much, too quickly. I moved over from Daylite because of Daylite’s lack of a built-in timer for billable hour work. PracticePanther promises they can import important data from your previous case management software, but they do not follow through very well. Most of my tasks and notes were not brought over, and many of them were mislabeled. I have had to spend over $1000 on freelance workers fixing PracticePanther’s problems since they “completed” my import. I have only been using the software for about 3 weeks. Now the sales guy who promised me that he would always return my emails promptly and address my concerns swiftly is not replying to me anymore. Additionally, I have sent them a file that I had to spend hours configuring myself for them to upload. It has now been over 12 hours since I sent the file, and it has not been uploaded. Their techs are not answering my texts either. I am so very disappointed in this company and app. I have now wasted two weeks trying to get this awful, buggy, incomplete software up and running at my office, and I will now have to switch back to Daylite. I can’t keep burning through thousands of dollars of billable time trying to work around all the problems with PracticePanther. Oh, last tidbit. The calendar syncing that is promised to work with Google calendar just randomly stops working. I missed an appointment yesterday because their calendar sync stopped working. My advice: go with Daylite

Finally a case management app that works!! I can’t begin to vent on how poor some of the other apps were designed. It’s like, they’re designed by people who aren’t lawyers, or don’t use smartphones! They all had so many bugs and I kept having to download new updates every month. Who has time for that?! Ok, now that I’m done venting, I can actually admit this app works pretty well. Supposedly I never have to update, but I’m skeptical and will still see about that. Seems to have all the features they promised. Still testing, but so far, so good!

It’s a very nice iOS version of their site which looks and functions the exact same way as we’re already used to, which makes us not have to learn how to use another program – always a plus. Wish I could’ve seen the client portal in this version, but they said it would be coming in the next two weeks, so for that reason, I still give it 5 stars.

This app is by far THE BEST. I save so much time with it and literally cannot run my firm without it. Absolutely love it and RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE! You guys rock!!

Excellent software and support, and finally an iPhone app!! Havent tested it on my ipad yet but I was told it works just as well.
