I take Paratransit and it is generally very good. Every once in awhile they are late but overall very good. I use to take the 250 bus route weekly but not so much anymore. This do to not going across El Camino and going back by 24 hr fitnes. It’s hard for me to cross Elcamino and get to the Library, the Central Park and 24 hr fitness. It really stinks they changed this.
Is there a way on your app, especially given COVID19 to report when we feel threatened by other bus riders, either physically or because they aren’t wearing a mask etc? And then have that be communicated to the bus driver of the bus we’re on? I fear trying to engage with bus riders when they are threatening me because I’ve had my life threatened before in this context. I also fear being threatened if I mention something when riders aren’t wearing a mask because of the sociopolitical environment. If I go directly to the bus driver, I also fear being targeted.
Where the heck are the routes? If it’s in this app you must have to be a coder to find because I don’t see it. I rarely ride the bus, but thankful it’s an option. Trying to use after my ride from the airport flaked. Trying to figure how to ride the bus again but can’t even find the routes and connections to take. Pretty much USELESS for people like me that don’t need to create and account and just need the rare ride home at an affordable rate and just need to see the bus stops for me to get home.
Hi there, I like your service and buses. I use it a lot in a week. But the only problem is that you need to wait for 30-40 minutes a bus. If you can do it 15 minutes waiting time for another bus, it will be perfect. Think about that please. Except the bus time everything is perfect! Thanks for your response and service!
With few exceptions there are a few bad drivers left that should have been fired years ago but the rest of them are good with a few deserving a raise!! However there are a few bus routes that have been screwed over by the changes to those routes especially the 292 bus route!! Otherwise it is a good bus system!
This app is long overdue for an update. Cant even buy tickets anymore. Had to use cash few days back due to when trying to purchase tickets it says payment error. Imputed my other card and still the same. Later delete and reinstall and still the same. So don’t know if this a server issue or the app is reaching its point on optimization issues because it’s last update was years ago.
I’m am thankful for that California has such great transportation services! I’m 73 this year, I would not know how to get to Dialysis, doctors appointments and even shopping groceries! , with out Rediride. This system has kept me being mobile and a great support to live to 100 lol.
So from a one off experience, you can find the ticket you want. This is absolute crucial and worked for me. But for some reason you need to create an account. Other local transit system apps don't need signup. Also, my visa wasn't accepted (yes, it's absolutely a current card) and my billing address couldn't fit in the text field (tho I'm guessing it didn't matter cause my ticket processed with an incomplete address). And no Apple Pay option to pay either. All that aside, I found it doable to buy a ticket which is the end goal.
I ride with Reddi-wheels to go to all the places I need like market, doctor, dentist, and to be able to have some what of a social life to meet people. Without Reddi-wheels I would not be able to go to any of these activities.
I just got back to the Bay Area after some time away, only to find that the once super useful Sam trans app is less than useless. The live bus updates were SO important, not to mention the online timetables don’t list every stop, only the major ones. I know I’m not alone in saying that this feature is important to my daily life. Please bring it back.
Why would locating your bus be buried so deep into the app, please improve your customer experience and usefulness of the app with a find my bus quick link from home page using bus number and direction of travel. Otherwise the app is pretty useless and cumbersome to use. Not very helpful
Does not help you looking for bus times, or locations or anything easy to look for, look at the bart app when it loads it looks for closest station and gives you all the next trains and times without needed to log in or purchase tickets or needing to enter an address, do some research and fix the issues with the app
I live this app, but, it has one major issue that needs to be fixed. When planning a trip, I should be able to add a trip plan to my calendar without having to login to google or yahoo. Please fix it... then you’ll have the best replacement for the old 511 SF Bay Area app that died several years ago!
The amount of times the app will refuse to properly process my purchase has been higher than the amount of times it’s worked successfully. Please fix this. It genuinely makes me not want to use the app, or SamTrans as a whole.
After the last update the timetables and all the helpful routes disappeared. Instead link has been added ...why...i can Google the route i need, why do i need to keep all this space taken from this useless app on my phone?
I don’t know how but I was double charged and given two tickets when I pressed the ‘buy now’ button. No way to message customer service on the app, no recourse at all.
The new version of the app only allows you to purchase tickets. You can no longer view bus departures or use the trip planner, so it’s basically useless.
That’s the only feature I use and like, other features served me no purpose. The last update made this app pretty much useless to me. Its time for me to delete this app.
So everybody has clipper card now a day why even made this app? Its freaking useless. So I buy the fare ticket now what? I cannot even see the bus route I am taking and where is the schedule? This is a useless app and whoever designed this is a dumbass…. check MUNI app at least it assist me to commute in SF area….
