I’ll preface this by saying that this will be a longer review. While I’m unsure if the pay guarantee will ever come into play, the fact that an app like this exists is so huge. Pay by time recently came into my area but there’s one thing it does not include: time spent driving waiting for orders while you’re away from your starting location. I’ve been a dasher off and on since September 2020 and the one thing I’ve always complained about this app directly addresses. People that do this more than just occasionally often have to pick the orders they take because a lot of them just aren’t worth the gas let alone the time. I’m glad I don’t have to do that anymore. It’s huge for my motivation and mental health doing this job not having to decline well over half of orders and/or worrying about making enough to justify. I hope to find a traditional job that treats me well, but this will help me a ton until that happens. As someone with a degree in chemistry, I like data driven projects. I’m glad I gave this a try when I saw it.
Solo is fantastic. What’s more, it’s 11 pm on a Friday night and I had an issue with my screen settings on my iPhone, and these guys were emailing back and forth with me to get it resolved. Additionally, I had taken some time away from driving and when I returned recently I sent a message asking if I could have the trial period again to get me started. They didn’t miss a beat; allowed me the trial period again and also gave me credits so that I could experience the scheduling side as well. Absolutely top notch customer service and ownership of this. I am really beyond satisfied with how they treated me. It’s difficult to find great service these days, these guys go above and beyond. They’re actually your partner on the road because the response is golden if you ever need anything. Shaili and Keith, you guys are truly first class and I wish you nothing but complete success with the app.
Work in Georgia, and loved using the App while it let me. Looks like they are breaking down further regions, so it revoked my access until available in my specific town, but super excited to start using again. They talk about an extra 20 percent when driving, and that is only an average. In some cases I would get 40-50 percent more income just from linking my apps to Solo. I also love the referral program! I would share the is app with any driver I know, but the fact that they give you $15-$20 per driver that links up, is amazing! They also give the driver an incentive as well! Over all great app, great incentives, and love the idea! Keep it up!
I got a free trial of the app & made a few dollars so I decided to subscribe. After using the app twice I got up to do Lyft after guaranteeing like 14 hours and all of a sudden at 3am I can’t log in, the app doesn’t recognize my phone number or email and when I tried to just make another account I got an error message that says city validation failed. I left the app open after I scheduled my day & when I went to the app before I started driving it said I needed to link my account to see real data and so I tried to log in but wasn’t able to use my phone number OR email, so I couldn’t even log in to get help. The app was great & I thought it would be a great help but at 3am when I’m just trying to get my rides done it became an unnecessary headache and frankly I want my money back.
I drive for DoorDash and just started using Solo to try out. I’ve researched so many others. I got the free trial and used it a couple days. It breaks every single thing down for you and tracks everything. It shows how much you’re saving on taxes and how much your estimate is to pay in at any given time. So many perks having this app. I recommend it for any gig driver. It’s cheap. It’s $24 for 3 months. Which is what I’ve currently subscribed to. Or $10 a month. Or $6 a month I believe if you do an entire year. Worth every penny for them to track everything for you.
I wanted to see if this app was actually worth the hype. I drive for Uber and Lyft regularly, and given the pay cuts I was excited to see if this app could actually help boost earnings. Well, can’t see what they offer until you subscribe. So, I did. I figured, $6 is worth checking. So I subscribe. Turns out, I can’t check that info for the $6 subscription. This was not clear to me. Annoyed, I decide I still want to find out. So I pay for the $11 subscription. They charged me for BOTH subscriptions, not the difference, which was not clear at all in the app. To make matters worse, when I actually get to see the information I’m looking for, I realize that this app is a scam, plain and simple. If you ever earn as low as they suggest for the daily earnings, then you’re screwing up so badly I can’t fathom what you’re doing. So now I’m really upset. I uninstall the app immediately and contact apple to request a refund. And I’m told, twice, without any further option, that I cannot refund this purchase. So they screwed me out of TWO subscriptions for a service that I cannot imagine using in my market. If the team that’s doing this shady crap is reading this, you owe me $17 and 3 hours of my time.
This app has truly been the greatest thing I’ve downloaded to help me with my gig work! Normally you would have to work quite a bit to learn certain strategies to make the most money but Solo does the work for you! You can start off like a pro, and make money like a pro right away. Seriously a must have for all gig workers, I’ve made all my friends download it and you should to!! Thanks for the great app, seriously one of the best ideas in a while.
Good for keeping tax info, crap for guarantee hours
Personally, as a dasher, an uber eats driver, and a shopper for instacart, this app keeps all my tax info nice and neat, easy for someone as stupid as me to understand. However, even though the tax part is great, the “guaranteed” pay is just a bunch of lies. I was “guaranteed” at least $56, got $44 for my 3 hours, then told me i didn’t qualify for it even though i took every job. My guess was since my area wasn’t “busy” it didn't rly consider it, but it just straight up told me i didnt work the hours said when i know for a fact a whole $40, 3 hour shift from uber didnt just fly into my account. The app needs improvement, but regardless of the issues, i see it going places.

This is an honest review. I was excited when I read what solo can do for me as a side hustler. I have used and still using the Gridwise app which does everything solo does but more accurate when it comes mileage tracking. And it’s doesn’t cost arm and leg. But this app did well retrieving my income accurately and provide me an estimate tax liability. that’s it. It will track your mileage whether you’re working or not and doesn’t matter what car your drive, the mileages are always recorded but far from accuracy. I also feel to intrusive and collects lots of data. After trying two days, I uninstalled it.
I’ve been using this app since October 21. I can’t imagine not scheduling without it to maximize my time and money. All you do is link you driver accounts. I absolutely love the Guarantee Pay feature. Yes, they do pay you the difference. What’s also cool is that you get to see a complete breakdown analysis of your driving earnings. Support and Customer device is excellent with fast response. No question is too dumb. Lol
The battery drain has substantially made the app power hungry. Within 30 minutes it drained my battery to 60%. I am on an iPhone 15 ProMax iOS version 17.4.1. We need to get this fixed. I do pay for solo basic for automatic milage tracking. But as of this update im thinking about demanding partial refund even though i paid for the year in full. But when i cant work for more than hour because my battery is dead due to this app there is a problem. This isnt a 1 star because i do think the automated tracking is really good. If you can immediately fix my problems ill boost the rating back up.
Yeah they guarantee but only if it’s less than $5. I worked a week and guaranteed over $450 and they still have not paid the guarantee. Submitted driving information directly from Uber and I keep being told system issues. Well I check daily and they say no Uber issues. I pay for the pro subscription to not get the full benefits. I purposely scheduled myself and works each hour on auto accept to test their guarantee which they failed, so in theory I’m canceling my subscription because that is guaranteed from me to them and they want it regardless of app issues. Don’t believe me test their guarantee and see what happens…. EXCUSES.
I am a veteran rideshare driver. Tried the app out, and it was useless. I couldn’t log my trips and the “guaranteed pay” option was non existent. I made sure to cancel my subscription before the trial was up, but there was no obvious way to do this. So I just deleted my entire account completely, which you would think would be plenty to end the subscription. It wasnt. I was charged $46 after I deleted my entire account. I complained and was promised a full refund. That was a month ago and still nothing. I don’t even get a response back to my emails. This app is trash and their subscription is another example of predatory and shady business practice. STAY AWAY!!!!
It is the only app that I have found that will do what I need it to do as far as keeping track of mileage. It has other perks like tax filing and keeping track of income, and tax liability, but mostly it saves me a hour each day of recording all my DoorDash mileage into a notebook. It also will link to other online platforms that you might need to record mileage for.
Do not download you aren’t gonna get paid anything and will literally just waste your time and money. You have to buy credits to guarantee the hours you chose to work but if you make more than the couple credits you chose for the day you get nothing and they don’t tell you that. For example I guaranteed 7 hours which was like $120 and since I made more than 120 the whole week I don’t get anything which they don’t tell you that and from how they put it makes it seam like for the hours you chose and scheduled at certain time. It was all a lie and now they won’t even email me back to at least explain
It says that the average income for Lyft in Atlanta is $14/hr lol. No it’s not. I’ve consistently made $24-$30/hour in Atlanta doing Lyft. So how am I supposed to use this app? I can’t. I’d be paying for nothing. Maybe this works out for smaller cities? Idk. But if you’re not getting the averages correct then there’s not much of a point in using this app. There’s definitely no purpose in paying for it. The peak times to drive are hit and miss and it doesn’t accurately hit what times are best for what parts of Atlanta and the outskirts. It’s just not up to par imo. Not enough to ask for a subscription fee. I’d be spending money for no reason and in this economy lol no. That’s not happening.
Basically a pay to play app and then if you want to use their “guaranteed pay” you have to buy credits. Reminds me of those pyramid scheme people that tried to get you to sell Herbalife. The free trial did not impress me in the slightest. Honestly the guaranteed pay is so minimal I don’t know how you wouldn’t make it in one or two pax/deliveries in under 15 mins. Now the tracking income and expenses that’s a great feature, but it was missing 1/2 my rides and 1/3 of my miles, and other apps do it better and for free. I won’t be finding out about the tax filing feature or anything else cause .. delete. Disappointment.
DO NOT GET THIS APP IT IS A SCAM. They will make it sound all good then you will try to guarantee your hours they say your guaranteed x amount of money. Then when it “processes” it will go from example guaranteed $31 to oh you only worked $.22 of it even though you didn’t I drove for 6 hours straight with DoorDash and was to be guaranteed $41 and some change and after it took two days to process I ended up with $.22 of the guaranteed money because they said I didn’t work the entire time even though I can prove it in my DoorDash account I did. They are just trying to steal your money.
There are times that I turn off auto tracking because I am driving around not working and all I want it to auto track is when I am working. Well, guess what? It still auto tracks. The whole reason for the above paragraph is because I cannot figure out how much time sitting in one spot stops a ride and starts a new ride. Any answers to that? Other than the issue I brought up I like the app and am switching to this over Quickbooks Self-Employed.
Chile, they nickel and dime you. You have to work 1 trip per hour but on instacart it takes about 1 hr to 2 hours for an order. Also it’s nice that they are making sure that you get paid a certain amount if you don’t make a certain amount however, the amount they offer you is so low it’s obvious they’re trying not to pay at all. Also you have to log into your app every time you connect solo. One more thing is why do you have to pay to guarantee. When you pay for something you don’t get guess what that’s called.
I love this app and would recommend it to any gig worker, but especially to those working more than one platform! I’ve been using it for about three weeks and can already see a major difference in my income! It’s also taken a huge amount of stress off my plate as I do use multiple platforms.
Really enjoyed it but ran into too many issues I can no longer trust this app to accurately track my miles. From grouping trips together improperly and doubling the miles I drove. To now just altogher not recording a single a mile of my trip. Customer service is great and very quick to respond normally which is why I give 2 stars instead of 1. But considering the info needed from this working reliably and accurately 100% of the time is crucial, I will no longer pay to use this and I will use a more reliable app.
Solo! Solo! I can’t get the full service of solo but what I can get from them I have really enjoyed . I would recommend everything bout them because they capture everything when it comes to gig workers. Thanks Solo. Just wish I could get the extra especially when I don’t meet goal you all have set .

Mileage tracking is inaccurate and I’m usually missing 4 - 10 miles every day that I work. I was unknowingly logged out for the past two days and none of the miles I drove were recorded as a result. I didn’t receive any sort of notification saying I needed to log back in; I just happened to check the log and found out that way. If you’re going to ask people to pay for your app it needs to work and at least notify people when they’ve been logged out.
Loved this app at first was amazing paid me the difference when I wouldn’t make it like the guarantee said but now all the sudden this past week they owed me $30 but decided to pay me .29¢ instead?!? When asked to break it down how they came up with that it was a useless response. Don’t waste your $70 on the full version of it. It’s pathetic if they can’t even guarantee the guarantee. They claim i only worked 7.25 hours when I spent from 8:19 am till 5:16 was the last order I accepts so complete around 5:50 pm is wayyyyy more than 7.25 hours.
Discovered this app because a YouTuber had a link. This is one of those apps that becomes a brick once the subscription runs out. Everyone needs money, I get it but do I get to retain anything? Inflation occurs because everyone needs more money. I am trying to support my family, pay rent, and earn an honest living. I would rather deal with advertisements. I would delete my account but the app will not even allow me do that. So I am just uninstalling the app. I will just teach myself how to do my own taxes. Thanks anyways.
I got the app to try it out and out of nowhere a few weeks later my battery started draining rapidly. So I looked at the battery usage and over 50% was being used by this app. So I deleted it and it fixed the problem. The battery was being used so much that it was going down even while plugged in to the charger. I had to stop dashing and ubereats to figure out what was going on. It could’ve been a disaster because I might have had an order and then my phone shuts off.
Several minutes in after connecting work accounts, so far so good. Don’t usually write reviews. Be patient in the beginning in takes some time for solo to import your data from each app into the system
I really appreciate having the opportunity to test this app before purchasing this. However, shortly after using this app, my battery depleted quickly, my device kept getting hot, and I discovered that I was being hacked. Also, this app continued to work in the background collecting information from the Lyft app although it was logged out. I don’t know exactly what’s going on with this app, but I do know that the shenanigans stopped immediately upon uninstalling this app.
Why does Uber app say to change my password after connecting with your app I love this app so far makes it 100% easier then doing it the old fashion way just not a lot of reviews is this a new app? but saw your Instagram and your team looks professional so I’m a trust y’all 🤝
You guys have done an amazing job, and keep making updates that are helpful and add a competitive edge to the market. Helps track my miles and money I make from all my separate gig apps, and have easily downloadable spreadsheets for my finances over the year.
I can’t link my accounts, support is slow to responding. I was hoping to use with my ride share because of the functionality but looks like it doesn’t work me. Solo wanted a phone called with a technician, no help what so ever. They can’t figure out why I can’t link accounts. What’s the point if you can’t link accounts. Terrible app at this point and can’t no answer to why it can’t link my accounts. I will be deleting. It’s not worth a one star at this point. Just terrible.
I have been using this app for only a short time , but it tracks everything across the all platforms that I currently use! The only app that i use currently that doesn’t show up is the Driver App for BiteSquad but I enter they data manually.
This app been perfect to use since I stopped working from home and I’m able to track my expenses being back in the office. I’m not the most tech savvy person and the overall app is easy to navigate even for someone like me.
This app does not do what it says it does first of all it does not track miles. It also tries to force you to have your location running at all times in the background sorry but if I’m not working, you don’t need to know what I’m doing. Even when you drive with the app open it’s still not logging miles. I would like my money back 100%. You’ve lost a customer. You’re just predatory Uber and Lyft do not do not collect anyone’s money
What seems like it would work manually it doesn't track like it said it would. I’d rather manually track my miles, then lies another issue with for manually typing into the apps info miles: , Time:, and while it does work tracking I cant seem to track the time to add this to my driving time. It could be better but thats my review for now.
This app is very helpful in everything and it's also giving you the motivation to work hard as you can see their predictions for the day! will definitely recommend Solo to other gig workers!

Man my second app I’m deleting because it can’t be counted on as more than a mile tracker, if it doesn’t work 100% of the time I’m just going back to my spreadsheet and using Stride as a simple mail tracker, taking a day to calculate personal versus business automatically if it isn’t 100% reliable it can’t be counted on, doorDash and GrubHub have not been tracked for weeks even though the connections say they’re there
I thought it was so cool that they do a referral program and you can get a bonus for signing up. But I’m also a fan of the fact that they track your mileage for you!
This app works well for the rideshare guidance and trackjbg but it leaves the GPS in active mode even when not on a trip. In the last day this app accounts for over 20% of my battery usage. I just requested a refund from Apple. If they can set the GPS to passive when not on a trip I will reconsider.
