The app is always shutting down and saying to many devices when my device is the only one playing at the time. Wish they would fix this. Also the playing now will freeze and nit update for hours.
This app has a lot of shows I love; love and miss those old reality/caught on tape/true crime type shows and one-off or few-off TV specials that were produced in the mid/late 90s and the early/mid 2000s. Thing is, the only way to sign in is with your cable/Internet provider and worse, Xfinity doesn't even work with it even though it's on the list. My Xfinity, as far as Internet service goes (that's the only service we have through it) is the highest tier you can get without upgrading to a business account; says so when the error message pops up after I select "Xfinity" in the provider list when trying to sign in. You'd think they would've thought to include other ways of signing in/creating an account with them; things like signing in with your Apple ID, your Google ID, your Facebook page etc. Since most people stream things nowadays as opposed to paying for cable, that's definitely one way the app can be improved; get with the times! I was especially excited when I found out "World's Most Amazing Videos" was available for streaming on this app; always hoped that one especially would be made available for streaming somewhere, some day as it's one of my absolute favorites in that reality/caught on tape category of shows/specials along with "Real TV".
I emailed support and told him it's nearly impossible to watch even a 1 hour show, so approximately 42-46 minutes of actual video, due to the too many device error. [On a side note, error says REACHED, NOT exceeded, maximum devices which clearly should not terminate active programming.] Tonight, 1st one popped up 12 SECONDS AFTER starting the show. Restarted show & received same error 3 additional times in less than 15 minutes. The support person at Reelz I communicated with via email said the too many debice error is on the TV provider side of things as the provider gives/establishes an "entitlement" with each sign in & I do not remember the rest. However, I sincerely doubt AT&T DirecTV customers are the ONLY people encountering this error. I could EASILY be wrong & have no problem admitting. That said, I surmise a lot of us would appreciate seeing the data on tv provider used + people receiving too many devices error. Error analysis data does not require customer names.
There’s a really annoying bug with the app running on fire tv that’s been an issue for weeks now. Clicking your provider for signing in results in a white page and text in the top left saying ‘OttSsoCompanionApp’. Please fix this.
It was quick and easy to get set up. But no matter what you try to watch “Looks like something went wrong!” Every time no matter what show, or connection type.
I was excited to get this appAnd it doesn’t work. It has me sign in with my TV provider which is AT&T U-verse. I have reelz with AT&T U-verse And I watch on patrol live every Friday and Saturday night on it on my TV but cannot get it to work on the app. So disappointed
I love Reelz content but so frustrated with this app I'm starting to really hate it. Same error message as everyone else and I have Optimum. Are they reading any of the reviews? It would seem ez to fix. Frustrated and extremely annoyed!
I have to say I absolutely love your channel, but some work needs to go in this app with updating the shows adding some more newer ones and huge priority making an app for Apple TV! Do you have an app on fire TV I really don’t understand why you don’t have one on Apple TV when Apple TV is bigger than fire TV. That is very disappointing. Please make an app for Apple TV!
So I downloaded Reelz even though the reviews were horrible. First, let me say that I had no problems setting my cable provider. On the home screen is said “Sign In” I clicked on it and it brought up the different service providers. I was prepared to put my sign in credentials for my service provider but it didn’t ask and logged me in automatically. Plus one. I chose a show and started it. I had sound. Plus two. As I watched the show I did get the “Oops, Something went wrong” pop-up, BUT, I also was getting a ton of notifications on my phone for a coming thunderstorm so I thought maybe that’s what messed with the memory of the show I was watching on the Reelz app. All I did was find and click the episode again and it took me right back to where it left off. Again, later in the episode it got the “Oops” message again and I repeated the same thing I mentioned before. Same scenario, a lot of notifications were popping up during the show. I don’t know if that’s the reason or not but it never happened when the notifications were quiet. So 2 “Oops” pop-ups on an hour show. Not the end of the world. Since I got the pop-ups I took away 2 stars and rated it 3 stars. The app is not that bad but could use some improvements and it was worth downloading to watch shows I may have missed that aren’t on my OnDemand programming. Hopefully Reelz will continue to improve the app so it has a flawless experience.
I love watching Reelz, some of my favorite shows and I was ecstatic to see they had an app where I could watch my favorite shows whenever I wanted. I immediately downloaded it but I constantly get a message that says” Something went wrong. Maximum amount of devices reached”. I only have Reelz downloaded on my iPad, I don’t have it downloaded on my phone or anything else. Its pretty annoying having to constantly close out and open it back up constantly just to watch a show
Hi I love your program but your app is not working on Fire tv. Do you know when it will be fixed. It does not show the green logo and when you open the app on Fire tv. The logo is black and it just gets stuck on the page. Is there a way to update your app on Fire tv? Thank you
REELZ NOW has been continuously shutting down for months! It is so aggravating! During the first quarter of 2020, all was working well...maybe a shutdown once in a while. Currently, I select the App, it opens for a split second, then immediately closes. Now, I have seen advertisements on TV (various providers) for the REELZ and REELZ NOW channels/apps, upcoming promotions for shows. I hope this ‘shutdown’ almost immediately gets fixed or there will be many more negative reviews. I would have rated it a lot higher (4 Stars) earlier this year (2020). Due to the fact is was working the majority of times used! MY CURRENT RATING For This App Is: 1 Star, because it is not working at all, on many devices (iPhone, Samsung Pad, Rouku)...a flash of an app, on the screen is ‘not working’ Please fix this issue soon.
I love to read biographies, & as an Italian American was always interested in reading & watching about the mafia. I use this app frequently & with no issues when remotely viewing this channel. Thanks for producing interesting content
I love reelz so I was super excited to see they have an app. However, this never seems to be updated with new episodes of the various shows. Example: Autopsy final hours of... these are the same episodes for almost a year now. I just saw the Lucille Ball episode on tv. I wanted to rewatch it but it has never been posted. This needs to be worked on PLEASE

I love the programming but sadly it just abruptly shuts down while you’re really into a program ☹️. I sincerely hope they fix this because the shows are really great.
I love that I can watch great shows like On Patrol… when I can get through the login process. Frequently it doesn’t load past the front screen, making it so I can’t actually watch my shows. Or I sign in, but instead of putting my password in I’m back at the main screen. Very frustrating 😡 I would pay for a subscription if it meant a reliable app
I love REELZ and so glad I have a way to watch. However when it calls me to sign in everyday no providers are listed. So I have to uninstall and reinstall the app everyday in order to sign in and watch. Pretty please fix
I just downloaded the app to watch some of my favorite shows. I was too excited until I get to the sign in screen. That step was confusing but after I selected my service provider, it allowed me to actually play the video but with no sound. Tried to close the app in the background and opened back but it did not work. Too disappointed.
This is the what pops on my screen every 5-10 min. disrupting what I’m watching. I thought it was just me but it seems as though others are having the same issue. Pretty frustrating. Also I have only had the app for about a week and every time I reboot the app it makes me sign in each and every time.
You channel makes it sound like the people who like guns and shooting them like we are the enemy, yes their are wackos out there who are dam animals and need to be locked up, but turn it around and make it sound like we only like the 2nd amendment in the constitution, that is simply not right, -ps This all started with the Clinton administration, your media channel said it thanks for the info
Everyone’s telling you that it keeps shutting down and clicking out of the app and you’re doing nothing. Discontinue it if you’re not going to keep it up. I mean the whole point is for people to watch correct? I’m instructed to select my cable provider, but there’s nothing to select from. It’s just a blank page.
This app has major issues it keeps stoping and saying “looks like something went wrong” the limit of maximum number of devices has been reached. And I’m the only one on it!
This app would be great if they had more than one television provider. I mean HELLO! I have DIRECTV & they are a huge satellite tv provider. Unless you have xfinity, you're pretty much out of luck. The only logical reason I can think of as to why this is an issue is because of a mistake by the developer. Because this is something that presents a huge problem for viewing purposes. PLEASE FIX THIS!
When we travel we like being able to login and watch Reelz! Unfortunately your app isn’t available on our roku that we carry with us which means we can only watch on our tablet which isn’t the same. Please make a roku app so we can enjoy our favorite channel on the go on a regular television!
Just like the previous review said, this crashes every time you try and watch something. It was updated two weeks ago and apparently that hasn’t been fixed. As soon as you find something to watch, click “play” the app shuts completely down
Horrible update... I cannot even open it. Used to watch episodes out of this application daily. I do not even open it anymore. I have contacted REELZ and never heard back. I have deleted and reinstalled and still nothing. Hoping they fix it soon.
Had to login using my dish network login, which I have used countless times for other channels. Every time I entered my user and password and hit enter, it took me to the login page again. My dish login still works when I login to Dish so I’m not doing anything wrong. Can’t spend anymore time trying!!!!
I watched a few episodes of Autopsy when I first downloaded it. Then, a few hours later I came back to check out more episodes and it wouldn’t let me sign in because there’s no TV provider to scroll to ... and to add even more insult, this app ain’t available on Apple TV 🙄
The app constantly refuses to stop buffering/loading when first opened. If you do manage to get the app to fully load then the live stream constantly goes out/disconnects and you have to relaunch the app.
I had no problems downloading the app and signing on with my provider. When I started watching a show there was no sound. Verified with another app my sound worked. Uninstalled and reinstalled same thing..no sound. Disappointed!
Like the MANY other reviews have said-the app is literally unusable. On iPhone, you cannot select your cable provider in order to watch anything and, on iPad, the app crashes the second you select a show. Please fix this!
