This is pretty slick for easy stuff like volume and channels… has a button for source but cannot do anything after that. Wish it had the usual arrows and “enter/ok” button to select things. But overall it gets most things done when we cannot find our actual remote!
Almost a YEAR later and still no update with a fix (despite a response from the developer stating they were aware of the problem)! Completely unacceptable. I purchased the lifetime option of your product “Remote Vizio” and it works beautifully. However, I updated to a newer iPad and after reinstalling the app, it wont recognize that I have the full unlocked version. I tried to re-purchase the app (because i liked it that much) and it states that its already been purchased and asks if i would like to get it again for free. After saying yes it states that my purchase was successful but i do not have the full functionality. Multiple emails and support requests to the admins for this app and no response. I guess they got their money and dont care anymore. I would easily change this to a 5 star rating if they would fix this issue on their side.
I originally got this app because I lost the TV remote I tried searching it up and this popped up however it looks real it is not. I looked at the first review and it was a good one and then after I got it I looked at the rest and they were horrible and then I searched this up again and a new app popped up. This app was created by the Real Vizio team this app was not it is only trying to steal your information. They can find your information off of your TV model number and it says on it once you open the app can't find your TV email us your model number I would not recommend this app unless you want your information stolen.
I purchased the lifetime premium pass for 15 dollars so I could have access to the full remote. Features such as the touch pad (being able to use arrow keys up, down, left, right arrows) and editing brightness, contrast, etc. is locked behind a paywall. I wasn't even too mad about that so I purchased it bc it's a one time payment. Except it still won't give me access, I tried to repurchase it and it says I already have purchased it. But everytime I try to use the touchpad or click the menu button a pop up opens asking if I want to buy the premium pass. I want my money back, don't download this app.
Somehow I frequently lose the remote, so I spend a lot of time looking for it, but not anymore. I always have my phone at my side and can easily use it as a remote. Works perfectly, and makes me feel like a tech geek. Only wish I could change channel apps too, but still have to use tv remote for that.
Every time I try to press a button this app pops up and I don’t wanna do this ad but it pops up anyway and I don’t like it so if you could please fix that above us and I will give this next time the ad ask me how to what this how many stars does this happens I will put five stars if you just please change Zack and for my records request for WO crest and I would just really like it if you would fix dad about the app. Thank you for your time and service.
This app is responsive, user-friendly, and well-designed. I like it. My one complaint, and the only reason I don’t give five stars, is the video ads. I understand that free apps need some way to generate revenue, and I have no issue with ads as long as they don’t take up my time. In an age of autoplay, to have to wait at least ten seconds just to click a button is unreasonable. Plus, I’m much less likely to click ads if I have to wait through them. I’m a prideful idiot. Overall, this app is almost as good as a real remote. Four thumbs up.
I loved this app and it had amazing reviews when I downloaded it. All of a sudden it required me to pay for the app to use it and so I did because I had great success with it but then it stopped working. I know it’s connected to my tv because I can press menu and control the volume but that’s it. I’m very disappointed. Judging by the recent reviews it looks like this app has gone down hill. What a shame. I emailed the company asking them for help since I’ve paid for the app now I deserve a working remote.
The Vizio TV is literally the worst electronic device I have ever owned. This app is awesome compared to the Vizio app, which is awful, and the actual remote which stops working for a few weeks at a time. I will never buy another Sony product.
I’ve tried all the troubleshooting techniques, turning one or both devices off and back on, airplane mode my phone and reconnecting to wifi, uninstalling app and reinstalling, even restarting my modem just in case the wifi itself was inconsistent. I went through a checklist I found online, I’m sure I’m missing one or two things I’ve done trying to make this thing work, but sadly, it doesn’t.
This app works, but it’s not good at knowing the difference between 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands. I had to move my M558-G1 to 2.4Ghz because thats the band my mobile devices are on. Only my tv is on the 5Ghz. This was never an issue with Vizio’s app. I’d still be using the Smartcast app if it was universal.
None of the d pad functions work unless you purchase the upgrade for $3.99 after the purchase it unlocks all the functions. Only to find out that the d pad doesn’t control the smart functions. It will work for the menu but for the smart cast apps the d pad doesn’t work at all. Uninstall and request money back. Don’t waste your time.
What an awful business model. I had to pay 3.99 to get the premium service and tried to test it and see if it worked first but literally every button and function is part of the premium service. This app didn’t work whatsoever with my Vizio tv and I want my money back. Garbage. Would be zero stars if I could.

All the replacement digital remote controller apps are pretty risky. The ones Ive had are life savers at first. Quick fix and great, until the entire TV stops working. Thats why i say avoid. Not even close to worth it... And unless youve lost ur remote and u desperately need a controller ...DONT do it.
Worked fine for the times you don’t want to search around for the remote. Then suddenly you lose almost all functions unless you pay for it. After reading further reviews I’d rather not waste the money.
I paid for the lifetime subscription for this remote to get access to all features, and not only did it take like a week to process the payment, but I still cannot access all features. Sent an email demanding a refund unless they give me all the features, and they have not replied
Paid $15 to get the upgraded features for this remote. Got a new phone a month ago and the purchase didn’t carry over. Sent an email to support about it a month ago, still no response. When clicking the “restore purchase” button, it doesn’t do anything. Pretty frustrating
Paid the 15$ for the lifetime sub. But when I try to use the app it wants me to pay 15$. I tried restoring purchases, deleting and downloading, updating iPhone then did steps 1 and 2 and nothing. Is this app a scam? I’ve called Apple customer care and they can’t fix it either. Are you folks legitimate?
Everything worked at first, with the exception of the keypad (which may not be compatible with my tv). However, the mouse pad just stopped working. I deleted the app and downloaded it again. Still doesn’t work.
Paid for this and it is the worst app I’ve ever purchased! Very delayed and you have to select options multiple times. Then it catches up and enters your selection multiple times. It takes longer to select and get your option playing than to watch the entire movie!
Paid for Lifetime Premium. Still gives pop up to buy every time. Restored purchases. Deleted and reinstalled. Restarted the phone etc etc etc. sent feedback through the app. No response months later. Requesting a refund from Apple 🤞🏻
When I first had this app is had all the buttons of the actual remote and it was free. Now I have to pay to get the remote that has the arrows so I can actually use the remote to navigate any other apps on the tv. Not the real remote
It is so bad I would rather stand up and walk to the television and press buttons there like the old days then use this app. There isn’t any button that is useful or an ok button?!?! How am I supposed to use this then? You have to pay for anything remotely useful.
At first it was a great app. Now you get so many apps that pop up and you can’t exit them! For example I was watching a show and a part came on I needed to fast forward before my son looked up and nope not possible due to pop ups... I had to block his view with a pillow.
I made the mistake of purchasing this remote and then looking up other user experiences. Most people the remote does not work and the developer is difficult to get in touch with, and is notorious for not responding or refunding the cost.
Seems to be outdated. I paid $15 for lifetime and it will not allow me to use the features. It’s totally useless. It just keeps prompting me to purchase the same lifetime access and doesn’t allow any use. Assuming it’s a spam
Every since I downloaded this app, My tv just does whatever it wants. Turning on and off, volume at full blast, channels change randomly. And now my tv is starting to smoke. Thanks Vizio, flames are getting bigger, gotta go!
I can’t even get it to go to the both screens on my phone. Every time I try to switch back and forth, it comes up wanting me to buy the premium. I already purchased it and I still can’t use it!
I can’t use the app! I haven’t needed to use the app in quite awhile. I was asked to enter my password; which I entered and it continued to be wrong. There is no way to recover the password or change your password.
I haven’t used an App this bad. Can’t compare it to any other app. If the DirecTV Customer service experience was turned into a remote control app, that’s the closest comparison. It’s like having your car impounded, but in the form of a remote app.
I can not believe Vizio charges for a smart phone remote app for a television I already spent hundreds of dollars for. There are already sooooooo many things I dislike about my Vizio; this is just one more.

I lost my remote and I PAID for this app and it doesn’t work. I cannot do anything on this remote except for go to menu and Calibration settings and volume and on/off. Everything else does not work
