It started off ok, but it does follow bugs that are close(so annoying), which causes a lot of alerts to go off and doesn’t catch a person all the time in frame. As mentioned by someone else, no alerts show up on your iPhone screen. You only get them if you open the app and are looking. And too many security risk as of lately, my WiFi service blocked them 6x this week alone. Had to pause WiFi connection to camera.( never had issues before I got this camera). I was hopeful, but now i am very discouraged .
Won’t send notification unless you have the app open. Won’t show me past events more the 24 hours ago, even though I have 53% free space on the SD card. Tried having it set up with scheduled recording and no scheduling, but still can’t see any activity more then 24 hours ago. My light does t work right if I have it set to come on with motion. It flickers on and off randomly. Works best if I just keep the light on at all times. It’s works great when I want to just check in on my house when I’m gone. Keep an eye on the pets. I like that I can move the camera around to see multiple angles and the video quality is pretty decent. I like being able to talk through the device to my kids if need be.
This app is horrible. I am a professional developer and solutions architect. There are several usability issues and settings don’t always take. For instance, the LED light I turned it on and then it wouldn’t turn off for nearly a week. I tried restarting the app and also powering off the light for several minutes. scrolling through videos on the timeline is a joke. The 2X and 3X will miss a person on the front porch in a heartbeat. Notifications on the iPhone never work no matter what settings you try. The only way the alarm goes off is if you’re using the app and the reaction time of the alert is way too late.
The bulbs are decent for the price. They seem to follow every insect, but miss humans walking around - completely. The app lags. It can take several minutes for the “events” pictures to load. If you have an iphone - don’t expect any alerts, no matter how you adjust your settings. If you live somewhere with a lot of insects flying around, this might be a good thing.
Got two because of problems of my neighbors, it works but it does moves on its own which it’s okay I just wish it stayed in one area. I’m not sure if it’s actually recording because I got 2 128gb memory cards and I don’t know how to see if it’s recording maybe I have to put the memory card in my laptop and see if it did but I will update when I get the chance.
Wish there was a motion alert while not in the app! I only receive motion notifications while I’m currently in the app. I’m not sure if this is just for iPhones or not but definitely defeats the main purpose of the camera…
Once I figured out that I needed to fully read the instructions were simple and clear. It took only moments after I figured out that the sight bulb was smarter Than me. At 70 years old I’m the furthest thing from a techno geek . I got it up and running in no time THANK YOU SIGHT BULB! Feeling safe in my home! Barbara in Kansas
It took some work to get it set up. Definitely not “plug & play.” Nothing intuitive about the setup. Patience is required. Still working on getting all the settings figured out, but definitely works as advertised. Would have given 5 stars if easier to use.
The app is useless with regards to notifications. As others have reported, you will only get notifications while you have the app open. Also, while watching live, the feed will freeze. This is something purchased a temporary safety camera but would not recommend it.
The app doesn’t let you read all of the settings. When using an iPhone. And it isn’t alerting me via the phone when motion is detected. The tracking is questionable at close distance.
I bought this bulb for my garage which gets little use but I can never get this app to work. It’s always offline recording nothing. I have tried on multiple occasions to reset but it’s always offline even though the Wi-Fi router is less than 10 feet away. A waste of money to bad time has past and I am unable to return.
This app is clumsy to use and doesn’t adequately explain the various settings. But the absolutely worst part is it let’s you view only the current day’s captured videos, not those from previous days. (I took the camera down and reviewed the SD card on my PC - the videos the app won’t let me view are still on the card.)
This camera need a 2.5Ghz and my home internet is a 5 Ghz. So customer service told me to call my internet service to downgrade to a 2.5 so I can have the camera to work. They need to make it as simple as all the other WiFi camera
Notifications don't work on iPhone. Tried to download an event and it told me i needed cloud service, yet doesn't offer cloud service in app! Please fix bugs and update your app!
only one person can log onto an account, this app wont allow the rest of my family members log in without signing me out. terrible, im returning the camera.
