Squiggle Drop

I played the levels and loved ‘em so much. But there needs to be more levels ‘cause it is pretty boring with no more to play. Also, why not add a new feature to create levels yourself. Make ‘em as easy or hard as can be! The s’more level (the end) is very nice, but the create level I mentioned and the more levels are my main topic. Thanks! Also, when is the next update coming? I completed all the new levels in ONE day. That update was like two days ago.

I love the idea of puzzles that you solve with mechanics. I truly enjoyed the first ten levels or so. Then I ran into something I couldn’t figure out. So I used a hint. Then a second one- to see what the solution was. Then I followed the dots and drew their solution: “try again “. What?! Yes, over and over I was drawing over their dotted lines and failed. What’s the point?! It’s extremely demotivating to discover that the solution proposed by the developers doesn’t work for the ver problem they have designed! Next: throw away the idiotic music and effects and start over. Same for “what are you building?” I personally played the game for puzzles. Don’t care about “building” anything, nor about how many points each level earned, nor for the next button. I mean literally, after completing a level, it takes you no less than three clicks to get to another level. Waste of time, distraction, and counteracts any satisfaction and mental relaxation you have just gained.

I played through the original game fine. Got all achievement except one kept having to be redone. Then I started on the new levels that came out, and the very first one seems to be almost impossible. I gave in and used the clues for the first time ever, and copied the exact shape and it still didn’t work. I tried ramps, I tried a ball, I tried levers. I can’t get it. I’m guessing they got it to work one very particular way, and I just can’t. It feels like the harder levels of the game is less about being creative with drawing and more about duplicating pixel perfectly whatever “solution” they have for a few of these. After like an hour of trying to get it to work I can’t play this game anymore.

I hate the game! It is such a bad game but my mom won’t let me delete it so I have to just keep it but it’s horrible. I’m watching descendants right now but I just don’t know why my mom wants me to keep it if I don’t like it do you know what I mean? I bet you do and if any of you want this app don’t get it, because it is the worst game in the history of games! Now I know you probably think that’s silly but it’s true! I wish it wasn’t even a game and for you people like it don’t get it because the levels are so hard there’s one which means you had to protect the cake and I drew a big long square that didn’t have a bottom and it said you have failed. Can you believe it was I can now one more thing never go to level 16. It’s the dumbest app ever! Bye!

My problem about the game is that I am stuck on a level a level where a car is driving and I need to draw a bridge so it doesn’t fall but it was to hard and I did what it told me to draw and it never worked the car keeps falling maybe try making a button to skip level? Over all the game is very relaxing I say try it out if you have Apple Arcade and write what you think and maybe you even want to tell more people to play it anyways please try this game out and have a happy day or night

Levels like “Traverse the Crevasse” are impossible for people who can’t draw PERFECTLY with normal-sized fingers. I knew the solution before tapping the hint box. Just had to confirm I wasn’t crazy. Yep. That’s what I thought. Try 100 times to draw the exact line shown in the hint. Tiny irregularities in the solution I’m drawing make it not work. You can’t even trace the exact line because the SOLUTION GOES OUTSIDE OF THE DRAWABLE AREA! Test your levels, externally! Also, as a full-time composer and sound designer for games, I can say that the audio completely ruins the experience and I turn the sound off. Really promising game but needed some second opinions before releasing to the public.

This starts fun, but later levels require you to stop trying to find your own solution and instead try to come up with the pixel perfect solution that the developer has in mind. “Fix the bridge” is a perfect example of this problem. The solution is simple but it has to be drawn EXACTLY how the devs intend with no room for creativity. There is no way to edit or adjust the last doodle or have it “re-run” your last doodle to time it differently with on-screen moving parts or just to see what happened again. All doodle attempts must be run from scratch. Good concept of a game severely damaged by un-fun level design and interface weakness.

As others have said, the first levels are great, but as you progress, you’ll find levels where there is essentially only one solution. After using tokens to reveal that solution, you can still get stuck trying to trace it well enough that it actually works. It’s possible the difficult solutions were intentional and— were this app not completely free due to a partnership with Apple Arcade— would’ve been used as motivation for the user purchasing more solution-unlocking tokens, but it could just show a lack of play testing and careless design.

This game is sort of a strategy game, making you come up with a creative solution for every puzzle you come across. ALL of the levels are possible, but some are harder than others, and those require you to either think a bit harder, or use more trial and error. I’m looking forward to future updates!

I love the game! It is a five star. But, I downloaded the game at the middle of a week and I finished the game with all the achievements * except one. See down below* on that weekend. I think the problem is either the game is to easy or it needs more levels. *And the achievement description doesn’t really explain how to do it. Example: Man Of 1000 Faces didn’t have a clear definition. Overall, the game is great. Keep working on hard levels to trick us!

The puzzles are great, and the concept is unique, but the precision required for some of the levels is absurd. I’ve spent 10+ minutes on a single level, drawing the same design over and over, because I’m not a pixel-perfect surgeon. “But [reviewer],” you might be thinking “there’s an option for hints.” Yes, I’m glad you pointed out. Five of those 10 minutes were spent trying to replicate the exact pattern it gave me, which was nearly identical to the one I’d been trying. A game’s difficulty shouldn’t be 100% tied to the mechanics required to play.

Squiggle Drop is a fun game, it challenges your brain to figure out what you should draw in an enclosed space to figure out the level. Great! I mean.. at first. Later on, the levels get a little more difficult. I’m stuck on 2 levels right now. Even though I bought the hints, and traced the dotted lines many many many times, I still fail. What? I hope this gets fixed later on. Also, please do not download this game if you’re short-tempered. Thanks for reading :)

still LOVE it!! The newer rounds def seemed to take it up a notch. I found myself trying hints. This game challenges me to utilize my logical approach while also being creative. It’s a perfect flow for me. I have completed achievements only for more to be introduced with the with the next round. it’s perfect that we get new levels and achievements. Great fun!!

Addictive. So far pretty easy (level 13 currently). Did not like the vaccinating the patient, almost deleted the app (still might and I am not an anti-vaxxer). My favorite apps are time killers in couple minute intervals. I do not have time to build and remember what armies are doing. Overall 👍

I mean I really like this game but some levels have the most random drawings I’m to the point I am using my coins on every question. Also when I have to go or turn my device of and im half way through the level it teleports me back to the beginning and I try to go back but I cant sometimes the levels are really hard and I think I finished it so I go out and turns out I wasn’t finished and I have to do it all over again sooooo ya…

The games idea is not executed well. Many levels require a certain solution to pass, and are designed around these solutions. The hints/solutions don’t even work some of the time, and sometimes the hints/solutions require you to draw out of the drawing area. Perfect curves are impossible to replicate without a pen, making some levels taking tens of tries just to get the curve perfect enough to work. Some bugs are also present, and sometimes my lines phase right through floating ground pieces on the car levels. Would not recommend.

This is a fun game. However, many of the puzzles require your drawing to be absolutely perfect, which you’ll find can be difficult using a finger on a touch screen. If the level of perfection required could be massaged a little, this game would be great rather than a frustrating experience. Probably would be a better experience on an ipad rather than iphone.

It takes 15 minutes of getting used to but it’s a amazing time pastor and very fun and satisfying. Plus it’s puzzles. I absolutely love the game. Sure I will need him once and then and it’s a little confusing but once you get used to it it’s amazing amazing. Amazing I couldn’t fix anything. I only just got the game and I’ll love it.

The music slaps, I would love a few more tracks so the loop isn’t so short. The sax bossa nova is particularly catchy and comforting. The puzzles vary in difficulty, and none have seemed impossible yet, while still providing a creative challenge. The UI is great, with simple and fun designs. Great stuff, thanks!

Physics aren't that good. They only give you a limited space to draw in and a lot of times things you're supposed to stop have way more force than they should or none at all. For example there's a little car that you have to build a bridge to get it over, but the car plows through all of your giant drawings but can't get over a pixel high curb. A physics game should be way more open to different ways to do a puzzle.

The game is fun at the start but gradually the problems shift from thinking out the solution to trying to draw pixel-precise solutions where you know the answer but cannot draw it JUST the way required .. and where is the fun in that? And on one puzzle the game kept jumping back to Try Again just when the solution was about to work.

Lots of potential but horrible execution. Some of the levels require a level of precision to draw that is impossible with a finger on a phone. Like you know what the shape should be but if is more than a few pixels off it doesn’t work. Even WITH the answer provided it can be insanely difficult. There needs to be a way to fine edit before dropping and/or allowing the previous attempt to be tuned.

I like the concept, but the animations move really slow its like there’s a delay between when the object settles and try again.. I think that should be sped up . Also this is not a good game for four year olds, only because they have to read the instructions maybe 5 or 6 at best especially since some of the words are not words they’d be familiar with

But I can’t make anymore stars until I play a level. Previous levels won’t grant a star. So I guess this is as far as I go. Also what is up with being sent to that building thing when I hit play for another stage? I don’t want to build anything and it doesn’t help me progress or get stars. If it does help, I have no way of knowing. Where’s the instructions? Some context? Was genuinely loving this game, what a let down.

Squiggle drop is a great game! I love playing it all the time. You can draw and create shapes to complete puzzles. I love how you can make your very own squiggle town. I was so glad to see the game on Apple Arcade. I gave the game a 5 star because it is just the best game ever. Happy gaming!

I really love this game. I’ve beaten it twice. However, it doesn’t calculate my achievements right I have to keep winning over over and over again in one category. Then when I go into the statistics game center has it says only have 34 out of 55 I’ve got 55 out 55 at least 10 times. Please give us more game and calculate correctly.!!

I like it overall, engaging and makes you think. Some of the solutions are wayyy out there, but you can easily get “hints” Improvements needed: A change to the level menu layout, it is hard to tell what it complete and what is not, etc. Need more levels!

I had a save file that was going well until I got to the level where you need to get the car across the cliff. No matter how many times I tried I couldn’t beat it. Even the hint didn’t work. Is there any way to beat this level? This is a good game overall besides this though.

If you’re gonna make a game about drawing accurately to solve puzzles, at least make the drawing accurate. If I’m trying to make a curve why is it making straight lines? This game needs lots of work… concept is great but it’s impossible. Can’t even pass levels because when you try to draw clean curves and you get jagged draw straight lines. Maybe if this was a octagon drawing game this would work better.

I love this game and I love to draw so I give this game a five star rating some of the levels are really hard like squeezing out the soap, you have to get the perfect amount.I’m 9 years old right now so I hope you like my review!

I got through tons levels, and enjoyed most of them. Then I got to the “Fix the clock” level. I tried for an hour, across two different evenings, just to clear my head. Finally, for the first time, I actually gave up and asked for a hint. After probably 20 minutes, still unable to solve it, I spent the virtual coins to get the answer. I have spent 20 minutes – with an Apple Pencil – tracing the actual answer. And the slightest, tiniest, most imperceptible difference of my stroke causes a completely different outcome. TRY AGAIN. No. I won’t. I can’t. This went from “fun” to “maddening”.

Couldn’t traverse the road once, so I sought a hint. It gave me the answer. Couldn’t draw it. Literally had the answer but could complete the level because of the need to be so perfectly exacting. With a finger, not really possible. Many of the levels are creative and fun, but the box often doesn’t read where I believe I am drawing and the inability to be more precious saps the fun.

This game is so fun but when I want to find out the answers it gives me the wrong way, although some times it’s correct it’s not always so can you put a skip level thing (button , you need to use tokens)

The game was fun until I got to I think level 9 where you have to do a car crossing a chasm, and I just cannot cross it even though I have paid for the “answer” where it shows you a drawing. What a bummer that you can’t skip or forfeit to move on.

I finished the set games and now follow the daily challenges. I can’t solve all of them but I can do most. Wish: a replay button so I can show off my solution.

Yields game gives you no chance to advance levels unless you pass the previous level. So I am left only getting to play the daily challenge each day.

I love playing this game and it is good for wasting time, but my only problem which is a huge one is the bugs. Usually when you draw a rectangle to the side, it will break the physics or purely phase through the map. Valve level tends to have items float when pushing the rock, or they noclip.

This game is so fun because you can draw your imagination into the game to complete the level! Also you can buy stuff to put stuff on its whatever there called

So squiggle drop isn’t that good because, some of the levels you can’t even do? But some of them I really like but it’s not really worth the download. Sometimes I try to work on 1 LEVEL for an hour and it still doesn’t work so don’t download plus I might DELETE the app

There’s definitely a fun game in there, but the controls are so imprecise that even when you buy the solution to a level you might have to repeat the level tens of times hoping that you got it just right and that it’ll work that time.

My issue is that the hints that show you what to draw are wrong in certain levels like for example level “aim the laser” that just makes it hard to play and just a waste of coins to buy hints

I like it it’s just that whenever you try to like close the bridge and the hints that it uses it doesn’t work and then I run out of hands and every single time I’m trying that exact same hit every time on a level and it makes you so mad that I don’t make it.

It’s a fun and interesting game! And you don’t need WiFi for it! And for most people I think they would love this! So download this now!

It’s really hard to get into the game and I want to give it a 5 star rating because it’s a good game and it is hard because you can’t do the tike shooting star on level 4 but it saved my mom from having cancer.

Honestly this is a pretty simple game but for someone who has anxiety and panic attacks this has helped ground me a lot. The music and easy playability is enough to distract me and calm myself down :)

I spent like 20 days on connect the pipes but thanks to the extra hints I finally finished the game! Oh and also when are the new levels coming out?

I love the background music it so nice and calming and fun but to so much that I end up getting sleepy. Cute challenges with no ads. Fun little game to play while waiting in the Dr office or just chillin.

This game is awesome to play whenever you’re bored and it’s really good thinking strategies but you can get a little angry at it but you just gotta try again

I like this game a lot. I’ve been playing it for a while now but, there is always a challenge I have to skip. In my opinion this game needs to be taken a notch down so I can get every challenge done. So please take this review seriously.

So many of the solutions involve drawing perfect curves. On my iPhone is it literally impossible to draw a curve. Attempting to draw a circle even results in some kind of polygon. Maybe this works better on an iPad with a bigger screen? But on an iPhone it is infuriating.
