Not enough space to add photos. Six for public gallery and six for private gallery! Also, when you ask to be put in the main gallery, Dennis thinks that if you are under 40 you are an admirer and if you are over 40 you are a daddy! This is wrong. There is no age limit to being an admirer or a daddy! This arbitrary decision is offensive and should be deep-sided! I was also told a photo of me in a jockstrap was cross dressing!!!??? Lol!!! Another gripe! Members fill their galleries up with nonsense photos of their dogs, pets, etc! This practice should be banned! The reasons I stopped supporting the site for about five years!
SD is a minimal site with many nice features and this app mirrors the site very well. I can send a message in here and it shows up immediately on the site which means it’s synced nicely. Guys complain about lack of filters; you can filter via the search screen, by location, distance, online status, age range and more. It is only for messaging; would be nice to access their profile. But MY biggest failing is that I don’t visit the site every day and wind up not seeing messages til days later. This app will help with that. Thanks Dennis, please do consider adding profile access to this app.
But not as good as the web site. I have use SD for years but just became a member. I do not regret spending a small amount of money for a full year subscription. I love the cam and chat and the way the site let you know when someone is interested in you. Yes it is fo older men. And that’s the point. We all understand what we want. I will renew next year for sure.
I’ve been on SD on and off for 20 years and there’s been no improvements in all that time. No updates to keep it current. (Seems like some of the same profiles I’ve seen since first finding it are still there long after they went dormant.) I was hopeful the app would drive change, but it’s just a reflection of the same crappy website. GIGO, I guess. You’re better off with GROWLr. This is just a relic in app form.
Great site for older men to meet younger men- place to write messages about the man like mail and cell etc likes wishes . Lots of men all over the world - some coming to your area on vacation. I’ve been a member for many years and have met terrific guys for dates for sex. And some have remained friends for years.
I was stealthed by someone I met here. Even though reported it and I wrote about it in my profile Dennis refused to look in my mailbox to read messages from other guys who had the same experience with this rapist... named Shan. Instead he removed me for “talking badly” about another individual on the site. Shan is still on the site presumably still taking off his condom without his partner’s consent. Shame on you Dennis. All you had to do was check my mailbox to corroborate my allegation.
This is a very unsafe site. I had one user threaten me when I asked him, very politely, to not send me messages. The site administration refused to do anything. There is no way I could stop him from accessing my profile or block his access to my photos. The site uses very primitive programming and pictures are only available in low resolution. There is nothing positive that I can say about this app.
I've been a longtime user of the SD website, and love the idea of this app. Needs filters!!! This is the number one feature this site needs. At the very least, the app should duplicate the features of the site, and filters are a key to that. New color scheme. New opening panel - people who aren't familiar with SD don't care about why you built this app, so get rid of the essay at the beginning. Frankly, I don't care either. Then add some new features like some of the other dating apps have, and you'll have a niche winner!
This app is woefully under designed. It functions as if it has simply been ported from a poorly coded website from the 90’s. The limitations imposed serve no beneficial purpose, and do not encourage regular use of the app. Users are only allowed a couple of messages per day, and messages in the inbox can’t be deleted. I could go on and on but it’s really not worth it.
If you were to search for everyone who has signed up, put them in order of distance and printed it out this is what you would have. Everyone is listed whether they are on line or not. Most do not have a photo as there is no policy requiring a public photo. The app always opens up to a letter. The layout is funky. It is like having a couple sheets of paper on your device. Deleted.
Nasty, stinky old men with smelly houses, not a good selection of attractive mature men. Tons of trolls and hackers, not a secure site. I would give it zero stars if I could, I paid while other people don't and want your email site, They hide theirs in their profile. The site needs to get its revenues from advertising instead of fleecing paying members while others are too cheap to pay. Bad site.
Nice to have a mobile app for my favorite site. Would like to see a feature where I could send photos from my camera in a message from the app. Keep up the great work!
I love the regular SilverDaddies website and have been using it for years. But this thing is more than useless, it's just awful. You can't sort by age, you can't sort by anything, you can't see the censored pictures, you basically can't do anything on this app. Please start over and give us something useful!
No one is ever online. You can't see your friends online list. You can't search for anybody. All you can do is respond to messages. You can't see the adult pics. You can't even see profiles extra pics, just their main pic (as long as it's not X rated). In short, more NOTS than HAVES!
No way to search hardly anyone has a picture just a total waste of time.. as always if you are older looking to meet people you aren’t catered to... if your a twink they build a site that does everything you need.. what a waste
Wow this is the year 2022 and the site AND app are so behind with technology. I just downloaded the app and created an account yesterday and in a day or two I’ll be deleting my account. Yes it has something to do with the outdated site AND app but mostly because the email limitations are ridiculous. I’m on a handful of other apps and they don’t restrict email messaging. I understand you need to make money but it’s time to wake up and get into 2022. 🤦🏻
I love the SIlverdaddies website and have been visiting for 10+ years. This app is a good idea but needs so much work; it is extremely primitive compared to other gay social apps and really needs to be torn down and reworked.
No about page, no support or help page, pretty sad in that regard! Can’t even delete mail. There are so many pages of men at zero mile distance I’m sure one of my neighbors is having the biggest party ever...not
