I’ve been using the Ramp Card app for a while now, and I absolutely love it! The email reminders to upload receipts are incredibly convenient and make it so easy to track my expenses. It feels like no transaction is ever missed, which gives me peace of mind. The streamlined process makes it easier for field employees to take initiative on tracking expenses. Ramp is simple to use and efficient that’s why I would highly recommend this app for businesses. I am currently working in construction out in the field. When I worked in the office I would’ve loved to have this app for our field employees.
This app is fantastic! I love the UI and the autoforwarding of reimbursements is such a handy function so I never have to manually add receipt details anymore! It is a bit hard to find I initially used the receipts@ramp email but that wouldn’t work so I had to dig and find the correct reimbursement@ramp email so if I had one criticism I would say to make the difference of those emails more highlighted.
As a small business owner, I can’t say more good things about Ramp and how it has made my life so much easier! I love it and recommend it to everyone I know. HOWEVER, I would at least like to be able to upload, review, and approve Vendor Bills without having to use my laptop or safari on my iPhone or iPad. The mobile browser experience is terrible. In order to access Bill Pay on mobile safari, you have to put your phone in landscape orientation. Once you find what you’re looking for, you have to double tap everything to access it.
Expense reports used to be painful chore, and quite frankly, things were missed or forgotten when only submitting say monthly. Ramp makes it seamless and easy ( right on your phone) to save and report or immediately report, with direct deposit within days! Hours of time saving for issuer and approver, so many clicks! Auto reminders too, will never miss another expense!
Use ramp at my job and I love how easy the app makes everything! Sooo much better than emailing receipts to finance! I tend to lose them but with ramp I can submit them right away, categorise it properly and I’m done! Only suggestion would be to have the ability to approve transactions on the app as well instead of only online.
Using this as a part of our company’s expensing system. Bugs out on you when you try to attach a receipt and gave a lot of double counting issues when invoices were addressed through this app. The app and their browser application are not able to support customer in enforcing the rules set by our admin- ie., needing to upload a receipt for each transaction, invoice integration to other platforms etc.,. Customer service is below average. Great software in theory but bad execution.
Finally!! Ramp has a mobile app, and it makes submitting reimbursements and checking my cards/transactions so easy. I’ve added everything I need to Apple wallet—so easy to use on the go. The UX is slick, and dark mode is just perfect. Really looking forward to seeing what the team builds next :)
When you run both a business and a life from your mobile device - Ramp desires to force an iOS 16 or higher, just because. I’ll have to shop around as our iPhones 13 Pros for all our fleet and office are not allowed [per internal policy] to update the stock operating versions as to prolong native life of device experience. All of our employees have elected to carry company sponsored devices…. this is catastrophic. Shall be using good old receipt and email captures until we find a new cards vendor and costing system!
It’s awesome that Ramp finally made an App! Simplifies the process immensely when you’re on the go. A few things it would be great to add to the app: (1) when your internet isn’t great / you’re moving too quickly, I think the app can lose the receipt you upload. It would be great if it saved all recently taken images and allows you to link to a purchase later if it isn’t able to connect to the internet and link it right away. (2) in the web version, you can mark team meals and who ate. It would be great if you could do that on the mobile version too so you don’t have to login on web and do it later.
I can't approve or upload receipts for my executive director using the app, even though I'm an approved admin. Makes the app pretty useless, and it's just extra steps and waste of storage space to take a picture of a receipt on my phone, email it to myself, download it to my computer just to go to yet another extra platform and upload it. Wish my company still just submitted receipts to finance - what a mess of a process. Let's automate things and add ten extra steps!
Just used for first time, on my iPad, which runs it as an iPhone portrait screen size. It worked. Was able to upload a PDF of an invoice for the transaction that i had downloaded from browser to file sharing app i use. But, would be really nice to have iPad version that works in both portrait and landscape mode for those who use an iPad in a case with a keypad. Thanks!
This tool is too smart, removing every annoying manual component of expense reports possible. Just finished a trip to Mexico City and honestly had a good time submitting expenses and reimbursements because the experience was so smooth!
As others have said, login is broken. This is when using the latest version - 0.63.0 at the time of this writing. I’m not trying to use OAuth, either, just the normal login. It’s completely broken which makes the app completely useless. Literally impossible to log in on the app. It has been broken for at least a week, which means it was broken in whatever the previous version of this app was and still hasn’t been fixed.
Really disappointing how many times Ramp misses the mark for basic functionality. I find myself doing something basic in Ramp so many times throughout the month, it’s incredibly frustrating. Think it would carry over the same category you set for the same recurring charge from last month? Nope! Please log in and set the same category for the same charge from last month. Forwarded your email receipt a few minutes too soon to Ramp? Whoops - they’ll just ignore it and send you a reminder later that you they haven't gotten it from you yet. For something that’s supposed to save us time, I spend an awful lot of time doing dumb things in Ramp that I shouldn’t ever have to do in the first place.
Finally an expense card and app that is easy to use as a territory sales manager. I have used several other apps and this is by far the most user friendly I have experienced
Beware - Ramp has major issues in being able to get the total from receipts. I used to use Expensify and it was seamless in getting the correct amounts from receipts. Ramp has had major issues in my first time using it, mainly it can’t calculate the correct totals even though receipts are clear. 5/9 of my receipts on my recent trip were incorrect and I had to manually update it. Make sure to double check the receipts!
The Ramp app is great for the regular user. Capturing reciepts, coding expenses, and submitting expense reports are a breeze. The only thing that would make it better would be for the bill pay function to make it's way in to the app.
Great app however when you use it on the iPad the keypad is very smallAnd it covers where I need to write which is not good because if I get something wrong I had to go back and change it right away so that’s all I have to say
For a salesperson to manage daily activity for mileage is ridiculous Like other expense cards - AMEX we should be allowed to put a monthly or weekly total mileage and get reimbursed!!!!
As I’m trying to complete a receipt entry, you pop up the “Do You Like Ramp?” Stars rating which I cannot respond to with the keyboard up AND I cannot get rid of with the keyboard up!! So the very conveniences that I totally appreciate about Ramp are IMPOSSIBLE to take advantage of!!! I was going to give you 5 stars for your great anticipatory design and ease of use, but that boner flaw turned five into one.
But still far away from being great. Confusing UI with receipts/expenses/reimbursements. Sometimes it OCRs, other times it doesn’t. Expense reports still take forever!
Too Many freaking requests to rate the App. I will give 1 Star every time this icon comes up. Literally after every expense entry it comes up. STOP! Also, no way to allocate expenses to particular company offices set up as Ramp Locations. That needs fixed. My ramp doesn’t connect to all accounts
I like the idea of taking a picture or receipts right away to help keep track of them. Great idea, but this stupid app/company can’t actually attach receipts that are sent in. And then when they do they will text you at 4am, wake you up and tell you to send in another picture.
The new update doesn’t seem to be working. Didn’t know how else to report it. It keeps showing my cards as failed to load. I have to force close the app and then reopen. Even with Face ID it continues to ask me to login. Very frustrating
It’s a great app when it works. Sometimes it won’t let me input a memo so I have to use the app for pictures and then the website for the memo which is frustrating.
I literally just started using the app. I have scanned in three receipts, and I’ve been asked for a review on each one. You are getting one star because that is annoying. Wait until I’ve used it to ask.
I input maybe 5 or 6 charges and four of them have dropped parts of the memo I’ve put in, so I end up having to get notified that they are missing info that I put in once already.
